Hello, I am looking to build a Minifigure scale Lego Millennium Falcon with a detailed interior. Though I am not very good at designing in Lego form (or Lego Digital Designer), so i was wondering if anyone had any instructions for this or if anyone has a LDD file for this that would great. Also I was wondering how i would go about building a project like this. Thanks Louis

Hi Everyone, This is my first post in a very long time. I've had a prolonged hiatus from building MOCs (since having children) and until recently I hadn't really built anything on my own since about 2013. I discovered Tim Johnson's excellent New Elementary blog in December and have been an avid reader ever since. During January, Tim put out a call for new contributors for one of his 'parts festivals', this one revolving around the usage of the newly introduced Nexo Knights power shield (part no.27255). I was one of the lucky few to be selected to contribute and have made a couple of builds now. Most recently, for the May 4th celebrations I built a midi? scale Millennium Falcon, using "nexogons" as an inner structure to build off of. I thought I would share it here for your comments and also hopefully to introduce some of you to New Elementary. There are more pics and a bit of description here. I also designed some stickers for the cockpit and rear thrusters. I hope you like my attempt at the falcon and look forward to seeing any comments. Thanks!

There’s a steppe in Southern Russia that boasts a particularly rare falcon. Through some sort of genetic mutation of the red-footed falcon, once every 1,000 years, a gray-footed falcon is born. But it can’t reproduce, so this one of a kind falcon will die out at the end of the bird’s lifespan of ~14 years. However, one of the cool things about this once a millenary bird is its nest. Let’s get a closer look. See, unlike it’s red-footed brethren, this falcon’s nest is...hang on, what’s that? Huh, well that’s actually more interesting than the bird. Let’s talk about that instead. Name: Millennium Falcon Microfighter Set Number: 75295 Pieces: 101 Price: $9.99 | £8.99 | 9.99€ Minifigs: 1 Theme: Cynical Scrutiny. Oh, of the set? Star Wars. Having extracted this from the falcon’s nest, let’s check out a ship from this 8th Series of Microfighters. Trivia Question: can anyone name every ship in a single series of these microfighters? You cannot, because I cannot. Anyway, since I’m writing four of these reviews (check back in the next three days), I’ll not mention anything more about the box design on this one, other than to say there’s a TIE fighter below the Falcon that Han seems unaware of. Watch out Han! It’s literally shooting at you! I guess he survived. Or this is before he’s blown up. The thing to note about this is the two sets at the bottom. One of them is cool and kinda original. The other one is this set. More on that later. Here’s what you get in the box. And to answer your question, Terry, no, these bags still aren’t edible. I know, bud, I know. And it’s Han. Default Han, as I’ll call him. He’s appeared in the second LEGO Death Star (no, not Death Star II), and the bad, small Mos Eisley Cantina, and the good, large Mos Eisley Cantina. And now this. I’m not sure anyone’s collection is really hurting for a Han Solo these days. Sometimes I sneeze and a Han Solo comes out. Here is an important step - the first one! No going back now. Not when you use glue as I do. Makes a good sealer and a mid-build snack. And now the rest of the owl. Falcon. Whatever bird you want. It’s, I mean, it’s a small Millennium Falcon. LEGO didn’t exactly reinvent the wheel here. The sides are actually pretty snazzy, if you’re into sides. I’m more of a vertices guy myself. Still, one has to appreciate the detailing here, even if a good 80% of it is imagination. Atop the bird, there’s two of these little disc launchers. At least they’re not flick-fires, am I right? Are we still making fun of flick-fires? Pros and cons of these launchers - easy to shoot, but also easy to loose the disc. Also, if, for instance, you shoot it across your room where you left a half-eaten pepperoni pizza, make sure you retrieve it. Otherwise you might be in the doctor’s office trying to explain that you were writing a review for a LEGO Millennium Falcon microfighter, and that’s 4 whole words you’re going to now have to explain to her. They said the disc would pass naturally, and that’s good for my health insurance coverage. Or lack of it. Heyo, single-payer health care! Anyway, under this ship, you’ve got these smooth roundboys. Have you ever put these on an Air Hockey table? It’s like a challenge mode. Also - Air Hockey tables are much better at swallowing LEGO than I am. I’m actually a fan of these hinged blue parts. Did you know this was actually a function of the Falcon in the movies? It’s for aerodynamics when in planets’ atmospheres. It was only shown off once, in the 1980 comic Star Wars 28: Cavern of the Crawling Death, when Han and Chewbacca are forced to land on Orleon. See, I’m educational, too! Now, let’s get into the meat and potatoes, which, coincidentally, are very easy to cut thanks to Urban Farmer Wüsthof Knives! 7-piece set now available from Williams Sonoma! I don’t really...get the point of microfighters. That’s maybe a bit of a broad statement, because LEGO sets don’t necessarily have a point so much as they’re a toy or a hobby. But at least there’s usually a selling point. These days, it’s boiled down to either minifigs or a cool set. LEGO Piano? Fun build. LEGO Harry Potter sets? All about those Hogwarts kids. So for a Microfighter Millennium Falcon, not only a set that’s come out twice before, but a set that includes one of the more generic Star Wars minifigs, it feels like they had to some sort of queue. “There must be two Microfighters in each line, so I guess we’ll go with the Falcon again.” Not to mention it’s basically the same build. There’s a few other Star Wars sets that have forced me to ask this question, like the Landspeeder situation or Snowspeeder recolor - what’s the point? It’s even more exacerbated with a $10 set like a Microfighter. You can generally make a case for other Microfighters, mainly for the minifig, but for a common Han Solo? Eh. I’m not saying being a LEGO designer is simple. But from a consumer standpoint, it seems lazy to rehash a set once every three years, especially a set that can be essentially described as a stocking stuffer. But maybe that’s why it can be so lazy, because it’s something my grandma grabs for me because she knows I like LEGO and Star Wars, and she doesn’t want to spend $30 on a real set. So I’m giving this set a 1/5. It brings nothing new to the table, and I can’t see anyone being particularly jazzed about getting their hands on this set. That’s strikes me as a failure. But what do you guys think? Are you a fan of this Millennium Falcon microfighter? Or an inexpensive Han Solo figure? How do you feel about releasing what is basically the same set every three years? Let me know below, and make sure you vote on the poll! And big thanks to LEGO for providing me with a copy of this set, and Eurobricks for being such a great community. JackJonespaw out, RAAAAAAAAAAA!

My first MOC since ages I was watching Episode II today and was a little bit upset that there is no update for the coruscant speeder pursuit. So I decided to make my own Coruscant Speeder. And with the first pictures of Han Solo sets appearing, I thought: "Lets make it Han Solos Speeder." And here it is. Totally flimsy. That is, because I only used the parts of set #75918. That made the building challenge a bit harder I hope you enjoy it.

Hi guys, just a quick update but a micro build I am very pleased with! I have wanted to build a micro Falcon for sometime now and this actually took a bit longer than I had hoped but I am really happy with the end result. Untitled by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr Its only 4x4 but I have managed to get in all the details that make the Falcon the iconic ship it is. Untitled by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr The base wasn't part of my original idea but I had the Falcon on a tan plate just as a random support and suddenly thought it would look quite cool if there was a micro Mos Eisley below. Untitled by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr The colour of the Falcon is white because as a kid to me it was always white, the toys might have got the colours wrong but they just stuck with me!

The Cloud City playset from Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Backs…https://ideas.lego.com/projects/163944 I wanted to design a fun and playable set which would include the ionic scenes from the Empire Strikes Back film. The aim was to create a set that resembles the shape of the cloud city and offers a playable platform like the Death Star play set. I’m a keen Star Wars fan and as Cloud City hasn’t seen a new set since 2003 I thought I would have a go. I hope you enjoy and welcome your creative input into my project. Thanks for your vote…

Hi guys, here is a little MOC I put together. IMG_20161014_164521 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr I had a few spare bits lying around and had recently acquired a Tauntaun so I thought I would put it to good use! DSC_1899 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr DSC_1942 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr I wanted to make this as movie accurate as possible so that is why the colour palette on this build is more grey, to reflect the night time setting of the scene, rather than the traditional tan colours of Jabba's Palace. I should point out the gungan head isnt movie accurate but I put that in for a bit of fun! IMG_20161014_192613 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr However I did also build a tan version using parts from the Jabba's Palace and Mos Eisley official sets. IMG_20161009_221534 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr Which do you prefer, tan or grey? Hope you enjoy and as always any feedback, advice or suggestions for new MOCs are always welcome!

This is a project I've been working on from time to time during the summer. A bobblehead is a toy figure with an oversized head that is connected to the body with a spring. When you lightly tap on its head it wobbles (or bobbles) back and forth for a while. I was thinking about how a bobblehead could be made by LEGO bricks, and how the wobbling effect could be built. There is no real LEGO spring that can be used for this purpose, so I had to think of something else to use. After some trial and error I found a simple technic using an LEGO antenna piece which creates a wobbling effect that works really well. The video below shows how it works in reality. I created an Ideas project of it as well, so please have a look and I would appreciate if you gave it your support. I decided to recreate six characters from the original Star Wars movie into LEGO bobbleheads - Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Boba Fett, Darth Vader and a Stormtrooper. The head can also be turned in all directions like in the image below. Hope you enjoy it!

Hi there guys, this is my first post and I am sharing with you my first ever MOC! I would love to know your thoughts as well as any tips, advice or guidelines to help me with future builds. The courtyard is a two set build of the official 'Battle on Takodana' set and can actually slide out from the front as its own piece. The forest to the side of the castle (representing where Kylo Ren confronts Rey for the first time) is also its own piece and can slide out if you want to use it as a separate element. The main tower lifts off as does the entire roof section on the left hand side revealing more tables, patrons and the performance area for the band. The turret on the right side is hinged and hidden inside is a bluetooth speaker that plays 'Jabba Flow' when its turned on. I have included the room where Rey finds Luke's lightsaber. To access the room there is a vertical sliding door and the roof piece lifts off too. To populate the Castle I have mixed and matched a few of my favourite characters from the Star Wars universe, some of which are not exactly movie accurate but fun anyway, such as Hera and Sabine from 'Rebels' recruiting new members to join their crew. Greedo in the back hoping to capture another bounty and lando enjoying a drink with Figrin D'an. As for the new characters I have custom made the Crimson Corsair and GA97 (although thats really just 21B with a new paint job!) Bazine Netal... And Maz's band (including the fender guitar Sudswater Dillifay Glon is playing) Finally I added some more plants and water as a bit of detailing. Overall I have tried to include as many elements from the film as possible whilst keeping some fun elements within the MOC. I have also used a mix of bricks and colours as I was trying to give the impression that the castle is very old and has been patched up over hundreds of years...hope that comes across and it doesnt just look messy?! Like I say this was my first ever MOC however now I have well and truly got the building bug it wont be the last! Hope you enjoy!

Hello all, just a warning- this is pic heavy. I don't think there were any restrictions on that in the guidelines, but oh well. I also would like to apologize for the annoying shadow of my head in some of the shots; that's just how it turned out with my lighting setup. Now a brief prelude. It is a period of Galactic Civil War all throughout the Galaxy, around one year after the famous Battle of Endor. General and Princess Leia Organa has sent Han Solo and his wookiee friend Chewbacca to recover stolen credits on the planet Bnar, a system in the Blaxant Sector, a space deep in Imperial territory. Han and his small squadron had almost managed to escape the imperial outpost when an imperial dropship full of the dreaded Storm Troopers arrived on the scene. Figless. Just the base and terrain. Well that's a wrap. Thanks for looking everyone and may the force be with you... always ~~Strider~~ Sorry, forgot to mention in the title- this is in the Large Category

Name: Han Solo (Hoth) Theme: Star Wars Year: 2013 Pieces: 5 Minifigs: 1 Price: (free as part of 'May The Forth Be With You' promotion) Intro: I've always been impressed with the amazing reviews found here on eurobricks, and I've always wanted to do one myself... So thought I'd give it a go and start with a nice easy one! Here we have the Han Solo in his Hoth Outfit from Empire Strikes Back- which is this years promotional figure free with certain purchases from the Lego store. There has been a lot of debate/ controversy over the actual colour of Han's Hoth jacket over the years. Originally the Kenner action figure from 1980 had a dark blue jacket, which is the colour the jacket 'appears' to be in some shots of the film. When you actually see the prop jacket from the film it quite clearly is dark brown, and there have been many different action figures over the years since with either brown or blue jackets. To date Lego's version of Han has only been outfitted with the blue jacket, with just a change in design of hood to differentiate the two... But now we have a brown jacket version- which from what I have read on forums so far continues to cause debate over the 'true' colour of the coat. For what its worth I think I ultimately prefer Blue as the jacket colour, but thats mostly due to the memories of the old Kenner action figure which I still own from my childhood! Polybag: Usual Polybag with the Yoda header seen with all the current Star Wars products this year. Polybag Front and Back Its worth noting that despite the colour on the packaging the hood does match the jacket colour correctly- very strange that they left the image as is on the front... Polybag Contents Minifig: Not much assembly required as only the minifig in the set. We get Han resplendent in his Hoth outfit, along with a spare hairpiece so you can show Han with or without his hood. Unfortunately Han is weaponless in this set, so he's gonna have to rely on Chewie if he comes across any Probe Droids! Front, Back, and Alternate Faces Han has a really nice double sided face. One side has a great 'And I thought they smelled bad on the outside!' grimace on it, the other has his face covered and his goggles down for when he has his endure the freezing temperatures on Hoth. Comparison with Blue Coat Han My original Hoth Han is boxed away at the moment, but here is the New version (right) with the last Han (left) also with the new style hood. Han and his Tauntaun* (*Tauntaun not included in polybag!) And a couple of shots with Han and his Tauntaun in action! Ratings Now I know that from feedback I've seen that a lot of people think this figure is a bit of a letdown after the last couple of 'may the forth' promos. I would agree that he would probably have fit in better in the last Hoth set that got released, rather than an exclusive promotional figure. But that said I really like the figure so I've rated him highly, and as an original trilogy collector Im glad to have him in my collection. Playability: 10/10 Hard one to rate, but ultimately I think minifigures are endlessly playable so Im giving full marks on this one. Design: 10/10 No new parts, but I think the design on this latest update of Hoth Han really nails it. The double sided head is excellent as well. Price: 7/10 Well technically this is a free figure when you spend over a certain threshold- though these are already appearing in the wild. I got mine from a trade, so depending on what you spend to obtain this figure I would adjust the price scale accordingly. Minifigure: 10/10 Well the whole set is the minifigure, personally I really like him- so full marks again on this. Parts: 8/10 Nice that you get the spare hair piece so you can have Han with or without hood, but a blaster is sorely missed here. Overall Score: 45/50 Well thanks for reading my first review- let me know what you think of both the review and the figure. And I thought they smelled bad... On the outside!!
