  1. With the year end only a couple of months away, it is time to look towards 2022 for some of the new sets that will be launching once spring rolls around. According to a multiple sources, the next vehicle to get the LEGO Creator Expert treatment will be none other than the quintessential scooter brand, The Vespa! From what we gather, it would not be a current model but the classic one without the side mirrors. It is rumored to be given a mint green paint job and will come with brick built accessories like helmets, flower, a newspaper tile and a bag. It is pegged to be €99.99 but the piece count has not been confirmed yet. The launch date is slated for February which means we should see some official images at the turn of the new year. LEGO ReBrick Contests

I couldn't find a dedicated thread, so please feel free to move this comment to the appropriate thread if I have failed in my extensive search to find the correct thread to post this in. If there isn't one, may I suggest this as a general but official LEGO contests thread? Therefore, please feel free to add an appropriate pinned comment regarding this topic's remit... certainly something better worded anyway. To my issue/point/problem... I have been trying to upload an entry to one of LEGO ReBrick's contests all day. I've tried on my iPad and my old Kindle Fire. My four image files are easily below the largest file threshold, in fact, the combined size of my four images is below 2Mb. I'm adding only three tags as outlined and have tried with and without spaces after the commas. Each time I manage to press submit after the preview I get the error message that "oops!" I need to check my file sizes or my tags. Has anyone else experienced similar problems or have any advice? I've alerted the admin in a comment that will get moderated in 1-2 working days but I'm feeling a bit impatient and wondered if anyone else was experiencing difficulties and therefore confirming the problem being LEGO's website and not my hardware.
  3. From moderator "WhiteAlligator": "After much consideration, a very difficult decision has been reached that the Mods need to share with you all. The LEGO.com Message Boards will be retired on March 6, 2017. The entire community, including all forums and all content within them, will be taken offline permanently." "Just like a LEGO set, theme, game, or site nothing can last forever. In order to make way for the exciting features of the future we must occasionally retire older features. That is the current case with the message boards." "The Mods would like to thank you all for being such amazing community members. Every forum is filled with creative, inspiring, and exciting writings thanks to you! We truly appreciate the passion each of you has contributed to this community and hope that LEGO passion will carry through this transitional time." So what do you think and how do you about this decision?
  4. I'm as susceptible as anyone to "the cult of the new" when it comes to minifigures and bigfigs, prone to oohing and ahhing over LEGO's latest creations. But sometimes I don't get that feeling and find older versions better than newer ones. Here are some examples: This is my favourite Joker (though with the big smile on the double printed head, not the smirk pictured), not the forthcoming one. And here is the Hulk I like most, not this one that came out a year later. I like this Spider-Man more than this one despite it being 10 years older. The ghosts I prefer are this one followed by this one. The more recent CMF one is cool too and I have one in my display collection with a different head, but the ones with the white shrouds are top of my list of phantoms. I realise that these preferences are entirely subjective and that opinions will vary, but was wondering what older versions or minifigures, bigfigs and moulded creatures other FOLs prefer to newer versions. Are there any that have disappointed you or do you always like the latest ones most?
  5. Hi guys. I was playing around with some Marvel parts and made this purist Iron Patriot. I'm in NZ so the official one won't be possible for me to get/afford. Hope you guys find some use with it. Head: Rhodey head with Iron Man helmet and War Machine visor/mask. Torso: Captain America Torso. Wais/legst: Dark red waist with dark blue legs. Here are a couple of photos: -KingPixels
