    Star Wars LEGO Photography

Hey all, Thought id share some of my photographs of some of my Minifigs, really gotton into photography the last year or so- and my star wars lego has been really fun to shoot 'The Duel' 'Imposter!' 'Uncle Owen!... This R2 unit has a bad motivator!' loads more up on my flickr & RedBubble pages
  2. My first MOC since ages I was watching Episode II today and was a little bit upset that there is no update for the coruscant speeder pursuit. So I decided to make my own Coruscant Speeder. And with the first pictures of Han Solo sets appearing, I thought: "Lets make it Han Solos Speeder." And here it is. Totally flimsy. That is, because I only used the parts of set #75918. That made the building challenge a bit harder I hope you enjoy it.

My brother and I had just been talking and setting Legos down to see if anything struck us. Star Wars Cloud City 2017/18?

The Cloud City playset from Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Backs…https://ideas.lego.com/projects/163944 I wanted to design a fun and playable set which would include the ionic scenes from the Empire Strikes Back film. The aim was to create a set that resembles the shape of the cloud city and offers a playable platform like the Death Star play set. I’m a keen Star Wars fan and as Cloud City hasn’t seen a new set since 2003 I thought I would have a go. I hope you enjoy and welcome your creative input into my project. Thanks for your vote…

    Han Solo Blaster 1:1 Scale

Hello everyone, this is my second post here about a model that I am very proud of that I designed a while back. I present to you, Han Solo's DL-44 blaster replicated in 1:1 scale using Lego bricks. The model was blogged about on Bricknerd. Link for anyone interested is below: Link More Photos More Photos More Photos More Photos Comments and constructive criticism are appreciated as always.
  6. After a whole lot of filming and editing, here's my video review of 75180, Rathtar Escape. Very interesting set. Final set I have to build and review is The Arrowhead, which should be coming out in a couple of days time.
  7. Hi Everyone, This is my first post in a very long time. I've had a prolonged hiatus from building MOCs (since having children) and until recently I hadn't really built anything on my own since about 2013. I discovered Tim Johnson's excellent New Elementary blog in December and have been an avid reader ever since. During January, Tim put out a call for new contributors for one of his 'parts festivals', this one revolving around the usage of the newly introduced Nexo Knights power shield (part no.27255). I was one of the lucky few to be selected to contribute and have made a couple of builds now. Most recently, for the May 4th celebrations I built a midi? scale Millennium Falcon, using "nexogons" as an inner structure to build off of. I thought I would share it here for your comments and also hopefully to introduce some of you to New Elementary. There are more pics and a bit of description here. I also designed some stickers for the cockpit and rear thrusters. I hope you like my attempt at the falcon and look forward to seeing any comments. Thanks!
  8. Hello, I am looking to build a Minifigure scale Lego Millennium Falcon with a detailed interior. Though I am not very good at designing in Lego form (or Lego Digital Designer), so i was wondering if anyone had any instructions for this or if anyone has a LDD file for this that would great. Also I was wondering how i would go about building a project like this. Thanks Louis
  9. Hi guys, here is a little MOC I put together. IMG_20161014_164521 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr I had a few spare bits lying around and had recently acquired a Tauntaun so I thought I would put it to good use! DSC_1899 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr DSC_1942 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr I wanted to make this as movie accurate as possible so that is why the colour palette on this build is more grey, to reflect the night time setting of the scene, rather than the traditional tan colours of Jabba's Palace. I should point out the gungan head isnt movie accurate but I put that in for a bit of fun! IMG_20161014_192613 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr However I did also build a tan version using parts from the Jabba's Palace and Mos Eisley official sets. IMG_20161009_221534 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr Which do you prefer, tan or grey? Hope you enjoy and as always any feedback, advice or suggestions for new MOCs are always welcome!
  10. Hi guys, just a quick update but a micro build I am very pleased with! I have wanted to build a micro Falcon for sometime now and this actually took a bit longer than I had hoped but I am really happy with the end result. Untitled by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr Its only 4x4 but I have managed to get in all the details that make the Falcon the iconic ship it is. Untitled by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr The base wasn't part of my original idea but I had the Falcon on a tan plate just as a random support and suddenly thought it would look quite cool if there was a micro Mos Eisley below. Untitled by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr The colour of the Falcon is white because as a kid to me it was always white, the toys might have got the colours wrong but they just stuck with me!

    [MOC] Star Wars Bobbleheads

This is a project I've been working on from time to time during the summer. A bobblehead is a toy figure with an oversized head that is connected to the body with a spring. When you lightly tap on its head it wobbles (or bobbles) back and forth for a while. I was thinking about how a bobblehead could be made by LEGO bricks, and how the wobbling effect could be built. There is no real LEGO spring that can be used for this purpose, so I had to think of something else to use. After some trial and error I found a simple technic using an LEGO antenna piece which creates a wobbling effect that works really well. The video below shows how it works in reality. I created an Ideas project of it as well, so please have a look and I would appreciate if you gave it your support. I decided to recreate six characters from the original Star Wars movie into LEGO bobbleheads - Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Boba Fett, Darth Vader and a Stormtrooper. The head can also be turned in all directions like in the image below. Hope you enjoy it!
  12. Hi there guys, this is my first post and I am sharing with you my first ever MOC! I would love to know your thoughts as well as any tips, advice or guidelines to help me with future builds. The courtyard is a two set build of the official 'Battle on Takodana' set and can actually slide out from the front as its own piece. The forest to the side of the castle (representing where Kylo Ren confronts Rey for the first time) is also its own piece and can slide out if you want to use it as a separate element. The main tower lifts off as does the entire roof section on the left hand side revealing more tables, patrons and the performance area for the band. The turret on the right side is hinged and hidden inside is a bluetooth speaker that plays 'Jabba Flow' when its turned on. I have included the room where Rey finds Luke's lightsaber. To access the room there is a vertical sliding door and the roof piece lifts off too. To populate the Castle I have mixed and matched a few of my favourite characters from the Star Wars universe, some of which are not exactly movie accurate but fun anyway, such as Hera and Sabine from 'Rebels' recruiting new members to join their crew. Greedo in the back hoping to capture another bounty and lando enjoying a drink with Figrin D'an. As for the new characters I have custom made the Crimson Corsair and GA97 (although thats really just 21B with a new paint job!) Bazine Netal... And Maz's band (including the fender guitar Sudswater Dillifay Glon is playing) Finally I added some more plants and water as a bit of detailing. Overall I have tried to include as many elements from the film as possible whilst keeping some fun elements within the MOC. I have also used a mix of bricks and colours as I was trying to give the impression that the castle is very old and has been patched up over hundreds of years...hope that comes across and it doesnt just look messy?! Like I say this was my first ever MOC however now I have well and truly got the building bug it wont be the last! Hope you enjoy!
  13. Star Wars Anthology Contest - Small (32x32) Entry The Regent of King Prana - 01 by Ryan McBryde, on Flickr A job for King Prana himself! Han's excitement was surpassed only by that of his new intern Steve. They would need lots of interns now to bring in so many Rathtars. Soooo many Rathtars, he could hardly believe how lucky he was to get such a job. Times had been tough, and Chewie wouldn't quit grumbling about their diminished status in the galaxy. Han's loyal first mate was still complaining that only ten years ago they would have been meeting with King Prana himself, not some lowly satellite Regent of Exploration and Acquisition. The Regent of King Prana - 02 by Ryan McBryde, on Flickr The Regent's headquarters was a busy operation. Explorers were always coming and going. The living quarters were rarely occupied for more the few days needed to personally debrief their missions and resupply their ships' stores. Many of the explorers were former Imperial Survey Corps officers and pilots who were use to the independence of their ships and the short, unwanted intermissions at home. The Regent of King Prana - 06 by Ryan McBryde, on Flickr The only permanent staff were the bellhops... The Regent of King Prana - 05 by Ryan McBryde, on Flickr the Regent's personal security detail... The Regent of King Prana - 04 by Ryan McBryde, on Flickr mechanics, shuttle operators, and the facility concierge. The Regent of King Prana - 03 by Ryan McBryde, on Flickr I hope y'all enjoyed my MOC. If you're in Texas July 8-10, come see it at BrickFiesta. C&C appreciated.
  14. Hello all, just a warning- this is pic heavy. I don't think there were any restrictions on that in the guidelines, but oh well. I also would like to apologize for the annoying shadow of my head in some of the shots; that's just how it turned out with my lighting setup. Now a brief prelude. It is a period of Galactic Civil War all throughout the Galaxy, around one year after the famous Battle of Endor. General and Princess Leia Organa has sent Han Solo and his wookiee friend Chewbacca to recover stolen credits on the planet Bnar, a system in the Blaxant Sector, a space deep in Imperial territory. Han and his small squadron had almost managed to escape the imperial outpost when an imperial dropship full of the dreaded Storm Troopers arrived on the scene. Figless. Just the base and terrain. Well that's a wrap. Thanks for looking everyone and may the force be with you... always ~~Strider~~ Sorry, forgot to mention in the title- this is in the Large Category
  15. In the fantastic novel Rebel Dawn by A. C. Crispin, we get to witness the reason for Han's dislike of the Rebel Alliance. His lover Bria Tharen, leader of the Corellian rebel cell "Red Hand Squadron", turns on him and his companions Chewbacca and Lando after looting the treasure chamber of the T'landa Til priests on the Hutt-controlled world of Ylesia. High Priest Teroenza is murdered by Boba Fett by order of Durga Besadii Tai, who had learned of the former's betrayal. The smugglers are not paid for their help during the previous battle against Teroenza's minions, as they were promised. Instead, the Red Hand confiscates all the spice and other valuables in order to finance the Rebellion. The dead Rodian and Weequay were members of the Nova Force, a mercenary company employed by the Besadii Hutt clan to defend Ylesia against raids. Their anti-infantry cannon can be seen in one of the corners, taken out by a grenade, which damaged and charred the pavement and surrounding area. The partly-visible building is Teroenza's treasure chamber; the landing ramp is part of a small freighter which will transport the Rebels and their bounty to their flagship in orbit, the Liberator-class carrier Liberator. [MOC] working DL-44 Blaster

Hello, I am new to this forum. I built a lifesize replica of Han Solo´s Blaster pistol. It has the shape and size of the weapon he uses in "Return of the Jedi". There is a Lego light element in the inside. The ray is focused by a lense. You can pull the trigger and shoot (sorry, but that´s my first video). Well, I submitted this project to "Lego Ideas".
  17. Less than a month away in a galaxy near us all comes the next installment to the star wars saga! This is my own trailer for The Force Awakens. MOC: I've found them!"

"I've found them!" Zev Senesca has located the lost rebels Han Solo and Luke Skywalker who have spent the night in the harsh Hoth elements. With the death of Han's Tauntaun, desperate measures had to be taken to keep Luke alive after his encounter with the Wampa. The T47 Snowspeeder design comes courtesy of Larry Lars immaculate design, check out his instructions here on Flickr. Can´t wait for the movie....
  22. A very short one panel comic inspired by the famous Han/Greedo scene with a little ironic approach to the "who shot first" quarrel that followed Sorry if the image is too large. I'm currently having problems with image re-sizing.
  23. I introduce you to the Microfighter Millennium Falcon set. As you know, I already own the X-Wing one. These sets are kinda cute. Again, unlike the planet serie, they are made for fun and play around with them, not just for display. I like this Millennium Falcon, I mean, c’mon, it’s Han Solo starship after all! I always preferred him over Luke. But straight away after building the set, and taking pictures, I modified it. You can see what I did to my brand new Millennium Falcon below, alongside the X-Wing... Front view, Han Solo on the left, “in the cockpit”. Kind of. Front view is looking nice. Left side. Cool. Back side. I don’t know why, but I kinda don’t like it that much. Something doing with the nozzles. Right side. Cool too. But this is where I did the mods. Just to get rid of the pilot. I like the Microfighters sets, I don’t want to use the pilot. Bottom side. I don’t like it at all. I might change it one day if I find an idea good enough to get rid of these 4 landing pads. My mods on the X-Wing and the Millennium Falcon. Han Solo – New Version vs Old Version With this set, I have now 2 versions of Han Solo. On the left is the version you get with the A-Wing set, on the right, the version sold with this Microfighter. Starting with the head. A new one, with two different faces. One happy face and one worried face I presume. I prefer the worried one. Suits Han Solo better imho. Torso is the same in both version. Pants are different with this Microfighter version. Different colour and different serigraphy. I prefer this new version of Han Solo. Just because of the two facial expression. It’s kinda great for different game situation while playing. Packaging and Instructions Something about the packaging now. Small classy box. Way nicer than the Planet Serie with its big planet. Front box is the Millennium Falcon, with a very worried Han Solo riding it. Back box is busy showing you lots of stuff. The other models, the Millennuim Falcon and Han Solo alongside and with his happy face, and some ads for their mobile phone applications. It’s too much. The instruction leaflet now. Nothing too difficult while building the set. About 2-4 pieces to add per page. It takes about 10-15 minutes to build. I’m a slow builder because I always do few things at the same time…

    (WIP) M.F. House

I'm nearly finished with this project. It's a combination of a few of my favorite sets. I just need to change a few details and add the interior.
