  1. I think I should have updated my earlier topic but I am still waiting for head suggestions, meanwhile this guys turned out quite well with the new head, custom colors and guns, I hope you like them and would be more than happy to see some of this guys popping around in someone else's MOC's. "The Sentinel combat drone has been developed by The Targus Engineering Enterprise under the request of the Terran government to fill a wide variety of roles; it has been designed to be large enough to carry thick armor plating and highly efficient power cells while still being smaller than regular combat drones or mech suits so it doesn't become an easy target for heavy turrets or artillery, it's also equipped with boosters for fast deployment on space or ship combat/defence and can be equipped with multiple other weapons and gear for more specific roles, its size makes it very agile and fast in comparison to other similar hardware and is considerably accessible. Without a doubt this will be the next step in mechanized warfare against alien invaders or rebellious colonies in outer space..." (MOC) - Space Utility Vehicle Stand

I got my Space Utility Vehicle and build a stand for it. I decided to do the moon because, well, the craters proved an interesting challenge. It took some creative thinking to get round craters perfect, but I think I solved it quite well. Overall, i think this turned out nice. But what do you think? If you like it, or not, be sure to tell me in the comments!
  3. I am asking for your help to design a smallish head for this little mech, it turned out pretty well but I am not satisfied with the head, I need it to be around 2x2x2 studs and 1.5 or so, a minifig head gear hat or helmet fits just fine for the scale but it doesn't fit with the stile I am looking for, I would like it to be either a single "eye" or something that resembles the face of the classical optimus prime, any ideas? 5. Hello there, here is my latest moc, a more than 100 studs long spaceship, the cayman class battlecruiser. Cayman class name is due to his shape, looking like a cyaman's head. [moc] Space Police cruiser

This is a standard patrol car.. space car? for my Space Police force. It's the first thing I built with play features in mind. So... the roof detaches easily for cabin access. Interior shot showing the controls and accessories: pistol to the right of the pilot, handcuffs to the left. The rear is cargo space, or prisoner transport. It's occupied at the moment. Top semidisassembled to give a better view of the interior. That space in back is pretty bare. Pilot, prisoner, accessories. Without a prisoner, those extra cuffs are left to just rattle around in back, make lots of noise. This provides an incentive to arrest someone as quickly as possible, promoting good police work!

    [O - E09] Duck Traps...

Tags: Spaceship or Land Vehicle, Exploration Jedadiah Douglass, signing in from duck-infested Castral: (whistling) That Wick Nole, bless him! Ha, I'm back in the game now, new vehicle and duck trap, thanks to him and the very considerate (and wise) directors of the Octan corp! There, that should do. Now I just gotta hide behind this rock until one of those wise-cracking ducks appear. Great! Well at least I know it works now! Let's see how you're supposed to get down from here... Quack! What!? Those ducks are always appearing at very inopportune moments! A little late to the party, ha! It seems I have taken your place. No, not going for the car again!? Nasty duck, shoo, shoo! Quack! Wick, Wick!! You probably already know how that ended... The vehicle as a hovercraft: And as a land vehicle: My Andromeda's Gates build for the week, and probably my last one on Castral for a while, so enjoy! Thanks for viewing, C&C welcome as always!

  11. An amazing classic Lego collection from 1979 to the early 90's, complete sets in their original boxes with instructions. Album with descriptions here: http://imgur.com/a/zO6qm Purchased all at once (by me) from a single collector, this is by far the best example of classic Lego history I've ever seen in one place. I've photographed and researched the entire collection. If you notice any errors or know of additional information, I'd appreciate you telling me and will update the album accordingly. Enjoy!

    Crimson Hornet 3000

V-Galactic Racing: Crimson Hornet 3000 by rolli One of these rare quick builds, an evening long, just there to distract me from other projects. I wanted to build some sci-fi for a change - think Formula 1 in space and in the far future. Obviously this needs to be a game so I came up with the whole screen design which - fun fact - took me longer than building. I will add more racers in the coming months, whenever I feel like I need to build one or need another break - after all I need to unlock them all Looking forward to what you think - let me know! Uh-oh, where did that feather go? Those people sure aren't going to be happy. Well, there's a reason I never liked science! (Later) Well, at least I can do the other part of what I was told to do. Let's see here, I can't remember what it's called. Well, I'll just have to look through this here extensive library of mine (I pride myself on my reading abilities). Driving for Dufaces, Flying for Phonies, Shooting for Stupids (I really should read that one some time). Ah-ha! Here she be, Domination for- What!? It wasn't very nice to give me this book as a gift... and then make me pay for it. Oh well, se la vie. Figless: A couple of pics of the Octan Quad Transporter: Another build for Octan... [M - C04] Assault on Aeristus.

Activity - Exploration. Location- Aeristus - C04. After an uneventful time on Myderis, Mark of Orion and his prototype vehicle were tasked with surveying the currently contested planet of Aeristus, just one sector from Torresta, the home planet of the MANTIS™ corp. After a few hours of testing ground speed on the open grasslands, Mark's radio emitted a distress call! Arriving at the scene, Mark discovered that his former crewmates were attacking a loathsome Kawashita stronghold and were in dire need of assistance! Mark fired up the Awesomnium-powered boosters and revved up the particle-disruptor rays on his Strider. "THIS ENDS NOW!" (Begin Commentary) Not happy with this build at all, I was extremely rushed for time - which also explains the very short story! But I wanted to get something in for MANTIS, so Enjoy!

    [M - E02] Undersea Exploration

Participants: Master_Data, Agent G, Little John Begin Log: We stumbled upon some ruins from Jurin II's earliest civilizations. Little John and Agent G volunteered to help excavate the rest of the ruins and look for more awesomnium. Seems like there are some weird crab-like creatures amongst the ruins. We'd better save one for Big Sal. Little John readies his camera for shots of the area before we start drilling. There's something hiding behind that rock. Better not disturb it. It's almost like the creature is guarding that helmet... Activated my new M.A.N.T.I.S. Awesomnium Locator. Ready to commence drilling! Great! I'll remove the debris with the M.A.N.T.I.S. Gator Class Submersible. Let's get working! End Log Comments: Sorry for the lack of story! I've been very busy. Maybe I'll come back and edit it once I have time!

    [LDD MOC] Rocket engines

Some types of rocket engines without any fiction. Liqued fuel engines are the most usual. As for nuclear engines, they were tested in USA and USSR and were ready to be produced. Ion engines are also not a fiction. They are used by long rage probes. The only unreal engine here is the photon engine. In theory it is possible to make it, but there some problems with anti-matterial "fuel".

[M - E02] The Jarring Jungles of Jurin II

Activity - Exploration. Location - Jurin II - E02 Previously, Mark of Orion had survived a deadly ambush on Guinevere. Now, he and his team were on the other side of the galaxy, exploring the heavily vegetatious planet of Jurin II. "Look at all the flora and fauna! Too bad Malcolm couldn't see all this!" Bert strolled around, happily gazing at all the new species before his eyes. "Malcolm didn't seem to be the type who was interested in plants - he was easily bored with his surroundings, if I recall." Mark scoffed and pushed a branch out of his face. Bert tromped through some thick ground cover. "Yeah, whatever happened to him, anyway? He sure was a jerk." "He got vaporized by a nano-beam of a Kawashita special forces agent." "Oh, that's... too bad. I assume you just ran for it?" "No, I turned to fight all three of 'em." "WOW, what happened?!" "It was all a bit of a blur. I don't remember." Mark said coldly, turning away. Bert decided he'd better stop asking questions, and looked back at his scanner. "Captain Brutus, I'm getting some strange readings - some kind of insectoid life form in this tree!" "There's lots of beetles and bugs around here. Nothing to worry about." The captain gruffly growled. Just then, a Massive Malicious Munchmoid leaped on the terrified captain, disproving his statement. THIS bug was something to worry about! The entire crew immediately panicked at the sight of the grotesque creature dropping from the trees. The Munchmoid landed squarely on the captain, who screamed loudly, muffled underneath the bug's weight. Lew, who was standing next to Mark of Orion, attempted to disarm the bug with his phaser, but was too frightened to aim properly and the shot went wide. Mark of Orion, however, knew he must act quickly, and in one step, set his MANTIS™ death ray blaster© against the creature's forehead. Mark's death ray blaster sang its song, and the Munchmoid went flying backwards from the sheer force of the glowing blast. Captain Brutus leapt back from the scene of his near demise. "GAAAHH! It almost got me! I can't feel my arm!" "That would be my blaster, sir. The ray must have clipped your arm." Mark jumped in between him and the still form of the Munchmoid. "Then why isn't it GONE?! And the beastly bug too?!" "I took the liberty of adding a stun setting to my MANTIS™ death ray blaster©. I assume you will approve, considering you still have your arm?" "Ah, yes, yes, that's fine, Orion, thank you." The captain pointed at the Munchmoid. "Now VAPORIZE this thing!" "Wait, sir. It's completely stunned and won't move for days. Why don't we drag it back to the dropship and use it for research?" Mark suggested with a grin. "Are you KIDDING me?!" Mark's grin continued. Apparently, he wasn't. "Ugh. All right. YOU get to drag it back, then." The captain rolled his one eye. And with that, the slightly shaken and jittery crew headed back to their ship. ...To Be Continued! (Begin Commentary) Well, I was completely swamped with school this weekend, but I still wanted to get a little build in for AG. Hopefully I'll have more time in the next few weeks to do something even bigger and better. Here's a final overview shot:
  21. A big thanks to Jason who took notice and contacted me for this to potentially become a product at their store. When redesigning it I had to make it stable and strong enough as well as making it aerodynamic, the original design was too blocky. I'm quite confident that is is the best outcome for a mini Milano spaceship design. I hope you enjoy it too. I really hope you enjoyed this MOC and plan to purchase one; feedback and criticism is much appreciated. Available to purchase at: TheBrickShowShop.com Adeel
  22. Hello... After some time away from LEGO... I created something I had designed a long time ago in paper using digital bricks. This is a concept I used for a script i sent to darkhorse when the LEGACY comics were out. In that script the Corellian armada had become one of the most powerful fleets in the galaxy and had incorporated in their cruisers, technology from the lost galaxy gun... SO those big guns you see on each side are supposed to shoot hyperspace energy shells, turning the ship into a deadlier vessel than the death star :D Of course, that is only a tale I made up. But I would really like to see one such ship in the new STAR WARS movies. Even if it is not a cruiser it can be adapted to become a ship for a crew of three or four :D That's how many minifigs fit inside :D Hope you like it and let me know your thoughts. Cheers
  23. [K - A06] Arrival at the Behemoth Kaiju So, you guys know the drill. I plan on doing something smaller for this week's build. I fail. This week I failed especially hard, considering that the Kaiju space station is ~6000 pieces (of which the space station itself is ~2500). However, I had great fun doing it, and I'm especially happy that everything could be done using legal techniques and pieces (so, if someone wanted to build it IRL, just contact me!). About the build; the base plate is 48x55 studs, no idea how tall. The high quality rendering took around 10 hours using LDD to POV-Ray (I should probably switch to Bluerender soon... I think some images would even look better using it, for example I'm not super-happy about the fourth rendered picture). After the "story", I included a little discussion regarding the size of the station, including calculations and assumptions, if anyone is interested. Also, when I edited everything together, I kinda noticed that the some of the parts resembles certain German WW1 and WW2 symbols. This is purely unintentional, so if anyone feel offended, I'm terribly sorry. C&C always welcome! --//Recording of a private conversation. Date: 2106(38)15. Scramble code: oaffalHLAkj2nj4lmkaa.//-- Narbilu: Hey, Q, everything okay with you? Q: Yes sir, everything is awsome. The new mines on Guinevere pump out gold at a steady pace, and our military bases should be able to keep M.A.N.T.I.S. at bay. Narbilu: Okay, that's great... how about... the wasps? Q: What do you mean sir? Narbilu: Well, you know, those private recordings we have... they aren't really private. See what I'm saying? Q: ... Narbilu: And, you know, as our chief engineer, you don't have to be at the front line all the time. Q: I don't? Narbilu: No. Q: ...but what about my awsome looking guns that I carry around with me all the time? Narbilu: You don't have to carry around them either. Q: I don't? But I thought they were standard requisition. Narbilu: *Sigh*, okay, first of all, you are a Colonel, and between you and me, soon to become a Brigadier General, so you don't have to use standard requisition. Second of all, have you ever seen any of our troops carrying around weapons like that? I mean, seriously, where did you even get them? And, I mean, you're an engineer, why would you even need those? Q: ...because they look awsome? Narbilu: *Sigh*, you know what. One of our Behemoth class space stations, the Kaiju, has arrived at Guinevere. You were in charge of designing them, so hop on the next Akena, take a tour around it, and see what can be improved. Since most of our gear is either manufactured there or ships via it, you will still have full control of our operations at Guinevere. Does that sound okay? Q: Sure, can I bring my guns? Narbilu: What, why wou... yes, fine, whatever, yes, you can bring your guns. The next Akena leaves from forward base 37/4-Gamma in 2 hours. Make sure you catch it. --//Recording of a private conversation stop. Scramble code: oaffalHLAkj2nj4lmkaa.//-- --//Private Log Begin. Date: 2206(38)15. Scramble code: 123StopListeningToMyPrivateStuff.//-- Heh, I love playing dumb with Narbilu. He gets riled up so quickly. Of course I know they are listening to all my private recordings. I generally like being on the front lines. Keeps you alert and makes sure you really understand what your men need. Not Guinevere though. Crappy piece of dust with those d*mn wasps. Guinevere is the 'Gates' equivalent to that place from those ancient Terran stories... Bruges, I think they call it. Anyway, it's good to be back on the Kaiju. Last time I saw her, she was in the space docks above Orinshi being built. Oh how far you have come my beautiful gargantuan lady. The Behemoth class space stations are truly the masterpieces of the Kawashita Group. Currently, there are two active; the Kaiju, and the Atlas, which is en route to Traig IV as I record this, with a third one, the Shiva, being built in the Orinshi space docks. The Behemoth class space stations are 100% modular and consist of three main types of parts; Residential, docks/engineering and science facilities. The residential areas are the big "rings". They have an independent propulsion system in order to create artificial gravity and super high speed MAGLEV elevators for transportation to the core. The Kaiju has two types of residential areas. The larger ring is configured for non military personel, i.e. science, engineering, miners, settlers, etc. The smaller rings are configured for military personel due to their proximity to the dock/engineering bays. The docks/engineering bays come in three different sizes depending on the type of ship. The largest host Ad Alpha class ships, including carriers, settlement, mining and maintenence vessels (in the docks closest to the largest ring), in addition to docking solutions for Dreadnaughts such as the Akena class. The second biggest host Alpha class ships and the smallest host fighters and bombers. Since gravity is not as important in the docks, it is simulated using directed magnetic fields. The dedicated science facilities on the Kaiju are fairly limited. There is an observatorium at the top of the station and a... sensor array on the bottom for... picking up signals? However, there are a lot of makeshift laboratories in the largest residential ring. Perhaps this is something that can be improved upon? Apparently there were some major destruction in one of the sectors after two junior researchers injected some sort of yellow reptilian creature with Awsomnium without the knowledge of their superiors. According to them, they had heard that "M.A.N.T.I.S. are doing it everywhere and creating a new breed of super-strong biological weapons". Seriously, why would anyone come up with an idea like that? It's just stupid. --//Private Log End. Signature: Q. Scramble code: 123StopListeningToMyPrivateStuff.//-- Discussion: 1. Regarding the size of the space station; when I decided to introduce the Akena class Dreadnaught to the build, my idea was that they were around 1.5 kilometers long (i.e. roughly the size of an Imperial Star Destroyer). This would make the bigger ring have a diameter of around 4.5 kilometers and a circumference of around 15 kilometers (D*Pi), and the smaller ones around 3/10 kilometers. Now, based on the Akena being 10 studs long, 1 stud is 150 meters. The rings are around 2 studs thick, i.e. 300 m. This would mean that the area for the big ring is (2.25 km ^ 2 - (2.25 km - 0.3 km) ^ 2) * Pi = 3.96 km^2 (and 2.54 km^2 for the smaller ones). The rings are 3 and 2 studs high respectively, i.e. 0.45 and 0.3 km, which yields a volume of 1.78 and 0.76 km^3 respectively, resulting in a total volume of ~3.31 km^3 in the residential area. If we assume that we are pretty generous with the space, for being a space station, and that each inhabitant would have 80 m^3 each (40 m^2 * 2 m), including all other area required, this would result in the station being able to host 3.31 / (80 / 1000 000 000) = 41.375 million people. If we assume the extra space takes up about twice as much as we initially thought, we'd still be able to host around 20 million people on the space station. Pretty nice. 2. Why are there no visible guns? Well, first of all, the base hosts an enormous fleet, which could take over an entire world by itself, so it doesn't really need that many guns. Second of all, even the biggest guns we have seen so far in AG are around 30 meters long (in my Polar Base), which would only be a fifth of a stud, so guns aren't really visible on this scale. Third of all, what's up with that absurdly huge sensor array which kinda looks like a doomsday device and is only close to military facilities? Wait, why did I bring that up when we were talking about guns? Nevermind. More pictures/comments under the spoiler button!
  24. Participants: Master Data, Agent G Begin Log: I'm supposed to pick up yet another food shipment from the labs on Hunston to deliver to our forces throughout the sector. I'm supposed to pick up a shipment of some new type of larva for the cafeteria. Hold on, I'll run a scan of the surrounding islands. Computer, set us on course for Big Sal's lab.
