  1. Following the events of The LEGO Movie 2, and using the proceeds of his and Lucy's film careers, Emmet got to work on building Lucy and himself their dreamhouse again. They made it a little bigger, a little better, and a lot stronger... just in case of any future Duplo attacks. It also features an attic for extra storage space. Unikitty lives in the house too, and has made the unused attic space her personal play-place. The MOC's color scheme was heavily inspired by set 70831 - Emmet's Dream House/Rescue Rocket. The building itself (not the furniture) was originally inspired by this Rebrickable MOC by user MIJbricks. The rear of the house features a chimney flue. The model also opens up like a dollhouse up to 90 degrees, and locks shut on a technic pin. On the front half's lower level is the living room, with record player, writing desk and couch. Upstairs is the bed, lamp, and a huge cabinet. The attic is Unikitty's play-place. (She seems really happy to see you!) In the rear half (lower level) is the kitchen table and fireplace. Upstairs is a vanity and Planty. Pictures of Emmet and Lucy are on the wall as well. Alas, it seems the house already has a Duplo infestation... In addition to the manor house, I'm also got a black version of set 40448 - Vintage Car (from Ideas) for Emmet and Lucy to drive around in. I absolutely HATED those loose-fitting surfboards on the sides, so I've created a easy workaround. Some other things have been changed in certain places, such as those eight 1x1 double curved slopes have been replaced with the new 1x4 version for added strength. I originally wanted to do the car in red, but the wheel arches are sadly stupid expensive in regular red. Blue was also an option, until I learned one of the 1x1 brackets needed are not available in that color yet. Thus, black was my only remaining choice. Thoughts? EDIT 9/14/22: real life pictures added, and text updated.
  2. (When the base and any other digital creations are built in real life, I will add those pictures into this page.) This is the beginning of a journey through the wormhole to a mini-figure called Benny and a civilization on the cusp of greatness. His continuing mission: to seek out new lifeforms, to explore unknown worlds, all in the name of of science and awesomeness. The year is 1980-something, the name of the theme is Classic Space. Classic Space fortress walls The base as it was ordered... will post a picture of the complete setup when built in real life. Here is the front gate of my space base to let the train (or road vehicles) through. It can safely open and close still using the HoG (Hand of God) method without impacting the flow of 9v current (still need to add those 9v tracks..) through the rails... though I wouldn't suggest driving through it with the door closed! This is one of twelve walls sections, held together with the other modules by four Technic pins.(two on each side) This is one of four of the corner modules. I redesigned these since last time to be less parts intensive and have fewer gaps in the wall. Astro Bot Recharge / Repair bay The inspiration behind this large robot-recharge port model is mainly inspired by the mech repair bay from 2006 set 7709. (Sentai Fortress) from Exo Force. I can attach the robot to a small mound behind each foot, where it holds it there by two studs per heel. The dark gray thin sidewall pieces located on three sides of the foot make sure Astro Bot 33 won't wiggle side-to-side and disengage from his charge port prematurely. The wall supports the mech repair bay and also gives me another two brand-new wall sections (in length) in for the base to play with at the same time! Classic Space HQ / Benny's skyscraper - 76038 MOD This building was inspired by my brother's take on set 6398, Central Precinct HQ. He added a back staircase module (which I have removed in favor of an older 2015 Avengers tower-inspired model / MOC I made a couple weeks back), while I removed the prison cell and changed the color scheme from white and black to blue and white with trans-yellow glass. The windows and doors were also modernized, and the large spinning sensor array added to the roof. I've also added connectors to the main base walls, which means the building is fully integrated into my Classic Space base. As previously stated, the rear was inspired by set 76038, Attack on Avengers Tower, from the Age of Ultron movie. This ultimately meant that the 1990's-style model's floors had to be stretched upwards by two bricks each in height to match the newer model's floor-plan. I really like the sleek wraparound window on the top floor of the building, as it is where personal Benny's office is. He gets to look out on the space base, and marvel at how things have changed since his creation in 1984. The right side wall opens up to reveal the inside of the building. Ground floor is official meeting space, second and third floors are for monitoring the radio telescope and other such devices across the galaxy. Fourth floor is the break room, while the fifth floor is Benny's personal office. (Note: On the outdoor patio on floor three is the monument to Jens Nygaard, the gone-but-not-forgotten creator of Classic Space.) The rear tower folds open for access too, and like the side wall, locks shut on a Technic pin. Here you can also see Benny's desk. Lunar Crater Crawler vehicle This model is based off 60192 (Arctic Ice Crawler) from the 2018 CITY Arctic theme, this MOD is called the Lunar Crater Crawler and moves boulders with it's larger gripping claw tool. It can seat one fully-suited astronaut figure. It also has printed controls in front of the space seat. Floodlights sit on the sides of the craft, allowing you to see on the dark side of the moon, while there is a clip for a handheld radio should you need to contact the command base. The rear should feature the Classic Space logo on a 4x2 slope, while a bumblebee stripe printed 1 x 2 tile goes above the logo. This printed pieces will be applied in real life once it's built. Lunar Armored Marauder hover-transporter The new set 75311 (Imperial Armored Marauder) has been transformed into a Classic Space version, complete with revised forward-facing side guns. All the hatches still open, but I couldn't use space seats inside this one, but there are plenty (four per vessel) of 2x2 modified tiles with just enough room for air-tanks in the model... at least I hope that will be the case! The rear of the Marauder. I just need to buy two copies of my digital file as shown, as that's at least $15 total cheaper than buying two sets and recoloring them after the fact. Any thoughts on this MOD? Classic 1950's Moonraker automobile Inspired by this recent @hachiroku build here, I have completed this new early 1950's car for Benny, who seems pretty happy with it. Looks pretty classy, right? The two doors open, but the obligatory black space seat is missing, because any more height and Benny would not fit inside. The rear has a license plate, the classic space logo, and two coverings partially obscuring the rear wheels. The roof is held on by four studs, and is as such removable. As a courtesy to the driver instead of the space seat, I have included a light bluish gray upholstery for the back of the seat. Classic 1980's Security Forces Jeep (x2) This model was heavily inspired by set 75916: Dilophosaurus Ambush from the first series of Jurassic World sets. I have turned that jeep into a Classic Space vehicle by subtracting most of the features and adding the CS logo to this piece on the trunk and a space seat for the driver. This CS version has a trans-yellow windscreen and a revised roll-cage. The rear of the vehicle has a spare tire, license plate and tail-pipe while the roll-cage folds back to allow for you to place the driver in the seat. Cosmic Explorer This is a heavily modified set 70816 (Benny's Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP!) to features a new canopy from set 75176 (Resistance Transport pod) for the front windscreen, plus a rear turret that elevates and rotates in lieu of the radar dish and repair robots. To match the new canopy, the crew quarters were enlarged and opening roof remade, but the wings still fold out via the same Technic mechanism as in the original set 70816. More recently, I added a new nose to the ship inspired by DC comics set 76028. (Darkseid Invasion) The rear of the ship features the three main engines. The sensor array that was once near here was replaced by a four-barrel repeating laser turret that can rotate a full 360 degrees and elevate to 180 degrees, allowing for cover fire in almost any direction. The wings fold out if the center engine is pushed inwards, ready for the foam-tipped missiles to be engaged and aimed at any Blacktron III enemies... I did remove those yellow missiles, as they were too touchy and could fire accidentally. The main canopy has been heavily modified to allow for crew to go between the engineering and navigation sections without having to exit the ship. The Unikitty-seat area was replaced with a opening canopy for the engineering and fire-control crew to see outside from their stations near the Imagination Reactor. Deep Space Fighters These ships are deep space fighters of the Galaxy-class. Each seat one figure and have enhanced hyper-drive making it nearly as fast as LL-929. (Benny's spaceship) This ship was designed to be a heavily-armed fighter, and features an enclosed cockpit allowing for long distance travel such as from system to system if in an emergency. The rear of each of the two ship's features two engines made up of four smaller rockets. Here is the cockpit, which can seat 1 pilot figure per ship. Interstellar Frigate I really like this ship and have since I first saw it, I just had to wait for the instructions for set 75293 (Resistance IT-S Transport from Star Wars) to come out to make sure it could be built in real bricks with the changes I had in mind. (which were quite a lot!) I'm so glad I chose to do it in LDD first before just buying random bricks, as it required SO many modifications to the design (including an actual windscreen and extended cargo bay!) and changing other colors, that I would have been completely lost just swapping parts out at random. The eight engines are attached in a completely different way to the set design, as 2 x 4 bricks with three Technic holes going straight down don't exist in LDD. This new design was the only suitable way to get them to work on the ship in a very tight space. Also, I added double raised fins to the rear of the ship, for that extra retro '80's space flair. The cargo bay is quite spacious for troops or freight as it has been elongated by four studs from the set's original length. (You can see it is loaded with five yellow space-crates above) The roof of the cargo bay comes off, while the landing ramps fold up / down for loading or unloading of cargo / security personnel. The front of the ship has a space seat for a single pilot with two large laser forward-facing cannons. The pilot's cabin also features actual controls and a real front windscreen. (unlike the stickers and tiles in the original set!) The cockpit roof folds away, just as it did in the original set, which you can partially see here. K8-E the robot dog - Benny's best friend After meeting the Doctor (Who?) and his K-9 (pronounced Canine) unit, Benny decided he wanted a pet. So he bought himself a retired space police bot named K8-E (it's pronounced Katy) who helps Benny with his maintaining his SPACESHIP! and home base of the fleet. The two robot dogs eventually teamed up to sabotage a Blacktron and Dalek peace treaty from being signed, thus keeping the Universe safe from their plans for conquest for the moment. K8-E even took a laser shot from the Blacktron secondary leader, saving K-9 from being killed in the midst of them leaving the self-destructing Dalek ship. When reunited with Benny and the Doctor a short while later, the robot dog was fixed up and given the nod of approval from the Doctor, and a happy farewell from K-9, who left with the Doctor in the TARDIS to go to parts unknown looking for the Daleks fleeing from their loss at the hands of K8-E & K-9. From then on, K8-E has been keeping Benny company while awaiting the return of K-9 and the Doctor. K8-E is actually modified from set 8399 (K-9 Bot), which is a 2009 Space Police III set. Astro-Bot 33 - Classic Space's Giant Robot You may ask yourself: "Why would the Classic Space fleet want a giant robot?" The answer is a simple one: "Who in their right mind wouldn't want a giant freaking robot!?!?!" This Classic Space version of Build Better Bricks' Iron Giant with the head of the previous @hachiroku version of the model's head added on. (consider it a mashup of the two Iron Giant models!) I made it into CS colors (black, light / dark grays and blue) with red and green light parts, and two yellow / black bumblebee stripe tiles. The rear of the robot. The 4 x 2 slopes on the arms are supposed to have this print. The mouth now can open to allow for posing... but unfortunately, it doesn't play nice with the shoulders, so the mouth must remain closed until I can figure out a better solution. Another thing that didn't work well was the rotating waist: it operated too jerkily and was hard to operate, so I removed that feature. Conveyex Crawler-Transporter This is a heavily modified Classic Space version of 2018 Star Wars set 75217 (Imperial Conveyex Transport). It's length has been doubled and the visible weapons have been removed, to make more room for passengers. Behind the trans-yellow glass of the former cargo-cars are seats, so that workers can get to Benny's space base without driving in themselves. (Call it a commuter light-railroad system, without the "rail" part!) The vehicle can be shortened or lengthened in modular sections depending on the needs of the specific mission, but in this particular case it has two crawler engine units, and two cargo hauler segments that can easily detach for maintenance or to drop more segments in / out. On each of the engine units is the dual drivers compartments, located on either side of the tread behind the square openings. Each car seat four figures, meaning the whole train hauls eight people (+ their air-tanks!). ....and yes, two of the handles on the doors are upside-down in all the pictures. Classic Space figures These are all my Classic Space figures. The thirteen green figures are the soldiers of the group, while while the six red suited people are scientists. The three blue figures are Benny (in helmet), Penelope (with pigtails), and Unikitty who are the officers of the group. The two other figures, (the red android and the robo-dog) are T-3PO, who serves as the translator to other species and computer systems, while the robo-dog is K8-E who happens to be Benny's personal pet / security guard. The astronauts you see here are the famous "Lost Six". These half-dozen brave souls were with Benny in 1988 when the space station they were on was ambushed by Blacktron I forces and blasted into a black hole. Benny managed to escape the station before it entered the gravity field, but only just in the nick of time. (He could not reach his ship mates due to a computer error with the hatch systems.) Benny's suit was damaged in the escape, and he still wears it like that to this day as a reminder of his failure to get his crew off in time. This is the last picture of the Lost Six, with Benny out of frame because he took the picture. (He was supposed to be in the picture, but he forgot to set the timer on that take.) Will we ever see these brave men and women again? Only time will tell! Meet AstroKitty (in blue) and PuppyNaut (in white)! I've had AstroKitty built like this since 2014 when I got Benny's Spaceship (x3) from the original LEGO Movie line. I had to find a novel solution to the head-falling-off problem. (double the body width and pretend it's a bigger spacesuit) I was very sad to see Lego never released a blue one of the upside-down 1 x 3 tile parts with hole used in the newer Unikitty! sets seen around 2018 to correct this error. I did, however, note the new arrival of Puppycorn, Unikitty's energetic younger brother from the TV show and was disappointed to see he never had a Classic Space variant, besides the "Alien" version. (which I don't count as actually being Puppycorn.) So, in short, I made one from his Dalmatian costume, made to be double wide like AstroKitty. Sadly, there is no Classic Space logo on Puppynaut, as there is on Astrokitty. (This drives my OCD nuts!) ...oh, and they have headlamps on both their helmets, to provide light in dark environments and a convenient hole for the unicorn horn to fit into. I have used what was left of the word astronaut as originally worded by LEGO, as in ASTRO goes with KITTY; so thus PUPPY gets hitched to NAUT. Thus, we get PUPPYNAUT to describe him. EDITED 5/21/21 added some newer models to the post. As usual, Comments, questions and complaints are always welcome!
  3. Just because you see a parked train on one track doesn't mean another one isn't barreling closer on another track... See tracks - think train!* This was the inspiration for my Lego picture. It came from the 1995 BNSF calendar, featuring steam loco Frisco 1522 and BNSF diesel 1506. (Photo of the calendar by Kenny Wolff from Facebook's Friends of Frisco 1522 group.) Any thoughts? *As a disclaimer, this photo is not endorsed by Operation LifeSaver, and no Unikitties or Snails were harmed in the making of this ad.

  6. Every beginning of the year, I look forward to new LEGO sets and buy those I think I can build Transformers from. Usually a set or two from LEGO Creator fits the bill. And sometimes Ninjago too (sets with dragons). When I first set my eyes of LEGO Movie 2: Set 70827 Ultrakitty and Warrior Lucy .. I knew prospects were pretty high there. I delayed my purchase until recently when I saw one to the tune of 20% off retail price. Well, he's named Razorkatty because he shared similar color scheme as Razorclaw. Robot Mode! He's very articulated for something built from a single LEGO set. Leftover parts from the set were used to build a Squid-like rifle for him to hold. As usual... more photos in my blog link below: https://alanyuppie.blogspot.com/2019/06/lego-transformer-razorkatty-from-set.html Building Instructions will probably arrive a week from now ! Shall keep you guys updated!
  7. Here is my video review on 70848 Systar Party Crew: THE GOOD: Stardust Benny! Can't believe they actually made it. Unikitty boa scarf, seriously I now wonder why the left out the cape for the wedding ver. Batman. Printed keyboard tiles! THE NOT SO GOOD: The speaker is a bit lame especially given just one. For people in Australia and NZ, this is pretty hard to get. This is actually a great character pack! Stardust benny itself worth the money! And this set is actually good value. On top of that you also get 2 printed keyboard tiles! Unikitty boa scarf is great too, it's unbelievably soft! (LEGO, please give us the cape for the wedding Batman!) . I actually like the dance floor too. Other accessories are kinda miss but parts are always useful. Recommend this to everyone!
  8. This is my fleet of vehicles for Unikitty and friends. Story line for this theme so far: The surviving denizens of the fall of Cloud Cuckoo Land are living in a enclosed space castle ship floating in the asteroid field that used to be their former home planet. They are also sending out space ships to search for a new home and the long-lost "Crown of the Clouds", a powerful relic from an time long past that will supposedly help guide them to a new era of prosperity and safety. Unikitty sends her brother Prince Puppycorn to obverse these efforts from the Sunshine V, a medium-size space cruiser. He succeeds in finding the Crown, but as he is not the destined user (Unikitty is), he cannot wear it without dire consequences. So as he speeds back to the castle, he is intercepted by space pirates trying to get the Crown for their own evil purposes. Luckily, Puppycorn stashes the crown in an escape pod and sets the hyper-space coordinates for a place he can trust just before he is captured. Master Frown (Unikitty's former friend-enemy from times past) sees this happen from his own ship, (as he hadn't been home when Lord Business attacked on that black day, so he didn't know what happened to them and had been left behind.) Anyway, Master Frown hides from the pirates and carries back to Unikitty the message that Puppycorn, his ships, and the Crown have been captured. Unikity blasts the castle off into space, and into battle with the pirates with the rest of her fleet at her side. Even the citizens man the guns of the castle itself, beating the pirates and saving Puppycorn who tells Unikitty where the crown was headed via hyper-space. Meanwhile, Benny the 1980-something space guy opens a crashed space pod near his moon base and pulls out a shiny gold crown... This is a modified version of the 2009 version of the Tantive IV. (set 10198) I renamed the cruiser the Sunshine V and changed the auxiliary colors to teal and medium azure, with a splash of shades of two kinds of pink in several places. The eleven engines now have trans-pink exhaust to match the fighter ships. The main body's roof still comes off, as does the cargo area's top section, but the escape pods are sealed tight. (Changes in the design of the pods were needed due to prices of the necessary parts in white.) Also, Puppycorn or Unikitty can sit at the desk, but only while the roof is removed. The two pilots get the ship where it needs to go. They can stay in the seats with the canopy closed, but only just barely. These are two slightly modified set 70830 (Sweet Mayhem's Systar Starship!) space fighters. They have a different mini-doll pilot in each, but I forgot to take a picture of those figures. The two ships are identical, in that each has a prison for potential detainees on one side and a area for survival equipment (usually dual blasters) / a space for hair when the helmet is worn on the other. The space castle of the Unikingdom floats in a bubble of air on a rocky chunk, surrounded by the smashed remains of Cloud Cuckoo Land. (in actuality, it is a modified set 70838, Queen Watevra's ‘So-Not-Evil' Space Palace) It is a rocket in of itself, and carries on it at-least four smaller fighters of two distinct sizes. If all else fails, the top spire and the fusion reactor (which is placed on the top of the castle in a shielded enclosure) ejects off the castle to begin a countdown to become a black hole emitter, while the castle denizens get away on the smaller ships / other transports. This will (theoretically) destroy all bad guy ship in the vicinity while leaving the good ships safe from harm outside the event horizon. The lowest floor has the security desk, making sure every one is who they say they are and going where they need to be. This floor also has the snack bar and mailbox nearby. The second floor is Unikitty's throne room, with balconies off to the left and right side. The fusion reactor is under this protective dome. That's all I got so far... what do you guy's think?

  10. Hi folks, I'm making this compilation by using pictures taken from bricklink as I don't have them in my stash. I do sincerely hope this list will help you in collecting these cute Unikitties ever produced. Enjoy! These are the angry ones. I started sorting them using red. It seems like they are still cute here but SDCC version would be hard to get. Then green, purple and blue. The first one from the left is in the large Sea Cow. Others should be easier to get. Colourfully printed unikitties! Here I found that the one from the double decker couch had two expressions but I can't find any coding for that in bricklink. Oh, another SDCC... Lastly these are mostly from the Unikitty sets which is quite easy to obtain and their prices are not bad in bricklink. Special thanks to @julesvincent and @TeriXeri for pointing them out and the pictures. I added this one. Notice the CMF unikitty in LEGO Movie 2 CMF series is a brand new unikitty as I can't see any similar one among old unikitties. The closest one would be tlm081 the SDCC one but the new one has a bigger mouth opening. We have a wolverine wanabe unikitty and a large ultrakatty. Do comment below if I left out any! This is the review of the Minifigure Unikitty Series 1 by the great cmf reviewer @WhiteFang. Hope you like this compilation!

    SDCC Apocalypseburg Unikitty review

I've recently acquired the SDCC-exclusive Apocalypseburg Unikitty for a comparatively reasonable price on bricklink and decided to post a short review on here since apparently there hasn't been one up to now (search function please don't fail me now!). Usually, I just skip the SDCC exclusive minifigs as most sensible people do (one day, they'll all be MINE though). The only current exception are the movie related ones, I simply lack the force of will to resist those Luckily, they're on the "cheap" end of the SDCC exclusives most of the time... Without further ado, let's take a look at the packaging: As with the SDCC Unikitty from 2014, the parts are neatly sealed in a bag that for some reason doesn't contain any replacement parts (not that I'd need those, they'd be as common as angry comments in a random youtube video's comment section ). Speaking of angry: I dig the artwork on the back of the packaging even though a lot of the space is taken up by the copyright and trademark info. It has to on there somewhere, I guess, or the IP owners might get really upset I think it's also quite humorous how the packaging refers to the two facial expressions as "angry" and "rage". Quite fitting though, as shall be revealed... Those are some angry facial expressions, alright. If you thought previous versions were angry, you haven't seen these Looks almost like me whenever of my cats "helps" me with assembling a LEGO set or whenever I open the latest newspaper The "set" if you can call it that (technically, you can?) didn't include any instructions, but I managed to build it nonetheless, haven't felt so proud of myself in a long time </obviously obvious sarcasm>. The build was like any version of Unikitty except for the not-so-subtle arrow on the side which is attached with a bracket and a modified 1x1 plate (both in reddish brown). As was discussed in the LEGO Movie 2 thread back when the figure was first revealed, the neck is still attached the old way instead of how it's done in the Unikitty! sets. No big issue though, it's not like you would ever in a billion years let a kid play with this... which gets sadder the more I think about that. On a angrier happier note, the new spiked tail piece looks superb and is very neatly printed, can't wait to see if it gets used in similar creative fashions as the first one was. In order to show off compare the two SDCC Unikitty versions, I also took a shot of them next to one another: And finally, here's a picture of the whole happy angry family: In conclusion, I really appreciate this version of Unikitty with its unique prints and the new spiked tail which will surely make at least one if not multiple appearances in the LEGO Movie 2 sets. Too bad this is an exclusive since these two expressions are really cool to have and I can't imagine the other expressions included in the set version(s) being as good as these. Let's hope I'm wrong... or get angry

  13. Winter Village: Uni-kitty is com-ing, to town! As I was starting this build Unikitty came along and screamed, "That's MY house!!!" From that point on I felt like a snowball rolling down a hill. So, she moved in, added a dance floor, decorated for the holidays (Unikitty style), then threw a 'Welcome to my New Home' party. She couldn't wait to try out ice skating. While others from the North Pole and Winter Village are visiting, poor Larry is working again this year, this time DJing. In the living room, Unikitty has hung up her stocking. While on the top floor, she put in a dance floor, complete with disco ball. Inside visitors enjoy the treats Unikitty has laid out, while warming themselves at the fire. Only kids and Unikitty see nothing strange about ice cream in winter. Unikitty's 'Welcome to my New House' party
  14. This model was heavily inspired by A Plastic Infinity / Arcane Sweetie Belle's old (2012-ish) build, as seen here on Flickr. I took the basic design of the ship seen there and added newer parts and an updated color-scheme. This Unidentified Flying Object is meant to be the space ship of two of the Unikitty! CMF Alien Puppycorn figures' species. The ship without the figures. The trans yellow cones are simple forward-fixed laser weapons, but don't be deceived: they are only part of the defense grid on this ship! The rear of the ship features two engines, while the lime green 2 x 2 round tiles on the hinged tail are supposed to have this print here for a national symbol. The cockpit can seat two pilot figures and the roof is quite tall, so their unicorn horns can fit. The cockpit hinges to allow access to the inside to place the figures at the controls. The pilots of the ship, as best I could recreated in LDD. They are supposed to be two of these figures here. As usual, any comments, questions, suggestions and / or complaints are welcome. I plan on building the ship in real life after getting my final Classic Space models in order later this year / early 2019, but the alien figures are already on the way right now.

    MOC: RoboKitty

Hi everyone. This is just a quick MOC of UniKitty as a robot that I made using the dark gray tail from the Detective's Office. It's not much, but I thought I'd share it. I hope you like it. RoboKitty by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr
  16. The Unikitty blind bags are £3.50 in the UK, where the CMF are £3. Not news I know, but a little pricey I think. Interesting - will you buy these? Photos: https://imgur.com/a/feholS5

    UCS Unikitty (MOC)

It's everyone's favorite unicorn-kitten princess, Unikitty! The breakout star from The LEGO Movie recently got her own cartoon show and I decided to make a giant sculpture of her. This is a 8:1 scale replica of the bipolar ruler of Cloud Cuckoo Land. The tail was the most difficult part to recreate and I'm not completely happy with it, but overall I think it turned out pretty good. You can turn her head, roll her eyes, pose her eye brows, and spin her horn. But best of all, the back of her head can be opened up to reveal a playset inside. This playset is a representation of Unikitty's mind. As we all know, her mind is all sunshine and rainbows, but she keeps her anger locked up deep inside a corner of her mind. When she gets angry, her angry self breaks out of its cage and unleashes her fury! I tried to build it out of existing parts so that I could potentially build it IRL if I felt like it. This is why I had to make the neck in lime green instead of cool green. I think the only part I used that doesn't exist in these colors is the light royal blue 1x1 cone at the top of the horn. So it is possible to build it for the most part, but I think it will be too much trouble tracking down all the parts in the correct colors. This was going to be an Ideas project, but sadly it was rejected due to it being based on a current IP. Thanks for looking, and remember: Stay positive!
  18. Hello all, I present to you my newest creation : Uni-kitty's Enchanted Castle. Featuring an excellent fruit juice and salad/sandwich bar on the ground floor, with penguin slide and waterfall, pineapples and general craziness. The castle was designed by Uni-kitty one day when he smoked too much of a special plant. He's growing this plan on top of one of his castle turrets. To be a bit more serious, I've combined two of Cloud cuckoos palace, together with the Friends fruit juice bar and also several friends animal packs. What do you think? PS - "too many colours' nu uh it's meant to be crazy :)
  19. Since it is the season, I thought we needed a custom Unikitty, so I present Christmas Unikitty: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/pirzyk/MOCs/christmas_unikitty.jpg The face is modled after 3622pb057 from the SD Comi-con Exclusive set, with the artwork done by my SO. Then I took that artwork and cut out the vinyl pieces on my silhouette cutter and placing the pieces by hand. It is still a work in progress, I plan on covering up the orange on the tail with more white vinyl and figuring out how to make a white pom pom on the unicorn tip.

    [MOC] Aqua-Kitty

Seeing Oky's Steampunk Unikitty http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=139235 inspired me to make a Unikitty of my own. So allow me to introduce to you......... AQUA-KITTY!! Comes complete with wetsuit, mask, snorkel and flippers! The mask is made up of a red 2X3 plate in place of Unikitty's pink 1X3 plate, 2 1X2 Trans-Clear plates and 2 1X1 Trans-Clear plates make up the lens and a red 1X3 plate on the bottom. The snorkel is made of a round 1x1 plate and 1x1 plate with clip holding a tommy gun which I thought would be best for the snorkel as the magazine can be used as the clip that attatches the tube to the mask and it's also at an angle as snorkels tend to be. And finally topped off with a lightsaber handle for the top of the snorkel. Now for an undersea shot! I hope i've put this in the right forum..... Please let me know what you think. Thank you!
  21. Hi everyone. Ever since Lego started producing the Unikitty tail in more colors, it has been a small project of mine to come up with a way to use them for custom Unikitties. My first Unikitty MOC was Robokitty. This tail is from the Disney Castle which I built over the past weekend and seemed like a perfect fit for the steampunk theme. The result: Steampunk Kitty! 22. A Unikitty can never be big enough, pink enough, or sparkly enough. Well, here is my go at it. This MOC features a rotating head and sparkly eyes. A video is available . More information are available here.
  23. Here we see the first section of the Rebuilt Cloud Cuckoo Land. It was constructed by Princess Unikitty herself, with help from fellow master builders Benny the 1980-something space guy, Abraham Lincoln, and Joey the Snail. Abraham helped with the plans, which were subsequently thrown out the window (literally) in favor of building out of imagination. Needless to say, Lincoln was pretty upset, and decided to go the Theater to calm down... Anyway, Benny then brought in his friend the Doctor to help with the matter of turning Unikitty's M.C. Escher - style design into something more reasonable. Needless to say, reason lost out to bright colors and swirly disc-things. In summary, Unikitty and Joey built what you see here in about an hour-and-a-half of frantic building, finding cool parts and placing them in odd ways, plus adding force-shields so that the Fall of Cuckoo Land should never happen again. Here we see the ground floor.... wait a minute: Joey the Snail hopped into the frame at the last minute! Oh well, it's too late to change it now! Here we see a birds-eye view of the tower's top floor, the second floor, and the ground. Joey usually sits on the two jumpers on the ground floor, while Unikitty attaches to the jumper on the top floor. Here is a look behind the front wall... there really isn't much to look at! MY NOTES: Okay, so I bought set 70803 (Cloud Cuckoo palace) and modified it a bit. I don't have an LDD file, and couldn't tell you what remains from the original set and what I modified. Also, I wanted to wait until Buster the jalopy was finished, but that won't be for a couple weeks, so I posted it as-is. Oh, and the reason why Unikitty isn't in any photos is because she isn't finished... yet. Also: If you are wondering who buster the Jalopy is, please see this thread: http://www.eurobrick...owtopic=117454\ Comments and questions welcome!
  24. For a while now, Unikitty has been scouting out a new place to create Cloud Cuckoo Land anew. To do this she needs transportation, and so she had her friend Joey the snail help her find a new car, which happened to turn out to be Buster the vintage motor car. He doesn't drive very fast, but no-one minds: it's all about the journey to getting from point "A" to point "B" and having fun along the way. As an added bonus, Buster has been around the block a few times and knows all the best roadside attractions and sights to see along highways, back roads and dirt trails of the LEGO World. Plus, Buster has been modified to run on Unikitty's boundless imagination and cheery attitude so no longer do they have to stop for gasoline. Unfortunately, Buster has a very temperamental engine, so Joey volunteers as the Mechanic for their journeys across the LEGO landscape while they search for a new home. Here we see (from left to right) Buster the vintage motor car, Princess Unikitty, and Joey the Snail. Buster was originally in yellow as a version of Doctor Who's car "Bessie". I then added eyes one afternoon last week as a idea of "what if Bessie was living and could talk". I then decided Bessie would go better with Unikitty because she is a bit more whimsical than the Doctor. I also added the snail from the Cloud Cuckoo Land set as Bessie's (now repainted red and renamed Buster) mechanic. By the way: The name "Joey the snail" came from my Sister's old blog where she had a beanie-baby-like frog named Legs as the star of the blog with a guest star Joey the Snail appearing on the home page occasionally... she quit writing the blog about three years ago, and I appropriated Joey and placed the snail from the LEGO Movie set as him once it was revealed to keep it alive, in a way. Anyway, here is the rear view showcasing the seats for Unikitty (front) and Joey (rear) . You can also see the spare tire from here. Here is the LDD file, if anyone wants it: http://www.mocpages....1447963356m.lxf EDIT: This moc should be built after the doctor who set comes out, around the first week of December.
