  1. I took my last castle build and made some major changes. I added a drawbridge and put a moat around the castle. I changed the keep, and added a nice looking library/ tower. Added a market village inside the walls as well. And made the dark forest outside the castle with a watch tower. The first picture was an entry for summer joust. The rest of the castle follows, I probably should have put minifigures in the pics, but i always like to take pics without the minis so you can see more detail and not be distracted. 4. Hello everybody! I want to show you my first job - "Telehandler with the turntable." It is used for lifting, transporting and laying of various cargoes. Is the "C model" set Lego 42009. The inspiration here was this unit: I tried to convey the image, without being attached to detail. Features : - Lifting / lowering the legs (L engine ) ; - Rotating turret platform (L engine ) ; - Lifting / lowering the boom (L engine ) ; - Nomination of the second boom section (L engine ) ; - Lifting / lowering the fork ( hand) ; - Rotate the wheels ( by hand); - Opening / closing the cabin door. And here is my version: The model has an L engine with a transfer case. The biggest challenge in the construction was limited space for the transfer case, because most of the space in the bottom of the battery pack occupies. And here you can see how it works: Thank you for watching!

    [MOC] Vintage Space Memorial

In memory of the legendary achievements of the first Lego astronauts, Admiral Takayama from the Futuron-Starfleet has revealed a memorial plaque in the new space-flight museum. The plaque itself which was part of one of the first moon-bases and is - apart from some minor asteroid-impacts (actually Gerbil chewing marks!) in perfect condition for its age! The exhibit is called “A view back and a view forward” and features original artefacts, like the automatic short range sensor probe SRT-570 and a model of the legendary Type 928 Space Cruiser (which I took from the book Great Lego Sets: A visual History). The Admiral also took the occasion to also introduce the crew of the newly commissioned fast space-cruiser Andromeda, led by the legendary Captain McLane, who will soon depart for a deep space exploration mission. In her speech Admiral Takayama emphasised that it was always the spirit of the Futuron Federation to “explore new worlds and go boldly where no-one has been before”. More about the adventures of the Andromeda in the near future!

    Impetus, ISV

Impetus, ISV As a general rule, there is a rather conspicuous dislike toward ISVs and their captains. ISVs, or Independent Spacer's Vessels, are seen as relics of a bygone age, where space cowboys flew around the uncharted depths of space, discovering new planets and living for, well, independence. Today, there are only a few left, but they continue in that tradition of independence, with some using their freedom to engage in shady dealings, and others doing what they can to help those who cannot help themselves. And, of course, in their exploration of space, they occasionally run across aliens out to kill them, necessitating the occasional use of armaments... Just make sure you watch your back out there. Further photos can be found on flickr: https://www.flickr.c...157666125280434 Thanks for checking out this MOC, and please forgive any errors as this is only the second time I've done this, and the first was a complete bust.
  9. Modular truck attachment system (MTAS) is a standard I have designed and developed to allow various attachments and tools to be used on my LEGO Technic truck. This system provides for the flexibility to easily swap attachments on the truck, depending on the use of the truck at that time. The idea for this came about from my experience designing and building Unimog attachments which I have really enjoyed designing and building over the past few months. The truck features: - Hand of God steering - Opening cabin doors - Scissor Lift The first attachment for this is a modified Unimog attachment scissor lift. Over a period of time I will be converting more Unimog attachments to use with this and building new ones from scratch.

  11. I'm currently working on a Modular Hospital MOC in LDD. These are the results so far (rendered using BlueRender): Birds perspective: Front view: Inside view: About the model: The lower right wing will be a garage for an ambulance (hence the barrier on the sidewalk). On the opposite side, lower left, there is a gift shop with flowers, balloons and a teddy bear. Across the gift shop will be room for an elevator. At the main entrance (those are sliding doors) there is a reception/desk. The second floor contains a room with two hospital beds (one currently containing a patient). In the other wing an operation room is situated along with minifigs of a surgeon and a patient. The rest of the second floor I don't have planned yet! I'd like to hear your thoughts and comments Also, first post here! YAY!

    The Orangery (MOC)

About 2 years ago Mr. Eanair bought me #4439 - Heavy Lift Helicopter...I didn't really have any need for a helicopter in my town layout, but by playing around with the bricks a bit The Orangery was born. This building evolved bit by bit and no real planning went into it. I wanted it to look like an elegant Victorian orangery and loved the roof that the curved bricks created, so I only needed to add some cones and telescopes to add ornate detailing. The real key to achieving the look I wanted was the Decorated Arches - I love these soooo much. The back story is that it was originally the orangery of a stately home, but it has now become a very exclusive bar for my Lego towns VIPs (with added paparazzi lurking outside!!) The roof comes off for access to the interior - sorry for the pics it's very hard to get decent pics of such a small area! I'm not keen on the tan baseplate and I'll be changing to a grey one when including it in my layout. If you'd like to see more pictures, you'll find them on my blog here (apologies for the shameless whoring of the blog!!)

  16. Hello here's the 3rd of my TFA inspired Microfighter builds - Kylo Ren's Shuttle. H 10.5 x W 10 x D 10 studs in dimension and 111 pieces, though that could be brought down to 100 with a little less greebliness. It has pivoting wings, a tiny ramp and a couple of stealthy flickfires underneath - plus room for a pilot of course. Kylo or maybe a FO crew member would be more appropriate. It's a tricky ship to do in Microfighter style because the wings are so huge in comparison to the hull, there's really no option other than to scale them right down if you want to keep inside the 12 stud limit. When the wings are folded out it's obviously a lot wider and generally it looks just a little larger than most official MFs, though not completely out of scale. I did most of the design in LDD and then bricklinked the parts. As usual, real bricks meant for a couple of design changes but actually for the better. It's pretty sturdy and playable as long as you don't force the wings past the stops. I didn't even attempt to make the wings slide down in the landed position it would have made them either flimsy or very bulky so just kept them in one piece. That's about all. Comments and critiques welcome! "Race you, Dad!"

    [MOC] Steampunk Twin Propeller

Turns out I enjoyed dabbling with some Steampunk stuff, here is another small build. Would have liked to give the photo a bit more room to breathe, but my paper background was too small. Full size on Flickr: https://www.flickr.c.../100114564@N06/

    Jurassic Park jeep

I thought that I'd share a little MOC I put together a while ago, the jeep from one of my favorite movies, The original Jurassic Park. Front View The front was the trickiest part to pull off, I wanted it to look as close as possible to the original jeep and so i had to put a side mounted number plate and also make the entire sides of the jeep half of a stud off the rest of it to make the cheese slope stick over the bumper the right amount! The bonnet Up until the windscreen, this thing is crazy accurate and looks like a jeep, I'm quite proud of the bonnet also. The back side of the jeep Definitely not as good as the front half. I hope you liked it Columbus
  19. Ready for an incredible journey on the Mississippi aboard the vessel "Mississippi Princess"? The paddlewheel steamboat has 4 bridges: -The lowest includes sessions for passengers, a sofa and the engine room with the 10-cylinder diesel engine 20000HP -The first deck includes 1 suite, 1 double, 1 twin bedroom, 1 shared bathroom and the emergency room and service. All cabins have windows with portholes. The bathroom has a toilet, sink and shower. The vessel is equipped with two drawbridges for the boarding and alighting of passengers, both controlled by articulating arms and driven by pulleys. In navigation access to drawbridges it is controlled by gates. The paddlewheel is equipped with 8 blades for pushing. I published this project on LEGO Ideas, where you can find more detailed picts.<p>I used LDD to build and Bluerender for rendering. The Cooperion

This is a MOC I have submitted to Lego Ideas. It took 4 months of designing and rebuilding and trying new things. Never used LDD. I placed 30 Bricklink orders and only used half of what I ordered. Part of the fun right? I hope you like it. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/141383 There are some more pictures on the ideas page.
  23. ============================================= Hello, all, This is a new Wasabi District Thread, since my layout concepts have changed quite a bit since I last posted anything about Wasabi District. I decided to post up a new one since I have decided at the last second to actually bring a layout to Brickworld 2016! So, I have already put a couple of pics on Flickr the past few days, but from here on out I will also update this thread. To start: Here are the Cars of Wasabi District, most of which I will be bringing to the show, And the Trucks of Wasabi District, some of which I will also bring. And here are the WIP stuff: The trees. I want to put a more temperate, vibe. The roads. Instead of having parallel parking space in the main road, I have instead substituted a dedicated bike lane in green, and the pedestrian crosswalk in brick/dark red. And my big skyscraper building progress. This will be the hotel's top floor, a sky lounge that includes a bar and an observatory. So there's what I got for now! I am building a few floors concurrently, as well as completing the road system. I will update this thread with Brickworld progress, and then also add more updates on my layout in general. I have about 4 weeks left, so I am rushing! Hope I get it ready in time for Brickworld. Post your comments and suggestions! Thanks for looking.
  24. This is a minifig-scale model of "The Phantom", the shuttle from the TV series "Star Wars Rebels". It's about a foot long and has a full interior, with working hatches at the rear and on the underside. I re-used the cockpit and nose from goatman461's excellent design, along with elements of the sides, roof and underside hatch: and I'm grateful for his kind permission to post this model. As usual, I've documented the build as an LXF file for my own reference, and I am linking the LXF file here in case anyone else feels like building this model. The LXF is nearly-but-not-quite correct. I can't place the roof (the angled pillars at the back prevent it from attaching) and the tyre with tread at the front of the engine should be an old smooth tyre (part no. 132) - something which does not appear to exist in LDD. Update: Many, many thanks to @monkypaws for making the instrctions available for free on rebrickable - link here. This page contains both a step-by-step set of instructions and a parts list. The details section contains a list of rare parts to check before attempting a build. Before someone asks: yes, I am pondering building the Ghost in scale with this shuttle. I estimate it would be quite large - 138 studs long, 1.1 metres, or the length of a stay in a local psychiatric hospital. Here are a couple of pictures. More can be found on the flickr album: Here are some photos of the Interior. First a shot from the front of the cockpit, showing Hera and Kanan, with the rest of the crew in the background (minus Chopper, who is in his droid socket on top of the ship). The belly hatch works, i.e. it opens and closes: There are eight seats in the back (realistically, seating for six, given the width of Lego figures): Once again, more photos can be found on the flickr album There is always room for improvement: If you have any suggestions, comments or criticisms, please feel free to leave them below. Edited 16th May: added interior photos.
