  1. Climb aboard for the 13th anniversary of the LEGO Santa Fe Super Chief! (set 10020) This model combines an updated version of the EMD F7 engine with a new cab-less "B" unit AND in a different color. (blue instead of red) This model uses new parts and new techniques not available in 2002, including the windscreen from the 2014 Cargo Train. (60052) This Bluebonnet MOC is Eurobricks user raven1280's Bluebonnet MOD with a couple of my own twists inserted in some places. For example, instead of using custom stickers for the windscreen and porthole windows, I'm using regular Lego parts. Also, the undercarriage is black (not gray) on the bluebonnet engine because of this photo: (NOTE: this photo is not mine) http://images.mocpag...681_DISPLAY.jpg See Raven1280's topic here: http://www.eurobrick...c=97381&hl=blue Please note, the 1x1 tiles printed numbers "302" are missing from the engine's nose, and the letters ATSF are missing from the carbody sides, as they are not in LDD. The rear of the engine features crew walkways. Also, there is no inside of the locomotive and the roof does not come off. Semi-fictional background: Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe #302 is one of a very rare breed. Built in August 1949 as a “A” (cab) and “B” (booster) F7 diesel unit for the Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe Railway (AT&SF), This Electro-Motive Division (EMD) product was painted in a variant of the famous Warbonnet (red yellow and silver) color scheme called Bluebonnet (blue yellow and silver). The engine was intended for freight service and did so faithfully for 28 years. In late 1977 the two unit set was on the short list for conversion to an CF7 hood unit when the Wabash Frisco & Pacific (or WF&P for short) went looking for a engine to pull it's recently refurbished Merrimack River Runner. The Santa Fe gave them a two-for-one special on the tired F7 units, with the WF&P buying the A unit and getting the B for free. The new owner realized the historic meaning of this deal more than the old owner did: this was one of the last bluebonnet engines left, and one of a handful of AT&SF F7's not converted to the horrid looking CF7 hood unit. Needless to say, the WF&P snapped up the offer, and even sent the loco to the EMD La Grange, Illinois assembly plant for the motor to be replaced with a newer, more powerful and easier-to-maintain power plant. The units came back to the WF&P in 1979, and have since been teamed up with the recently restored Southern Pacific Daylight #4460 (owned by the St. Louis-based National Transportation Museum) for trips up and around WF&P system. This story is somewhat rooted in truth: EMD did build AT&SF a F7 numbered 302, but it probably did not carry the bluebonnet scheme and was most likely scrapped or turned into a CF7 in the 1970's. The Wabash Frisco & Pacific is a 12 inch gauge mile-long ride-on railroad, and although they have diesels, they only have a Alco PA lookalike, not an EMD F7. They are based in Glencoe, Missouri, and their website is here: http://www.wfprr.com/WFPRR/ LDD file for the bluebonnet diesel units: http://www.mocpages....1430676420m.lxf (Also, I've posted this engine before, but not in it's own topic. Sorry if i did something wrong by posting it again!)

    mod Brick Bounty

Here's my little upgrade for Brick Bounty: Topsail and gaff added. 174D Sails are made of PVC fabric and dyed red with permament marker. And second upgrade: lifeboat added. C&C welcomed
  3. Fictional background: This 4-4-0 (also known as an American type) was built by Rodgers Locomotive & Machine Works for Brick Railway Systems (BRS) in 1870, and features a bright red-yellow-&-black paint scheme. Number 11 pulled passenger trains for 15 years before being reassigned to Freight duties in 1885. By 1890, the engine was worn out, and sent to a scrapper, who sold the engine to a museum for $100. Eventually, the museum was reorganized as the Imperial Rail Museum, where the engine rests today in non-operable condition. There were plans to get number 11 in working order for the US Bicentennial in 1976, but nothing ever came it, and the engine has remained cold and silent to this day. (This engine is the oldest surviving BRS loco in existence.) The model and color scheme was inspired by the steam engine from LEGO Toy Story set #7597 "Western Train Chase" (Link to Bricklink: http://www.bricklink...em.asp?S=7597-1 ) Here is the original model from the stock set. I've tried three times to get this engine right (working pistons and can go around curves + switches) and, twice I've failed. Let's hope the third time's the charm! The rear of the locomotive. Here is a better view of the side rods and wheels. The letters BRS go on the sides of the tender while the number 11 should go on the cab sides. One of these goes on the firebox door in the cab (Bricklink link: http://www.bricklink...asp?P=4150pb086 ) Other than that those parts, everything is where it should be. Here are the car's it's going to pull: (As a side note, the chains on the car ends have a glitch and refused to bend. They are supposed to sit on the 1x1 clip plates, and not the handrail / bar itself.) I was inspired by HunterDobbs and his red train cars to build my own versions. I think he got the idea from set 10173, Holiday Train. (link: http://www.bricklink...m.asp?S=10173-1 ) but his red versions look so much better than the plain white originals. I intened on using these with my 4-4-0 steam engine... once I build I get around to building it! (Here is a link to HunterDobbs' Flickr photostream: https://www.flickr.c.../117260213@N02/ ) Here is the train with 4-4-0. I think it looks like a contrast to my dark green 2-6-0 and matching train. Here is the other train for comparison. The LDD file (for the 4-4-0 engine only) is here, if anyone wants it: http://www.mocpages....1428585286m.lxf The LDD file (for the 4-4-0 & it's train) is here, if anyone wants it: http://www.mocpages....1428593703m.lxf Comments, Questions, and complaints are always welcome!

(MOD) Toy Shop and Grocery 31036

Here is my second Modular conversion. This time I started with two 31036 Toy Store and Grocery sets. I decided to just focus on the Toy Store, since the Green Grocer has the groceries covered. Like my Bike Shop and Cafe MOD, I wanted to try to keep the feel of the original. This is also my first attempt at an interior. 2015-03-05 16.45.46 I stole the sign idea from DDoshini... The ground floor is the toy store. A variety of things for sale. The first floor is a little office and storage for more toys. The top floor is a workshop where the owner makes his toys! More photos here...
  5. I'm not into LoC, but as a collector of fantasy monsters I couldn't resist getting Flinx's Ultimate Phoenix (70221). The phoenix in that set is a work of art! That said, it does have a few characteristics I'm not crazy about, so I modded them out. The changes I made are: SNOT'ed the neck SNOT'ed the body where Flinx normally goes SNOT'ed the tail SNOT'ed the wings removed the push-fire play feature, and replaced the blue pins in the talons with black ones. You can see the mods in the picture below apart from the replaced pins. Sorry about the rubbish photography. Any burning questions or comments?
  6. Had a little fun with the 8051 and I really liked the result. Just a few simple mods give it a more aggressive stance and feel like a proper Streetfighter.

  8. I know when Elves were first leaked many hoped it was a Castle theme, well its still possible to convert the Elves into Castle style! Naida's Spa Secret is the only Elves set I've picked up so far, so I did a conversion and created a bit of a story for the Castle version. Here is the main action feature, there was a map hidden in the waterfall, now there is some ill gotten gold. Here is the story. I call this set The Nobleman's Vices. The nobleman goes to relax in his hidden spa in the forest. He is surprised to see a beautiful maiden in his pool, but is quick to try to spin the situation to his advantage. I'll let you guess what's going on here: To his dismay he finds its a setup! The guardsmen have trapped the nobleman in some shady dealings. But there's more, they find his hidden ledger that reveals he's been embezzling from the King. They also uncover the gold hidden in the waterfall as seen earlier. Off to the dungeons!
  9. Here is my version of Crowkillers Muscle Car. Controlled by a SBrick. Powered by 2 PF L engines. The steering of a PF servo motor. Thanks to Paul Boratko for instructions ... Here are some pictures: Thank you for watching.

  11. Hi Folks, I modified the new Mini Cooper into a convertible. Lego Scala Figures fit well to the scale of the model: Mini side by side with VW T1 bus, unfortunately not an exact match of scale: And together with my Eriba Puck camping trailer, the Lego Belville children fit well with the scale:
  12. [MOD] Thor's Helmet So ever since I laid eyes on TLG Hawkman's (DC) new helmet, I knew I wanted to make this MOD / MOC. Build details: • First order of business was to bend / mold the "wings" back as much as possible without causing any irreparable damage. Those familiar with the MCU helmet know the wings do not flare out on the sides, but lay "flatter" to the helmet. • With a bit of trial and error, I got the wings as best as I could manage. I suppose I could have tried to fold back a tiny bit more, but I was getting worried that it was starting to damage the folds (there was a slight bit of visible "whitening" at the joints when I stopped -- no tearing -- these suckers are made of strong stuff -- but nonetheless decided to stop while I was ahead). • Next was to Dremel the face plate to remove the "mask" and then to shave / smooth down the inner sides. This took a bit of "eyeballing", trial and error. It's not 100% symmetrical, but about as good as I'm gonna get. • Finally, a nice coat of metallic Silver paint -- and boom -- done. Final Version: “Whosoever wears this helmet, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor.”

    [MOD] 10227 - UCS B-Wing

As much as I love 10227, there were areas that I felt could have been done much better. Unlike other sets in the UCS line I have seen very few mods, and those that exist have few details. I now feel I have addressed all of my gripes with the model, including a stand that lets me invert the ship, a whole new cockpit and plated S-Foil undersides. Unfortunately I didn't make my album with EB in mind (I'm sorry guys ), so my images are probably too large to embed. All I have for you now is this imgur album and I may add some images to my post later. http://imgur.com/a/uKn5z I'd like to add that I'm not happy having the MF print on the cockpit, and the half cone doesn't come in clear without a print on it! It looks OK, but does anybody know a good way of removing the print? I know many have done so with opaque parts but not trans.
  14. Hello, i want to show my slightly modded version of the fantastic set 42039 b . I changed the wheels, front bumper, roof I also added a seat and replaced them with seats of the crawler. The hood is totally changed using the four remaining fender pieces and i gave it a realistic angle. Then i added leds in the four light clusters. Here are the pics, enjoy and share opinions:-) https://www.dropbox....HCh9OnJQrg4I_ga
  15. hello I have a few month ago set 42006 bought and have gained some ideas to sennebogen on the pictures you can see the changes I 've made.
  16. Hi all I did this mod quite a while back and meant to post it but somehow forgot. After recently having seen images of the new UCS TIE Fighter (which does have the rear viewport) I remembered about this mod of mine. It's nothing special and the model loses even more of it's "roundness" (what little there was to start with) but I was quite happy with it. I tried to use most of the parts in the set but the use of some extra parts was inevitable. If anybody wants to build it, it's a bit wobbly at the start but it's as stable as it was before once it's finished. Here's an LDCad render (sorry, I didn't take any pictures when I had built it) and I've attached an .ldr of the complete cockpit build. Cheers TIE Rear Viewport.ldr
  17. Hi All, Just sharing a modification of the LEGO Bike Shop & Café set. My kid liked the original advanced build of the set but somehow it was a little too cramped even when opened up. We additionally tried the easy and medium builds to see how it felt but somehow it still lacked room to play. So we decided to revisit the whole concept of the Bike Shop & Café and modularize it. The concept of the modification is to merge the Bike shop and Café as one establishment allowing us to make a 2nd floor loft apartment, which meant more space across the board. We reused alot of the interior pieces from the original set which were really nice. We kept it to two floors to keep it relatively small, which gave us an opportunity to make a nice end lot to place with other modulars. Unfortunately we couldn't stick to just the original pieces so we had to use various additional pieces we had, a 32x32 baseplate and alot of 2x2 tiles for the pavement. My kid enjoys it and somehow prefers the removable floors vs the open-up approach. As there's alot more detail in this build and I can't put up too many images you can check it out here. http://www.boxtoy.co...isited-moc.html Hope you guys like it.

    LOTR MOC index

    close topic.
  20. So I wanted to make something more useful from the spaceship part of the Galactic Titan. It has that big open area in the back where it meshes to the tracked portion, so I thought what if I put a crew compartment there. Apologies if something like this has already been done. The idea is that this is now a dropship used for rapid deployment of an elite squad from orbit to the ground. The landing mechanisms have been modified for more vertical descent and a simple adjustable nose gun added. My personal favorite part is this custom label. Lastly here is a cutaway view of the interior loaded up and ready to roll.

[MOD] 70790 Lord of Skull Spiders

Lord of Skull Spiders MOD by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr Hi all! I was kind of bored yesterday, so I decided to have a crack at improving the Lord of Skull Spiders in LDD, constructing the original set using just a parts list and whatever pictures I could find of the set on Eurobricks and BZPower (first time I've actually built a set this complex without instructions), before making a few modifications and improvements. The main modification here is to the legs - here I've added an extra ball joint to each leg for much improved poseability in the real model. The abdomen handle has been filled out a little whilst retaining the function squeeze handle, and exposed balljoints have been put to good use to fill out and shape the model a bit more. The model you see in the picture was rendered using LDD2POV-Ray. Post-processing through Photoshop was applied to add LOSS' face since the chestplate does not accept decoration. For those of you interested in using this for the basis of your own modifications, I provide the LDD file here. A few things to note about the LXF file however: it's missing the rubber band which is vital for the leg function. Wherever I use a black 3M axle (2 instances), this actually is supposed to represent the new 2M axle piece with pin (picture of it here, the piece on the left) which appears in LOSS (but having built a replica of the mechanism myself, a 3M axle would also work in it's place). I'm aware the trans-orange colour is all wrong as trans-neon orange does not appear to be in LDD. And the pose achieved in the render probably isn't possible in real life as the mechanism is set at an almost closed position due to LDD limitations (I couldn't get the knob gears to mesh properly at any angle except right angles!). The design is open to further modification (I intend to add a hook and string to the abdomen to let it hang once I get hold of the set itself), and while building this I realised you can just as easily build a trans-light blue (in place of the trans-neon orange) version so I might upload what that would look like to my Flickr a bit later. Thanks for looking!

    Red's railway V3

So, I'm going to have to dismantle my 3rd attempt at a semi-permanent Lego railway due to it being situated under a building site. Also, I have bought some more appropriate tables which will allow it to bw properly level, and allow me some extra space to extend it and add another loop (on the station side), so now seemed like a good time to photograph it for prosperity. Overview The Rolling Stock I also have a couple of modded HE sets (ie one full TGV), but due to space and it being the most awkward to operate, it's currently sat on my dad's far from complete 00 layout. Sections -The yard and MPD. The Lone Ranger's escape! Substitute Knights and Pirates for Settlers of Catan. Dalek attack on the Bako Signal Box Successful Police sting (or is this too many officers and too much equipment to capture one man who is on foot?). -The bridge and container yard. -Town Center and Station ATM robbery. Station Kiosk. Near miss! The final battle of a crap film... -Angel Park and Firestation. More detailed image of Angel Park. Maintenance on the footbridge. The firestation. Fin

    10197 Fire Brigade Mod

Hi, that's my Mod of 10197 set, i have some problems uploading several photos, so if you'd like to see full gallery in high quality go here https://www.flickr.c...57647423541279/
  24. Hi everyone! It's my first post in this forum, though this build is probably one of the oldest that I have. Basically, it is a rather heavily modified 4x4 from the 2008 Gold Hunt set. I went for larger wheels and added a few bricks at the back as well as a machine gun. I also tried to make the color scheme a bit more serious, which means that I probably used a couple of pieces that don't exist in those colors. Anyway, I hope you like it, comments and critique are also welcome. If you wish to have an .lxf file, you can get it here.
