  1. Good tidings to you all. Please have a wee look over my entry for this years 'Expand the Winter Market Contest' and be gentle, as this is my first proper fully MOC on EB (why not use this great competition to 'pop my cherry'...so to speak) My entry depicts a pavilion/square for centre or focal point of the market. Overshadowed by a mature 'winter tree' acting as a natural canopy for the activities below. This year, the square holds host to the local 'Ice Sculpting Contest' between the visiting "Ice Road" truckers and the local lumberjacks. The snow has been cleared away and the contest is on!! They are at this moment finalising their sculptures with an array of power and hand tools, ready for display and judging tonight!!! Enjoy.... A father and son look on as the 'sculptors' frantically finish their work View (minus tree) of the sculptors at work Team Lumberjack and their aptly chosen 'Christmas Tree' entry. The "Ice Road" Truckers put the finishing touches to their Snowman entry The display lights are tested before the judging begins later Well there you have it guys, hope you like what I have tried to achieve here. There are more pictures on my brickshelf.... http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=537543 Good luck to everyone else thats entering this year... the standard as always is so high and should be a great contest. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!!

    Winter Village: Food stall

Hi Everyone! This is my entry for the Expand the Winter Village Contest IV. When i see the theme, 'expand upon the theme of the Winter Village Market', the first thing that came to my mind is food. So i work on having more food/drink stall to add into the Winter market. My Food stall is a four sided stall, and each side is selling either food or drink (Beers, how can one miss it in a winter market )And to add more playability, i have make it that it can be open up and have all the stalls to be seen. This is an overall view of my food stall; A quick introduction of the stalls On the left is a pretzel stall selling tasty pretzels, and on the right is a macaroons stall selling colorful and sweet macaroons On the left is a sausage stall selling yummy Bratwurst sausage, and the right is a beer stall selling varieties of beer And this is the back view of the stall when open up Hope you guys like it :) And Merry Christmas! More pictures of the stall and how it is open up can be found at my flickr photosteam
  3. Hello Everybody! After four weeks of hard work on the design, some delivery delays and the final construction, I'd like to present you with my creation of a traditional german christmas pyramid. Here we go with a few pictures: I'm particularly pleased with the gear mechanism at the back of the pyramid, that allows it to spin! I'll try to post a video in the next few days, to show that function. Find two more pictures of the model on my flickr photostream. Good luck to every participant, thanks a lot to EB for organizing this great competition and merry christmas to all of you! So long, Jens
