  1. Hi guys, Just recently completed my first Star Wars oriented MOC, the Republic Laat/c with ATTE. I started this build about 3 years ago and it was going to be just the ship itself before I took up the walker project about a month ago. This is probably my largest MOC to date, and it's by far the heaviest. The hardest part was allowing the walker to connect and detach from the ship easily without the walker's weight putting too much strain on the bricks. Republic Dropship and AT-TE by James Asbury, on Flickr Let me know what you think! You can find all of my creations and more photos of the build at flickr.com/photos/jasbury
  2. Hi guys, here my newest creation: The First Order Walker from the japanese trailer(you can see the walker in the background).Unfortunately i have to use a support :( ,but I hope it disturbs not so much.Dimensions: 48 x 64 Studs(baseplate) Here the pics: Here the picture from the trailer/teaser: I hope you like it :) Greetings KevFett2011

[WIP] MOC of the AT-ST Walker in LDD

One of the several projects and great MOCs to come, which I have been designing recently in LDD—the AT-ST walker. In brief, this project was initiated after I was inspired by the original design of the waist by anothergol for his articulated AT-ST. Specifically, I was impressed with his subtle utilization of paint brushes and mudguards to easily recreate some of distinct details and features on this region. In addition, I as well, implemented the 5 x 5 scala dishes as the mounts for the support cannons. Then interestingly, I did not notice this until recently, but structure of the feet are designed similarly, with significant use of bracket elements—what a coincidence! However, mine will most likely not accommodate minifigures. Since there are different models of the AT-ST used in the movies and many illustrations of the AT-ST, the principal image I reference is the blueprints of the walker from ROTJ, which was a hybrid of the model actual seen in that movie with a boxy head and the one featured in ESB that had elongated legs. Regarding the design, I took quite a bit of liberty with some of the proportions and details. Specifically, the legs are thicker than should be for a minifigure scale AT-ST, which is lightly attributed to the available elements, but to also an exceptionally sturdy design—it is sophisticated yet simultaneously subtle. Likewise, the waist significantly thinner as compared to the legs and head importantly. This is reason to the length of the mudguard used as the carapace being 2 x 4 rather than conveniently being 2 x 6. Besides the absent connections in the head, as I have yet to design that, the fragmented legs is because those elements are not available in LDD. Lastly, since I could not utilize BlueRender, because I happen to not know how to operate it on Macs, even though I read the tips, I alternatively made an LDD photo box that is comprised of 48 x 48 base plates, hinge plates, and curved bricks :-) Forward view: Rightward view: Rearward view: Leftward view: Downward view: Dramatic view: If you notice for the main cannon, I used the flexible bars, which are hollowed at the ends. Leg details: Brackets are the fundamental element for durable legs. Foot details: Waist details: Brackets are also fundamental here.

[MOC] [WIP] The Command of the AT-AT

The Head - No, it is not the understated as just another AT-AT, because it won’t be, but for the matter of this topic, it is, momentarily, just a head. Though merely a head, it makes a rather astonishing display piece by itself. Aside from the towering height and lumbering movement of this terrifying machine, the head is quite formidable in appearance, resembling that of a fearsome beast. - In the course to build my original creation of the greatly revered imperial walker of the grand army of the empire, I amass a wealth of reference material concerning studio models, replicas, on-screen images, artwork, etc., to meticulously build the perfect LEGO incarnation that is indubitably authentic to the movies. I have been building this minifigure-scale AT-AT for quite some time—I recall since 2012 with the start of the body section. However, as of recently, since early 2015, I have built the head for this admirable tool of destruction. - Furthermore recently, I have been constructing the infrastructure of the body, acquiring additional parts & correct colors, making considerable amount of alterations, but I have postponed most of this to venture off and design my original minifigure-scale T-47 Airspeeder (Snowspeeder) in LDD, which turned out into a successful MOC and will be a great companion. I planned after that to resume progress with the AT-AT, but after I was inspired by anothergol’s innovative use of paint rollers and mudguards for the waist of his articulated AT-ST, I was just motivated to jump ahead and create my own creation of the imposing “chicken walker” beforehand. Mine, which will implement those techniques of his that I mentioned early, but also the 5 x 5 Scala dish. Interestingly, my own creation first turned out MF-scale, then evolved into UCS scale, then separated into two projects: a MF-scale and UCS scale! A considerable amount of progress has been completed on both projects, with the MF-scale almost finished and the UCS scale having feet and the waist finished. However, for concern of the UCS model, I have postponed its progress to focus on the MF-scele—to complete that and finally resume progress with the MF-scale AT-AT walker. - Regarding this MOC of the AT-AT head, you should notice that I deliberately took some liberty in the greebling located at the bottom. This was a compromise due to the thickness of some elements and from the lack of elements that could properly represent those tiny details, in this scale, authentically. I was as well tight on space for building the main cannons. I originally wanted to attribute a sliding action to them, as if they were in action, but this was unfortunately omitted due to a number of things, which includes: space, structure, scale, parts, etc., which also brought them closer together than intended. Along with other things, like the lack of other small details on the face and others things, that is practically as far as inaccuracies go for it. Nevertheless, one extra detail I have included, which I have not seen previously before represented, are the light fixtures atop the medium support blasters mounted on the cheeks. Then among other characteristics, I can grasp the head by the neck and jerk it around without any parts coming undone, with exception to the roof because it is not fixed together (kinda like other @@ heads I know of ). That rigid likability is attributed to the infrastructure constructed exclusively with Technic & modified plates (w) Technic elements, which also clutches the sides securely in place and almost seamlessly with other aspects. For this fact of such a packed, robust, complex infrastructure, there is no interior, likewise for the whole body—I never had intentions to include such luxuries anyway, but I congratulate those who did. - To determine the dimensions of a MF-scale AT-AT walker, I first acquired theorized dimensions of the actual walker from an in depth survey of its structural components, capabilities, practical role, and tactical uses: here. Wookieepedia is informative in some areas, but it claims the walker is taller than it is longer, which it is clearly not. Besides the overall dimension of the walker’s height and length, this technical commentary also provides a reasonable measurement of its width, diameter of the footpads, and other aspects like the height of boarding hatch. I also found this useful: here. To find the MF-scale, it took some little conversion of average human being height, minifigure height, dividing, multiplying, then more multiplying, but it came out to be around 20in/50cm. Some time on, I took the actual height of my model from toe to the main section of the body and acquired the measurements around 21in/53.34cm, then rework some steps back to get the plausible measurements of 85ft/26m. For the footpads, each are 12 studs in diameter and its height a few measures above a minifigure's chin. So the model is rather on scale for minifigures’ height, as well other aspects in general scaling, as according to the probable height of an actual AT-AT walker. - If there is any misconception about the visor of the command viewport being transparent red, I have some valid reasons to put those to rest. At first, if you notice the moment when five imperial walkers are advancing towards echo base, only the lead walker exhibits a red visor. During the scene, where General Maximilian Veers oversees the battlefield through the viewport the visor is transparent clear. Logically, if the visor was transparent red it could not beam as so bright as it did in a cloudy, snow filled day—not even in a sunny day. Though it appears black this is due to the overcasting shadow from the outside portion of the viewport. Therefore, the red lighting is believably a system for operations in low light periods or environments, to preserve the crews vision in these circumstances, while still being able to function about in the walker. - Well, if you are still reading, I am done for expressing this MOC, for I believe I have covered everything concerning the model and relating to it that was on my mind to say. So, you can finally enjoy the photos and express your own thoughts, criticisms, questions, etc. below. However, bear in mind that I will not be giving out any form of direction that will describe or depict how it is built—I appreciate that this is understood in advance of your comments. Much appreciated, LiLmeFromDaFuture

    [MOC] MR1 Walker

MR1 is a walker specially designed for the world championship of quadrupeds in Orion-3. MR1 Walker by FonsoSac, en Flickr The championship dates back to the early colonies that were established in the system. The lack of roads and the need to travel long distances to attend exomushrooms plantations, popularized the use of quadrupeds walkers vehicles. Soon farmers began making races between them and bet money and land. It was especially important the race at annual mushroom's fair in the city of Novaathens MR1 Walker by FonsoSac, en Flickr MR1 Walker by FonsoSac, en Flickr MR1 Walker by FonsoSac, en Flickr The races take place in rough terrain where walkers can exceed speeds of 130 km/h. These speeds can be achieved thanks to the terrain analysis and stabilization CPUs which avoid obstacles and should try to avoid falling correcting movements of the walker. Although accidents are not as frequent as in the origins of the sport still happens with injuries of all kinds to the pilots. MR1 Walker by FonsoSac, en Flickr C&C is welcome as always.

    [MicroMOC] The Planewalker

The Planewalker With their razor-sharp claws and alarming alacrity, the Wun’Tux are formidable enough opponents without augmentation. Their armoured Planewalkers only serve to make them more ferocious and intimidating. The Planewalkers look ungainly and awkward at first glance. Their odd angles and forward tilt give the impression the machine might tumble forward at any moment. But the Wun’Tux engineers are far from careless; the poise is maintained by a unique system of gyroscope-like devices, the centre of gravity so easily manipulated as to give the Planewalker a shocking straight-line speed. The ‘walkers are typically used to defend valuable locations (e.g. durillium mines) and to assault hardened enemy targets; the Wun’Tux are aware of the terror the sight of one can spark, however, and are not shy in using them to keep unruly slavesin line. BroodTribes are not shy of using the armour against other Wun’Tux, either; the ‘walkers often feature in the frequent bouts of Wun’Tux infighting. Planewalkers are usually piloted by the second-born of a brood; it is a position of respect and relative protection compared to third-born and below who tend to be deployed as foot soldiers. These walker pilots are talented but prone to arrogance and overestimation of their skills. Their ‘Shredder’ cannons inflict devastating damage on organic and lightly armoured targets, especially at short range. Their thick armour enables them to survive sustained exposure on the front lines. Their main vulnerability is from the air, although airborne attackers have their best chance of hitting a Planewalker if it is standing still; they are difficult targets when moving at full speed. The USEFpurposefully struck at defending walkers from orbit in preparation for the battle at Dronta VIII. The ‘Voidrunners’ (a group of ex-slaves involved in a guerilla war against the reptiles) have a way of disabling the gyro-stabilisers with a well-placed Improvised Explosive Device. This causes the ‘walker to malfunction, lose balance and often come crashing to the ground. This method, to the relief of Wun’Tux everywhere, not widely known. It is against Planewalkers that the Blackmane X-MM made its name; within the tight confines or an urban sprawl, the humanmechs were able to evade the Wun’Tux’s shredder cannons and close in for the kill. This remains one of the rare occasions on which Planewalkers were bested by another mech. [K - A04] War stories on walkers

Planet: A04 Mynderis Tags: Exploration Commander Turtle has been regaling Lieutenant Sonja Okura with his daring feats during the war on Pluto. So, as you can imagine, as soon as it touched his tea the spoon he was holding burst into flames! Haha. It's especially funny because he burnt his hands. Oh, Doctor Reagan was so angry, he kept repeating, "Give me back the burn cream," but he came to see the humour in it. Never let me live it down! He always said, "Why would you burn the hands of the one person who knows how to make a bandage?" He always knew how to take a joke well, that Doctor. Anyway, where was I? So, after that the engineering department made sure that all the spoons had sticky notes saying, "Do not coat with liquid-reactive explosives," which I thought was very funny. It's like they were asking for it! These little walkers sure are fun, aren't they Sonja? Sonja? Where the devil are you? SONJA! Oh hell. There is going to be an obscene amount of paperwork if she's gotten herself killed. To be continued?!

[MOC] Walking Chair by Bert.VR, on Flickr Or maybe it's just my latest alternate model... An entry for the Bricklink vehicle alternate competition, I wanted to do something different and worked with a non-vehicle set: 31019 Forest Animals. No wheels, no windscreens, no wings... it brings your creativity out. My main goal was to make it a pleasing model, and I think I succeded by using the curved bricks to their maximum and keeping the colors reasonably separated. The details aren't absent, with some engine greebles, controls, and an umbrella. And please forgive my silliness with this presentation. But the model ended up looking classy enough to inspire this Nespresso-esque style of 'advertizing'. I hope you enjoy my model. If you do, and if you want to build it yourself, visit Rebrickable. They also have a lot of alternate models. And don't forget to check out what amazing models my fellow-contestants came up with for the Bricklink MOC competition! Do more with your sets!

    Neo Blacktron Stuff

Hi everyone! Having been inspired by Matthias Riedel's Blacktron MOCs, I've been making some builds using the same colour scheme. Namely Black, Dark Bley and Trans Neon Green, which is inspired by the Rench minifig from Raid VPR (5981-1) and the Space Villain minifig (8803-6). I want to say in advance that I was very unhappy with my photography. Sorry about that! Some Notes! - The halftrack is originally by Matthias Riedel: http://www.flickr.com/photos/mr_blacktron/ - The crawler is based on a Nova Crawler, which is an alternate build of the Exo-Force kit, Supernova (7712), inspired by Matthias Riedel's blacktron MOC of same: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=412775 - The racer is a recolour of the Agents kit, Infearno Interception (70162). - The walker is an updated Sub Orbital Guardian (6878-1) from Blacktron II. - The fighter is a recolour of the Ice Planet 2002 set Blizzard Baron (6879). - The submersible is a MOC with it's main design forms coming from the Aquazone set, Crystal Scavenger (2160-1). Many more pics in my Flickr album: I've also ordered components for 8 more Neo Blacktron minifigs, and am eagerly anticipating their arrival! Comments welcome!

    [MOC] AT-DP MKII

My own spin on the AT-DP from Star Wars rebels. This one has an artillery cannon. In artillery mode. While not as powerful as a SPHAT, the AT-DP mkII is far more mobile and can easily handle engagements with infantry or light vehicles, making it far more versitile. I wonder if how the Battle of Endor would've went if the Empire had these... The pilots. In full drive. Not a pretty sight to see for a rebel

    [MOC] AT-RT

Hi guys! Today, I have my latest model, an AT-RT I built for LN.01354's MOC contest on his Flickr group, Lego Star Wars: MOCs 'n' Shots. It ended up winning first place over one other entry. But, that's besides the point. I'm really happy with the results of this AT-RT, since it fits a good scale and looks relatively close to some source material. I built it from the ground up, the feet being the hardest. I settled for half snot, which looks pretty good in the end. Full snot would have been nice, but it didn't work out I also made a breakdown for this guy, just in case anyone wants to build it. It was my first shot at a breakdown, so any suggestions on what to improve are appreciated. Without and further ado, here are the pictures! [MOC] AT-ST

I've always had the ambition to make a model worthy of the iconic designs from the Star Wars saga. I don't know how I ended up building an AT-ST some months ago, but it might have something to do with my adoration of marshal banana's and Brickdoctor's masterpieces. I hope this MOC is a worthy tribute. This model is built entirely in Lego Digital Designer, and that has had its consequences. Firstly, I couldn't use illegal (or just complex) connections, which resulted in some strange decisions (I still think tiles would have been better for eyelids. For the same reason, I couldn't get a cockpit interior. The connections needed to achieve that would take a ridiculous amount of aligning pieces...). The second consequence is even more important: I couldn't test the stability of the creation. So I could have spent a lot of time thinking this or that connection would be stronger, but unfortunately I couldn't experiment. Therefor, I stopped trying to make it super stable and concentrated on different aspects. This doesn't mean I took care to avoid the connections that are obviously weak, but I can give no guarantees whatsoever the model will hold (I give it 10% max). I used that time to focus on detail and realism. I tried to follow the original model as accurately as I deemed possible, and took care to avoid studs and axle holes to give it a more realistic look. I guess this is the most studless AT-ST MOC ever made... Also, I tried to include the same amount of points of articulation as in the original model, except in the feet, that certainly wouldn't allow a freedom under such load. Finally, I didn't build this model with Bricklink's catalog next to me, giving me a lot of freedom. The result is that not all parts of this model are available though. I'm sorry that it will remain a digital model. My real objective was to make something like "the ultimate AT-ST MOC". Now I realise there is no such creation, but every creation has its flaws and its strengths. I hope you can still appreciate it. So here are the pictures [MOC] AT-ST by Bert.VR, on Flickr When I had finished the model, I couldn't resist adding a small scene very much in the spirit of marshal banana's creation. I hope you like my try at the Ewok glider. [MOC] AT-ST - from all angles by Bert.VR, on Flickr Here are some 'technical views' to give you an idea about the proportions. I really like how most shapes turned out, but in the end the 'butt' is sticking out a bit too much for my taste. Still, I think it looks great from every angle. [MOC] AT-ST - Join the Empire! by Bert.VR, on Flickr This shot ended up being way more dramatic than intended, but I really like it. It gives you a closer look at the head and shows the details I added on the underside. There aren't a whole lot of very greebly areas on the model, so most of them you can see here. There aren't really any extraordinary parts usages in there, but I tried to mimic the details as good as possible [MOC] AT-ST - glider perspective by Bert.VR, on Flickr Another limitation was that I couldn't use flexible parts. These railings could have benefited from it. The same goes for some piping on the back. But anyway, here you can see how the head comes together. I like how the seams are minimal (not an easy feat in LDD!). I'm also quite proud of the solution I found for the side cannon. You wouldn't believe how many iterations I went through to arrive at this! [MOC] AT-ST - the rear by Bert.VR, on Flickr I guess every model has that one area where the structural elements shine through, making it a bit more ugly from that perspective. This is that angle. I also had to do a lot of fishy connections to cover it all up, especially with the connections of those decorative panels. Shifting to the lower section, I'm really glad with those exhausts. I couldn't use cheese slope mosaics, but a very accidental click led me to these brancard wheel pieces, and they just snapped perfectly into place. [MOC] AT-ST - who needs stable legs? by Bert.VR, on Flickr I spent a lot of time just to get the curved section at the front of the legs. I got the shape right, but the Technic holes aren't pretty. Still, this was the best thing I could come up with. Same goes for the feet: very tricky. The original model has a nice curved shape, and the only part that can match it has to be one of the cockpit pieces. That one had impossible connection points though, so I stuck to this solution. This isn't supposed to be all complaining of course. I had a blast building this model, and I hope you see it. With my comments, I tried to give the model some more nuance for you. I'd love to hear what your comments are! __________________ LXF File available here
  17. Hello Eurobricks member ! It has been a while I did not post here, but here is my latest MOC, an All Terrain Dewbacked Transporter build or the Techlug Contest 12., where the goal was to convert a Dewback in Lego, to make it being a Walker, or an AT-DT. As you can see, they are elements : the head, the body and the 4 legs. Here are pictures to show their building : As you can see, the interior is fully playable, there is enough space for 5 minifigs. Their weapons are located on the inner roof side. There are two doors, one of each side and a trapdoor if you get to loose a piece or a blaster Inside, you'll only have to open it to get it back ! Also, the minifigs can use it to enter the Walker. Here are some pics to show different perspecives : I'm quite satisfated with the joints, excepted at the back. I wanted to build a tail for this AT-DT, but the rules of the contest did not alloud to build a Walker longer than 38,5 cm. Instead, a gunner is placed in a cabin at the back and watches for ennemies ! Here is a larger view of the bottom section : I really wanted the Walker to be playable, so it had to be able to adopt different positions. In addition, you can choose t use the turret or as a gun or as a sattelite dish. The design is mainly based on the Clone Wars, with dark red bands and some greebles, such as telephones, levers, bars and plate or tiles modified. If it would exist in the films, it couls be a scout Walker which had to carry a small commando troup for specifics and dangerous missions. I designed it to be pretty strong, and it seems it's quite solid, an X-Wing and two full paint sprays can even land on it : Finally, I enjoyed building this walker for the contest, I could use some interesting, simple building techniques. I personnaly thing it looks like a Dewback, with a strong head, a large neck, small legs... But in comparison to other entries of the contest, I could not rebuild in Lego all the aspects and the whole spirit of an Dewback in a Walker. Still, it remains a proposition of how a Kuat Drives Ingeneer could adapt the abilities and the appearance of a DewBack to make it becoming a Star Wars walker. What do you think ? Dewback or not ? Remarks and critics are always welcome. Also, do not hesitate to take a look at the results topic, with the other entries (DanSto presented his own here), and the Bricksafe gallery of this MOC.
  18. For the 12-th TechLUG Star Wars contest, I have build a modular armored troup transport All-Terrain Dewback-Transport (AT-DT). INTRODUCTION The goal of the contestis to build an All-Terrain walker inspired by the morphology of a Dewback restricted to a total length of 48 studs. I decided to participate after having imagined to use the tail as a toboggan to deploy the clone soldiers. In order to get a more easy to build model and to have more playability, I built it in a modular way. THE BASIC MODULES Schematically, the walker is divider into 3 modules connected by a standardized fixation using pins; each module having its own energy source contained into multicolour cylinders. 1. The forward module consists in the cockpit head, the forward section of the body holding the forward legs. The large windscreen (taken from a Slave One) insures maximal visibility for the pilots without having to move the head to much. Even if the AT-DT is not an offensive engine, it is lightly armored with laser canon located at the eyes and at the tongue which includes also a flamethrower. The pilots can be easily taken out of the cockpit by removing all their support The small neck includes 3 rotation axis and one forward/backward translation movement in order to get the head as close as possible to the body. The legs are fully articuled with 2 perpendicular free axis at the ankle, a ball based articulation for the knee and a single axis using a Technic Rotation Joint Disk at the shoulder. Following the official AT line, I have use the usual shape for the feets and the serigraphied dishes covering the articulation. The middle module which is the womb of the AT-DT transporting the troups on two levels having a removal back and folding lateral panels. This module can be adapted to the needs of the battle but I show the troups carrier version which allows to 23 clone soldiers to be "confortably" transported. The upper level, which can be accessed by removing the back, has 14 seets looking backwards into the direction of the tail-toboggan. The lower level is completely empty and the clone soldier are carried by a "flatspeeder" which is a light carrier up to 8 occupants and a pilot. Additionnal or larger pictures : https://www.flickr.c...57649263056875/ 3. The backward module include the back legs and the folding tail-toboggan. The main structure is similar to the first module with a 3 studs wide passage for the clone soldier. The tail-toboggan has a folding part giving acces to the ramp of the toboggan. Additionnal or larger pictures : https://www.flickr.c...57648843856169/ THE BASIC AT-DT When assembled, these 3 modules form the basic AT-DT being 47.5 studs long whith the head pushed to the body. The walker can mainly adopt two stable positions ! - the high position with straight legs : it is used during the maintaining and at the end of the movement when one lateral side is unfolded. - the low position with bent legs where the abdomen is nearly touching the ground : it is used when the At-DT is static on the battlefield when the soldiers get out of ot. Additionnal or larger pictures : https://www.flickr.c...57649250270561/ ADDITIONNAL MODULE In order to show the flexibility of the modular building, I have build a small additionnal module integrating the long canon of the AT -TE with the clone completely protected inside the walker. It has to be inserted between the first and the second module. Additionnal or larger pictures : https://www.flickr.c...57646932536283/ VIRTUALLY ON THE BATTLEFIELD The soldiers are getting out using the tail-toboggan : Priority to the right or not . Additionnal or larger pictures : https://www.flickr.c...57649263129375/ CONCLUSION Even if two middle modules could be assembled to increase the number of transported soldiers, the short legs limit the speed and the mobility. This why the AT-AT has been developed. Hope you enjoy this model. If you read french and/or are interested into the others AT-DT made for the contest, do not hesitate to have a look to the corresponding the TechLUG forum section on the topic starting with [CONCOURS 12].
  19. This model is a direct evolution of the wolf. Here's a lil something I've been cooking up so far in LDD: So far the lower part should be functional. The legs are built in such manner, they are always parallel to the ground/each other. The four LAs are for lifting and lowering the entire machine: In order to walk the special system of cams is set in suc hammer that the legs are always 180 degrees apart: In order to steer and help by walking each of the feet also has a turntable in order to rotate the whole model in its...erm toes? And to keep the model balanced the (here not connected) 9L links tilt the upcomming body in such manner the weight is aways at the extended leg. The tilting is controlled by forward moving functions of the legs and cannot be out of sync: So far I used 5M motors for 3 functions: 1M motor to walk 2M motors to lift both legs 2M motor to rotate feet - they dont have to be independent as usually there is always one feet on the ground I still plan to use 5 more M motors for: 1M motor for rotating the upper superstructure 2M motors to lift/lower arms 2M motors for the arms upcoming functions (grab/shoot) So what'ya guys think?

    CAP-2 Captivator

Up next in my series of Kenner Mini-Rigs is the, CAP-2 Captivator. It was a small, one-man vehicle, designed to ambush and capture enemy personnel. It walked on two legs, with the pilot standing upright in a bubble-enclosed canopy. Two arms ending in claws extended from the front of the vehicle with a blaster mounted between them, and a large vice on the back held captives for transport. Its feet contained sensors for spying on its prey. There is a fair amount of SNOT in the model. Using the 2x2 Macaroni Bricks proved to be too small for the cockpit, but, using 4x4 Curved Bricks was too big. So, I had to figure how to use these: These provided the right amount of room for a pilot, but, also made the model a little too big. But, I still think it is small enough to pass as a Mini-Rig. Roomy?! Plenty of room for a pilot to fit! The idea of having a claw/ vice on the back to hold prisoners, seemed a little odd to me. So, I made a holding chamber in the back of the model for those pesky Rebelscum. Just enough room for Rebel troops to fit. This model has 224 pieces. The .lxf file is in my Brickshelf folder. Desert Sail Skiff tomorrow? Jamie

    [MOC] Steampunk walker

Hello. I'm new to Eurobricks. Might as well show off my creations This is a pibed walker made for one minifig. It took me ~a day to complete, and it was a very fun build! It's harder than it looks to get the legs in it's right position at this scale to make it look good, but also to make it stand upright well enough. Please comment about what you think. Please do check my other sites as well!! (and follow me!) Instagram Flickr Reddit
  22. Guys & Gals, Here's a Theo Jansen inspired strandbeest (walker) with 24 legs. It's crankshaft has six points (not 4) like most builders use. It walks pretty well. I'm working on the building instructions which is taking quite a while. I have some learning to do on LDD and LDraw and etc. But here is a still photo and a youtube video.
  23. I have always had a fondness for the AT-AT, and even after three attempts by LEGO to release oneI've still been left unsatisfied. Hence, my AT-AT MOC. It features a fully detailed interior with a cockpit holding 2 drivers, a commander with periscope, and room for 2 more figures, seating for 18 troops in a double decker main body, detailed drive section, storage for 2 speeder bikes in the lower vehicle bay, opening side access hatches and a lower hatch fro recreating Luke's lightsaber and grenade attack on a walker from ESB. The cheek guns rotate, and the legs are fully poseablewith articulated upper and lower hip joints, knees, ankles with 2 dimensions of range of motion, and toe flaps. The exterior, interior, and underside are highly detailed, having used photos of the movie models and the book Star Wars Complete Cross Sections to design and build the MOC. Any feedback is appreciated! http://mocpages.com/moc.php/379645
  24. LEGO still hasn't produced a decent AT-ST in minifigure scale, so I tackled the project and created my own. As usual, I used numerous available photos of the various movie models (it differed between those used in ESB and ROTJ), and the book Star Wars Complete Cross Sections. The interior holds two walker pilots with room for a third and an opening upper hatch, rotating cheek blaster and concussion missile launcher, elevating chin double cannons, rotating cockpit "head", and fully poseable legs with articulated upper and lower hips joints with 2 dimenions of range of motion, knees, ankles, and toes. Any feedback is greatly appreciated! http://mocpages.com/moc.php/379389

    [MOC] AT-ST 3.0

After disassembling most of my sets, the only vehicle that I kept built was the AT-ST from the battle of endor set, but I realized how flimsy it looked to me and even though I moded it I was not satisfied and since I totally dislike play features and useless mechanisms like that silly "walking" function I started to work with my new surplus of bricks and came up with this one, a combination of characteristics of other walkers like the previos versions of the AT-ST and the latest AT-RT, what I wanted was to make it sturdier and mostly brick built, so without further ado, here it is: P1010003 por Nom Carver, en Flickr P1010010 por Nom Carver, en Flickr P1010018 por Nom Carver, en Flickr P1010027 por Nom Carver, en Flickr more details on my flickr:
