  1. I wanted to do a small quick build with the new panda minifigs from The LEGO Movie CMF series. Figured I do something that looked at bit like the Great Wall of China, but with no aspiration to make it exactly correct. Thanks for watching! /Etzel
  2. Hello again. I just completed my latest moc mini modular. It's a castle! Some features you'll see include a moat, drawbridge, alligator, and four cannons! Any comments, questions, or suggestions are appreciated. As always, you can see more photos on my flickr. Thanks for taking the time to look. I hope you like it!

    Nightstalker

Can you see in the dark? I can. Sleep in fear.
  4. My PRR B1 has reproduced itself into a PRR Class BB1. When PRR bought the first batch of the units, they came in BB1 configuration. The units were semi-permanently joined together. Only later on in life did PRR separated them into single B1 units and ordered further units as B1. PRR Class BB1 by dr_spock_888, on Flickr As a BB1 model, there is room to add Power Functions. An XL-motor can replace the M-motor if more power is needed. I had to add tires to the drive wheels to give it more traction around curves. I find the 0-6-0 wheel configration fascinating in these electrics. YouTube video: More pics on my BrickShelf: http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=539207
  5. Hi everyone, Speculations are coming whether there will be a next wave of LOTR sets this year ot not, since there are no sign of them. There are several scenes/caracters that we miss so much! The most iconic is – at least for me – Minas Tirith! I dared to design something, that could be released as an official sets. I tried to think with TLG’s head, regarding piece and minifig count and playability. This is what I came up with: The whole set with Minas Tirith gate, Grond, the tower with the signaling fire with some minifigs. The Grond from a closer view. The ram itself is hanged on chains, so you can swing it, when you try to break the gate. Because you can break the gate! You can see two technic bars at the two side of the gate. [1st picture] If you remove them, the gate can be pushed back from forward, imitating the siege, when the Wolf’s head crashes the gate. The rear view. The gate can be closed. I admit, I run out of steam with the furniture, so it’s a little empty. That was not my main point. :) The minifigs: Rear row: Two orcs in battle armor, Gothmog and a Cave Troll. First row. Pippin in Minas Tirith Guard outfit, Gandalf the white and two Gondorian soldiers. Disclaimer: I used the parts that are available in LDD so I had to live with its limitations. No proper LOTR troll mold and no new molds of course (For Gothmog’s head for instance). And the whole model is a compressed version of part of the city, but it is not unusual in official LEGO sets. The tower with the fire is not so close to the gate, but I wanted to add as many play feature as possible. The Citadel was left out though. I don't think it could be built together with the gate without making the city to small. Yes, there is a ballista. Remember, think like TLG.
  6. Hello! I just joined the forum, and now i want to introduce myself and the latest MOC i built ;) It's a programmable sequencer playing a little song on a KORG monotron Duo (an analogue synthesizer) and a MakeyMakey what sends midi-signals to an audio-software (in my case logic) to trigger drum sounds. But I'm not very good at explaining, so take a look and tell me what do you think! Cheers, Fissl

    Friendly Pollinator Drone

The pollen from the giant "Fuschia Bellis Perennis" is an expensive delicacy to humans but is the primary source of food to the peaceful insectoid Nalongii. They use giant drone worker robots to collect it's sweet harvest.

    BRUTE FORCE DRONES

After a decade of fighting the Alien invasion, the Galaxy Squad had been eliminated. In the same way the ADU was toppled by the Martians and replaced by GS, now the Brute Force has superseded the brightly coloured yahoo's whose overconfidene in tech inevitably led to their downfall. Investigations by human controlled Drones brought back news from Termite (the Buggoid home hive world). Their planet was devoid of nutrients required to feed their elite larvae. The buggoids had come to our Galaxy to provide sustenance for their queens. They were harvesting human DNA to farm our people as cattle. When the Galaxy Squad had been eradicated they started to take civilians who were much easier targets. A lone survivor came forward with new tactics and a better plan. Our technology was no match for the buggoid defences. High tech lasers and crafts were dropped. In came Old Skool, more personal hand to hand combat fighting techniques and ion plasma tech drones. Major Max Solarflare vowed revenge.... "Bug Hunters" deploy in two or three operative teams. What better way to combat the swarm than with a "Fly Swatter". Heavily armored and with ion plasma powered 360 degree pummels this drone never gets tired of squashing bugs. Accompanied by crazed veteran Hudson Rocket-Fella. This team has over 50,000 estimated kills at entry points across 3 hive Worlds. They include the notorious "Price of Existence" mission to Pluto which resulted in its total destruction via unplanned black hole implosion. Who needs guns when you have a titanium alloy cricket bat and a can do attitude. The Earth Tech boys thought is would be funny to make the meanest drones resemble bugs. This hunter is clearly a rookie, the lack of cybernetics mark him out as fresh meat. Major Max Solarflare with his combat drone Buddy "Machete". Close combat is the only way to penetrate Buggoid shielding technology. Max and the Machete are more than willing to oblige. Since losing his hand in an encounter with one of the remaining Hive Tyrants, Max has become an expert in Blade melee and fights with the smoothness of a professional. As with most drones - Machete relies more on enthusiasm and boundless energy rather than technique. Anyone stupid enough to get to close to the drone gets an extra pummelling from his additional tenderisers. The smaller drones in the Brute Force have the most dangerous jobs as they are the ones called upon to clear hive catacombs. Their larger battle brethren normally engage in entry assaults and exfil missions. Hive demolition team. Brachiator - bomb delivery drone. Ordinance expert "Boom-Boom" Johnson Slicer - personal defence drone Hive demo teams are the third wave of the Brute Force ground assault team. Not picturd but coming soon! Saint and the Sinner!
  9. Hello, Here is my first 6x6 model. 2L motors for driving, Servo motor for steering. Weight is 1180g. Motors and battery box are located on the middle of chassis. Front and rear suspensions are very soft. So, the Truck easily pitches up and down, climb over a certain level of obstacles. 3 differentials and 6 cv joints works pretty well, not broken or snapped at all in the video. Building instructions and more pictures:https://plus.google....64977943/albums Also I added this MOC to Rebrickable. I hope you enjoy it!

    MOC: Riaso Xilond V4

I have updated Riaso to V4 and give him new colors because i gotten bored of the Green and Purple colors on him, so R.I.P. Green and Purple Riaso. Click the picture to see the MOC. Please give me your Opinion and Criticism about the MOC and hope you like it.
  11. A while ago, near the Avalonian border... Chaaaaarge!!! The Orc captain orders the charge at the last of the vikings from the Offnir-clan, a clan of vikings who worship the dragon Offnir, last seen hundreds of years ago. The vikings get help from a few local orc-haters. Who will win this battle? To be continued... EDIT: I now see the pics are a bit blurry, sorry about that. When I get home I will take better pics, or at least give it a try.

    [MOC] Backhoe

For as long as I've been a part of the online LEGO community; more than five years, I've never posted a MOC on Eurobricks, rather only lurked. On that note, say hello to my latest MOC and first on Eurobricks: Aside from not requiring surgery in the future, if there's one notable positive attributed to wisdom teeth removal it's that I have more time for LEGO. I had started this backhoe as a project to pass the time and keep my mind off the pain (due to allergies, I don't take a lot of unnecessary drugs like painkillers). As well, after surfing Eurobricks, The Brothers Brick and Brickshelf, I was surprised by the lack of backhoes. I figured I'd fill the void with this little guy. Enjoy! To see more on this and other MOCs, visit my flickr: http://www.flickr.co...s/brickartisan/
  13. This is just a small Saturday's amusement to try out the platform. Now we all know: for Vader no way is too far for a good fresh halibut. Who'd have thought it I've built the hut after the incredible Megan Rothrocks totally fantastic book, but I added a little of my own with the roof and the surroundings. Flickr Stream

    Barquentine: the Christine

[pid][/pid] A barquentine, also known as a schooner bark, is defined as a three-master, foremast being square rigged while the main and other masts are fore-and-aft rigged. This combination makes it an excellent ship to sail close to the wind while it still has a good performance before the wind. This is my second try at costum rigging (the first one being the dutchman). I optimized my variant of CGH's technique, instead of creating multiple offsets and slanted sections I use built the ships' side in one piece and attach it with no more than two hinge pieces per side. Originally I created this variant when I was short of hinge plates (in CGH's tutorial you need a lot of those), now I see it as a much better technique for small ships. This barquentine (4 midsections) is about the biggest you can achieve with this technique, when you want to build a bigger ship CGH's technique is a much better choice. During the building proces I considered the possibilities of making a frigate with my variant technique (Frigate meaning a ship with a continuing gun deck). If I would raise the channels holding the rigging and sacrifice the galleries I could give this ship a broadside of 10 cannons, a decent 20 gun frigate as it were. However raising the channels means that the ship will be taller, which looks less good. So I guess if you really want to build a battleship this is not it . The specifications: 4 midsections for a large prefab hull. Capacity of 12 cannons (and such many cannon ports). Fully functional capstan Interior (although no easy access). Anyway, enjoy the pictures . The functional capstan: This is what really sets this MOC apart from other ships, as far as I know only my ships feature this kind of sophisticated capstan so you can guess it's something I like to brag about . The inner workings: Some on-board pictures; Ah, vintage doors and windows, I love them, perfect for a tall ship. The totally functional capstan . A look into the cabin from the stern. The cabin used to be accessible but when I started on the rigging it became complicated. I hope you liked it, I think I'm done with the good old prefab hull now, moving on to some bigger hulls now . Other ships with this tumblehome technique include my Brig-of-war, merchant brig, pirate brig and polacca. Interesting fact: There was only one barquentine indexed in the MOC ship index, the previous version of this ship. So you could say I'm the proud owner of the only barquentine at Classic Pirates .

    [MOC] Fríðr

Fríðr & Vilhjálmur por Guilherme Fadista, no Flickr Fríðr is a small but agile spaceship. Armed only with two front lasers, it's biggest strenght comes from the speed. That feature allowed it to escape countless conflicts with the Empire. Fríðr personal speeder por Guilherme Fadista, no Flickr From above, showing the engines, cockpit and the front lasers. Fríðr personal speeder por Guilherme Fadista, no Flickr From behind, the microengines that give Fríðr the speed and maneuverability. Fríðr personal speeder por Guilherme Fadista, no Flickr Greebles underneath! Vilhjálmur, the renegade clone por Guilherme Fadista, no Flickr Vilhjálmur, the pilot. A renegade Clone Commando who refused to execute Order 66 and now lives on the run, chased by his old comrades. I will reveal more of his story soon in another MOC. This ship was created using only parts from the Republic Attack Shuttle 8019 set, to complement another MOC I will be presenting soon. It all started with the 1x1 round plates attaching to the inferior part of the arch bricks. I created the engines and from there I started to build the rest. I'm not fully satisfied with the transition from the cockpit to the front, especially the sides, but I kept true to my "rule" of using only parts from one set. Out of curiosity, Fríðr means peace in icelandic, and Vilhjálmur is their version of my name EDIT 25/1/2014 - Here is the link to the first chapter of his adventures http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=91236
  16. Coruscant por Guilherme Fadista, no Flickr Coruscant, 18 BBY. One year after the execution of Order 66, I'm still on the run. Labeled a traitor to the Empire for refusing the orders of Supreme Chancelor Palpatine, my ever shortening life is now dedicated to undermining whatever imperial operations I can. From my contacts with the Skirata clan, who are also fugitives, I managed to find out that the emperor and his new apprentice are building a colossal space station, capable of destroying whole planets. My task is to obtain the exact location of that station, and as much information as possible to avoid that they finish it. DSCN2370 por Guilherme Fadista, no Flickr Even though I don't belong to the Grand Army, I still know enough officers to set up my plans. The problem is when the officers rat me out and get a team of Stormtroopers after you. But which one... Rasvaan? Pyotr? Javel? I will be sure in a while. The one who gets promoted, or at least is still alive and active; given that the others will be sentenced for treason and shipped off to Kessel. Or executed, if things go well. DSCN2367 por Guilherme Fadista, no Flickr Unfortunately, the Stormtroopers arrived before Javel had time to tell me how to access all of the holocron's information. Fortunately that Pyotr managed to warn us on time. When 20 guys armed to their teeth arrive with the goal of blasting you with lasers, you never lose time thinking what to do. You just get into the cockpit of your ship and get out of there ASAP. When you're safe you'll have time to think of a solution. What matters is to survive. Another corpse won't change anything. To be continued... For those interested, the ship has it's own presentation topic here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=91191

  18. It's kind of my first time coming here, and I hope it's alright to post this here as I did- Please correct me if there's anything I mistook! I've recently, due to my free time (Christmas vacation, yeehaw!) tried working with LLD, which I previously only used to toy with the Hero Factory line. (And Bionicle, for the sake of good memories :") ) I've been to Lego World in Zwolle, Holland a few times years ago, and since then have gotten and am still interested in the art of Lego MOCs. What struck me a while ago when I was viewing the Power Miners line, was that there'd never been a train of any sorts. A work train seemed somewhat like a fitting idea, no? Something to carry their supplies deeper into the tunnels from the surface, but defenitely not just a simple train- Something with guts, ready to take on the vicious rock monsters if any come by to wreak havoc! And so, I puzzled with some parts and ended up with this- This beastie is composed of three different segments; the locomotive and drill segment (the drill has the same mechanics as the Thunder Drill, AKA dark grey and light grey pieces spin oppositely) whose drill can be moved with the black cogwheels situated only just in front of the second segment- The armed segment! Able to both ride on the rail tracks and roll around on its outer wheels, It can also separate from the other two bases (of course) with the trusted old magnet connection system. The four drills (I may still change them to have flamethrower tips, to give some explanation for the two powercore tanks per drill!) pack quite a punch and can be used to fend off any playful Rock Monsters that may come by! The final segment is used to transport gas for the machines, both in the two large tanks and in smaller ones with no need for cargo cranes to transport them- Both sides have small fence doors that can be opened to enter the carriage and remove any cargo on board. From the other side; Then with the segments next to eachother; I'm also working on a little oil tower/station, but it doesn't feel too finished yet. (the train is just there for comparison, sorry) That's about it, thanks for your attention!
  19. I'm in need of advice (hopefully this is in the right place). My wife and I are starting our own modular city -- right now it's a little more than a colony, with four lego figures and a covered wagon (you get the idea) -- and have been looking at purchasing a few instructions. I bought the Video Game Shop instructions from Brick Builders Pro (http://www.brickbuilderspro.com/video-game-shop-pdf-instructions/), and my better half has been crawling Amazon looking for others. She found a few by the same guy, and has her heart set on this one: http://www.amazon.com/Build-Cute-Cream-Shop-ebook/dp/B007C4WJOM/ I checked the guy's website, and he doesn't sell this through there anymore (or any of the other 6 he has listed on Amazon -- Mellow Yellow Jazz Club, Fresh Flower Shop, Kelly Green Deli, The Brick Town House, and the Seafood Cafe). Amazon sells these as Kindle books, which I could check out using their Lending Library.. If I owned a Kindle. :P Has anyone checked any of these instructions out? Are they pretty much the same as his Game Shop? It's frustrating not being able to see them before I buy them, as Amazon has the first six pages as a preview, as opposed to the center of the instructions where you get a good bead on what's going on. Any and all input welcome. Should I just buy these and hope for the best? Or is there somewhere else I should be looking to purchase similar instructions?

    MOC: Jake Silksen

Pop pop ! Here comes an MOC I had forgotten for months. It's a Hero a friend and I designed back in Julk, which uses my DH entry's torso. Brickshelf / MOCPage Once again, comments and criticisms are appreciated. ;)
  21. Good tidings to you all. Please have a wee look over my entry for this years 'Expand the Winter Market Contest' and be gentle, as this is my first proper fully MOC on EB (why not use this great competition to 'pop my cherry'...so to speak) My entry depicts a pavilion/square for centre or focal point of the market. Overshadowed by a mature 'winter tree' acting as a natural canopy for the activities below. This year, the square holds host to the local 'Ice Sculpting Contest' between the visiting "Ice Road" truckers and the local lumberjacks. The snow has been cleared away and the contest is on!! They are at this moment finalising their sculptures with an array of power and hand tools, ready for display and judging tonight!!! Enjoy.... A father and son look on as the 'sculptors' frantically finish their work View (minus tree) of the sculptors at work Team Lumberjack and their aptly chosen 'Christmas Tree' entry. The "Ice Road" Truckers put the finishing touches to their Snowman entry The display lights are tested before the judging begins later Well there you have it guys, hope you like what I have tried to achieve here. There are more pictures on my brickshelf.... http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=537543 Good luck to everyone else thats entering this year... the standard as always is so high and should be a great contest. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!!

    MOC (Old) Space base 8x8 - LL918

Ciao, he is my last creation. Mars base LL918 Yesterday I spent five hours to catalogue my LEGO bricks, and I found a lots bricks from the old LEGO Spaces. So here is my little MOC, made only with LEGO Spaces bricks. Thanks for watching :) Ale "FunkyGallo"
  23. Diary of Alfadas I have sent two men to the north a few weeks ago. They didn't know of my plans. I hope they did their job well. I want to build a town there, but offcourse you knew that already. Now I am going to the North with one of my men. Today we were ambushed by a few Cyclopses, and they cut off one of my legs. Stupid Cyclops. I cut off his head. Then I saw the captain, or I think he was, he was wearing a cape, the others didn't. He walked towards me and raised his axe. "This is it, now I die", I thought. Then the soldier I brought with me woke up from his blow to the head. He run to the Cyclops captain and killed him. So we now can continue our journey. My soldier, Olaf, cut down a tree and made me a wooden leg. Now I look like one of those pirates from the stories. The pain is bearable. That was the story, now the pics we all have been waiting for: Yeah, I know, I look like a little girl crying there, but hey, I just got my leg cut of. You would cry and curse and scream too. I know what they say about me, that I don't see danger when I meet him, and it is true. I thought I could easily kill them. You know what happened next. That is it. To be continued.... EDIT: Here I am with my new leg.
  24. Hi everyone, I was watching Episode II the other day, and at the scene in the Geonosian droid factory I was thinking how action filled it was, and how great it would be if we could see it in a LEGO set. So I designed it. I tried to make it the LEGO-way, so playability for children was more important then being exactly in the movie. So I compressed the many deadly machines in one long conveyor belt. This is how it looks like: With Anakin, Padmé, a Geonosian warrior, and a droid (it is a droid factory after all). Moving the two tan arms (one is visible here) from left to right you can imitate the movement of the belt. Can you avoid the deadly machines alongside it? Evade the robotic arms that want to catch Anakin! Help the Jedi by pulling the ball, so you can knock down that nasty insect! (Meanwhile, the droid production is still in progress) Can Padmé avoid the cutting metal plates?
  25. Here I am again with another entry for the AoM challenge. This time it is the tower phase lll. Hope you like it, C&C are welcome! Here we are again, far in the cold north. I have found a large abandoned stone mine, so I went back to the tower to get my mate. When I arrived he was out of the tower (for the 2nd time in weeks). He was fighting imaginary monsters. I went to him and asked him to come with me to get stones for the tower. He said that he needed to practice his fighting skills more. I left him there and went back to the stone mine. I got as many stones as I could lift, went back to the tower and repeated that for about 20 times. I was very tired. I went to sleep. When I woke up, I saw that the wood in the tower had been replaced. I heard my mate making fighting noises. Still practicing, I thought, till I heard a weird scream. I jumped on my feet, grabbed my weapons, ran out and saw a couple of Cyclopses laying on the ground. One had an arrow in his back, another one had his head beheaded. I saw a dozen of them running away. "I don't think I want to be in the tower anymore, this is great!" my mate shouted. "Let's practice more!" Then he grabbed the head and put it on top of the flag. Here is the tower, now all stone. We are fighting on top of it. I love the tower now, just wish we had more food. Shot from above. He is a darned good fighter. One dead Cyclops. They made the noises we heard. And another one. The inside of the tower, with a fire. Another shot from above. We in front of the tower. That's it, our heroes did what their leader ordered them to do, build a nice tower and defend it with your live. Now all we need is their leader to show up at their tower and explain himself for the pointless order he gave. Hope you liked the story, but this isn't the end yet......
