Winter Cup Cafè

Hi everyone, This year my Christmas village will be super late or, perhaps, it will not even be presented because I do not consider it complete yet; so I show you a small MOC made on a 32 x 32 baseplate. I took inspiration from an image on the internet and I wanted to try to put it in my winter village. Hope you like it Merry Christmast to all Alessio Other images on Flickr Album here: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmSMmiY2
3. Hi everyone I'd like to present my latest MOC, a new modular building called Bricks & Blooms. I hope you like it. Bricks & Blooms is a modular Garden Centre built over 3 levels on a 32 x 32 base plate. in total it uses 2587 bricks. The facade is supposed to give the impression of being 2 buildings side by side but it is of course just one single building. The front to back measurement of the building is quite narrow, similar to Parisian restaurant. This is because I wanted to maintain plenty of space at the rear of the building for the main outside garden centre / plant sale area. THE MINIFIGURES I've included 6 mini figs and a cat with this MOC. Left to right they are: 2 customers (a father and his daughter), The garden centre shop keeper and gardener, the chef and the Aquatics shop assistant. THE GARDEN CENTRE AND GROUND LEVEL DETAILS The main garden centre area of the store is situated on the ground level. Outside on the street, I've included a tree, bench and lots of plants and flowers for sale. The garden centre also has a fruit and veg stall that sells it's produce directly to passers by on the street. Inside the shop I've included the cashier desk and more plants and gardening tools for sale including a little lawn mower side-build. Here is the interior of the fruit and veg stall that is accessed through a door at the back of the cashier desk. A door at the back of the shop leads out in to the main outdoor gardening area. Here I've included a large glass canopy covering rows of tables holding bedding plants. There are also more flowers, pots and other gardening products including a water feature. The stairs at the back of the building lead up to level 2. LEVEL 2 - CAFE/RESTAURANT No garden centre would be complete without its own cafe/restaurant. The cafe on level 2 has a fully equipped kitchen with serving desk and tables and chairs for the minifigs. There is also a small balcony in the cafe that looks out on to the street below. LEVEL 3 - AQUATICS Many garden centres here in the UK also have departments that specialise in pet fish and Aquatics. Bricks & Blooms is no exception and has it's own dedicated Aquatics section on level 3. The Cat below seems to have its eye on the goldfish. The door behind the desk leads out on to a small roof terrace area. FLOWER CART The model also includes a flower cart. THE FINISHED MODEL The picture below shows Bricks & Blooms combined with my other modulars and vehicle MOC's. Left to right they are. The Queen Bricktoria Convenience Store Brick Square Post Office Bricks & Blooms The Old Workhorse - Traction Engine LEGO IDEAS I have submitted Bricks & Blooms as a LEGO Ideas project. If you like the model I'd be really grateful if you'd be kind enough to head over to LEGO Ideas and give the model your votes. You can find the project at the following link. Many thanks! http://bit.ly/bricksblooms I hope you like my newest MOC and thanks very much for reading. As always, there are many more pics on my Flickr page and feel free to leave comments and let me know what you think.

MOC:Teapot Junction

Hello fellow EB members Here I have made a Tearoom which has been converted from a former signal box and railway carriage still moored at the station platform. A flimsy excuse to make a railway carriage which has been on my to do list for quite some time. Tearooms and very popular and common in the UK and you can get more than just tea! Anyway a few pics and the link to flickr; The usual link to flickr: here Enjoy!

[MOC] BRICK SQUARE POST OFFICE

Hi everyone I'd like to present my latest MOC, and the follow up to my previous Modular, "The Queen Bricktoria Pub". This time I've designed another British style building, a Post Office, set some time during the late 1950's. There is much more to it than just a Post Office though. Read on to find out more... As you can see this modular building has 3 floors and is built on a 32 x 32 base plate. I have designed it to appear as 2 separate buildings situated around a small town square. The post office is intended to be the main focus of the model but the building on the right also contains a fish & chip shop and other businesses. The Minifigures I've included 6 minifigs with this MOC. From left to right they are: Post Office Worker, Post Office Manager, The Postman, Chip Shop Owner, Cafe Barista and a Business man. Brick Square and Ground Level Details Both the buildings are arranged around "Brick Square". I've included a small flowering tree in the centre of the square and outside the post office there is a pillar box, bench, rubbish bin and flower pots. Outside the fish and chip shop is a table with parasol. The Pillar box is a simple build made up from 2x2 round bricks, plates and tiles, stacked up and held together with a technic axle running through the middle. The shaped slot section towards the top is made from a red wheel flipped on its side. Sandwiched between both buildings is a shared stairwell which can be accessed from the street. This is how the minifigs access the upper floors. The Post Office The pictures below show the interior of the post office. Mail Sorting Office On the floor above the post office is the room where all the mail gets sorted, ready to be sent out. This room is accessed via the stair well outside the post office. Fish & Chip Shop Another iconic British building - a fish and Chip Shop. The shop sells chips, battered fish, burgers, sausages and drinks. Coffee Shop Above the Fish & Ship Shop is a little cafe with a coffee machine, cake stand, table and seat. In the corner of the cafe is a stair case leading up to the top floor. Office Above the cafe is an office used by a local businessman. I've included a desk with drawers, telephone and paperwork. There is also a grandfather clock and plant pots. Mail Van I have also included a vehicle with this MOC, a vintage style Mail van. The Finished Model Here is a shot of the Brick Square Post Office, alongside my other modulars, The Queen Bricktoria and Convenience Store. If you'd like to read more about these other MOCs then follow the links below. Convenience Store Queen Bricktoria Thanks very much for reading. If you'd like to see more pictures of the Brick Square Post Office then head across to my Flickr page, I've added over 60 pictures of it there. I hope you like my latest MOC, feel free to leave comments and let me know what you think. EDIT: Building instructions for this MOC are now available from Rebrickable at the following link https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-22101/Bricked1980/brick-square-post-office/#comments

MOC - Winter Pub & Cafè

Hello everyone, today I want to present my last building constructed: The Winter Pub & Cafe. It is a new building that will be part of my new diorama Winter Village 2015 that will be presented for the first time at the fair in Lecco 1 and 2 August. I wanted to put a lot of internal details even if the interior space was very small. The interior is very comfortable as it should be in a pub. There is the bar, the coffee maker, the tapster pumping beer directly from bins placed in the foreground. There are some strange customers sitting at the tables, bottles and glasses, paintings, lamps, the crackling, the clock, a carpet. A staircase leads upstairs where there is a small bedroom that serves the manager when he wants to relax after a hard day's work. The interior of the building are clearly visible, but to make them even more visible the entire roof is detachable dividing into three parts. The insignia front was made with photoshop, printed in color and then glued. I hope you like it! See you next time Sandro More images: The complete gallery on Flickr: https://www.flickr.c...157654202144468

[MOC] Prater Ferris Wheel

Hi all,We're back again to show you another old MOC, the Prater Ferris Wheel. The ferris wheel is built on the mechanism of the #4957 LEGO set and the style is that of the Prater in Wien, while the café and the park are invented. The work consists of about 8000 LEGO bricks (80 minifigures included). You can notice plenty of details, including people taking a selfie, fallen leaves, frightened people escaping from the park, jogging guys, pretty girls, elegant couples waiting for their high-class wagon, men at work, plants, bike raks and so on. Here are some photos; you can find more on our Flickr profile. Thanks for visiting! FBros

31026 Bike Shop & Cafe reimagined

When this set was on Black Friday sales a few years ago a lot of people created their own modular versions of these sets. So here are mine... I decided to do a cafe, of course, and a florist instead of a bike shop. One of the alternate buildings in the instructions was something resembling a florist, so I thought I'd go another way instead of another bike shop. The first picture is both of them together. 31026 Bike Shop & Cafe reimagined by TheLegoDr, on Flickr The next picture is of just the cafe. I really liked the dark red and black color scheme since it is not seen too often. The yellow awning really pops against those colors. 31026 Bike Shop & Cafe reimagined by TheLegoDr, on Flickr Next is a different angle. 31026 Bike Shop & Cafe reimagined by TheLegoDr, on Flickr And the rear. Overall pretty plain, but no one sees it. 31026 Bike Shop & Cafe reimagined by TheLegoDr, on Flickr Next we have the flower shop. I liked the medium blue and tan contrast. The tree out front adds a bit of foliage. 31026 Bike Shop & Cafe reimagined by TheLegoDr, on Flickr Side profile 31026 Bike Shop & Cafe reimagined by TheLegoDr, on Flickr And rear. This reveals the greenhouse. 31026 Bike Shop & Cafe reimagined by TheLegoDr, on Flickr Please let me know what you think. I had fun adding my own spin on this set.

MOC - Café Shop

For many years I've been a fan of doozy models and have a bunch of them pinned on my Pinterest account! And finally I was able to build one of them: the little charming European Café Shop! Managed to put a lot of details and tried a few techniques that I had in mind for a while but also some new stuff! What’s your favourite detail? Mine is definitely the small chair and the lamps! Thanks for the millionth time to Markus for all the hints and suggestions! Hope you guys like it Café shop
11. Hey everyone, Like many LEGO fans around the world, I've built some MOCs too for the Rebrick Mini Building Madness contest, not only because I saw the awesome prize package, but I realized that I've never built a model in this scale and I thought it would be fun. Well, yes, it was so much fun, and it was quite challenging at some points, so I think now could share my mini modulars with you. :) Grand Hotel Every LEGO city needs a hotel, where the tourists and guests can enjoy their spare time. This is actually my first ever mini modular and I really enjoyed building it. The most challenging part of it was to connect the different sections/floors. You can see all building techniques that I've used on the last image below. I built some bits of the ground floor and 1st floor using SNOT techniques and the roof is actually completely built upside down. Erling's Café This is my 2nd and unfortunately last entry to this contest. I think this was my most challenging MOC ever, but I enjoyed every moment of it! :) Erling's Café? Yes. I've used many 1x1 headlight bricks (also known as Erling Brick after its designer) in my model, so I thought it would be a cool name for it. Oh, have you noticed the custom sticker? The inspiration for that came from the coffee shop (Assembly Square set). I've tweaked the brick built logo a little bit and made my own version. :) (Psssst, have you noticed the custom sticker?! ;) ) Not sure if I can post links here, but you can find more images of these mini modulars on Flickr.
12. More photos you can see on the page of this modular project: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/152944 I want to present you my new project "Modular pedestrian street". I really like the modular buildings, which makes LEGO company. Each new official LEGO modular building is not similar to the previous one. Each new set is an interesting building, which occupies a large part of the standard base plate 32*32. Pedestrians, in turn, have to huddle on a narrow strip of sidewalk. In such a small space it is difficult to create something interesting from the life of minifigures. I want to propose to build a long pedestrian street which there is in every city. The most interesting is always happening on a pedestrian streets: street performers, musicians, artists, street cafes with the cheerful companies and so on. My project is fully compatible with the official Lego modular buildings. If you make several similar sets, you can create a long pedestrian street where you will be able to create all sorts of interesting stories and situation with your minifigures. This is a very exciting and interesting! My project is the begin of walking street. In the buildings there are a jewelry store with a jeweler's office, a hostel, a souvenir shop and a small cafe. I think the pictures will tell you about my project more than I can write.

MOC: Modular corner building

Dear friends! I'm glad to present you my modular building project. My project includes the casino building and little abandoned building. Unfortunately I can't upload to this topic more than one image. I can't understand why. So I suggest you look at the other images on the page of the project on the lego ideas website. More photos you can see there: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/145201 But don't forget to click support!;) Enjoy!

Space Police III layout

Hi everyone, I have finished my Space Police III layout last weekend. The built started during the holidays (Christmas) and after a few months and a few bricklink orders it is finally finished. When I took some pictures, I used a black cloth to erase the cluttered background. The layout contains an old hangar from the M-Tron. Now it is used by the Black Hole Gang for criminal activities. The Space Police is invading the hangar during a arms deal between the Black Hole Gang and Blacktron Future Generation. In the layout there is a police station. In the police station is a meeting with Space Police from other systems (S.P. I & II) and with the Unitron to discuss the presence of the Blacktron II on the planet. Across the street there is a cafe. In the Cafe is a band playing. The layout contains several vehicles and references to other themes. Here is an overview of the layout. Here is another view at the overpass and landing platform. Here is the link to the flickr album. For more pictures of the vehicles, hangar and cafe. Feedback and questions are welcome. Thank you for watching. Sander

MOC: Paradisa Cafe

Hello everyone, I was Inspired by a couple of sets I had when I was a child - Breezeway Cafe - 6376 and Sand Dollar Cafe - 6411. The colour combinations used were cheerful and I always wished I had bricks using the colours of the Sand dollar baseplate in particular! Thanks to the 'friends' theme for bringing more choice of bricks in lighter colours I can create something I've had in mind for sometime now. The main part I wanted to use was the large curved window pieces which I purchased a while back. The ground floor houses a bicycle and surf board rental shop and the Paradisa cafe bar area, the upstairs lifts off in one piece and has more seating for a great sea view! No parrots included, although I have added the much loved seagull, a splash of pink and the usual palm-tree. I would have loved to have done a fully rendered background in the style of Paradisa but don't have the know how so I've simply used a couple of the typical colours. On with the 3 and only 3 pics (Hopefully Santa will bring me a new Camera!) You can view them on my flickr page here https://www.flickr.c...s/52656812@N04/ Any comments of feedback welcome! Best wishes for winter! Bring on summer

[MOC] 50's Style American Diner

I built this little diner to fit into my Modular town. It occupies a single base plate and can serve as an end cap to a row of buildings, but has facades on three sides. To date, this is one of my favorite builds. A little close-up of the marquee: Ground level view of the restaurant: A little profile shot: And then the top came off! Plenty of seating inside: Hamburger, fries, milkshake, or a fresh slice of pie today? The staff is always friendly and helpful. There's always a hoppin' tune playing on the jukebox. Situated in a busy area of town: Thanks for looking! You can see additional pictures (with more details) in my Flickr gallery!

MOC: Twelve Mile Reef Cafe

Twelve Mile Reef Cafe I had this idea of a floating, run down Cafe built from recycled Military containers that offered bad food at terrible prices and here's the result. It's my Twelve Mile Reef Cafe. The Cafe is crewed by a motley bunch of lowlifes who live in the floating quarters. (this was inspired by a 1960's British Caravan). The front end of the caravan is built upside down and held in place by bricks with clips/handles. Here's details of the logo. I'd actually run out of yellow 1x1 plates at this point and picked up a 1x1 with clip as a temporary fix. Then I added the frying pan. I like it and I think it works well. Both the roof and the walls are easily detachable. Here's the Galley kitchen and storage area. I'd run out of 1x1 DrkTan tiles so I used a 1x1 stud to cover the hole. Then I used a Cookie to cover the stud. It seems like a lot of effort to make it look right, but I think the real message here is not to eat the Cookies. Here's the Dining area and Bathroom. It appears the last customer left without even eating his hamburger. I can't blame him. One final shot. Thanks for reading. Comments, criticism and ridicule most welcome!
19. Please support me on Lego Ideas! Based on the super popular How It Should Have Ended videos, The Super Hero Cafe is the perfect place for super heroes to grab a cup of coffee and talk about their latest movies. Batman and Superman seem to be permanent fixtures at the cafe, but there is an extra set for a guest super hero. Today Nick Fury has dropped by to explain his obsession with fire extinguishers. I have lots of Super Hero minifigs, but this is one of the first MOCs I've done with them. I hope you like it.
20. Previously I made a MOC modular building, a bank, which has a piece of land on its side waiting for construction. It was to be a restaurant and finally it is done! It is not a big one as it only takes half of the 32x32 plate, but it contains what all the Lego citizens' needs for food! This building is a break from the typical European style that prevails in the original Lego modular building sets. I think a city should be developing, advancing, and things change including building styles. I tried some new elements here, with a more open façade (basically removing the façade for balconies and setting back the entrance), while taking a cleaner approach on detailing. Quick overview with the bank on its side: Let's go inside now! The entrance on the G/F floor is set back a little for a bar area. This is where people gather at night especially on Fridays! I also try sliding doors for the entrance :) At the entrance, you will see a little fridge next to a green counter. On the other side is a cake rack. In the morning, there will be breads for those who want to grab a quick breakfast. 1/F is a restaurant. Utensils are stored neatly. Someone is celebrating her birthday with friends! Well that's a huge cake! The other half of 1/F is a balcony area for semi-open dining experience. Looks like someone is not pleased when serving a rich man... "Hey that's not the tips I am hoping for..." The top floor is also a restaurant area, with an open grill kitchen. Look at the hood! Now an overview with some of my modular buildings, which are easy to recognize. The building style is a little different but still, to me, harmonious with the others. Hope you all like this creation! Let me know if you have any comment on how I can improve this!
21. A little urban renewal to transition the Detective Office part of town with the more classy modulars... my latest modular is "Chop", a small Asian fusion bistro in an Art Deco storefront. Oddly enough, I've wanted to use fish as an architectural element for a long time. 1st floor interior: Decorative wall panels. 2nd and 3rd floor feature a nice but somewhat cramped 2 bedroom aparment. Next to a couple of my other mocs. Thanks for looking! (Sorry the photography isn't great.)

Hi All, It's been awhile i wish to MOC one modular cafe out from Lego bricks. At the end, i choose to moc a famous cafe chain, Starbucks cafe. MOC: Avenue Saint-Jacques

Hi everyone. This is my latest build named Avenue Saint-Jacques. It is a Haussmann styled building which are found in central Paris in abundance. I have wanted to do a 'Cafe corner' in a grand scale for a long time! It's not a build based on any real building that I know of. Most of these buildings have diagonal corners which I could not perfect to the point of being happy with. Also typically most buildings are seven stories high, this is only 6 as I ran out of bricks! Its about 76cm to the top of the chimneys. Part of the reason it is not a typical modular which I have done before was the fact I wanted to make an 'Art Nouveau' style Metro station and had to raise the street level to make steps down to the platform and also since it is an avenue the pavement had to be wider. In all its taken a couple of months to complete. The most difficult part of the build was incorporating the hinge into the side of the building for easier access to the apartments. I probably have not accurately portrayed the interior details and fittings so most of it is made up! I felt the building would have been quite sad without any interior details. On the ground floor there is a Cafe with street facing kiosk for pastries on the go, a clothes shop selling fine ladies wear and finally the Metro station entrance. The first floor has an office and a dental surgery. The four upper floors have apartments, with a top floor penthouse with a full balcony. Some apartments have kitchens and bathrooms which I have tried to get decent photo's to see the details. A central staircase allows access to all the rooms. The whole scene is based sometime in the past, not quite sure when but before the comforts of technology! I have added several exterior and interior pics for now. All others can be found at the link at the bottom of the post. There are 22 rooms in all. More photo's can be found on my flick here: http://www.flickr.co...s/52656812@N04/ All thoughts welcome!

My collection of city MOCs

Hi everyone. Looking at all these amazing MOCs here at Eurobricks i decided to share my own. This is a collection of city MOCs that i designed over the past few years. All of these models are made in Lego Digital Designer, and are presented with pictures rendered using POV-Ray. I didn't make a lot of pictures as i'm sharing LDD files in which the models can be viewed entirely. Most of the buildings have roofs built in separate sections that can be removed (using "connected selection" tool) to see the interiors. Also note that because of the high brick count, that some of this models have, slower computers might have problems with opening those files. That's it for the introduction.. I hope to insipre people with my work just like i get inspired by others.
