  3. Lance's Plane & Trike My 3rd alternate model of Lance's Mecha Horse. The plane features a spinning propeller, working missiles, opening cockpit and detachable shield. The trike rolls on the ground and uses Flamethrower's mohawk for aiming the arrow gun. Both the models are surprisingly solid.
  4. Lance's VTOL I would like to introduce my first alternate build of LEGO NEXO KNIGHTS Lance's Mecha Horse 70312. The VTOL plane can tilt and spin all four engines, features opening cockpit and cargo bay, folds the weapons for mid-air jousting. Flamethrower is riding a combat scooter and Lance's bot is flying the hovershield. The building tutorial can be found in my Youtube channel. And the original model.
  5. John (LittleJohn) and I decided to do a collab series based around re-imagining old set themes. Adventurers is a theme we’ve liked for years, though we never had any of the sets. After getting some of the original figs at Brickfair, Virginia, we wanted to put them to good use. The landscape and temple were inspired by Grant Davis and Mark of Falworth. Johnny Thunder and his team of Adventurers have discovered an uncharted jungle island. Within the dense vegetation they find the entrance to a ruined temple! After leaping from pillar to pillar, over the crocodile swamp, Johnny reaches the gateway. They’re not the first ones there though, as the treasure-seeking gang boss, G.R. Edy is there with some henchmen. Will Johnny be able to prevail, and will Dr. Kilroy fall to the alligators? We hope you enjoy, and you can see plenty more pictures on our website

    MOCs: LEGO Aviation

Hi all, as you might know I’m a car builder mainly, however, I’m interested in practically everything in the Lego City world, boats, trains (and monorail, of course!) included. One of the subjects I’m very fond of is Lego aviation. Of course, we won’t see those heavy brick-built aircraft fly high in the sky. But even grounded planes are quite interesting, especially passenger and cargo planes, just because of their size which allows lots of special functions you won’t be able to include in smaller vehicles. Plus an airport is in fact a place where lots of different vehicles can be watched: crash tenders, pushbacks, pallet and belt loaders, jet air starters, refuelers, extra-wide buses etc. etc. Since there are quite a few MOCs now concerning aviation I will put them together in this thread. This can also be regarded as a contribution to the idea of a more technical Lego city where any space available is used to include functions or light to get more interesting Lego City layouts. #1 Faun 8x8 Crash Tender (ARFF/FLF) 8w ARFF, equipped with 3 flashing lights (9 Volt Light & Sound) plus battery box. Fits 2 minifig firefighters. The Faun has its own thread: http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=96949 #2 Canadair Waterbomber CL-215 Wingspan 80 studs, weight 1050 g, equipped with 3 PF M motors (2 for the engines, 1 for the flaps), battery box and IR receiver. The rudder is coupled with the nose wheel. Fits 2 minifig pilots. Since 2014 the Canadair has undergone some changes, e. g. it has smaller propellers nowadays. Also the Canadair has its own thread: http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=95522 #3 Turbofan A possible design of a spinning turbofan with PF M motor I've developed some years ago: Sorry, I only have this blurry video of it. This design hasn't been used on an aircraft model yet, maybe I'll build something around it in the future. #4 Pushback/Tow Tractor/Aircraft Tug “Goliath” Not the most beautiful vehicle I've ever built, but it does its job: moving relatively large aircraft on a Lego airport which is rather rare to be seen, I guess. Equipment: PF M motor, IR receiver, battery box + Light & Sound flashing lights. Plus it has a storage compartment to keep the tug bolts. The pushback has a front wheel drive (with worm gear) and is able to push or pull Lego aircraft up to 1,5 kg (tested), maybe more, on a straight path - I wasn't able to build in a proper steering. More pics: Fixing the engine: Video: Thanks for looking, more to come (there's another aircraft in the pipeline). [Edit, 26 June 2016] #5: Sea King Coast Guard Helicopter PF motorized The chopper has its own thread: http://www.eurobrick...26#entry2596441

    Bombardier C-Series

Hello everyone I would like to introduce my model for the Bombardier C-Series (both the CS100 and the CS300) which is the newest narrow body plane being made by the Canadian giant Bombardier to take on Airbus and Boeing's duopoly on the medium sized aircraft market. My model for the CS100, the smaller of the two members of the family comes in the colours of Swiss Global Airline, which is the launch customer for the type. The aircraft features retractable landing gears and opening doors. It can seat 6 passengers. The tail is this way until I can justify ordering two 3x3 cross plates (15397) which I still have to do. DSC04420 by Maxim Pieuchot, on Flickr DSC04442 by Maxim Pieuchot, on Flickr DSC04437 by Maxim Pieuchot, on Flickr DSC04427 by Maxim Pieuchot, on Flickr My CS300 is 4 studs longer and comes in the colours of my custom airline Nova Airlines. The aircraft features the same retractable landing gear and door system. DSC04460 by Maxim Pieuchot, on Flickr DSC04467 by Maxim Pieuchot, on Flickr I hope you enjoy these two airplanes. My goal is too bring more details into the lego aviation world. I hope you find these creations achieve this. All comments are welcome :) Happy Building -Max

    SHIELD Quinjet MOC

This is a pretty old MOC of the Quinjet from the Avengers movie and Agents of SHIELD. Cockpit has seating for 2 minifigs, and there's a lot of room for storage on the inside.
  12. Hi all, I'd like to introduce you an alternative build for the 42025 Cargo Plane: the Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) Cargo Plane. It's using only parts from the amazing 42025 Cargo Plane model. You can find the MOC details and building instructions at http://rebrickable.com/mocs/Shutterfreak/42025-model-c-vtol Above image is a LDD rendering. I eventually recreated the model with LDCad and produced instructions with LPub3D. The core design is the official 42025 A model (cargo plane), but I reused the linear actuators that lift the cockpit and the cargo bay and placed them in the engines to allow them to pivot between vertical position (take-off and landing) and horizontal position (cruising). The engines can be tilted while the propellers are running, which makes the VTOL operate as in reality. To demonstrate what this VTOL MOC can do, please check the following small YouTube video fragment: I know I should upload some more photos, I hope o find some time in the near future to do so. I hope you enjoy this MOC.
  13. The De Havilland DHC-2 often called Beaver is probably the most famous and beloved bush plane ever built. With its distinct look, flight characteristics and sound it's instantly recognizable. It was produced from 1947 to 1967 by De Havilland Canada. Despite being out of production for many years now a lot of planes are still in use. If you want to find out more about the real plane click here. With the help of gabriele.zannotti I built the DHC-2 out of Lego. Features: True to original plane with details such as exhaust, floats, decorated cockpit, nice looking and fresh colour scheme, window prints on the fuselage, radial engine print, antennas and lights on the wings Retractable landing gear that folds into the floats Accessories namely first aid kit, a mail package, a letter ,a fuel canister, a safety buoy and a rope to tie up the plane A small piece of land with a wooden dock, a fir tree and an air sock 2 minifigures, a pilot and a hermit who lives in the wilderness with his dog So what are you waiting for? Support this project on Lego Ideas and with some luck you can soon take your plane and deliver the hermit's mail into the wilderness! This model was built in mecabricks and rendered using blender. Special thanks to gabriele.zannotti for making the awesome pictures! It doesn't only need a good model to make a great project but also a cool way of presenting it. Make sure to check out his flickr account for more amazing images! Thanks for checking out our article. Make sure to support, comment and share! This is a collaboration between gabriele.zannotti and saabfan.
  14. Hi, here's my LDD model of Captain Baloo's famous plane. I hope you like it :) Best Vaionaut Edit: @Mod: Please correct the typo in the Title (Disney's). Thx!
  15. Hi, the NC-4 was a flying boat, manufactured by the Curtiss Aeroplane and Motor Company in Buffalo, NY. In May 1919 it became the first aircraft to fly across the Atlantic Ocean. I really like the design of this plane and so I built it in the LDD. Here are the pics: Best Vaionaut

  17. Hello everyone, if anyone finds out about new airport or airplane sets please post here because the last airport sets were released in 5 year intervals with cargo sets 2 years later. So is it possible that new airport sets will be coming out? Thank you in advance 7893 airport in 2006 7734 cargo plane in 2008 3182 airport in 2011 60022 cargo terminal in 2013 00000 airport in 2016?? 00000 cargo plane 2018?? P.S. Can you check out my cargo terminal mods when i have posted the images? Thank you in advance:)
  18. Airbus A380 Micro Model The Airbus A380 is a double-deck, wide-body, four-engine jet airliner manufactured by European aircraft company Airbus. It is the world's largest passenger airliner, and the airports at which it operates have upgraded facilities to accommodate it. It was initially named Airbus A3XX and designed to challenge Boeing's monopoly in the large-aircraft market. The A380 made its first flight on 27 April 2005 and entered commercial service in October 2007 with Singapore Airlines. -Wikipedia Now I present to you the biggest passenger plane out of Lego! I tried to include as much details as possible at this small scale and I must say I'm quite pleased with the result. The project features: Detailed plane Decals Removable landing gear Display stand in various colors It's built out of 365 bricks which seems quite reasonable for a Lego Ideas set. Here're some more pics: Thanks a lot to Anduin1710 who made the beautiful renders. Make sure to check out his projects. Especially if you're a LotR or Hobbit fan! Do you like my MOC? Please consider supporting over at Lego Ideas to make it become a real set! Your help is greatly appreciated!

    [C-08] Hovering Around

Mission: Scout Lorstan II for water. Tags. Plane, Kawashita, Lorstan II, Pilot They sent me to Lorstan II to scout for a water source, pretty sure it won't be hard to find.. Mantis is on the offensive now, won't be long until we are competing with them on planets on a regular basis. Hopefully I'll have time to finish the big ship.

    60022 cargo terminal MODS

Hello I would like to see the mods everyone has put on their cargo planes. I have installed flat tiles in the middle of the plane for there to be more room for the cargo. I have added winglets and moving levers in the cockpit for realism. So please share your mods. If you do not have this set you can share the other cargo planes and all lego city passenger planes. Thank you in advance. Some winglets for more realistic wings

  22. After making the asymmetrical Blohm&Voss BV 141 aircraft from the set 60064 Arctic Supply Plane, I wanted to make some more of its kind. Once somebody tries to find a present day asymmetrical plane, surely finds the "Boomerang", which was designed by Burt Rutan. It is a one of a kind double engine airplane, and has a very stable flight even with one motor off. In case you have never seen it, you can find a pic HERE. As this one has a very curvy shape, it was totally impossible to "copy" it from the set 60064, but I still wanted to build something similar. Burt Rutan Boomerang (60064 alternate) by Plastic.Ati, on Flickr As normally, I wanted to catch some important point from the design. The nose of the main body was very hard to plan as the cockpits themselves were too big and ugly for a "base". Fortunately I found a way to fix the window of the flat cockpit only, which gave me a chance to build a better form. Burt Rutan Boomerang (60064 alternate) by Plastic.Ati, on Flickr As you can see, I could make the thing in minifig scale, which was "necessary" for me. Burt Rutan Boomerang (60064 alternate) by Plastic.Ati, on Flickr The wings are bent forward (see the name: boomerang) and upwards too. I wanted to make it so much that I spent quite a time with just the wings, building and dismantling the connection to the body infinite times. Burt Rutan Boomerang (60064 alternate) by Plastic.Ati, on Flickr I haven't found a way to make wheels for a landed version, and I even run out of elements for making the middle piece of the wings correctly, and it was problematic from an other point of view too. I wanted to make it more or less similar to the original, and even stable enough for making the model swooshable. I spent 2 more hours on the stabilisation, and finally I could make the connection between the bodies hard enough, so now the model won't break apart when somebody plays with it. Burt Rutan Boomerang (60064 alternate) by Plastic.Ati, on Flickr I know, the middle wing is ugly, but now I have no better idea. In case I find a nicer way to build it, I will update the post. C&C are welcome. The instructions will be ready on the next week, and whenever it is accessable on Rebrickable, I will put the link here. If you missed my earlier alternates for this set, you can find them below:
  23. Continuing the line of strange looking airplanes... This alternate from the set 60064 Arctic Supply Plane has been inspired by the asymmetrical reconnaissance aircraft from the german manufacturer Blohm und Voss. Now this is what "eurotrash" mentioned in my earlier post. Blohm&Voss BV 141 (60064 alternate) by Plastic.Ati, on Flickr This time it was very hard to regenerate the shape, as the cockpit panels were way too big, and there were not enough rounded or slope bricks. Starting from this point I tried to find the right measures for the wings (which were bent up at the ends, making some headache for me). I used THIS drawing for verifying the proportions, but I had to change several points because of the part availability. Blohm&Voss BV 141 (60064 alternate) by Plastic.Ati, on Flickr I ended up with a minifig-compatible, very swooshable model, which was not a copy of the original, but easily recognisable due to its distinct shape. Blohm&Voss BV 141 (60064 alternate) by Plastic.Ati, on Flickr Blohm&Voss BV 141 (60064 alternate) by Plastic.Ati, on Flickr After finishing the body it took me a while to find a solution for the foldable wheels on the wings, and I can say that it can hold the whole weight of the plane, but you should not push it too hard as it is the week point. During flight they can be folded up to the wings. Blohm&Voss BV 141 (60064 alternate) by Plastic.Ati, on Flickr Blohm&Voss BV 141 (60064 alternate) by Plastic.Ati, on Flickr Now I am working on the instructions so once it is ready, I will put the link here. Until that Finally the instructions are ready, and can be found on my Rebrickable page along with some other pics. C&C are welcome. Below you can check my other alternates for this set:
  24. Hi Everyone! This is the beginning of a new year so I finally gained some time to make my first posts. As I like making alternate builds for nearly every set I open, the "hard-to-find" piece of the Arctic series from year 2014 was no exception. I liked the big twin-boom airplane a lot so I wanted to make some more of this kind. I wanted to build an easy one first, so I have chosen the Fokker F.25 Promotor, because of its pusher configuration. It's minifig compatible, quite swooshable, but the propeller needs some attention as the one-stud connection is less stable. Fokker F.25 Promotor (60064 alternate) by Plastic.Ati, on Flickr I've tried to make a wheeled version too, but without a useable wheel it wasn't too easy... Fokker F.25 Promotor (60064 alternate) by Plastic.Ati, on Flickr Fokker F.25 Promotor (60064 alternate) by Plastic.Ati, on Flickr For those who want more: go to my Rebrickable page (links to more pics, and instuctions) For those who want to check the original: click HERE Hope you will have a very nice and prosperous year in 2015! [ MOC ] Medical Ship "White Whale"

When Tony Stark decides to leave the arm-dealing field, he sets up Stark Resilient, which aims to put his technology to the city to benefit the needed people. This time, he puts his arc reactor on the medical ship, and that helps reduce the transport time for patients to the hospitals and makes in-the-air surgery possible. The arc reactor engines are small and powerful, so that the ship can have more space for other uses. Tony meets the team of medical staff at the launch of new medical ship. Overview of the ship, which is quite bulky. Probably that gives people a more "caring and steady" feel for transporting the injured. Side view, and front view below. The cockpit has two seats, and the higher back one can be closed sideways so as to give access to the front seat. And yes, it is a little futuristic era to see the blue transparent panel. Maybe the front should have the same, now I realize! The top is the core of the energy source. The new repulsor engine in action. Normal; flipping out shields and turning backwards for rear thrust.... The back, which has two doors to ensure that the inside is sealed off from the outside, since this ship allows in-the-air surgery. The inside is a well equipped surgery room, with all the necessary medical supplies and tools. "Relax, and we will soon arrive at the hospital for a more thorough check." Thanks for checking!
