    [MOC] Last guard

In the Kaleem Zam'qnar lands the Guards more and more often encountered 2 or 3 man Blood Orcs scouting groups. Usually they eliminated them quickly. However their appearance caused anxiety. The orcs have not been seen here for over 100 years. At the Watchtower on far, far east of the Kaleem Zam'qnar lands we can see a drama. The group of redskins is much bigger than the previous ones. And the Guardian is all alone there... Read more » Bigger photos and full story here: LEGO Gallery - [MOC] Last guard WIPs, Behind the scenes and other extras at my: Instagram | Facebook | Flickr
  2. While preparing the next exhibition, I am building some small modules to place along my Star Wars 12V train layout. Those modules will be integrated into larger layouts. So first, find a couple of small Twin Laser Turrets, that are very effective against flying speeders or fighters. Twin Laser Turrets by Veynom, on Flickr Turrets can rotate and laser can elevate. Part of the design is directly inspired from one of the recent battle packs. Twin Laser Turrets by Veynom, on Flickr Next comes a watchtower made in collaboration with my 11-year son. He had the original idea and first design. I mainly added some details and industrialized the built so that we could build 2 of them. The Watchtower by Veynom, on Flickr Rear view with the ladder: The Watchtower by Veynom, on Flickr Tower top with mounted blaster and light projector. Watching the area by Veynom, on Flickr Those modules are easy to duplicate, relocate and provide a nice immersive feeling to large layout. Comments welcome.

    Watchtower of Eolas

In times of need, the watchtowers of Eolas are manned to protect and give spirit to the nearby villages. I was having a look down my stream and I realized I had only made one round tower. So feeling that it was compulsory to have a go at another I came up with this. I think the result was much better than I had planned and the landscape was a bit of an experiment but I am really happy with the end look. Flowers and vines make things look pretty Hope you enjoy and C&C needed.
  4. Here's my build for the second Archery phase. I continued experimenting with cross braces, and took inspiration for the tower’s gables from Brickvader. As the spring weather causes the snow to thaw, archery drills continue at the range. You can see more pictures here. C&C welcome

    Benoic Watchtower

Thanks to de Gothia for letting me place this watchtower in Benoic. Having recently acquired quite a few dark green plates, I wanted to try a landscape in that color and chose to put a small tower/cottage combo on it. There is a full interior, though because of the small size the furnishings are fairly frugal. Both doors are functional as well. The corner stonework was inspired by Dwalin Forkbeard, the cottage was inspired by Legopard, the ‘gear’ mushrooms were borrowed from Captain Flint, and the tower windows were inspired by Gideon. Benoic has many stone watchtowers within its lands to provide warning in case of attack, and also as bastions of defense. This particular tower also has a small cottage to serve as living quarters for the soldiers stationed there. More pictures can be seen on brickbuilt. Thanks for looking, your comments and suggestions are always appreciated
  6. The stonework technique is made using half stud offsets, see a tutorial here. Check out more info on the Blitzard 2.0 The Elken tribe has been building strong stone watchtowers to fortify their lands against their polar bear neighbors: See more pictures here: link Thanks for looking

    Mitgardian Lookout Post

An entry into the Castle Goes to Space contest on classic-castle. Check it out here: link, I chose to redesign the set 6899, Nebula Outpost, into a castle watchtower. Credit for the ballista design goes to Jacob Nion Small wooden watchtowers are often found slightly outside of Mitgardian villages and towns, situated on a high point in the landscape to give early warning of any sort of threat: Set it's based off of: Thanks for looking, I plan on focusing more on GoH builds in the next few months
  8. This is my build for Tower Phase 2 in Age of Mitgardia. Battles occured throughout the North, as the Algus continued their relentless push into Mitgardia. A Nordheim watchtower had spotted a group of Algus for the village itself, and what warriors the town had left were quickly gathered to try and hold off the icy foes. The men were led by Anar, a veteran warrior famous for his dragon forged spear. Much to the men's relief, the Algus didn't seem capable of freezing the Mitgardians as they charged into battle: In fact, Anar even managed to slay one of the fearsome beasts: Upon which the other Algus made an organized retreat This gave the warriors new hope, as it seemed that the Algus weren't invincible after all. I tried a new wooden wall design utilizing sideways plates and tiles to give a planking effect. And credit for the roof design goes to Siercon and Coral.
  9. This MOC was built by my 12 year old brother. He's very happy with how this build turned out, there are full interiors in the buildings too. The dragon that Kendrick and Basil had heard about was ravaging the countryside. Targeting no specific kingdom his attacks were feared by all: More pictures can be seen here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=543185 He would appreciate any C&C

    AoM Tower phase2: Ziphion

Ziphion is protector of the southern borders. She has build several of these fierce towers. She may be a lady, but she knows how to build one of the finest watchtowers. Lady Ziphion and personal guard.
  11. My category B entry: More pics, description, UoP claims, etc. tomorrow. I'm going to sleep... One of the many new watch towers the Black Spire forces have built to protect their newly controlled territory. This one, guarded by some ex-Varlyrion soldiers, sits on the edge of the Moruth Swamplands and protects a passage into the Rakath Mountains. This is my first foray into the world of round towers and I was also channeling a bit of SoccarKid's style with the odd bricks thrown in. I'm not completely sure the color blocking in the tower works, but at least it's Nocturnus-y. UoP claims: Architecture - round walls and towers Military Science - fortifications Trade and Law - arresting criminals flickr set C&C welcome!
