  1. NOTE: I have no plans on building this IRL for now, it was just for fun to pass the time. If you want the original Star wars version, see here. This model is a combination of the best parts of sets 8095 and 7565 (both of the sets mentioned are called General Grievous’ Starfighter.) but rendered in orange and white for the Neo Nexus Force. As such, this logo here goes on the nose of the craft. Background info: The ship's name in the Star Wars universe is the "Soulless One", and is General Grievous’ personal vessel in Episode 3 and both the Clone Wars cartoon and mini-series until his death at the hands of a Obi Wan Kenobi, who then "borrowed" the ship and later abandoned it. The ship was later found on a junkyard asteroid by Neo Nexus Force leader Bob, who gave a new paint job to the vessel and rechristened it "Creative One". It serves as Bob's private space vessel when on solo missions and also when the star cruisers Bright Hope and Bright Future are not needed. The ship features a slide open cockpit, which comes with a flight computer. The ship defends itself with four laser cannons mounted near the front by the wings, two per side. I heavily modified the tail, wings, and underside to attach better to the rest of the ship. Also, in case anyone is wondering, the wings and mostly from set 7565 while 98% of the body is from set 8095. The Bob figure is included with the space ship in the LDD file, which is available here. Comments, questions and complaints are always welcome!
  2. IN REALITY: This ship was originally set 70816, Benny's spaceship (x3), with the Unkiitty seat and radar dish removed in favor of a skylight and laser gun turret instead. The sliding wings were redesigned to be stationary and thus provide space under the turret for commander Bob. The ship also has separate passageways for crew to walk so they don't have to go outside to go to Bob, engineering, or the bridge. Oh yeah, and it's orange now! I was inspired to build this model by this cool ship by Oran Cruzen as seen here. IN FICTION: The Bright Future was designed with help from Benny the 1980-something space guy. This heavily armed ship was designed to replace the lighter Bright Hope, which was heavily damaged in a firefight between two Maelstrom Void-Ships. (The enemy was defeated with help from the allied Nortsa sister ship Shining Star and the Odyssey II space laser, but at great cost.) The glaring problems in the design of the Bright Hope led the design crew to the master space-designer Benny, who in turn took his original SPACESHIP(!) design to the next level with more armor and sleeker wing profile. The wings were then redesigned to reduce hyper-space speed but allow for greater range. Bob was even given an office where the wing extender mechanism was! The rear of the ship has three engines. The rear of the ship has three engines and a rotating, elevating quad-gun turret. This small and nimble fighter was designed after looking at a Classic Space model I found on my hard-drive. (I think it was inspired by a model my brother bought off Brick-Link a couple years back.) Anyway, I then tore the model apart and have added four guns, larger wings, and the larger air intakes from my Nexus tower rocket. The ship features an enlarged cockpit with controls and seating for one figure. The rear of the model features one tail-fin and two engines exhaust ports. The rest of my Neo-Nexus force stuff is seen in topics here and here. Comments, Questions, & complaints are always welcome!
  3. This car was mostly inspired by the 1969 Chevy Z-28 in set 75874 (Chevrolet Camaro Drag Race) and partially by my orange first car for Bob from 2014. (That first model was taken from the LEGO City Undercover video game.) Oh, and set 75912 (Porsche 911 GT finish line) also has a bit of say in how this model looked with regards to the middle of the car. This is Bob's car, so of course he gets at least one picture with his car. As you can see, the car features a orange paint scheme with black bumpers. The rear of the car features two tail-lights, spare tire, and the Neo - Nexus Force logo (actually the re-purposed CITY arctic logo) on the roof. The inside of the car can fit one mini-figure as the driver. Here is Bob's original car from 2014. Thoughts, questions or complaints are always welcome!
  4. The LEGO snow speeder design from Episode V (The Empire Strikes Back) of Star Wars fame has been using basically the same design for over a decade (since 2003's set 4500, actually) and I think I may have created a new way of doing it. Here is that 2003 set for reference. ....and here is my version: The models features a newer cockpit canopy courtesy of the Speed Champions theme and a nose made out of part 6153b. Yes, I removed the gunners seat / harpoon gun and added a astro-droid socket, but it's the same basic cockpit design and the look is still present if it were 100% screen accurate.... you could even back convert it into it's Episode V state quite easily. The roof of the canopy comes off to place the figure inside at the controls. The ship features two engines and two laser cannons, plus a astro-droid fits where the gunner usually would go. Okay, confession time: This model was made for use with my LEGO Universe - related Neo-Nexus Force stuff, and as such the wings should have this logo printed on the 2 x 2 curved slopes: http://alpha.brickli...68pb004#T=C&C=4 The model is featured along with the rest of the LU models in this thread there, but since it is also Star Wars related, I brought it home to this topic. Here is the LDD file in case anyone wants it: http://www.moc-pages...1462716991m.lxf Also, if anyone wants to see my other topic and it's models including the space base, its in the sci-fi forum at this link: http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=106512 EDIT: Version 2 This version features less slopes and a more angular roof canopy, plus a different rear windscreen. Comments, complaints, and questions welcome!
  5. Through a horrible bricklinking accident, I ended up with three of these guys when I really just wanted one. Oh well, now they're an alternate space faction. I built them vehicles. First, here's this truck, along with an escort car. The truck's robotic, meant to carry around a standard cargo container; here it is empty, along with a pile of cargo. The escort car carries two crew with personal weapons. Mounted gun can also be pulled off, wielded manually. Space is a dangerous place, pic related: Anyway, in case that's not enough, here's a lanky walker..mech..thing. Group shot, along with a space truck. There's something strange about these guys. What evil lurks behind those strange dark visors?! Oh Faction theme song:
  6. This space station orbits the ice world of Beta Polaris, pointed at the direction of the trans-dimensional rip in space-time that leads to Lego Universe. The station is really an advanced weapons platform, capable of vaporizing any enemy fighters or heavily damaging Maelstrom star-cruisers. The station features a large ionic plasma cannon at it's nose, with re-purposed solar panels (they are now giant chaos-energy sensors) taking up space just behind it. The next section is the crew quarters. This section rotates to provide gravity, but the battle computers and command bridge are further towards the nose and do not rotate, thus they are in zero gravity. The space behind the crew quarters is the engineering department, which also lacks gravity. This section contains the nuclear fusion reactor power plant, which provides power to the station, while also powering the ionic plasma weapon at the other end of the station. The name of the platform is Space Station Odyssey II, after the near-identical first station was destroyed in a freak accident involving the ionic plasma weapon. NOTES: This build was heavily inspired by Doctor_Spock_888's brick separator hyper-drive model, seen here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/dr_spock_888/20558633496/in/dateposted/ Also, two of this print should go on the slopes on the crew section: http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=15068pb004#T=C&C=4 The ldd file is here, if anyone wants it: http://www.mocpages.com/user_images/80135/1439821376m.lxf Any thoughts, complaints, questions and / or comments are welcome!
  7. Hello, I wanted to upload my 15+ vehicles from the 1940's to today in a way that was quick and efficient, thus this thread is about getting the pictures out with side notes structured like this: (picture goes here) 19## yellow semi truck Built 20## Inspired by set ####, known as "Insert set name" LDD file: (if available) LDD missing parts / prints You are free to comment, but please note: the remaining 10 or so vehicles are (going to be) in another topic, because they are more Adventurer's / 1920's themed. I would also appreciate a mod indexing these MOCs in their respective topics. Also, please note these were taken by me and a family member with a cellphone camera, so please take that into consideration with the picture quality / cropping. I also only took one picture per vehicle. 8. This MOC's story-line takes place after the first LEGO MMORPG (Lego Universe) was determined a failure and canceled at midnight on Jan 31st, 2012. This story suggests that the Nexus Force (the protectors of imagination in the game) was over-run by a huge armies of Stromlings (bad guys, agents of The Maelstrom, a chaos entity) and the decision was made to evacuate the remaining mini-figures inside Nexus Tower (The home of the nexus force) in the Bright Hope, and head for a tear in the space-time continuum to our Universe. Here is where the story starts: The Bright Hope was ejected from Nexus Tower during the final battle for LEGO Universe, fleeing to Gallant 5 and the space / time rip nearby. With her crew of 1 Grand Admiral (Bob) 6,000 crew, 7,000 soldiers, along with a handful of the best and brightest minds the Nexus Force could gather in their darkest hour. After reaching our universe (and sealing the Rip behind it), the Bright Hope searched for their new home, eventually settling on a small ice planet somewhere near the edge of the Milky Way Galaxy. A base camp was constructed, and after a time, the Bright Hope was sent on a new mission: to make contact with their new neighbors, and forge alliances while defending their new home from invasion from the forces of evil. (The front saucer was inspired by Eurobricks user hachiroku and his version of the 2009 Starship Enterprise.) The Bright Hope is powered by two Imagination Reactors and can reach 70% of the speed of light. It has 510 laser cannons, has consumables (food & water) capable of lasting 2 years, and contains a compliment of 250 fighter craft and 50 shuttles, plus 200 escape pods. The fighters and shuttles come from a landing bay in the center of the two two engine bays. The 2x2 curved slope on the front is supposed to have this CITY Arctic print: http://www.bricklink...sp?P=15068pb004 The Bright Hope's bridge (it is supposed to be located in the 4x4 dish on the ship model) features three seats, two for senior officers and the large swivel chair is for the Nexus Force supreme commander, which happens to be Grand Admiral Bob. The rear of the bridge is the briefing room with a large hologram projector in the center. (The bridge was heavily inspired by the 2009 Star Wars set 7754, Home One Mon Calimari Star Cruiser.) Ship Name: Bright Hope Commander: Grand Admiral Bob Owner: Nexus Force Designer: Dr. Albert Overbuild Manufacturer: Assembly Shipyards Weapons: 510 Laser Turrets Engines: 2 Imagination Reactors Max Speed: 25,000 MPH Max Hyper Speed: 70% speed of light Personnel: 1 Grand Admiral, 6,000 crew Troops: 7,000 soldiers, 300 pilots Consumables: 2 years Max. Complement: 250 space fighters, 50 escape pods, 200 shuttles LDD file for both models: http://www.mocpages.com/user_images/80135/1421357980m.lxf EDIT 1/15/15: The LDD file and pictures have been updated.
