    [O - G08] Live Bait

Location: G08 - Xerillian Tags: Vehicle, Spaceship / Airplane, Exploration, Science Pilot and interim CEO John Hannibal barely escapes the "jaws" of one of the most dangerous denizens of Xerillian, G08. [G - 08] LIVE BAIT by Ryan McBryde, on Flickr The pressure is on the would-be executive as he struggles to keep his corporation afloat. Where will he steer the Octan's scientists, chomping at the bit for more challenging pursuits, trusting Octan leadership to deliver a path to success? Hannibal has made his decision. Now he gathers a supply of the most ruthless, hungry beasts that Octan has faced thus far, risking his own life to lure this particular creature. As he flies low among the dunes, the giant worm is close behind him. Hannibal brings his speeder closer to the sand, sacrificing his speed and kicking up a large wake of sand. The worm speeds up and closes in. He's almost there. Almost there... The worm lunges at Hannibal as the speeder dives into LaRose's newly discovered cave. It is uncertain what stuns the giant worm more, bursting through the rock at full speed, or the disappearance of its would-be meal. An Octan cargo ship quickly pulls the beast out of the hole and into a secured container. Soon Hannibal will deliver his bounty of death to I06, the future home of a new training facility unsurpassed in its rigorous curriculum and exceptional faculty. The future of Octan is bright. Nothing can stand in its way.

    The V19-83 Starship

Hey everybody this is my first time posting so please tell me if I did something wrong or you need more clarification on something. This is the V19-83 Starship. It's something I am working on for a comic I am creating. The basic story of this is that it is a prototype that was left unfinished and found by my protagonist. I wanted something that in essence would be bare-bones but unique. I would like for this ship to change and grow as the story continues which is personally one of my favorite aspects in storytelling. I've always loved when the characters get a new base or upgraded gadgets. I wrote descriptions on every photo I took in my main album so I'm linking a couple of my favorite pictures here and if you would like to see more and read about my thoughts then feel free to visit the entire album. https://www.flickr.com/gp/133010472@N06/9VC3N3

    (MOC) Mini X-Wing Display

Continuing my habit of making displays for my poybags, here is my display for my Mini X-Wing Fighter As you can see, it holds it up quite well And let me try out a new way of making a space background I hope you like it! And, remember, comments are always appreciated!
  8. Designed my first SHIiP (Seriously Huge Investment in Parts). DondoDyne SC-8030 "Goblin", a heavily armored gunboat on-par with the Skipray Blastboat. Eight ball-jointed engines, attached to four swiveling hubs for maximum maneuverability in and out of atmospheres. No reliance on repulsorlift or antigravity systems, making it perform equally across all environments, terrestrial or no. The bright red "shoot me here" fuel tanks are highly combustible, and when destroyed, often cause a chain reaction destroying all tanks, and causing damage to nearby ships. Perfect for suicide missions! The two rear crew are gunners, and the forward crew is made up of a pilot and co-pilot, the co-pilot having control of the lower turret, as well as the fuel, inertia, electrical, and communication systems. The pilot must balance use of the twin concussion missile launchers, five forward mounted laser cannons, the proton torpedo launcher, and the eight individually articulated engines. The swiveling hubs function on the s-foil system, so that's one thing off of the cluttered mind of a Goblin pilot. The pilot and co-pilot need to be trained heavily, and trained together. If one messes up, there's a big chance of it barreling into the ground while on fire and spinning. comments/criticism? these images can be found in my "musings" folder, i'll make a dedicated folder for this when i build it irl

  10. Hi, I'm planning to sale my Imperial Flagship. Because I move together with my girlfriend and she's not really into Lego, I want to sell it with a heavy heart. It's 100% complete, in very good condition. Box and instructions in excellent condition. It wasn't played with, just stood on my living room's shelf. I'm located in Germany, would ship worldwide. I'd prefer Bank Transfer, because of Paypal Fees. Pictures can be seen here: https://www.flickr.c...57652220182852/ Feel free to ask questions. If you are intersted in buying PM me. Cheers Sebastian

    Bluecoats ship l'Hermes

[pid][/pid] 156C Hi Here, I present to you Bluecoats Ship l’Hermes, the fastest ship on the seven seas. She’s a Sebeus’ Zephyr-class brig. Here’s a story. Sebeus I, the Pirate once worked for the Bluecoats, but eventually his pirate nature won. Bluecoats couldn’t stand the fact, that they lost Zephyr, the fastest ship that ever was. So they decided to build something even faster. They took Zephyr’s plans and they improved it (at least they thought so). They changed bow, stern, masts etc, leaving only broadsides untouched, as they found it perfect. So here it is: Hermes, owner of winged sandals and winged cap, messenger of the gods, god of commerce, thieves, travelers, sports, athletes, and border crossings, guide to the Underworld. Hermes is a brig built on a small prefab hull with two midsections. Small hull is pretty narrow, but that makes ship very fast with these big machine-sewn pvc-fabric sails. I built the sides using Sebeus’ “simplified tumblehome” technique. Not-so-simple, you know Lifeboat can be lowered down. I’ve never seen this kind of solution before, so I guess I’m the first one to build it (or not?). Notice the stern, I’m pretty proud of it. I’ve made all of lines by myself, using flax (linen) thread, as I couldn’t get hemp-made one (you know why), like those used on real tallships in the sail-age. But it looks similar I think, besides you can’t get high with flax other way than just climbing. Hermes has an interior and a captain’s cabin as well. It’s rather tight, but its fully accessible and it’s probably first one built on a SMALL hull (is it?). Only issue is that plume must be taken off the hat before closing roof. On the left: bluecoat infantry. They are to help musketeers - famous Cocteau Twins (in front of a picture) in their secret mission ordered by Roi-Soleil himself. On the right you can see marines commanded by Admiral Jean Marie Baptiste Louis Francois Brickeur Comte de Stud. There are no sailors on the picture because they actually took this photo. Admiral Jean Marie Baptiste Louis Francois Brickeur Comte de Stud followed by his personal cook inspects his marines (I believe the name of the one with a moustache is Rene Artois). Hermes set sails to set off on the secret mission. So, Noble Seawolfs, give some of your C&C’s to obedient servant of yours. At your service! mrsniady1

    Another Budget Imperial Flagship

174B Earlier this year I decided I wanted an Imperial Flagship. It's very expensive even for a used one... So I decided to see what I had at home. It turned out I already had most parts. So I ordered the missing parts and sails and I think I got away at around €100-150. Due to the price of some parts I've had to swap colours, mostly the masts and the dark brown parts for which I use black. The dark bley fence pieces are also swapped for black ones. Sorry for the bad pictures. Battling against my newly acquired Black Seas Barracuda:
  15. So I decided The Brick Bounty didn't satisfy me enough as a ship. So I took it apart and built a new one. At first I was going to see if I could keep some of The Brick Bounty and just improve it. But in the end I used quite few of the parts from the ship and instead picked parts from the rest of my collection. I also added one of the "end hull pieces" because the ship was too short and too low. The ship is almost finished, only some details left. But there are things already that I would like to improve but don't know how. My brother is giving me too much criticism about the cabin sticking out too far over the hull piece (I would like to hear your opinion about this!). I am also not very satisfied with how the sails are attached. Those masts don't really seem to be made for the Brickbeard's Bounty sails (which I bought second hand). You can probably see where I got the inspiration from! See if you can spot all the good updated Black Seas Barracuda details : D One detail I kept from TBB was the crow's nest. I think Redbeard will be in command of the ship. I will see if I can get some vessels for captain Brickbeard and captain Neckbeard (the CMF captain xD).

    LDD MOC HMS Royal Oak

LDD 16D Hello all, I`ve been working on a LDD ship a long long time, but they all have just grinded to a halt. Whit LoneBrickersSG`s topic and his first ship in LDD did really give me the spark. (A big thanks to him and the credits) So, I did copy the basic of the hull, and then modified it here and there till I was happy whit the result. The look has been heavily inspired by HMS Ontario which was 22 gun snow, serving in Lake Ontario during American Revolutionary War and did sank in a storm 1780, and was discovered again in 2008. Now, this ship does not have as many guns as HMS Ontario, one reason being that there's just not enough space, and that the bow is just one big piece. But it only lacks 2 cannons less that Ontario did. Im planning on coming back to this ship. Maby, perhaps building it in real bricks some distant future as i am becoming a father this June. So no time for Lego's really. I will try and work on the stern, as its too low and doesn't really please me at this moment, Also the bow will be made again, adding some guns, making Her just a bit longer and bigger perhaps. My goal on making ships is not to look extremely polished and pretty on the outside, but to make sure I would be able to do it in real bricks, and that it would be sturdy, so forgive the rather "Gruesome" look as im not a professional ship builder or anything. Pictures in my Brickshelf http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=554614 Captain Becker PS: I did ask his permission to use his model, but he hasnt read it, or replied. Im sorry if it was not OK for you
  17. A nice Sunday to everyone! I am starting a new MOC series under the title "Updating the Classics". Having been inspired by a similar post in the "town" forum, I thought it would be interesting to apply modern bricks and building techniques to a few classic castle ships that we have seen in the 90s. The challenge for me in there is twofold: First I have to try to rebuild the original (which is not so easy due to lack of "historic" bricks), second part is to come up with a new version. 6018 Battle Dragon (Revisited & Original): 6018 Battle Dragon: The Battle Dragon is not one of the biggest ships for our knights... I was lucky - I (almost) had all the necessary bricks. In an updated version it might look like this: 6018 Battle Dragon (Revisited): The sail has the "dragon" on it. The dragon gallion is actually a very fine creation, so I kept it, just changing the colour and a few smaller parts. I thought that a sail and a rudder were useful additions. And that the crew could grow by 50%. More to come - C&C welcome! Edit: Part 2 can be found here: MOC: Updating the Classics (2) - 6049 Viking Voyager Part 3: MOC: Updating the Classics (3) - 6057 Sea Serpent Revisited

    Micro-Scale Spaceship

My first try to build a micro-scale spaceship. I used two motorcycle-frames (brickset.com/parts/4285961) with their bottom-side pointing inwards as base. More pictures of my creations can be found in the LEGO folder of my homepage!
  19. Hi there! I would like to continue my MOC series "Updating the Classics". (part 1: MOC: Updating the Classics (1) - 6018 Battle Dragon Revisited) part 2: MOC: Updating the Classics (2) - 6049 Viking Voyager) Some of you may know the great "Sea Serpent". The set came out in 1992 and for some strange reasons, which I cannot reproduce, I happen to have bought the set (although that was the time of my dark ages). Therefore I was lucky to still find much of the original parts, including the sail. Some, of course, have disappeared over time. 6057 Sea Serpent (Revisited & Original): 6057 Sea Serpent: Once again, I have added Mitgardian colours. The gallion had to change from yellow to blue due to absence of the two smaller bricks. It is still a very charming ship. Small but efficient. 6057 Sea Serpent Revisited: My new version applies some of the new techniquesin hull design and my brick-sail-approach. Colour-wise I have tried to stick to the original. So far, this is the "revisited" version which I like the best. C&C welcome!

  22. Please allow me to post my latest build. Back in April 2014 I received an email from Greenpeace to visit their latest Rainbow Warrior while she was in the harbour of Amterdam for just 2 days. Since I wanted to build this iconic campaign vessel since 2011 when it was just launched I went over there. I took a lot of photos capturing the most important details. But I also wanted the GA and Lines plans of the ship. After talking to some Rainbow Warrior Sailors I was given the email adress of the Designated Person Ashore. After some emails and phonecalls and a NDA I received the plans. Happy me. As usual I started in MLcad. This took me about three to four months. The whole underwater ship is build upside down, the keel included. The part above the water line is build in snot. Rainbow Warrior WIP by Konajra, on Flickr The first Idea was to build the underwaterpart as one piece and split the part above in two. However during the construction of the ship it became clear that the underwatership was not going to be strong enough on its own. So I decided to build the green part of the hull in one piece and connect it to the underwatership. The hull is now one complete piece with a length of 150 cm. It is so strong that it can hold the entire finished model on the stand without using the keel as a base. That was even a suprise for me Now some photos of designing and building the ship. 23. S.C.O.U.T. (Surveilance:Charting:Observation:Utility:Tactics) SCOUT is a lightweight reconnaissance ship with aerial and nautical capabilities. Equipped with a single sail and a small but powerful steam engine, powered by 3 propellers, it has excellent maneuverability and can outpace even the fastest battleships. Though the SCOUT always aims to avoid open combat, if the need arises, it can rely on a single rear mounted cannon yo discourage more persistent pursuing ships. SCOUT's typical assignments include charting new territories, battlefield surveillance, in-and-out rescue missions and various other tactical operations.
  24. LDD/MLCad 15C Hello pirate lovers! I would like to present you my latest MOC: Peter Pan and Captain Hook's Jolly Roger The set is based on the Disney's animated film. I tried to keep it as close to the original, which wasn't so easy because the ship itself doesn't get that much screen time. The design is mainly based on these two images: I think this could be a great new licensed pirate theme (there is a Peter Pan feature film coming out later this year - www.imdb.com/title/tt3332064/ and it looks right up TLG's alley :) ) If you like, it would mean the world to me if you could support it on: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/96285 Thanks!
  25. LDD/MLCad 15B The time has come, dear colleagues. This is the last xebec by my hands. Probably the best ship which was ever constructed at my shipyards. You can find the ship here: https://www.flickr.c...157651089655346 My next creation will be a large merchant barque. Thank you for your attention!
