  1. Hello community! Some of you may remember, the others don’t, but some years ago I actually ran a LEGO CUUSOO project that proposed to create a line of micro ships from your favorite game FTL: Faster Than Light. Despite having a huge following and even some articles on the media, and reaching the ultimate goal of 10.000 followers, the Lego Group did not pick the project for their LEGO Ideas set. I have promised myself that one day I will make the instructions available for the fans, and laid low for too long. But wait no more! I have put the PDF instructions for the micro ships from FTL: Faster Than Light on Gumroad! You heard that right, this is not a drill! The instructions are released in two forms: individually and in bundles! The three FTL Bundles cost 9$ and include a set of instructions for FTL ships plus a FREE instruction of game’s mascot ship The Kestrel! The one MEGA Bundle costs 22$ and includes all available FTL ship instructions AND A FREE instruction of The Kestrel! And finally, each PDF instruction is also sold separately for 5$. !Check out my Gumroad profile to see what’s available! But wait, there’s more! To provide an example of an instruction, and for the sake of self-advertisement, here’s an absolutely free of charge PDF Instruction with The Kestrel and a SUPER BONUS in form of an instruction of SSV Normandy from Mass Effect franchise: >>>CLICK HERE<<< Awesome! Now, a couple of disclaimers, just to be sure we’re on one page. 1. I do not own FTL Faster Than Light. It’s a game made by Subset Games aka Matthew Davis and Justin Ma, and y'all should know that, we're on their forums. The instructions are sold with their approval. 2. These are digital goods, which means there are no piece packages. Those are PDF files that show you how to assemble those micro ships with the pieces available, plus brick lists so you could easily buy what you need. 3. The choice of instructions included in the bundles is not random. With the help of Glen Bricker and polls he made during the CUUSOO campaign we’ve paired them up, so there’s that. Don’t request new bundles or ask to remake the existing ones. 4. Yes, the Kestrel is in every bundle. It’s free, so why not, right? 5. If you want me to make something that you like, go and check my Commissions info post. And now, shout-outs! Shout-out to Subset Games for making an awesome game that inspired me to make this all possible! Shout-out to Glen Bricker, who supported me through all the hardships of doing the CUUSOO project and beyond that. Go, check out and support his current project Brickyt! Shout-out to Stefan “Sastrei” Garcia for creating those amazing instructions! Go check out his Homeworld conversions! Shout-out to all of you who followed and supported LEGO FTL project on CUUSOO, and to those of you who over the years found me and told me that you are still waiting for the instructions to happen! Here’s to you, FTL and LEGO fans! And a little shout-out to my first customer artiestroke from Tumblr. You’re the MVP Roxy. :3

  3. Hello all Eurobrickers! Today is a great day for the community as a MOC is making its long awaited release to the public! That's right, Mortesv's UCS-Scale Nebulon-B Medical Frigate now has plans ready for purchase The purchase of these plans includes a professional grade manual totaling at 1,493 pages, the LDD files used to create the manual, an excel spreadsheet covering the 531 unique parts lot and their quantity, and a bonus LDD file that contains to scale models of fighter ships to put next to Nebulon when it is on display! So to recap, a purchase of these plans includes the original LDD files, a 1,493 page instruction manual, an excel spreadsheet parts list, and a bonus LDD file with to-scale fighters. The final price for this awesome bundle is 50 U.S Dollars ($50). If you are interested in purchasing a copy, please PM me or send an email to chrdvorak@hotmail.com The final MOC contains 5,728 pieces, which would make it the largest Lego Star Wars set if it were released on shelves. The ship measures about 4 feet long when completed! A lot of hard work went into this project on both the designing end and the manual end, and Mortesv and I are very excited to give everyone the chance to build this awesome MOC! Here are some images from the manual: May the force be with you and happy building!!!

    Modular Expert B models.

Hi all Just got into the whole modular building idea after purchasing a couple of the predesigned models, Cinema, and Detectives office. I've had a bash a MOCing using the very limited parts I have to join them. I was just wondering if there has been much interest in creating B models and instructions, from the parts in the modular sets, which retain the modular rules?
  5. Hello! I am happy to announce that my first book is now available! It's a LEGO book ... it's a LEGO train book! The book is in German and the title "LEGO Eisenbahn – Konzepte und Techniken für realistische Modelle" means "LEGO® trains – concepts and techniques for realistic models". I've received my first printed copy last week and it seems that the book is in stock at amazon.de and other online shops. The printed version has 294 pages, kindle and ebook versions are also available. Amazon.com also lists the kindle version and the paperback seems to be available from amazon marketplace shops. I've roughly translated the Table of contents, you can find it here: http://www.holgermat...o-eisenbahn.php And I just not did work on the book but also build a couple of trains which are featured in my book. The German Regional-Express was anounce here early this year: http://www.eurobrick...opic=119238&hl= As counterpart for such a modern train a more complex steam engine was needed. I've choosen the BR 10 once again. My first version from the year 2000 was missing moving pistons and rods. This is what my 2016 version of this great German steam engine looks like: Larger image over at flickr: https://www.flickr.c...157668271658135 On nearly 100 pages in the book you'll find various building instructions for various train MOCs. Due to page limitations some instructions could not be included in the book. But I am happy to offer PDF downloads of instructions for my new BR 10 and my little BR 80 on my website. Just check out the train section at: http://www.holgermat...s/en/trains.php 1000grüße HoMa

  7. This thread is about the ongoing tweaks to the Nebulon B I posted a few weeks back – and, more importantly, the instructions how to build it yourself! Here is the original post: http://www.eurobrick...pic=129607&st=0 Before we delve into the improvements there is a message from the instructions master himself: “To everyone who is interested in this absolutely gorgeous model, I am sure that you have heard the rumors of a professional grade instruction manual, and in the words of Han Solo, "It's true, all of it". It is indeed true that a manual will release, and I am currently working on it as I type! Along with the manual will be some awesome content, but we will save that surprise for later. Obviously the biggest thing in your mind is "When will it be done?" To answer that question, I am pushing myself to get this done 100% ready for release on June 1. What is keeping me from making the release date sooner is the fact that there is one tricky thing for me to do in terms of reverse engineering this model, but once that part is done, it will be very easy to finish the manual up. It is very possible that I can get the manual done before then, but let's keep it as June 1 for now in order to avoid pushing the date back at all.” I can’t wait for these instructions and will probably have to build it again :) Now to the tweaking After making the original post I looked at the pictures and I though that the model looked pretty good. However a few areas still stood out to me. In some places I simply discovered a better brick to convey something and in other places I found a bit more detail to put in. For example, I have changed a few bricks and added a few details to the top pod. The “gold bar” brick in lbg has come in quite handy. The overall detailing on the green pod is also better, but I am still considering a few bricks changes for some of the finer details. There are several tweaks like these, but there was one place in particular that still bugged me - the long subdivided pod near the bottom of the stalactite. Even when designing the first iteration of the ship I wasn’t completed satisfied with it. Back then it had been a little too small and I wanted more detail on it. During the rebuilding process I had gotten used to – even though now it was clearly too small and compared to the rest of the ship it lacked detail. Besides the size discrepancy, the pod on the film model consists of 82 narrow sections from one end to the other. My original version consists of 27, not so narrow sections, and that kept being an eyesore to me. So as an experiment I did this: Just by changing the small slopes with grilles I got the look of the sectioned pod. The way the old pod is built meant that the spacing between each of the grille bricks matches the width of each individual grille-legs. Thus each leg of each grille looks like a separate subsection. By tilting the core of the original pod the shape of the pod began to emerge. Now I just had to mirror this and put the detailing back on. Now the pod consists of 27 x 3 = 81 sections, just one from the studio model, and lives much better up to the detailing of the rest of the ship. In the picture above you can also see that the section below the long pod had been updated and made wider. This is the sections that among other things uses a racecar on the studio model :) I have also added more detail more piping and detailing elsewhere – and removed a bunch of studs. The backside has also gotten an overhaul especially the back of the fin, but I forgot to take the picture of the back before the model was put back on display. The antenna placement was also tweaked :) I hope you like the changes. They will make it in to the instructions as well. Any further changes will be updated in this thread. Next up: putting in lights ;) Lastly, I have gotten a few question about the stand. It is pretty stable also compared to some of the standard UCS stands. It just takes a little help from a friend to set it up. You hold the model while your friend places the legs - 20 seconds and you are set :) Watch this space for updates on the INSTRUCTIONS! Now with X-wings: More changes:
  8. Hi! This is my first (maybe second) post on this forum, but I've been following it for quite a long time now. I started building with Lego Technic about five years ago and now I would like to share with you the video of my latest creation which is this Motorized Bus. This model features: Drive, powered by two L-motors Steering, powered by a Servo Motor Opening front and back doors powered by two M-motors It also has a very detailed fake V6 engine in the back. I started building this model about a year ago. My spare time is rather limited since I'm a student, and I've been working on other projects as well, but there's still a lot of work behind this creation. The doors were the most challenging things to build and it took a very long time to get them right, I've rebuilt that mechanism at least five times. It was also very hard to make a mechanism that would fit under the roof of the bus and not be visible through the windows. Well, now it's finally finished and I'm quite happy with the end result so I hope you like it too and enjoy watching my video!
  9. Hi! Instructions for 42043 are missing from Lego website. However you search the result is always the same: nothing found. I wanted instructions for B model, but there are none. A or B. I've written to Lego customer service a couple of times, but ofcourse there is no answer. Could you people write them also so maybe, maaaaaybe they fix it? In the meantime, does anyone have instructions fo 42043 B model to send me? Thanks!
  10. I'm learning how to make instructions and I will put them here, I hope that some will like. I started with something easy the P199 Wheel loader. https://www.dropbox.com/s/gwt9qwrclj6uu2o/P199%20Wheel%20loader.pdf?dl=0
  11. G'day all. I have over the years done a couple of alternate models and attempted to make instructions for them, some better than others. All of them can be downloaded here or from my mocpages signature link below but I'll add an individual link with each one. My first attempt was a bulldozer from set 8043 quite some time ago. Argof made a topic here about it and I just stumbled upon an old bad quality vid and this is it. Instructions: Freespace or Bricksafe I was driving Hooklift trucks for a while and the Lego set 8052 came out so I had to RC one version and a full RC overkill another. This one I over did but didn't make instructions for it. I added an extra exhaust for duals to the instructions. Instructions are done by LDD here or the lxf is attached. So being a truck freak person I pulled out an old set 5580 Highway rig and jammed in an XL and M motor to RC it but keeping it looking as close to the original as possible. Instructions: Dropbox or Bricksafe. Next one is an alternate model of the set 8297 into a tow truck. I put he M motor on top of the fake V8 to look like a supercharger but its gear driven to the winch and bypasses the V8. Instructions: Freespace or Bricksafe I got the lego set 9398 and turned it into an RC quadbike. nato8181 (Renato) made a topic here on Eurobrics about it. Instructions: Freespace or Bricksafe My next was for a competition here (a while ago) and I used the Lego set 9394 jet plane and turned it into a helicopter. Here is the thread for it. The goal was to have a pull and release trigger to spin the rotars and still have them to be able to spin freely. Instructions: Bricksafe This one I did for fun, I call it the lowrider logger. The idea was to make two versions of logging trucks from one set and no motors. The first was a truck and dog, the second was a folding B double with a loader. A model B model Instructions: Bricksafe 8052 RC.lxf
  12. First of all I hope this doesnt sound too much an advertisment... For the past few weeks I have been gathering and categorising my Lego digital designer files and I managed to prepare a package of 250+ files, which ranges from technic motorcycles, supercars, off roaders, lots and lots of axles, suspension systems, mechanisms, gearboxes, reference files and so on... The package can be downloaded here: http://www.bricksafe...r-model-package And for more info please check out the following video: As you can see in the video I also made a new blog and decided to offer costum model support in order to expand and improve my activites. Thank you for all the support over the years
  13. Hi guys, just finished my latest build after almost year long break from lego. It,s 8x4x4 truck inspired by Mercedes Actros. I know, another truck... But I ordered thouse weels and they seems to be great for trucks in medium scale. Features: 4x2 Drive by L motor 4x2 Steering by servo motor with different angle (great turning radius) Manual 2 speed gearbox Openable doors Liftable cabin I would like to build more trucks in this scale! Any suggestions, what to build? I was thiking cherry picker or dumper for start? I will propably also create LDD model if anyone interested? PS: Sorry for photo quality...
  14. Hello lego fans! As that my baby like lego set 4896 I would like build alternative models that i found in net. Maybe you guys have some instructions or ideas how to build those sets?
  15. Lego M1 Light bulldozer by Tommy Styrvoky, on Flickr I present my last model of the year, it's nothing too special. During the past few months at college, I have been working on a redesigned static model of my M1 light tractor, or the M1 Light Bulldozer. This vehicle is a re-designated Caterpillar D4 used by the US Navy's Seabees. This model is my first to have full PDF instructions made in Lpub. This was a intensive process, first I built the model, then seperate it into steps. Unfortunately I don't know how to work with sub models in Bricksmith... or if that is even a feature, so maybe in my next model I make instructions for I will use a different windows program that has sub models. The main focus when building this model was to have a highly detailed static vehicle. If I were to motorize this, it would affect the form of the bulldozer. I prioritized the detail of the engine and running gear for the tracks, as most of the model is flat and doesn't have much detail to break up the surface of it. Surprisingly it was somewhat difficult to find lots of reference material on this vehicle, the US military had lots of different bulldozers in use during WWII and post war. I had to rely mostly on the civilian Caterpillar D4 U7 or CAT D4 2T. Instructions Photos of the real vehicle Lego M1 Light bulldozer by Tommy Styrvoky, on Flickr
  16. Hello, I would like to present to you my second Modular building that I did in April this year. I wanted to present it with building instructions, that's why it took me so long to show it here. The building instructions are available for free at Rebrickable: http://rebrickable.c...lar-flower-shop The flower shop is located at the ground floor with small area for customers and behind the counter the shop keepers place. The entrance to the building is from the front for the customers and there is also back door for the owner. The owner's apartment is on the first floor - it is one big room, just as the ground floor. Then, there is removable roof. The instructions differ slightly to what's shown on the pictures as I didn't have all the right bricks at the time of building. The details changed are pavement colour to match official modulars, some gutter reinforcement and carpet on the first floor is now one plate higher. So.. here goes picture, I hope you'll like it :) First, my modular in all its glory ;) Now, the ground floor, the actual flower shop: Here comes the first floor apartment: ... and the roof: Here are all three modules together: and here's how it looks like with my first modular - the Ice Cream Parlor (http://www.eurobrick...opic=111129&hl=) If you want to have a look at some more pictures, please go to by Bricksafe gallery: http://www.bricksafe...lar_Flower_Shop
  17. Nov. 2015 Initial Post: Hello Eurobrickers! I have a great announcement for you guys, especially those who are interested in Cavegod's UCS AT-AT. Over the past month or so, I have worked a countless number of hours in order to bring all of you guys something that this MOC deserved ever since its creation, a proper instruction manual. Yes, that's right, the famed issues of LDD will no longer be apart of this project thanks to this manual. Now I'm sure you're wondering, how big is a 6000+ piece manual? Well, to answer that question, the manual is a massive 1,089 pages. No that is not a typo, ONE THOUSAND AND EIGHTY NINE PAGES!!! A special thanks goes out to both Cavegod and drdavewatford. Cavegod designed a masterful MOC, one of the greatest ever, and drdavewatford was kind enough to allow me use of some of his photos throughout the manual. This could not be achieved without you guys! Enough of me talking, here are some images directly from the manual: (Initial images removed for clarity on update) Oct. 2020 Instructions Update: Almost five years after its initial release, I'm thrilled to announce that the remastered instructions for Cavegod's AT-AT are complete! The instructions feature updates that make this build SO much easier and affordable. The most important things that are included in the updated instructions are: Redesigned Legs. These new legs have a technic interior and erase any issues that occurred with the original leg stability Reinforced Body Frame. The handle is now incredibly sturdy and the technic structure that is housed within the body is significantly more sturdy Cheaper Pieces. After several years it was time to swap out the expensive parts. The parts and MOC are now much more affordable. Display Base. What MOC would be complete without a display base? I designed a large black display base that includes technic framing to snap in the feet, a much better alternative to the old method of tires within the feet. The base also features several snow-covered rocks to imitate a Hoth landscape The MOC now consists of 8,935 pieces and measures: 34" long 18" wide 30" tall The instructions are now reduced down to 550 pages. More information about getting the instructions and free access to the parts list can be found here Pete and I are super pumped to be sharing the update with you, and I cannot understate how much better they've made the build experience and final MOC. If you already own the instructions after getting them from me in the past, you should have received an email detailing how to obtain the updated instructions. If I missed you just shoot me a PM or contact me via email at alloutbrick@gmail.com and I'll get your upgrade over to you. Here's some photos of the update:

    Classic Space speeder bike

I've been building speeder bikes around the basic trike body for a while, this is another one. I'm kind of proud of the front end. And this is a build instruction thing and a parts list. Perspective? no thanks. Proportions? NO WE WILL HAVE NONE OF THAT EITHER
  19. Update: Information regarding modules from 2018 onwards are represented after @Blakbird's original post. I want to keep BlakBird's section of the post as he left it, to honour the immense amount of work he put into it. ( @Ankoku @9v system) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Original Post Start ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- G%$ #@&% it. Thanks to Akiyuki, The Rebricker, and the rest of you &%$*ers, I've now caught the GBC bug and it is going to cost me a lot of time and money. It all started with Akiyuki. Well, GBC didn't start with Akiyuki, but I was more or less "meh" on the whole concept until he came along. His ingenious mechanical solutions are mesmerizing, perplexing, and wonderful. Although I admired them from the start, I figured there was more or less no chance of me replicating them from the videos, especially since the one I was most interested in was also the most complicated: the ball factory. My involvement therefore remained stagnant (and non-existent) for a couple of years until The ReBricker showed up and proved that you really could reverse engineer the Ball Factory and then went one step further and posted video instructions for the whole thing. "Fine", I thought, "I'll just build that one." A few months of LDraw modeling, part collecting, building, testing, and display case building later I was hooked. It was one of the greatest building experiences I've ever had. This forum has repeatedly wished for a comprehensive set of instructions for the GBC modules of Akiyuki, and I've decided it is my responsibility to help make your dreams come true. With that in mind, I've compiled a list of all of Akiyuki's 31 non-Mindstorms modules with the goal of creating and/or finding complete PDF instructions for as many of them as possible and compiling the resources here. I've made a lot of progress already. Here is the list along with whatever I know about building material available. I'm a stickler for accuracy, so I'm trying to get as close to Akiyuki's originals as possible. I already have PDF instructions ready for 4 of them and just need to test them out. As I build each model, I'll post a mini review about what I've learned and then I'll post links to the instructions and parts lists so anyone else can build them too. (Update: See bulleted list above for which instruction files are currently available.) As always, help is welcome. If you have successfully built any of these modules and are willing to share your information, please let me know here. In particular, I need LDraw files to make instructions. Beyond the Clouds

Hiccup and his best buddy, Toothless, from How to Train your Dragon 2, are high above the clouds in search of new adventures, as they map down the undiscovered "brick" world. This is my 6th version build of Toothless so far. Anyway, has it been almost four years since I've posted anything to this site? Jeez, that will have to change. I've made quite a lot since then, although I don't build much as I used to. Since my work in the past has been popular, I took the time and effort to make instructions to Toothless, for those who are interested. However, I've never made my instructions public before, so some parts could be hard to read. The instructions link to Brickshelf and Imgur .

  24. Since I'm a new Technic builder I'm not so good with steering, anyone have any instructions for axles I could use? Thanks!
  25. Sorry, couldn't resist with that title!!! Just a quick note to let you guys know that I have a lot of instructions coming your way, some paid and some free! As promised, the Menck Cable Bucket Excavator is now available to build. And I'm really excited to see if you guys like it, and also some smart people to improve the controls/relationship between the lower and upper arm. Any questions please ask here, as I don't check rebrickable comments that much. Cheers. Yet to be complete is the Rocket buggy, and the GTHO. Both of which it is pretty much publication to do.
