  1. The Stone Protector Leader and the Okoto Dragon by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr Hello all! May I share with you my latest Bionicle based MOC. I have wanted to build a huge CCBS dragon for a long while, but never really got around to it until recently, when I looked at my large pile of unused craft faux leather and thinking that they'd make good dragon wings on a LEGO model. So this is what resulted! You might notice that I did take Bullion, the steed from my BFTGM entry, and used him as a base for what I am calling "The Okoto Dragon" (yes, very unoriginal name I know!) The Stone Protector Leader by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr First of all, a look at the Stone Protector Leader, which I built while building the dragon, and acts as a steed to the giant Rahi. Credit to Rayskull for the alternate build used in this little guy's construction. And now for the Okoto Dragon itself: The Okoto Dragon by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr Front view: The Okoto Dragon by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr Side view: The Okoto Dragon by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr Rear view: The Okoto Dragon by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr Top view, showing the wings fully extended: The Okoto Dragon by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr The Okoto dragon can rear up on it's hind legs, though it is extremely difficult since it is extremely heavy. The Okoto Dragon by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr The Stone Protector Leader (and other Protectors of course) can be mounted cofortably on the Okoto Dragon, as shown here: The Stone Protector Leader and the Okoto Dragon by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr And a bonus "face-off" shot between Protector and Rahi... The Stone Protector Leader and the Okoto Dragon by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr That's it for now. Positive and constructive comments appreciated, as long as you don't mention the keetorange (I didn't have much choice there, I wanted to use the flame pieces above the eyes, and kind of had to include more elements of the colour in the build, since until Skull Grinder comes along, they only come in keetorange). Also, please ignore the pole reverser handles on the wings, I forgot to replace them with bushings until halfway through the photoshoot. Any other odd colours present is likely because I run out of the colour I wanted to use

    [MOC] The End Vignette

Hey everyone! This is my first MOC post on EB, hope the community likes it! I only have one picture at the moment of it, due to problems taking photos a different part of the vignette. This is meant to be a small little part of the zone in Minecraft, known as "The End". It hosts (as you'd guess) the optional end game. The final battle is an Ender Dragon, who is accompanied by Endermen. But do enjoy! The End Vignette by The Nightingale, on Flickr C&C welcome!

    Gravensteen Castle

This was my entry to the large miscellaneous category, of the CCCXII, over on Classic-Castle: The keep's interior: Lots more pictures here All C&C appreciated
  4. Ancient legends speak of giant flying beasts that came from the skies... This model is a forebody of a Renaissance class exploration spaceship. This model was supposed to be the first part of a much larger spaceship. My idea was to show how advanced technology transforms into new reality, and artificial creations become new nature. I used the citation of the Clarke's third law to refer to the hypothesis that humanity cannot find traces of activity of advanced extraterrestrial civilizations because they are indistinguishable from natural cosmic phenomena. I also wanted to connect this with an ufological theory that aliens were visiting Earth in the past and this was reflected in mythology. Here are the blueprints with different views of the ship's forebody, its dimensions and a list of its key components (click to open the picture in higher resolution): Additional views of the model: The ship is approaching a new planet for research... Additional photos can be found on Flickr.

    Fire Breathing Armored Dragon

Here is our armored lego dragon. He is our final entry for our current Iron Builder which is centered around the metallic ribbed hose. We also used the ribbed hosing to go all the way through his body so we could hook him up to a propane torch! :D Here's a Video link to see him in action :) Thanks for stopping by!
  6. Hey guys, This build was just a redo of a castle set i wish i had when i was a kid. A friend told me to enter it into CCCXII so I did but it didn't really fit in to any categories so I entered it into miscellaneous - large. This would have been good in last years categories, as there was a category for a redo of and old set with new parts. But whatever I'm very happy with this build. (also the gate at the front can be raised and lowered by the chains attached and in the middle of the castle there is a trap door that falls down to imprison unwanted intruders) Enjoy guys and let me know what you think! Taming a Beast

For a Mitgardian Ranger, the taming of a dragon is a key coming-of-age and initiation ritual. The chosen dragon, who was assigned when the ranger was born, is starved for two weeks, then released into the wild. The ranger must then track and find the enraged dragon. The defining moment of the Dragon Trial is the actual taming of the beast. The Ranger must approach the dragon weaponless, and be judged by the dragon. If the dragon deems the ranger worthy, then the ranger has found a lifelong companion. If not... Well the dragon was REALLY hungry... Here Sir Infernum can be seen following in the footsteps of his brother, the head ranger, and taming a Snowvenom dragon. So this is a freebuild I made a while ago. Not much else too say! Thanks for looking!

I built this MOC for display in a local Lego store (our LUG members take turns displaying a MOC every month).
  9. "He gazed for what seemed an age, before drawn almost against his will, he stole from the shadow of the doorway, across the floor to the nearest edge of the mounds of treasure. Above him the sleeping dragon lay, a dire menace even in his sleep. He grasped a great two-handled cup, as heavy as he could carry, and cast one fearful eye upwards. Smaug stirred a wing, opened a claw, the rumble of his snoring changed its note... Thieves! Fire! Murder! Such a thing had not happened since first he came to the Mountain! His rage passes description - the sort of rage that is only seen when rich folk that have more than they can enjoy suddenly lose something that they have long had but have never before used or wanted. His fire belched forth, the hall smoked, he shook the mountain-roots." ~ J.R.R Tolkien, The Hobbit Here's my entry for the MEC category C. The Lord of the Rings brought me out of my dark ages so I had to get at least one build up for this contest...Now lets see if I can get something built for the other two categories before the deadline . A few more pictures below, and still a few more on flickr.

    [MOC] Siege of the Citadel

The great siege has begun. Hordes crash upon the Citadel's mighty walls, its defenders holding invaders at bay. At first the fighting is even, the defenders even slaying one of the serpentine beasts sent forth and felling a siege tower that was brought upon. However as the days progress, battle wear is beginning to take its toll upon the Citadel's brave defenders. When does the Emperor and his allies come to aid? The gates won't hold much longer, making the tower and the keep the last stand for the defenders of the Citadel.....

    [MOC] Dragon King's Rally

Standing atop his fortified tower, the wielder of the Crown of Fire, has summoned his mammoth army to a single purpose: destroy the Emperor's Citadel. Uruk Hai bred for combat, mercenaries donning black armor and red eyes infused by the Dragon King's warlocks magic, filthy trolls from the farthest reaches of the Wild Lands, serpentine beasts yoked under the magic spells of the warlocks, and the wild men loyal to the Dragon King. Bearing the crowns of the conquered kings as battle standards, they will stop at nothing until the Citadel is but shadows and dust. 12. Just as the title says, would you like the vikings back? If yes, in what form? Like the last time with horned helmets and dragons and catapults? Or more realistic? I want them to be more realistic, with different helmets, different shield designs, of course the viking long ship, maybe a long house. And of course a lot of vikings, viking woman, kids, and more historical accurate stuff. I also don't mind the vikings comeback with the dragons and snakes and wolves, as long as they return! I love vikings! What is your opinion?

    Dragon Creature Armor

When I saw a thread a couple weeks ago about making armor for fantasy era trolls, I thought I had to try and make something for contemporary dragons. Leaving aside the fact that dragons have natural armor... It was different build from what I'm used to, fun but very fiddly. My technique was basically: use a ton of hinges. I do like how the radar / solar dish panels worked out.

    The Gold Mine

At a gold mine in Gorr, peril strikes! A lesser Guylinea dragon is attacking this gold mine. Luckily, another famous dragon-slayer is there to save the day. (Because the pictures with my sigifg in them turned out terrible ) Well... to sorta save the day. I tried to make this a (fairly) realistic gold mine. From the mine-shafts further up the mountain, workers shovel the loose rock and ore into this chute. It slides into a barrel waiting below. The barrel is on a swivel, and pours the mixture into the spring below. The fast-moving water washes away the dirt and rocks, but the gold stays in the streambed. Workers strain out the filtered gold using a greased sheepskin. Yay history! (Yeah, I could have posed the miner better, but this was basically a last-second addition when I couldn't find a gold pan ) This waterwheel powers a set of bellows in the base of the tower, making the forge hot enough to purify the gold. Finally, the gold is shipped out to the major cities of Kaliphlin. The cave, with a stream flowing out of it. My apologies for the lack of water pieces inside, as well as for the un-pressed-down gaps in the rocks. The landscaping. Why is there a random wall of bricks there? Oooohhh yeeahhh. , baby(If you know how to embed videos here, kindly enlighten me ) UoP Credits: +1 Tree technique +1 Studs up rocks and cliffs +1 Manufacturing +1 Flowing Water Thanks for viewing!

Waiting impatiently nearby is the seventh member of their party, a dark-garbed teenager who glares at the party as they approach. "...why you were training them in the first place?" "Dragonlourd, you of all personnes zhould know why I can non trust--" "Heroes. Running behind as usual, I see." The Dragonlord is the first to look up, but unlike the girl he smiles, a boisterous grin spreading across his face as he sights the Heroes. "Heroes! Good to see some fresh blood in the organization--though of course, a couple of you have done some good work for us already." Dragonlord nods in acknowledgement of Siercon and Kiray, though Count Shadeaux merely frowns more deeply than he already was. "Are you all ready for this adventure?" "Mon Dieu, Dragonlord, you speak like zis is un plaisir voyage and non an imminente catastrophe!" What will the party do? QM Note: Welcome to the Quest, 104ers! Hope you're excited as I am! Please check to make sure your stats are correct, and if you make any marketplace posts, I'll be sure to update these. You have 24 hours to confrim. Siercon, some of your stats were off; if you've used any consumables that permanently altered your stats, could you please link me to them? Also, since you are only Level 6, you can only have one Artifact equipped at a time; I've left the Robe of the Magi since that was what you already had equipped. Daeth and The Chosen Minifigure, you had both included your images as attachments rather than as image links from other sites. I have taken the liberty of uploading them to my Photobucket account (and in the case of Warlen and Quarion resizing them to normal size), you can now use them in the future by typing the following: Warlen: [img=http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii33/poochythegenius/Avatar%20uploads/Warlen_ava.png] Quarion: [img=http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii33/poochythegenius/Avatar%20uploads/Quarion_ava.png] Daeth: [img=http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii33/poochythegenius/Avatar%20uploads/YujiDaethAva.png]

    Mount Up! Frost Dragon

Stormbringer inspired this build and I borrowed a lot of his techniques. I'm pretty happy with how this guy turned out. Frost dragons are somewhat common in the northern sections of Mitgardia, but they're rarely tamed. They can breath ice and like most dragons, they continue to grow all of their lives. Those brave, or foolhardy, enough to try and train the dragons gain great respect if they are successful. The cost of failure, however, is death. A Frost Dragon is a terrifying beast to come across, as these Black Spire troops have found out. C&C welcome
  17. The Snowvenom Dragon is a mid sized winged dragon, of the Reptilim family. These large beasts are highly dangerous. Covered in venom filled spikes, these dragons are known for their razor sharp teeth, paralysis inducing claws, and a deadly stinger (located on the end of the tail). The Snowvemon Dragon, however, is a noble beast at heart. Some men of valor can tame the beast, but only if they are able to overcome the Dragon's steely will and prove themselves worthy. Mitgardian Rangers are known to raise and tame the Snowvenom Dragons. Here Sir Infernum's older brother, Rorark, is seen on the back of his dragon, who has been equipped with a saddle and razor sharp spears for battle. Yup, here's mah dragon! He's my entry to the Mount-up! challenge. He uses tons of Mixels joints, and is super posable! I also really love his color scheme. Hope you like it!

    Mount Up! The Lesser Rustwing

In some of the more heavily forested areas of Avalonia, there is a breed of mid sized dragon known as the Lesser Rustwing. Their relatively small size allows them to agilely navigate the trees of their habitat. Over time, the elves have learned to domesticate these mighty beasts, and to use them for transportation when horses would be too slow, as well as beasts of war.

    The Vicious Vipren

The Vicious Vipren is a large dragon found throughout northern Mitgardia. It lives high in the mountains, ambushing its prey on small paths. These dragons are often the target of mountain orc raiding parties from Nocturnus. The mountain orcs are able to capture and train the dragons, then bring them back to their homes in Nocturnus. The dragon and its orc master. No figs. Just the Vipren. Hope you like this build! More pics here (when public: http://upload.bricks...ry.cgi?f=545056 ) Thanks for looking!
  22. This MOC was built by my 12 year old brother. He's very happy with how this build turned out, there are full interiors in the buildings too. The dragon that Kendrick and Basil had heard about was ravaging the countryside. Targeting no specific kingdom his attacks were feared by all: More pictures can be seen here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=543185 He would appreciate any C&C

    [MOC] Dark Dragon

Hello there! I've had this MOC for quite a while now, but I recently rediscovered it so I thought I'd photograph it again and share it here. I believe this should be the right forum for it, but without further ado, I'd like to introduce my Dark Dragon: LEGO Dark Dragon - Facial close-up by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr I think this started out as an attempt at a minifigure scale Smaug from the Hobbit movies, but then I saw the Smaug from the movie "The Desolation of Smaug" and it looked nothing like the model I had made, so I renamed the MOC, maybe rather unimaginatively, "Dark Dragon". LEGO Dark Dragon - Whole body shot, wings collapsed by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr LEGO Dark Dragon - Whole body shot, wings open by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr LEGO Dark Dragon - Whole body shot, posed by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr Here's some quick stats about the model: It's about 1,600 pieces, measures about 70 studs long stretched out with a wingspan of around 60 or so studs. It also weighs about 1.5 kilograms, hence the need for the clear support stands as the legs alone can't support it's weight. You could say I sacrificed stability for poseability in that case. Some more (albeit not as good) photos which I took back in November last year can be found here: https://flic.kr/s/aHsjMPNBDV Well, I hope you enjoyed this MOC. Comments and constructive feedback appreciated

    [GNAR] Ormr hinn víðfǫrli

This is the Mitgardian longship "Ormr hinn víðfǫrli" (The Far-Travelling Serpent). It is owned by Sigólfr Brímabani (at the steering oar) of the Wyrm Clan. Because of the current unrest, they built this ship to be able to defend Mitgardia from attackers. Sigólfs best warriors are at the oars. Their names are Gunnarr, Óláfr, Friðþjófr, Þórólfr, Egill, Þórsteinn, Úlfr, Stýrbjǫrn, Snorri, Starkaðr, Kári, Bjólfr, Ragnarr and Ívarr. In the bow they store water, beer, fermented herring, crisp bread, fermented and soured milk, dried meat and other delicious food that you need when you go viking. They also keep the spears in the bow, but midships they have swords and axes. In the stern is an idol of a god of water and journeys at sea. (Technically this is no longship, since its width/length ratio is ca. 1:4.5, which makes it a Karfi (which wasn't a ship of war). But I didn't have more of the prefab hull pieces so I couldn't make it any longer. A real longship should be at least 1:6 and have some 30+ oarsmen.)
