    MOC:Gander park

Hello fellow EB members; After obtaining the 'Fun in the park' set this year I was inspired to create something similar to home and made Gander Park. The curved path and 'Goose boat' were the feature I wanted to include the most. Originally it was supposed to be a swan boat but I struggled to make a elegant neck so tapered my ambitions and tried to make a duck boat but failed that as well. So a sturdy Goose it is! No kids at this part of the park as I'll hopefully get round to that at a later date. Only a couple of pics shown below; If you want to view them on flickr the link is here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/52656812@N04/ Comments on this MOC and suggestions for what you think would be in another area of the park such as swings etc are most welcome! Cheers!

    [MOC] My little Pocket Park

Hey Guys, i wanted to show you one of my recent Projects.I`m currently working on a little Park and i think it will turn out pretty nice.I used the Term Pocket Park because it`s just a small Lot of Greenery situated on an empty Corner Lot. Besides of using my own Builds,i also use various Bits from the Creator Fountain Promo (well, pretty much all of it), the Fun in the Park Set (some Minifigs and other little Bits) and the Ghostrider Spiderman Team Up (the Streetcorner with Trafficlight and Newspaper Boxes). There is still much to do like paving the Parks Path (i`m using a Mix of 1x1 Tiles, Plates in round and Square aswell as some Cheeseslopes) and the Walkway with 2x2 and 1x2 Tiles. Also,i need to build 2 or 3 small Trees (boy am i glad that i`m not an experienced Treebuilder...) But i already placed some Shrubbery, Flowers, a couple of Animals and a dark Secret.... I will update this Thread when i have some Progress to show. I hope you like it.Any Tips and Tricks are welcome...
  3. Here's my entry for Bob's fantastic maze competition - another theme park entry, this time based on the 1993 blockbuster classic Jurassic Park. Start at the dark green tile by the InGen helicopter and roll through the iconic gates. Pass the Galliminus grazing area and visit the beautiful Visitor Center. Watch out, the T-Rex has escaped! Don't hide in the outhouse... Continue on past the Raptor Enclosure and discover the empty jeep that Nedry once drove on his way out. Finally, pass the Stegosaurus, reach the generator bunker, and restore power to the park! Here's the obligatory shot with the standard maze frame: The tiles near the helicopter and Nedry's jeep are actually trans-blue, but they showed up weird on the render. Likewise the flames are trans-orange. All parts exist, including the red dinosaur: http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?S=4079-1#T=S&O={} C&C welcome!

    (MOC) Playground

This is a playground that I designed using Mecabricks. It has a big (kind of bulky) tunnel, monkey bars, merry-go-round, swings, and a suspension bridge. It also has 2 slides and 3 minifigures. The seats for the swings aren't perfect, but it's the best design I could come up with.
  6. It has been almost 15 months since I finished building my last "friends-themed" amusement ride, the teacups. Now, I happily present the latest addition to my amusement park: the tourbillion! Tourbillion is a mechanism widely used in vintage watches. A tourbillon aims to counter the effects of gravity by mounting the escapement and balance wheel in a rotating cage, to negate the effect of gravity when the timepiece (thus the escapement) is stuck in a certain position. It is also a kind of training given to astronauts so that they can be get used to the Outer Space. Now, the girls are sent to the machine: Tourbillion has recently become a kind of amusement ride. It is just invented in Switzerland in the middle of 2015. The first launch (which requires you to buy tickets), however, is in HONG KONG!!! Want to see it rolls? Here are a few still images: Of course, you may find a video more helpful to you: Want a virtual ride? Watch this video: As usual, before I have completed my work, I suffer quite many times of failures. ^^ My former works of the Friends' Theme Park for your easy reference: 1. Park Trees

I don't do many city builds, but I put these together for a DFWLUG contest and thought I'd share here. The birch/aspen tree was inspired by Miro Dudas and the evergreen used some techniques from Thorsten Bonsch. Park by Ryan McBryde, on Flickr

    Winter Village: City Park

The design for this model is really a long story, it all started with a small shed for a sleigh, then developed into a market with shops which as for the first ended badly. Finally it became this a small town square fit for a Lego Citty. This set (simply reffering to my MOC as a set) includes three small snow mounds, A frozen fountain a small bench, A patch of snow with Christmas tree, a horse drawn sleigh (altered version of my original) and the focal point a gate and fence. So without further ado my Christmas MOC: The first photo shows the Christmas Queen elected by a panel of judges in a beauty pagent riding in the honorary sleigh, passing out presents to all the good boys and girls of the town. This shows an overview of the whole park with the small fountain and some people snowball fighting. This shows the fountain the statue replaced with a small christmas tree honoring the season and two of the towns most pristigious buisness men solving the argument with a good old fashioned snowball fight. This final photo shows the gate into which you enter the park it is a known site for the villagers and a favorite meeting point. I had a lot of fun with this MOC (and storyline) and comments are greatly appreciated on all aspects including both story and model.
  9. Hello everybody, I'd like to show you my new big MOC, presented at the Italian ITlug fest last weekend, in Lecco. It is a working roller coaster, build up using the "roller coaster factory" system. The roller coaster is called "Space Oddity" as a tribute to the great song, and it represent a bad-ending space travel, with initial ramp up to the faraway planets and the fast crash with two space shuttles crashed on foreing planets. The entrance building represent the NASA Vehicle Assembly Building, the front wall can be easily take out to llok inside. Hope you like: Bye Teazza

  12. Hello everyone, As promised in the official Jurassic World thread, I'm sharing the LDD models I made of some of the JW vehicles. Like many of you, I was a little disappointed by the vehicle builds in this theme and wanted to make my own more movie-accurate versions of some of them. Most are heavily inspired by offical LEGO builds (mostly from the City line). Note that the stickers are obviously missing from the vehicles so I'm afraid you'll have to use your imagination for that part. The first vehicle is loosely inspired by the Textron Tiger armoured truck which appears towards the end of the movie. It is based on the offrad pickup truck from the 1st Avengers movie (set 6867). I turned it into a two-seater and added the rear section. JW Textron Tiger 1 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr JW Textron Tiger 3 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr Up next is the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van used by the ACU to track the I-rex. This one is based on an ambulance from the City theme (set 4431). JW Sprinter 1 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr There's enough room for about 4-5 figures in the back but it's a tight fit... JW Sprinter 4 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr The next vehicle is the ACU 6x6 G36 from the same scene. This one is an original design but I'm still not 100% please with how it turned out. Hopefully you'll still like it and maybe some more talented builders will improve it. JW 6x6 1 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr JW 6x6 3 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr Here's how it looks next to the Sprinter van. JW by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr Next is the G-class SUV, which is pretty much JW's version of the Jeep Wrangler. I made two versions of this one, the first of which is pretty much a recoloured police SUV from set 4440. JW Mercedes 1 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr I then made a second version of the car, which is a two-seater with working doors. JW Mercedes 2 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr And finally, we have the Unimog. I used City set #60083 (which is a much better representation of a Unimog than the JW one) as a base for this one and tried to improve the official LEGO design from the JW theme. JW Unimog 1 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr JW Unimog 2 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr The rear section was made shorter and I completely modified the interior but you can still fit standing minifigs in there without problems. JW Unimog 3 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr Here's an example of the vehicle with a different rear section (this one is inspired by set 4205). JW Unimog 4 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr JW2 by Elrond Half-elven, sur Flickr If you guys like them, here's the LDD file containing all the vehicles: Jurassic World Vehicles.lxf Thank you for stopping by. ;)

    MOC: Friends Animal Park

Since there are so many animals in LEGO Friends, it seems obvious to build a Friends zoo. I got the idea at LEGO Fan Weekend in Skærbæk in Denmark last year where my first Friends MOC “Rainbow Holiday Center” was located next to another Friends MOC, which was a zoo, but just built in a different way than I would do it. Together with my 19-year-old son Lasse I started building the layout between Christmas and New Year. The layout was completed and exhibited for the first time at a Danish LEGO exhibition in the beginning of May. We also expect that it will be exhibited at LEGO Friends days in LEGOLAND Billund 6-7 June. More photos: https://www.flickr.c...157652462197078 Video:

    Motorized Bumper Cars

[This is a LEGO Ideas' project and it awaits your support: "]https://ideas.lego.c...rojects/102064] Hello everyone, I have been away from LEGO Town for quite a long time. Here comes my MOC... not 100% a sort of new work but a refinement of my previous one: http://www.eurobrick...l=+bumper +cars (LEGO Friends' Theme Park (4): Bumper Cars) Since then, I was advised by a number of people that such a girly MOC was far less desirable than a boy one. That's why this comes out: It takes me for more than a year to make improvements -- virtually a new start except the use of magnets is retained. There are so many stages of transformation; there are simply many trials and errors I have experienced... The cars looks more resemblance to real ones. I use a tiled baseplate even though a normal baseplate with studs do not affect the smooth running of the cars. I also make the turntable much more handy, so that it require much fewer bricks. In the meantime, I still keep the delay function (In case you don't know what I am referring to, please check the video at the bottom of this page) In order to make the set more playable, there is a manuel mode: you can pick up the axles placed at the top of the set and use them to control a car and smash the others. Hope you enjoy my work and think this is much fun! A video is better than 1000 words. Most likely you will understand all my words above after watching it: Finally, yes, this is my project of LEGO Ideas. If you really want to own this set, please come to the following link and become one of the 10,000 supporters. Every vote counts! ^^ https://ideas.lego.com/projects/102064 Thank you very much!!!
  15. I was talking about the upcoming Jurassic World LEGO-Sets with a friend of mine and said, that I hope they will also realease some Sets from the older movies (like they did with Indiana Jones). She answered that she would love to see a "toilet-scene"-Set where the "bloodsucking lawyer" gets eaten by the T-Rex... Since that probably won't happen I decided to give it a shot myself More pictures of my creations can be found in the LEGO folder of my homepage!

    Dilapidated Park

I put this together as practice for building environments in general, as my LUG's 5th annual display for the train depot in town is coming up and I wanted to be able to contribute more than rolling stock. Considering it's my first one, I don't think it turned out too bad... but I would have liked more verticality! I ran out of plant parts so I couldn't make it as extensive as I wanted either. I'm pretty sure this goes into Town and not Trains because the focus is on the landscape, but I could be wrong. More pictures can be found here on my DeviantArt page.

MOC - Godwins Hollow City Hall

This is another of the main buildings in our city - Godwins Hollow. We really liked the official city hall but needed something bigger so we expanded it. The inside of the building has lots of details - a DMV, jury deliberation room, court room, judge's office, mayor's office, city council room, and press briefing room. Hope you enjoy. You can see more of the building here and here and the park around the building here and here.

MOC: Park Ranger Crew Cab Truck

i'm working on a series of photos of trucks and other various Lego vehicles around my hometown of Moab UT. Since Moab is home to two national parks, one state park, one BLM park and endless BLM land, park rangers are a common site. in fact two of my neighbors are rangers. so naturally i needed a ranger truck. the truck is pretty basic, i just wanted to make a crew cab sized truck with a green stripe. since i have my own vinyl cutter and had some scrap gold vinyl i made a NPS sticker for the doors. i'm pretty happy with how the decals turned out. unfortunately it's hard to cut really small so cutting out words like RANGER would be impossible at that size. of course i needed some rangers to go with it. the sherif torso is good enough, the hats and smiling faces help it out. really i think it would be a fun line of City sets. i'm a bit tired of the Police sets and I think a Park Ranger line could be a cool alternative. you'd get the same vehicles, boats, helicopters, trucks, etc, but instead of chasing bad guys they could be helping animals, rescuing hikers, or guiding park visitors.
  19. A new addition to my LEGO Friends' theme park. (Soon not to be new because I am currently building part 6). This should have been the first of the series because this is my daughter's most favourable ride in a amusement park. I don't know why I build this so late. My build starts with this big gear at the centre. That's a retired part from Star War set 4481. It helps me a lot. Of course it is always better to watch the relevant video clip than to look at still pics: My former works of the Friends' Theme Park for your easy reference: 1. 20. The Bat-Bunker is a secret headquarters underneath Wayne Tower established during the tenure of Dick Grayson as Batman and Damian Wayne as Robin. It's intended as a counterpart to the Batcave, but personalised to Grayson's crime-fighting approach and located in the heart of Gotham City. Alfred Pennyworth helped Grayson build the bunker and also runs maintenance. Although the Batcave was originally left functional, Grayson and Pennyworth eventually moved everything into the bunker when a security breach was made by Two-Face. So this was my first time building something comic book based (Besides Scenes) as a full Minifigure scale sized moc. And to be honest i think it turned out ok, When i choose to make this Moc i was reading all the Comics from Grant Morrison's run on Batman and the Bat-Bunker made its first appearance in a Comic i was reading so i took a lot of inspiration and references not only from that title but multiple. As with all comic book locations it looks different in all the multiple titles so i have taken many scenes and location and tried to fit them together. But most of this Moc has come from my own imagination with inspiration from multiple sources Tv, Movie, Comic etc. Wideshot Exterior shots Interior shots Promotional Poster for the Moc This Moc was displayed at Brickvention 2014, Melbourne Australia. Thanks For Visiting!

    Free Falling Gyro Drop

This is appalling to my minifigs... ^^" The carriage falls at top speed due completely to gravity. Basically speaking, bricks will be loosed a little bit after 3-4 falls but the machine can still function properly. No bricks will be detached or torn apart, except that a little hand of one of the minifigs fall out after perhaps 40 falls (ref: the following picture) ^^" The following pictures show how it functions: Want to see it in motion?

  23. My entry for the Winter Village IV Contest: "Theatre in the Park!" While shopping at the winter village, why not stay and watch a bit of legitimate theatre? UPDATED 12/16: Added more pictures of the vignette. Main View Stage Park/Bench Area Thanks for viewing my entry! LegoWookie, on Flickr
  24. Another facility of my Friends' theme park. I wish not only girls love it, but also boys do. As a father of a 5-year girl, I have won her heart and let her go nut. You may do the same to your daughters/lover/fiance/wife. The girls like to bump the others. Sometimes it can be a head-to-head bump. The bumper cars are driven by magnets underneath. Enjoy. This bumper cars set is consisted of 3 major components: (1) The baseplate, which resembles 10196 (but not a full copy) (2) The turntable, which looks a little bit complex (3) The top plate Please have a look at the following video: The cars are powered by magnets. If you want to know further how it operates, check this video of "the making of bumper cars" https://www.facebook...&type=2 This is a CUUSOO project. Please support if you really want it to become an official LEGO product: http://lego.cuusoo.c...deas/view/53204 My former works of the Friends' Theme Park for your easy reference: 1. Grand Carousel: http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=87068 2. Ferris Wheel: http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=87882 3. Gyro Drop: http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=88256 I am currently working on part V of this theme park and so far I have no idea of where should I stop. Perhaps this theme park is ever expanding. I may be a bit clumsy. Still sincerely hope you enjoy my work.
  25. This is Part 3 of my project. After rebuilding the LEGO official products of 10196 and 4597, I start to build a true MOC. It is a CUUSOO project and it awaits your support: http://lego.cuusoo.c...deas/view/48013 The girls of LEGO Friends need more excitement and here they go to the Gyro Drop (or Falling Machine). It is a 10-seater gyro drop powered by a motor and remote control (optional). Yet it does not merely operate with electricity – it operates with the magic of magnet!!! Safety to the girls is always the utmost concern!!! The carriage may fall at an alarming speed but the girls won’t feel any shock when they come to the lowest point. The carriage cannot reach the floor – the magnets underneath helps to float the carriage!!! At the same time (when they come to the lowest point), the girls won’t feel any vibration as the magnets sideway help to stable the carriage. The girls' feet are exposed to feel the breeze when they feel the excitement. The carriage only has minimal contact with the stand, so that it can fall very smoothly. Movie clip of this Gyro Drop -- Former works: (I) Friends' Grand Carousel 10196: http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=87068 (II) Friends' Ferris Wheel 4957: http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=87882
