    (MOC/MOD)-Pet Shop Furnitures

Hello everyone, today I present to you another mod of a Lego modular. This time it's Pet Shop 10218. With a view to wanting to complete all the Modulars by Lego for my diorama, I started thinking about how to exploit the few spaces available. I must say that the apartment above the shop gave me the biggest headaches, as there was very little space there and although I managed to use all the original pieces, I had to add a 6x10 plate on the top floor. This allowed me to move the bed, add a small closet and the bathroom. On the first floor, however, I completed the furnishings with an armchair, another chair and a guitar. As for the painter's apartment, I was very hesitant to represent it as an apartment under renovation, but in the end I decided to furnish this one too. On the ground floor I created a recessed cabinet for the television and moved the couch towards the front. This way I was able to raise a wall to place a small kitchen near the bathroom and a corner table. On the first floor, where the painter is working, there is the bedroom, while on the top floor I left an attic area, but on the terrace I placed a barbeque. Hope you like it. The stud.io model is freely downloadable from Rebrickable. https://www.flickr.com/photos/kevin8/albums/72177720312356334 https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-161481/kevin8/10218-pet-shop-furnitures/#admin
  2. (I have put the older pictures of the previous model in the spoiler tag below. This way, you can compare the models of the building and car.) This Adventurers model was inspired by my original Johnny Thunder office building from 2015. I modified it into a corner building with a tower like in set 10255 (assembly square). The building is modular, and comes apart into three sections: roof, second floor and main floor. This model is my actually second tallest creation, as it's shorter than Sam Sinister's Mansion and only slightly taller than my Saloon. Here you can see Johnny Thunder and his car (the aptly-named "Treasure Raider") outside the building. The rear of the building is blank, as it it would be sandwiched next to other buildings. The vent on the roof leads from the stove on the second floor. The lower floor features a cabinet from set 10228 (Haunted House) and a 1920's style ivory phone borrowed from set 10218 (Pet Shop). A hat rack (also from the Pet Shop set) is next to the wall opposite the desk. The far wall features some treasure from Johnny and his friends many adventurers, such as the Golden Shield from "Orient Expedition", a T-Rex tooth from "Dino Island", a trident from the "Quest for Atlantis", the replica hammer of the Thunder god from the "Age of Ragnarok", the helmet of a dwarf from "Middle Zealand", and many others artifacts. The upper floor features Johnny's bed, a stove, table with root beer bottle, and a radio / record player. This model was inspired by the tan car in set 7628 (Shanghai Chase) from the Indiana Jones them. The car now features a hard-top roof instead of the original fabric one, with one section of the roof being removable to allow for two figures to be seated inside plus a rear-mounted spare tire. The model also has a rear-mounted spare tire, located right next to the taillights. The inside of the car seats two figures side-by-side. 3/4/17 Major update complete: I added new pictures of the updated house and car, plus i put the older models into a spoiler tag for you to compare between old and new. Comments, Questions and Complaints are always welcome!

    Pet shop retirement

Hello A while ago I bought the lego pet shop. I really like the set but I'm not really fond of it. I love the design but I have no connection with it. In my other lego sets I recognize stuff I like. In my emerald night I recognize how I loved steam engines when I was little, or in my star wars sets I recognize the awesome movies. The pet shop is a nice building and I love the way it looks but I don't have a connection with it. (I don't know if you get it ) So I still have the box and I thought I'd sell it when it retires and the price goes up. I thought it would almost retire when I bought it but it still hasn't. Any idea when it's going to retire? Thanks.

Is Pet Shop gone for good?

I was thinking of picking up another Pet Shop, but Lego Shop @ Home indicates it is 30 days out of stock. It's been sitting at "30 days out of stock" for some time now. I did order another two weeks ago, but all I've gotten from Lego is that they are sorry to report that my set will be delayed. Is delayed really delayed, or will be delayed become, "Sorry, you should've bought it when you could!"?
