  1. Given the lack of a Castle advent calendar for this year, I thought I'd make my own. It is constructed of 4 vignettes with 6 mini builds each. I tried to keep the part count reasonably similar to a real advent calendar. Nothing too fancy here but I hope you enjoy.
  2. My goal was to create a folding building with detailed interior. Ultimately I ended up putting a hinged roof on as well so there are two ways to access the interior. Making everything come together at the joint was a fun challenge. I envision this hall as a structure inside a much larger castle.
  3. I'm going to post several smaller MOCs together in this thread to avoid cluttering the forum. If you click through the image you should be able to see larger versions and more pics at my imgur album. First, this is my first attempt at a battle scene. The scenery of the small falls, stream, stream banks etc is a bit simple but it is 95% from one trip to a pick a brick wall. The wizard works his dark magic on one of the crownie knights. Next I have some modular additions to the King's Castle. First is a blacksmith. I took the black somewhat literally in the color of the walls, it sticks out a bit but I think it makes the smith look like a specially built more industrial part of the castle. I thought the guards could use a spot to relax up on the walls. Extending that idea, the next modular section is a mess hall. The last MOC is a barracks and training ground for the Lions / Crownies. This is my first attempt at a substantial tree.

    Dragon Creature Armor

When I saw a thread a couple weeks ago about making armor for fantasy era trolls, I thought I had to try and make something for contemporary dragons. Leaving aside the fact that dragons have natural armor... It was different build from what I'm used to, fun but very fiddly. My technique was basically: use a ton of hinges. I do like how the radar / solar dish panels worked out.
  5. Although I really like the Dragon Mountain set, I wasn't crazy about the open access from the front to the chamber on the left side, so I modded it. I built up the front but didn't want to block access completely, so I turned it into a secret entrance/exit. Apologies for the poor picture quality. My camera is a bit rubbish.
