  1. The MagnePulse Xcelerator is M-Tron's latest development in magnetic technology, an incredibly fast spacecraft featuring two large magnetic repulsion engines and a detachable cockpit that can serve as a rover. The rover is attached via magnets and seats one pilot and either a passenger or a cargo crate. The cockpit has a vertical panoramic window that also functions as the front wheel of the rover.
  2. Hi everyone, My Midi-Scale TIE collection expands again with a new TIE starfighter: the TIE Striker from Rogue One. Made of 730 pieces, this TIE Striker features a fully SNOT surface, a smooth cockpit section, and includes blaster cannons below the cockpit. Design-wise, this ship really felt like a natural continuation of my previous TIE Reaper MOC. Although being almost Minifig-scaled, (hence the Midi-scale) this ship obviously doesn't have any interior due to the techniques used and small space allowed for the internal structure. Due to the front-heavy nature of the design, a rather long (but very simple) stand had to be made in order for the ship to remain perfectly steady and horizontal. The overall build is pleasantly sturdy for a display model and can be moved around easily. Hope you guys like it! ► Instructions for the TIE Striker are available on Rebrickable or via email at flyinspace.mocs@gmail.com More pictures on my Flickr page.

    [CSE] Ice Crystal Cruiser

Scientists on the frozen planet Krysto conduct top secret satellite research, but dangerous forces in the universe want their technology! With the new Ice Crystal Cruiser, Commander Cold can put any Ice Planet foes into a deep freeze. If only 2002 was as incredible as Ice Planet. Here is my CSE. The Ice Crystal Cruiser is 2/3 the ship the Deep Freeze Defender. As expected, the two front pods detach.

    [CSE] Futuron Astro Warden

The CSE contest grabbed my attention, especially after seeing so many creative entries, so I had to try making something for it myself! This Futuron patrol craft measures 36 studs wide, carries a small rover, and seats two crew members. I based the ship around the inverted trans-blue canopies which were not the easiest things to work with at first, but I’m happy I was finally able to use them. Thanks for looking

    [MOC] Astro Cruiser - X01

An experimental flying cruiser that can be used in space, on the moon base, as well as on the surface. It's three wheeled designed allows it to even be operabele on the road, although flying would be preferred. For atmospheric flight it uses the experimental hover engine and the thrusters are mostly for space flight. Equipped with various long range sensors it's the ideal one-person companion craft for bigger ships, although maybe a bit overkill to be used as a personal shuttle. -- Finally took a picture of this one, which was finished for almost a year... 8. Led by enigmatic eccentric Dr. Victor Strangebuild, the crew of Pioneer-74 is on a long-running quest to document the mysteries of deep space. Their goal is to explore unknown worlds, encounter fantastic creatures, and meet brand-new civilizations. Thus, they boldly venture forth into the great final frontier, never looking back towards home. THIS IS THE STORY OF PIONEER-74! So I built this spaceship Halloween in about two hours. I call it Pioneer-74 because I like naming things after old space probes (Pioneer, Odyssey, Voyager, etc.) while the "74" part of the name is because that's what year it was launched. (It has a certain retro look to it, almost like it came from Space: 1999) The brick separator solar arrays and engines have been built IRL for years with nothing interesting to tack them onto, so finally doing something with them makes me happy. The rest is heavily inspired by two CITY space sets (60227 and 60349, respectively) in orange for the LEGO Universe-inspired space theme, the Nexus Force. Pioneer-74 is completely modular, so it can be extended if I wanted later on. (This should also make transportation easier when built in real life.) A look at the vessel from above. NOTE: two figures are missing from the above picture... and it seems one of the finished ones has to get his head in the game as well! Credit where credit is due: @jan kusters ongoing space epic inspired this build, and to my brother for the two awesome renders! UPDATE 12/7/22: It's done! Sorry for the cruddy picture, it was the best I could do. It's far too long for my normal picture taking places! More pictures to come as soon as I can! Thoughts?

  10. Hi Everybody! This is GTR Space Figther, an alternate model of set 42123. It was a very cool building. 42123 has very few functions, and not many gears, so it was a nice challenge. I was able to include three functions, two of them "spring loaded", using flex axles as springs, which was quite fun and it works very well! Notice also the front of the ship. It is built completely off the standards (with some ilegal stuff, I suppose) and in fact it is a bit fragile, but surprisingly it holds very well. Although some of them for decoration purposes, it uses 95% of the parts (795 parts). And it is possible to have a seat for a droid! The features are: Retractable Feet "Spring Loaded" X-Wings Retractable Side guns There are free instructions on rebrickable. Below are some pictures and a video. More pictures here. It seems I am starting to have a fleet! Hope you like it! VascoLP
  11. Here is a 2-in-1 topic with 2 variant of the Scythe transport shuttle, aka the Inquisitor shuttle as seen in the Obi-Wan TV show on Disney+. Scythe Transport side-by-side by Veynom, on Flickr On the left, the MOC designed by Pixel_Dan available on Rebrickable. On the right, my recolored version of the original set (#75336) using 2 shades of grey. Scythe Transport comparison by Veynom, on Flickr What can I say about these 2 models? Like many of us, I've purchased the official set mainly for the minifigs, and not so for the spaceship. While I really liked it in the TV show, I did not like that much the Lego version of it, despites the globally positive reviews and feedback found on the internet, particularly regarding the build experience and the large interior. So I decided to start by building the Pixel_Dan model which I liked better for its proportions and size. Imperial Inquisitor Scythe Transport by Veynom, on Flickr Ultimately, it is a compact and solid model but it has only room for 1 pilot inside. However, it has a retractable landing gear, which the official model has not. Imperial Inquisitor Scythe Transport by Veynom, on Flickr Pure lines, nice design, nice-looking shape, both when landed on in flight mode, clearly an attractive model. The build experience is cool as well, particularly for the forward part. The studless wings add a good plus to the global impression. Imperial Inquisitor Scythe Transport by Veynom, on Flickr Imperial Inquisitor Scythe Transport by Veynom, on Flickr The main issue with the model is the landing gear. It fits perfectly inside and is easy to extract but it has a tendancy to close back when grounding the ship. The trick is to slightly turn the rear landing skis to prevent them to fold back in when grounding the ship. Minor issue but....still an issue. On the other side, the "2 shades of grey" counter part is clearly less sexy. (Well, I think.) Scythe Transport by Veynom, on Flickr As I only used black parts from the set to build the first Scythe transport, I was left with most of the parts of the official set. So I tried to use my own stock of grey to build a recolored version, thinking it could be "cool". Seeing the result, "cool" is not exactly the first word coming to my mind. Not liking the result, I will mostly likely dismantle it and send the parts back to the bulk. Scythe Transport by Veynom, on Flickr Still, when landing with folded wings, it is still OK-ish. But when in flight position, I really can't like it. Is it due to the original model shape ? Is it due to my recoloring? I'm still unsure but as there can be only one, I believe my choice is done and a fate is settled. What about you? Which version do you prefer? The 3rd option is still the original set, of course.
  12. This is a Lego Ideas Submission, if you can, please support it here. I originally made this to go alongside the Galaxy Explorer, since 10497, while excellent, lacks the base 497 had. It's not meant as a remake of the base from that set specifically, though, more of just a base in general to go alongside 10497. Once I finished it, I thought it'd be a nice moc to submit to lego ideas. Here you can see all aspects of the base. The skylight and radar on top of the left module, the asteroid defense system on top of the right module, the landing pad and scout ship, the lunar rover and charging bay, and the 5 spacemen united once more, this time alongside a new brown spaceman. Another view of the full set, just cleaned up a bit, with the scout ship and rover docked. This part of the interior contains a console for the radar scanner and a material analysis bay. The clear 1x2x2 panels are on hinges and can open to place a crystal for analysis. The other side of this module contains a pair of robotic arms for further material experimentation, as well as a tool rack for wrenches, comms, and "flashlights". Totally not blasters. The other module contains, on one side, the controls for the emergency asteroid defense system, as well as a kitchen area. The kitchen area is stocked with a hot/cold liquid dispenser, and some different types of food. Finally, the other side of the small module contains a sleeping area for the spacemen. Here they can hang their air tanks by their pillow and drift off to sleep. If you like this, I hope you'll be able to take a few seconds and support it quickly on lego ideas, again, here

    Blacktron Droid Factory Lego Ideas

Back in the 90s I used to think the Message Intercept Base was a Futuron Base diguised as a Blacktron one. Many times I thought how it would look a true Blacktron1 Base. So I designed this project and make something more "mean" more "rebelious" a base with modules which could be used both as rooms in the base and also as parts of vehicles or ships. I wanted to take the interlocking modular concept used by Lego on the Blacktron 1 sets to a new level and giving a fresh look to the retro space subtheme. Also give them droids which actual look like automata units for different purposes like spy units or guards. Enjoy it and if you like it, give it support. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/0f9caab4-1d4a-4207-ae82-60b6cc8b61d9

    [MOC] VCH-23 Spaceship

I built this with actual bricks first and then put them together in Studio as well. I kind of prefer render images to actual photographs these days but I love the experience of building with my hands. So here you go, VCH-23. I hope you like it! I will upload a 360 degree video on my Flickr soon, it's still rendering. Btw, it's made out of only 312 parts! Check out my Flickr for more images and MOCs:

  19. The Galactic Plastics Volkite is a LEGO spaceship originally built by Nick Trotta (galacticplastics.com). As with all creations by Nick, the Volkite uses clever building techniques to achieve unusual shapes and angles. I have now created a digital version of the Volkite: Galactic Plastics Volkite - starfield by Brick Random, on Flickr In addition to rendering the above pictures, I've also used to digital model to create step-by-step PDF building instructions and a full parts inventory. My next step will be to actually build a real life version! The free step-by-step building instructions and the parts inventory for the Volkite are now available on Rebrickable.com: Galactic Plastics Volkite
  20. In honor of the new "Lightyear" sets that were revealed yesterday, I decided to reveal my Space Ranger version of the spaceship in the style of PUG-Z from the old LEGO Worlds video game. I named the ship "42" in honor of the "Buzz Lightyear of Star Command" TV show's ship from twenty-two years ago (Was 2000 really THAT long ago?!?), which I watched a lot when I was younger and sadly is not streaming anywhere since Disney / Pixar have virtually disowned it. NOTES: The origin of the original ship itself is from the totally awesome (and sadly defunct) online free-roam video game LEGO Worlds, then recreated by user TOB1 and made into PDF instructions over on Rebrickable. The rear of the ship, featuring a main engine and two boosters. The landing legs can fold up for flight, as shown above. (yes, I dusted the ship after these shots... the model has been sitting on a table since December, and needed a storage bin until yesterday. I didn't think about dusting them until after taking photos. Sorry!) Buzz sits in the front to pilot, and the alien Bunny lady from Vydio will sit behind him when she gets here... I haven't figured out what she does. Scanning? navigation? weapons? Ideas would be nice, if anyone has any. Space Rangers from Left to Right: - Nic (short for Nicodemus) is a highly evolved rat with cybernetic implants for eyes because he was born blind. From a world called Thorn V.\ - Buzz Lightyear needs no introduction. - E.R.I.C. is a utility robot programed to help maintain starships. This one takes care of Buzz's rocket, 42. - Izzy Hawthorne (info redacted) - Clover comes from a world called Watership. She is an empath and can sense emotions / feelings in others. (I borrowed some characters from famous literature for the aliens: Nic is slightly based off the rat leader Nicodemus from 'Mrs. Frisby and Rats of NIMH' novel, while Clover is based (in name only) off of a character from the book 'Watership Down') Comments, suggestions, and complaints welcome. Would love to hear all you guy's thoughts on all of this!

  24. Hello everyone. With a little delay, I present to you my modest contribution to the SHIPTEMBER competition: I named the Sébosaurus. He is a terraformer capable of bringing life to twenty planets. There is everything you need; vats of proto culture saturated with primary cells. These cisterns (located behind the device) are mechanically attracted (planetary attractions), and diffuse genetically modified spores from the top of the atmosphere to the ground. They are programmed to bring life where they are sown. The Omega Fut, represented on the ship by the central energy sensor (visible as a large circle and insulating energy shield), as well as the front of the device with no less than 48 catalysts / multipliers. Unlimited autonomy since the domestication of infra-conductors in 2086 (neutral sidereal carbon footprint).
