Led by enigmatic eccentric Dr. Victor Strangebuild, the crew of Pioneer-74 is on a long-running quest to document the mysteries of deep space. Their goal is to explore unknown worlds, encounter fantastic creatures, and meet brand-new civilizations. Thus, they boldly venture forth into the great final frontier, never looking back towards home. THIS IS THE STORY OF PIONEER-74! So I built this spaceship Halloween in about two hours. I call it Pioneer-74 because I like naming things after old space probes (Pioneer, Odyssey, Voyager, etc.) while the "74" part of the name is because that's what year it was launched. (It has a certain retro look to it, almost like it came from Space: 1999) The brick separator solar arrays and engines have been built IRL for years with nothing interesting to tack them onto, so finally doing something with them makes me happy. The rest is heavily inspired by two CITY space sets (60227 and 60349, respectively) in orange for the LEGO Universe-inspired space theme, the Nexus Force. Pioneer-74 is completely modular, so it can be extended if I wanted later on. (This should also make transportation easier when built in real life.) A look at the vessel from above. NOTE: two figures are missing from the above picture... and it seems one of the finished ones has to get his head in the game as well! Hi, Here is the fourth mech in this series. It's been 98% done for a long time now but sometimes life forces you to put Lego on hold for a bit. There are a lot more Constraction type pieces and techniques in this one but it still relies heavily on the System method. As with the others, it was designed to have the minifig's head exposed underneath the helmet. A year ago I posted the facade of the Stadsgehoorzaal (music hall) in Leiden, Netherlands. In my post I said: “In the future I hope to extend this building by making the concert room with a large orchestra. :-)”. So, hereby I show you the concert room as it really is. I put in all the minifigures I have (which isn’t enoung to fill the whole room). In a few weeks you can actually see this Lego music hall in de real Stadsgehoorzaal (Breestraat 60, Leiden). I noticed, that in every key moment of the show, there is a door in the scene. When we really see Mando for the first time, but also when we meet Grogu: And when they finally become "a clan of two"? There is the door with the iconic mythosaur in the background: So that's why I call it "Doors from The Mandalorian"... This is the way!

(not so) Abandoned Tower by Jip Kempers, on Flickr "On the edge of Wither Woods, next to an abandoned watchtower, stands a Neverdying Tree. They say the fruits she bears are so sweet and hydrating one can drink seawater for days after eating them." A noble prince and his entourage hunts for the tree but after questing for days through dense forest they find it stripped bare. Looking at the black tower next to it his bannerman notices the torches above the door are lit. The prince sends in his squires to search for the missing fruits. But shortly after entering the tower spits one out running for dear life! This place is abandoned no more... Had this base left over from the Summer Joust. Shame to let it go to waste. The tree uses the same frame as Carter Witz's Bonsai Special thanks to Stuifzand from Lowlug for the idea to close off the back of the base, saved me a lot of time!' The Witch-King of Angmar™ & Fellbeast™ BrickHeadz (LOTR Product Concept) By Rui Miguel “Do not come between the Nazgul and his prey” Shortly after I finish my Fellowship collection it bother me I couldn’t produce them in physical form or bring you another of my creations. So I decided to make one more character but with 4 parameters: 1 – No new printed elements 2 – Only available colors 3 – No rare parts 4 – Under 400 pieces At first, it crossed my mind to make a Balrog but then again LEGO is already making one… So I skipped. Treebeard was on the table of ideas too but I ended up doing the Witch-King of Angmar. It’s a villain with a badass design and a very iconic look. But what close the deal for me was the piece 65473 that had the perfect shape for a neck of a Fellbeast dragon and I think I haven’t seen a MOC of these characters in BrickHeadz form. The final result, I present here 😉 Hope you like it. My goal again was to deliver a LEGO experience that could resemble the product standards of LEGO official products, from packaging, LEGO model and building experience. Beneath I share the PDF files of the building instructions for this set I made. I also added the Bricklink studio file of the model so you can upload to Bricklink and generate a wanted list of the LEGO parts needed to order. Hi everyone - for those who already have or plan to buy and build the UCS Luke Skywalker's Landspeeder (set #75341), I've created an 'Enhanced Edition' of the model that you may be interested in! Fixes and enhancements are: - Reduced the length (by 2 studs) of the overly long nose of the standard model to give it a more accurate & balance look. - Added forward and rear removeable panels to show new internal details including power plant and anti-grav units in the rear; and fuel tank, sub-frame, piping and cabling details at the front. (I used the X-34 Landspeeder diagram from the Star Wars Complete Vehicles 'amazing cross sections' book as my reference when designing the internal details.) - Fixed the left hand side & top wobbly engines issue. The Fellowship Of The Ring™ BrickHeadz Collection (LOTR Product Concept) By Rui Miguel “Nine companions. So be it. You shall be the Fellowship of the Ring” When I heard the news from Promobricks of the possible revival of The Lord Of The Rings LEGO Theme, I was like: “One does not simply revive LEGO LOTR” and I thrilled if this turns out to be true. So during the past 2 weeks, I set myself the challenge to reimagine the Fellowship into BrickHeadz scale. I divided them into three different sets: the idea is to make that iconic silhouette when they are traveling and headed to Mordor. I think that would look cool to display, play and worthy of our collections. A little about the process: I use the piece count from Harry Potter BrickHeadz as an indicator of how many pieces I could use, to make it as realistic as an official release. But I must confess I feel like I cheated this time because I used certain parts in which the color has not been released yet and a lot of printed pieces. If Frodo and Gandalf BrickHeadz are coming next year in January I wonder if the LEGO design team used on their versions any of these parts in these new colors. Can’t wait for 2023! Based on a scene that I stumbled upon on a walk one Autumn day - A 1987 civic parked under a gingko tree collecting leaves The Civic moc is mine from about a year ago, but I reworked it to make the front end one stud shorter than before, I think it looks much better. The techniques are borrowed from a variety of amazing car builders out there I was a bit rushed to get the base done on time for Brickfair Exton, but I was fairly happy with how it came together and the simplicity serves to set up the atmosphere and keep the focus on the overall feeling. And I was honored to win a Brickee for this MOC at BFPA this past September! Feel free to share any comments or questions below!

Hello ! I present you my Classic Town and 12V diorama of 6.80mx1.50m, with nearly 30m of 12V track installed, presented to the public at the exhibition in Parmain (north of Paris, France) on October 8 and 9, 2022. The assembly time was very long, and I took 16 hours in all from the installation of the tables to the working of the 12V loop without any operation on my part. I realized that in spite of all the energy I could put, I have already reached the end of what I can do in terms of size in such a short time, all by myself, with a method requiring me to partially dismantle my sets for transport. Having no space at home, I started from a plan elaborated from Bluebrick software, but I came up to a limitation of the software: it does not manage at all the complex wiring of a 12V layout. I went back to paper to plan the stop zones and to cut the circuit in 4 sectors to better distribute the power of the transformers and avoid slowdowns because my cars are quite heavy (I have a lot of MOCs). This diorama represents Lego Town, a small industrial town 30 km north of Paris. For the record, the railroad came to Lego Town quite early, around 1860, and the industry started to prosper in a moderate way. The Lion d'Or Hotel Restaurant on the road to the castle is a testament to that time, and the factory owner's house still stands in front of the station. The goods station and the Sernam hall, a key place for the transport of goods in the city. Lego Town has gone from a village to a small town, the medieval downtown area has been well preserved. The SNCF depot is only used to park trains. Steam locomotives remain to build a railway museum in a future diorama. The gas factory closed in the 60's and the gasometer is abandoned. The urban sprawl of the 60s and 70s, many houses were built around the old center. A modern district has been built on the castle hill to accommodate the workers who commute to Paris. The SNCF VB2N rolling stock was put into circulation for the great comfort of commuters. The highway bridge also allows minifigures to avoid the level crossing and the often congested downtown area of Lego Town. Lately, in 1980, the station was rebuilt on a functional and very modern building, allowing cars to park easily. It still watches the Paris-Ruhr Trans Europ Express to Germany (Molière and Parsifal) passing by, pulled by the SNCF CC40100. The castle was restored in the 70's and is used as a municipal museum where many historical reenactments are organized. The goal for next year is to completely Frenchify the diorama by changing the Dutch stickers of the promotional sets. Evans

The Witchfinder: A Monster Fighters MOC

It's been a while since I've posted anything around these parts, but with Halloween fast approaching in the States, I thought I should take advantage of the season to post up another Monster Fighters MOC! Back in 2020, I had posted a little grove for some of the CMF witches LEGO's been putting out over the years. Overall it's a nice addition with the rest of the official Monster Fighters sets (which get a workout every time this year), although I hadn't quite nailed down a good-looking vehicle for the monster slayers two years ago, as you can see below: So after posting that, I got some good feedback, and took another swing at it in December of that year. Needless to say I finally got around to photographing it this summer, so without further ado, allow me to present... The Witchfinder! As you can see, I tried to make this match the approximate design of some of the other vehicles belonging to the Monster Fighters, with the trans-black windscreen, dark-bluish grey machine components and of course the dominant non-primary color scheme. I also made sure this truck looked like something that could clear away the thickest underbrush in the most haunted forest, hence all the spikes and saw bits on the front, in addition to the floodlights on top of the cab: As for the water turret in the rear, that can rotate a full 360 degrees and there is enough of a gap for the gunner to see where they're aiming, as Ann Lee can demonstrate: I also wanted to make sure there was enough clearance for a minifigure to operate the water cannon machinery in the rear, which also helps cover up the gear box part. And if the two Monster Fighters need to get out of their truck to finish the job, all they have to do is pull out the crate... And pop off the top! Then you can slot it right back into its original spot! Lastly, the cab roof does pop off, so you can throw in any other minifigure your heart desires (although Rodney Rathbone may need a different seat)! So there you have it! One gnarly monster-slaying truck to accompany the secluded wooded grove where all the witches gather. Overall I'm pretty happy with how it came together. Sure, the truck probably looks more contemporary than some of the other vehicles from that line, but seeing how The Zombies has a truck which looks pretty 20th Century, along with the hot rod in Vampyre Castle, I like to think this fits in rather well with the rest of the vehicles in their garage! 7 Segment LED with Hexadecimal counter MOC

Hi everyone, I have made a 7 segment LED panel that can count upwards or downwards using a track driven program via tow ball pins. The LED display can be programmed to show digits or one of 17 different letters to make a sequential display to animate small text messages. The panel is driven either by hand using a crank or via a Powered Up motor. You can select which one to use via a manual switch. I have made a track to display hexadecimal counting from 0 to F. -
[MOC] Classic Dump Truck (INSTRUCTIONS AVAILABLE)

A classic-style dump truck model with BuWizz. Features drive, steering, dumping, V6 piston engine, and working headlights and taillights. My initial plan was to make it in lime, as one of the sets I got was the 42138 Mustang and that one had most of the lime parts I would need. I have not made many lime MOCs due to not having that many lime pieces, so this felt like another good opportunity to make a lime MOC. However, I could not help but feel that green would be a strange color for a dump truck, so I then changed the cab color to red. My initial finished design in Stud.io had a red cab and dark bluish gray cargo hold. I also tried a white cab with black cargo hold and rims, but felt that an orange cab and black cargo hold with white rims and accents was the best color scheme to go with. I decided to use BuWizz to control the model despite it not being made for speed - due to the smaller scale, it would be difficult to fit both a battery box and SBrick so using a BuWizz which has battery/control all in one unit was the best option. The model is built very compact - the drive and cargo hold elevation motors (both PF L motors) are placed side by side, and the PF Servo motor for steering is placed directly below the cab to leave room for the fake engine. Unfortunately, due to the small size of the model and the oscillating rear axle, there isn't much room for reinforcement (there's only one pair of beams going over the oscillating rear axle) so the chassis tends to bend. I was concerned that the chassis would bend too much as the cargo hold elevates due to the forces exerted on the end of the chassis, but fortunately it didn't seem to be much of an issue in the finished model. As for the functionality, I decided to take advantage of BuWizz's 4 speed modes to adjust the power supplied to the motors and LEDs. While the model is not that big, it does pack quite a punch when driving in ludicrous mode. And because I'm not using the power-hungry RC motors, there's no issues with power cutting out. The LEDs are also brighter on fast and ludicrous modes, which I like. The oscillating rear axle worked very well on slightly rough terrain as seen in the video - the only downside is the ground clearance as the L motors for drive and dumping sit pretty low in the chassis. There weren't any issues with chassis reinforcement either despite my concerns. I was also concerned that the Servo motor being connected to the steering mechanism via a CV and U-joint would lead to excess play in the system (as the Servo motor is not placed directly next to the steering mechanism due to the space the fake engine takes up), but steering always functioned properly without any major issues. Overall, the small size of this model and the use of BuWizz made all the functions work very smoothly. It did not take long for me to finish the virtual model in Stud.io and the building process is straightforward, but this MOC still turned out to take longer than anticipated. I ordered most of the parts I needed in a single Pick A Brick order so I can avoid buying from multiple Bricklink sellers, but because my order consisted of all "standard" parts, it took over a month for me to receive it. My order was also on "In Warehouse" status longer than usual. In retrospect I should have ordered all the parts for this model from Bricklink if I wanted to finish it earlier, but being able to order all my parts in a single order was definitely convenient. Overall, while the functionality turned out pretty well for this model, it was still a project I felt that I started too hastily. I had to modify the virtual build several times (including three color changes) before starting the build IRL. A number of features had to be included (there's no interior due to the BuWizz unit taking up most of the interior space), but I am still happy about being able to include a fake engine at this scale. This was also my first MOC to use multiple pairs of PF LEDs - after getting one pair in late 2013 I always wanted to get a few more but never had a MOC where I thought of including multiple PF LEDs. Last summer I got a set of PF/WeDo elements from a friend which included two pairs of PF LEDs. This MOC felt like a good opportunity to use them as I used PF elements with no power-hungry RC motors. The amount of electronic elements in such a small model (3 motors and 3 pairs of LEDs) meant a lot of wiring to manage, but I was able to get the wires to all fit nicely inside the model. MOC/MOD material handler 42053/42144

Hello all, I found the latest iteration of the material handler a bit flimsy, and esthetically not so nice and I also didn't like the wheel base. So I decided to mod the 42053 material handler to beast mode. It has the latest control+ XL-motor with the dumb battery box and one small pump. The cabin of the 42053 is reused without modifications, the grabber is reused with a bit of modifications, and the design of the aft section is also reused. For the booms I used the 42144 design. The crane uses ballast in the track section and in de crane body. The ballast are small metal bearing balls in the LBG-boxes, which are easily removable It's an 'electrical' excavator with external power supply, the cable is reeled in and out together with the movement of the tracks In total there are 6 cylinders and 1 small pump (should have been 2, but there was no room in the body) a few openable hatches I hope you like it, due to time restraints I couldn't eleborate the design more, I will make I claw grabber in due time -
[MOC] US conventional long-nose truck

Description After over a year of prototyping, building and rebuilding, I'm finally done and want to take this opportunity to present my "magnus opus" properly. The idea for this project came when I finally got my hands on a copy of 5571 Black Cat/Giant Truck. This set came out when I was in high school and I always regretted it a bit that I didn't get it. However, when I finally did get it a few years ago, I realised that LEGO has come a long way in the intervening 25 years, and resolved to build one myself: inspired by the 5571, but pack with features enabled by modern LEGO pieces. It took a while, but it's finally done. The model features: 6x4 drive to a fake 3-cylinder engine with idling function powered by a PF M-motor. Solid axle suspension on all axles Steering front axle with Ackermann geometry, connected to steering wheel in cab Built-in pneumatic pump (powered by the same PF M-motor) with connection points for future trailer Motorised fifth-wheel decoupling (powered by the same PF M-motor) Cab interior Openable doors and hood Many details HOG ready (requires two tiles to be removed from the sleeper roof) Exterior Interior and engine Obligatory underbelly shot High-resolution and additional photo's can be found on my Bricksafe page. Middle Eastern Palace MOC - with MILS Plate I originally built this quite some time ago, straight onto three 16 x 32 baseplates, and needless to say it was very flimsy. I have given it a revamp by building a MILS Plate style base, using the tan masonry bricks. The model is now a lot sturdier and easier to move around. Here we see a typical oil well and "nodding donkey" pumpjack rendered in LEGO form, ready to start pumping crude oil. (link to Wikipedia for more on pumpjacks, in case you don't know what they are.) The oil well design was heavily modified in design and usage, as it was originally designed as the lower half of a water tower for steam trains! The oil pumpjack features a crank as a play feature, (which could easily be motorized) though it doesn't actually pump anything.
