It's been a while since I've done these kind of semi-diorama models, and thankfully I haven't lost all my touch. Despite "Winery" being in the name, I designed it to look more like a house and it functions as one for the most part as well, but I can assure you that this model is positively alcoholic!! ....just like myself ......(I'm kidding, alcohol tastes weird...) This model is designed to look like a sort of diorama built and glued on top of a round piece of light wood. But to be honest, I can't really tell if it's giving off that look. The build for the trees were inspired from Brother Steven's trees, but I altered some things to make the construction legal. Aside from the trees, there aren't much details on the back, other than some dried leaves and stone paths on the ground. Just wanted to keep things simple. (or maybe that's just an excuse for being lazy to add more stuff.) The only alcoholic part of the model. Which probably puts the alcohol content at 10%. (Mmmmmm... LEGO would not approve..) The increased base height allowed for a cellar to be implemented, but the walls still had to jut a couple of bricks above the ground and even then the wine racks still stick out by a plate high, which posed a challenge when building the floor above as it could have made the house too tall (which would look really weird) I always have the habit of just focusing on the exterior part and then shoehorning the interior at the last part, and that's exactly what I did here. It's probably dumb luck that the interior managed to turn out pretty nice, because I wasn't trying that hard (like going through 10 iterations, I only did 1). The raised kitchen floor was also another accidental idea which happens to work really well. The effects of shoehorning an interior to accommodate the exterior design can really be seen in this floor. The interior turned out alright, but the look of "there isn't enough of space, and I'm just trying to cramp furniture inside" is clearly evident. Although I do think the exposed wooden beams look kinda cool even if it feels a little stuffier. Welp that's about it. As a bit of an additional note, the model contains about 5,949 pieces and measures 60x60 studs. Only bricks in available colors were used, so it's buildable in real life if you have the parts (and instructions...) Even if it takes a bit more effort, it does feel sort of refreshing to have only used existing part colors when designing digitally. Emmett and Lucy's dream home 10228 / 70831 MOD - with LDD file

Just another imagining of Emmett's house from after the events of The Lego Movie 2, in colors of set 70831, (Emmet's Dream House/Rescue Rocket!) but in the style of 10228. (Haunted House) The model opens up like a dollhouse, and lock shut on a technic pin. This flight of fancy is 100% build-able in real bricks, should I ever choose to do so. The black antenna you see on the roof is for the TV inside the house. You may ask: "Why does a Edwardian home have a vintage TV antenna?" Here is the answer: The home is based in the interior decorating styles of the 1950's, but was originally built in 1910's. It was bought as a gutted wreck by Emmet and Lucy a couple years back, and they restored it to it's former glory. (with some mid-'50's-esque additions, of course) On the side of the house is the kitchen door, which leads to the car in the driveway. On the opposite side of the home is the chimney flue, with TV antenna attached at the top. Inside the front door is the living room, with vintage rabbit-eared TV, Planty, a lamp, and Aqua-colored couch. Also on this floor we have the stove / oven unit. Upstairs is the rotary telephone and grandfather clock. The double bed, record player, and a display cabinet are also on this floor. The studs on the new fireplace should have number tiles reading 1914, as that's when the house was built.... and it's 100 years before the original LEGO Movie came out. (The two medium blue posters on the second level should have stickers depicting Emmett & Lucy both as pictures in frames.) The car is inspired by this recent @hachiroku Indiana Jones 4 build as seen here. This car fits in with Emmet's original smart car color-wise, but just a little older style-wise. (Most of the car model is already built from my last model of Emmett's house, but a few parts for the new lower side skirts are still needed.) The rear has a license plate and two (new!) coverings almost fully obscuring the rear wheels, in true early-'50's style. Six new brackets are missing from the car model on the rear bumper. (Two of these pieces in Light Bluish Gray, along with Four of this part in Black are required to finish the car.) The roof is held on by four studs, and is as such removable. I have also included light bluish gray upholstery for the back of the seat, which can fit two people next to each other. (Emmett and Lucy are the most likely occupants, obviously.) [WIP] Skull Rock Lighthouse - a tropical pirates haven from sets 71722 + 71717 + 70431

The light house of Skull Rock was once kept lit by a order of monks, who believed the nearby skull-shaped cliff face (carved by the former native islander inhabitants) was a sign from "The Man Upstairs" that is was an evil place. The monks were later killed off in 1708 by scurvy and other diseases, leaving only one alive who went insane from the ordeal, claiming he saw ghosts of several past wrecked ships' captains. In 1710, the pirate Captain Henry Smithfield of the infamous "Yago" found skull island and skillfully managed to sail through the island coral reefs unaided except by the light and a keen sailor's intuition. He was inspired to take over operation of the light, but eventually had to maroon the mad monk on a nearby deserted island as he was too crazy even for pirates! The light is still lit only occasionally, mostly when trying to wreck merchant and pirate hunter ships onto the reefs to be plundered thereon. This island is known to the area's native islanders as Hazar-dues, or to it's pirate inhabitants and imperial captives as Skull Rock. NOTE: The name of the island is said like the word, "Hazardous" (which is quite apt for it's windswept rocky surface!) I'm taking @Faladrin lead with his similar model and one-upping it to include the entire skull rock, and a dock for pirate ships of all types! NOTES: The set conversion is mostly (98%) finished as of 1/28/21. The as-yet unbuilt lighthouse portion is on order from Bricklink as of yesterday. This new piece will replace the crane section of the dock. I've also realized that all the set 71722's features are tied together by gearing / rods, such as: - The rotating scythes on the walkway to the officer's quarters behind the eyes. - the moving "wave" walkway to the base of the waterfall. (which opens up!) - the lowering / raising of the wooden cage holding the (deceased) bluecoat Admiral. ..and all this is activated by cranking the large U-shaped handle on the left! The front clips of sets 71722 (Skull Sorcerer's Dungeons) connect to a wooden dock model (seen below). The two Ninjago set's (the other is 71717, Journey to the Skull Dungeons) will be modified to have blue parts instead of orange and trans-orange for the bases and "lava drip" parts. I plan on using these sets, plus this dock, in conjunction with my other pirate ships, seen below. Inside the lower portion of Skull rock is the pirates treasure room, with gold aplenty and a few jewels. The upper floor is for the Captain Smithfield when not at sea. Here is the lighthouse proper. The wooden crane is for offloading cargo / loot off the smaller boats after leaving the big pirate ship. The spinning lens idea is from 70431 (Lighthouse of Darkness) from the Hidden Side theme. The front clips of sets 71722 (Skull Sorcerer's Dungeons) connect to a wooden dock model. (seen farther down the page) The two Ninjago set's (the other is 71717, Journey to the Skull Dungeons) are currently being modified to have blue parts instead of orange and trans-orange for the bases and "lava drip" parts. I plan on using these sets, plus all the custom dock / lighthouse parts for my island. This building model comes apart into three modular sections: - lighthouse, lower level (this is sleeping / storage area for the crew when not at sea.) - light house, upper level (storage area for whale oil for keeping the light lit) - actual light - (rotates around, though it's usually lit for use in misguiding ships onto the nearby rocky coral reef surrounding Skull Island.) The docks model also comes apart into three modular sections: - The working wooden crane (left side, which will be implemented into the lighthouse) - The corner with cannon (behind the others) - The dock extension (right side) Here is that unlucky monk today, with his one-shot pistol on Twenty-paces Island. (I'm getting a palm tree for this island.... still have to order the parts!) The whole setup of Skull Rock so far. The Minecraft-based Seacow, as captained by Peg-Leg Stevie. Not sure what to call this type of ship, though it kinda reminds me of the Santa Maria from Columbus' first trip. The brig Yago, as seen here and captained by Henry Smithfield. The Golden Bounty pirate junk, as seen in this topic and led by Captain Soto. (picture of Joly Roger goes here) Captain Hook's Jolly Roger isn't done yet, so no picture or topic... waiting on a certain flying boy for that. Here is a little house set in Varlyrio that served as a prize in the 2020 Summer Joust. It was compliant with the restrictions of the Purist Parts category: "Only 1x1 brick with stud on one side, 1x2 brick with two studs on one side, and 1x4 brick with four studs on one side are allowed outside of traditional square plates and bricks. All other elements are not allowed to be used visibly, or inside your model." Which was a real challenge, especially at this scale. Thanks for looking, feedback welcome

A year ago, I've built this MOC together with a friend. We built this MOC for several LEGO events. We both like the TV series of Shin Chan, that's why we built a minifig version of the Shin Chan house. Background: Shin Chan is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yoshito Usui. This follows the adventures of the five-year-old Shinnosuke "Shin" Nohara and his parents, baby sister, dog, neighbours, and friends and is set in Kasukabe, Saitama Prefecture of Japan. Shin Chan first appeared in 1990 in a Japanese weekly magazine. As usual in this period it's time for a Christmas themed creation and this is a cozy shelter for Santa Claus and his reindeer. Speaking of the brand new reindeer it's really cute! The house is a typical A-frame cabin, a kind of cottage I do really like. This is probably my last MOC for this year and I wish you all Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Stilt Houses: how to live 30 feet in the air! Partially inspired by the films of the masterful animation filmmaker Hayao Miyazaki - I'm not actually referring to a particular film but rather its unique style and atmospheres - my latest creation features two weird guys living 30 feet in the air in minimal but cozy stilt houses. The starting point for this work was the tent on the right stilt house, a very strange and forgotten element from a mid-2000s Indiana Jones set. At first I was thinking of a single pile dwelling then I added the second on the left joined by a crumbling bridge. And gradually I inserted various details and elements, some of which are really bizarre. The off-road vehicle is ready to deal with mud and rough terrain and complete with all the necessary tools to fix it yourself in case. It is based on my previous Chevrolet Blazer spotted in the Sheriff Hopper's Cabin diorama built in 2019. Hello fellow EB users. I've created a home based on Mid-century architecture mainly inspired by homes in Palm Springs. I've used loosely based A-frame design usually found in cabins which would use a timber constructed roof but I've went with a 'concrete' one hence the use of white. I added some features form the time such as the porch with a patterned wall to allow light to pass through and some external tiling to the front as well as large windows. Only a couple of pics and no interior but I hope to work on a standalone period design soon enough. They can also be found of my flickr stream here: here Regards!

Hello! Long time ago I saw one very nice house on Instagram. I was impressed. Shape and colors were brilliant, so I thought maybe I can build a Lego replica of that. I had a view only from one perspective, but imagination made rest of the work :) This is my first house with finished interior. At the residence of Qa'Yid, one of the more wealthy inhabitants of Mophet, all is not well... Qa'Yids work as a ship captain keeps him away from home quite a bit, and as a result of this, his wife has started showing a little too much interest in the pool-boy... Hello! A year and a half ago, I saw somewhere on Flickr a building assembled on something like that. The idea came up to assemble an entire city from such buildings. At first standart basis were used, then doubled and quadruplet, and sometimes more. During this time two cities were built. I will share renders for those who are intrested. On the outskirts of Mophet, Na'zal is tending to his goats and ostriches. As the trade route between the city and the Arkbri river had been established, his otherwise solitary existence had been disturbed more than he appreciated...It did however present some opportunity for extra income, as many of the travelers needed a place to rest and eat on their way to the new port. "I guess you have to make the best of the current situation" Na'zal muttered as he went to about his business. So this is yet another addition to my growing city of Mophet in Kaliphlin. The build actually started with the green dome which I was able to find from a seller at Skaerbaek last year. Hope you like it, thanks for looking :)

4 Privet Drive house 75968 MOD with garage and rear half of house plus 1962 Ford Anglia in dark blue

Here is my heavy MOD of 2020 set 75968, 4 Privet Drive. The car is a dark blue version of the Anglia in 2018's Hogwarts Whomping Willow set (75953), and fits inside the added garage. Here is the front of the house. I added a visible chimney flue, as I didn't like how the set kept the one hidden inside the wall. The rear of the building features a greenhouse and back door to both the house and garage. The greenhouse folds up and open to get at the inside of it, which at this point holds only a telephone. On the lower floor of the inside is the living room (with record player, couch, and fireplace), kitchen and dining area (stove, sink, table and two chairs). The upper floor features a lamp on a table and a bed. This 1962 Ford Anglia 105E is based off set 75953 (Hogwarts Whomping Willow), but in dark blue. (and no, it does not fly!) The rear trunk opens slightly. Two of this part are missing in dark bluish gray, and four of this part are missing in dark blue to finish the car. The LDD file is available at Bricksafe here. First of all - the images! The images are from Imgur. Backstory of me and the model Hey! I love Lego. it is more then a toy for me - it's a form of art. an art that is very relaxing, focusing and fun. for me one of the most amazing aspects is the way it brings together so many characters and stories from difference backgrounds. Harry Potter, DC, Marvel, Star Wars, Disney, Pixar, Friends, Back to the Future, Ghostbusters, The Powerpuff Girls, and so much much more - in the past, present, and hopefully future. Now to the point - one of my favorite movies is Shrek. meme and all. it is kinda revolutionary and even though the animation is not among my top 10, the story, the characters, the writing - even though a lot of these come from bitterness towards Disney - definitely succeeds in making a master parody of the animation movies until that point. and in my opinion, it also began the meta phase of the animation movies. So my disappointment is pretty clear when it comes to the fact that we have gotten sets based on the Minions and Trolls, and not one related to my lovely ogre Shrek. So I have decided to make my own, and of course the model had to be based on the iconic swamp. The model was made in Studio 2.0, and from my experience it is the most comfortable program to work with. Actual description of the model: The model includes the hut that Shrek lives in, with a roof that has a trunk with vines growing out of it. the roof can be removed to expose a dinner table with all of the tastiest swamp's edibles. surrounding the table there is a fire place and a chimney, a pot hitting up, brick built couch and shelves with all sorts of swamp needs. When Shrek finished eating, he can go up a couple of steps to get to his room with his frog-light, his helmet from when he was mistaken for a prince, and his bed. To exit the house, there is a brick built door that leads to small walkway with BEWARE OGRE signs. Next to the house there is a small hill, and on top of it there is the toilet he uses every morning. the toilet is removable, if it's stinking up your model. All around the model there is plant life and different shades of green and brown to represent the vines coming out of everywhere, and the fact that Shrek lives in a literal tree trunk. There are also windows around the house, using the new Harry Potter wand, and the door and the bed are using the Harry Potter candle element in brown. Why are there no minifigs?? Well, I might be able to design, but I am not able to draw. I wish I did, because it's apparent for everyone that what missing here is the actual Shrek and Donkey minifigs! also, the "signs" I mentioned before is clearly not included as well. I tried to find someone who can help me and do the drawing, but no one's that's talented enough has the time for it now. I didn't want to just let it sit around, so I am uploading it to here, to hear your thoughts. Is there instructions or a part list? As I have said, I designed the model with Studio 2.0. In that program there is a way to make instructions and part list, but since my model is broken down to sub models in the program the instructions are messy and not really effective. So for now the answer is no. if I will see there is a demand for instructions, I will do my best to create it. What is the end goal? Of course that the end goal for me is to upload the project to Lego ideas. I don't want to do it without the minifigs though, so for now I give it to you, hoping to hear from you what to improve and what to keep, and maybe generate some traction for this project. Also - I am not a native English speaker - so if there are any spelling or grammar mistakes, or even if I used expressions that doesn't exists in English, please, tell me. I am very proud of this project and I am looking forward to hearing from you. thank you for taking the time to read my words and watch my project, I appreciate it.

Introduction Welcome to the brick house, the perfect house for your Minifigure. Though it's small, it has all the necessary things for your Minifigure to be comfortable. The outside of the house is modeled after a 1X1 LEGO brick for the Minifigure to feel completely at home. The build The brick house is 12 studs long and wide with a height of about 14 bricks. There are 234 bricks in the brick house. In the build, you can see a small living room with a chair, fireplace bookshelf, and a coffee table. Mariachi wagon and Mexican house One of the most vivid traditions of Mexico is surely the Mariachi culture. I’ve been always intrigued by Mariachi musicians and when LEGO released the Mariachi in Series 16 Collectible Minifigures I thought it was really cute and perfect for a Mexican themed MOC. My latest creation represents a classic Mexican scene: the Mariachi Wagon with the musicians on board ready to play the serenade to the beautiful girl on the terrace. On the right her father with his eyes well opened. The house boasts a multi-level terrace structure, a couple of arbors covered by flowers and a large patio. Cactus and plants of all kind are all around. In addition to the Mariachi, I also included in the diorama the Maraca Man (Series 2), Flamenco Dancer (Series 6), the Taco Tuesday Guy (the LEGO Movie) and the Cactus Girl (Series 18). Head to Baseplate Alley and have a blast! Here it is finally, my tenth modular building! Almost a full year after my previous (Disco 2000 Vinyl Store), I’ve put together enough ideas to fill a whole 32x32 baseplate. Architecturally, I believe this is my most complete model. The designs throughout are not only daring but also well-balanced and complement one another, something I used to struggle quite a bit with. Both buildings are almost identical in shape and proportions and vary in details and colours. In fact, originally there only was one building: the striped one on the right. I loved it so much, but I was struggling to find something that would complement it well. In the end, I thought. “If I love how this turned out, why not repeat the already existing motifs to create a grander picture?” (almost like you would in a song; the chorus and the melodies are often repeated various times). The building on the left is my favourite of the two. The orange and bright blue colour scheme of the model is taken from Henri Matisse’s “The Dance” painting and I think it looks marvellous. Both buildings sit on a rather peculiar angle. I was looking for a way to offset the model from the usual 90-degree grid and found that two of the piece 54384 (https://brickset.com/parts/design-54384) turned at about 20 degrees filled about 12.5 studs and that allowed me to build an angled façade without any seams! Duplicating that didn’t solve the slight error, but some handy trickery helped hiding it. The rest of the model is completed with Medium Nougat façades on top of a Sand Green ground floor. I especially like how the windows in Sand Green (inspiration from my own previous model) work with the façade with yellow windows on the side. My favourite bit to build of modular are cornices and rooflines; it’s quite amazing how they can transform the look of a building. The one for the striped building is one that I’ve wanted to put on a model for a really long time; I think it’s really elegant and that it suits the building nicely (I’ve had it built for roughly a year and a half). The one for the blue building is a brand-new design especially designed to both enhance the other building (this one’s set slightly further back in some areas) and make the blue building have an almost castle feeling. The roofline for the nougat part is the minimum expression of the same concept of the white roofline. Using the new arches from the large Hogwarts Castle and the 1x1 bow pieces also found to top off the black box on the ground floor of the blue building, I’ve created this wave design. It’s rather simple to be honest, only impossible for a very long time. ================== Interiors: Interiors have never been my biggest strength, but I’ve put extra effort to make them really pop in this model (it’s my tenth, I should start getting better, shouldn’t I? ). The nature of the façade makes this modular way more modular than any of my previous models. Both top floors detach into three parts, one for each façade and one for the actual interior. This was not intentional but makes this model way more playable. Beyond that, I’ve also added an open ventilation shaft to add more interest to the interior and more light to all the rooms. They have interpretations of real-life works (I will admit that some of them are not particularly easy to identify), but you can find a Picasso, a Manet, a Botticelli, a Mondrian and a Matisse. I bet you’ll see the last one. They’re telling me that Matisse himself has decorated the façade of the left building using the colours from the piece he’s presenting here… Who knows, maybe it’s the art gallery that is running low on cash! I really like how this rendering turned out, it really tells a story. 2. Middle floor: Both the top floors are dedicated to the publisher of the ABS-famous newspaper “Stud Times”. Today’s edition is a packed one! The Iron Horse is closing because of chef Emma’s death, the celebrity detective Ace Brickman is seen eating in Jim’s Diner rather than at the usual Chez Albert, news about battered leg assemblies and even a front cover advert of face transplants! On the middle floor we have the machine printing out the newspapers with all the needed tools and equipment. There’s also a hidden little play feature, there’s a little rotating crank for extra movement (it doesn’t actually do anything). And before you say it, yes, the windows on the back are copied from Downtown Diner. 3. Top floor: Piles and piles of newspapers, typewriters (the design is the same one @Bricked1980 used in his Police Station), four clocks to check what time it is in the various parts of the globe, phones, coffee mugs to swallow the sweat, a fax machine and, of course, a paper bin to throw away texts with mistakes! ================== To see everything that I haven’t been able to explain in words, feel free to take a look at the model yourselves, many of the “how was this/that made” are visible! I've been busy with life, and a little bit fed up with the same design (or very similar) with my modular buildings, so I had a break and ventured to build other themes. Nevertheless, my luck changed and my building block was overcome when I got this old raised baseplate from Poolside Paradise. I never had Paradisa sets as a child, but I liked the plate anyway and wanted to put it to good use. Since the building space is very limited, this is what I came up with. My idea was to hide the odd light green baseplate color, but leave the stone pattern of the driveway. This is why I covered the pool area with tiles representing wooden patio, and the surrounding of the raised baseplate with LBG ingots representing stones. In addition to this raised baseplate, I got several other old bricks and pieces over the last few months, and the idea was to incorporate as much as possible of them. I used the old palm tree trunks and a few pink plates around the house. Other than that I wanted a clean design with a chance to see the interior details when exhibited. In light of a tribute to Paradisa theme, I used pink and purple shades as an accent throughout the building. The ground floor is a kitchen and dining area with seating for two since it's a very small floor plan. The chrome silver cup is another old part, from the Belville series. The kitchen working space is small, there are a stove and oven, a sink, some cabinets, and a fridge. I added a green plant to live up the room a bit. The best part of this floor is, in my opinion at least, the view of the flowers, palm trees, and the pool. The parts for the palm tree trunk are not as sturdy as I expected, that's the reason the palm trees are so flexed. Nevertheless, they provide excellent shade for lounging by the pool. On the second floor, there's a bedroom with a side table and some bookshelves. Since I love to read, I want to add a touch of that to all my buildings. Color-sorted books is another thing I do at home, too. The bed has a large headboard design, with a print from the Friends Heartlake Grand Hotel. The chair and some books on this floor are from the recently acquired collection of old parts in pink. On the top floor, there's a reading nook with a comfortable chair and more bookshelves. The sliding doors open to the small terrace, where the owner keeps one of her larger plants and used the terrace as her favorite place to do some yoga or pilates early in the morning. All in all, I'm happy with the finished villa, and the hints to three different LEGO themes designed primarily for girls. While I'm not a huge fan of these themes as such, I'm excited with many of the parts these themes introduced.
