    ZULU FIGBARF

Displaced by a Magical Monsoon the Hillarwi Tribe were uprooted from their homes in the plains of AfriKania and transported thousands of miles to the other side of the continent. a Band of around 100 warriors, women and their kin were thrust into an alien environment. Navigating by the stars they are desperate to reach home. Forced to live as Nomads everywhere they go they chant their infamous battle cry "We're the Hillarwi! We're The Hillarwi! Trying to get home! We're the Hillarwi!" Left to Right Mkhungo -Zulu Brave Intontela - Musician Isangoma - The Witch Doctor Shaka Diiygane - Chieftain Ubulawayo - Standard Bearer Mbube - Champion -- The Brickarms uclips and brickwarriors scrolls make great tattered flags and sails too! I moced a small raft which then got cannibalised for parts but I hope to rebuild it. It's particularly effective with a mix of black and white scrolls and uclips. :) Plenty of themes used in this one PotC Chima Agents Harry Potter Super Heroes Indiana Jones LOTR CMF Series 10 Priates Custom Houses Brick Warriors Brickarms Christo V&A Steamworks

    LEGO Glorfindel

Hi guys, I have been unsuccessfully browsing Bricklink for pieces to create one of my favourite characters in the Lord of the Rings. Given that many of you are experts in Historic Themes, I was hoping that somebody might be able to help me out. This is a picture of Glorfindel as he appears in the LEGO Lord of the Rings video game. I have the hair and head and surely could find a dark blue cape, but I couldn't find anything that even remotely resembles the torso and legs. I would greatly appreciate any ideas and suggestions! Cheers, Michael

    Customized Rohirrim Army

After getting several Uruk-hai Army sets I have started to notice my Rohan soldiers really starting to look way to similar and redundant. I tried using Eomer without his cape as a basic grunt and switching his helm/head/torso/legs with the Rohan archer, but this only allows for so many combinations and still they all have either the orange or light brown facial hair. Unlike with the Uruk-hai there just aren't that many possible combinations for Rohan soldiers atm unless you look outside the LotR line. Luckily they are a somewhat rag tag band so you can easily switch some pieces out and get a really distinct looking army that still feels very Rohan-esque. With that said, I am now turning to Bricklink to further customize my Rohan army. My question is what helms/heads/torsos/legs have people found to work really well as basic Rohan grunts? I would obviously prefer flesh color heads as those are what the rest of the LotR line is done in. I would also prefer the newer, really highly detailed pieces to better mesh with my exisiting LotR minifigures (no Harry Potter heads from 8 years ago please!). So, what can you guys come up with? I would prefer not to have to do any modding such as painting or cutting/modling. Even so, here are some great custom figures from General Magma to give you a general idea of what I am going for!
  4. Well, I said I'd post 'em, so here they is. All eleven incarnations of The Doctor, all purist, and all-most all totally 'fantastic!' Group shot, they all look quite brilliant together, wouldn't you say? First through Third Doctors, can't say I like this first period of Who stories, but there are quite a number who do. The Third Doctor's fairly good though. 1: By far my weakest design, but all the good torsos for him are from the Harry Potter line which I didn't collect. 2: This one is pretty cool, just wish the head had a bit more of a smile. 3: Uses too many Balin parts, but other than that it's fairly cool. Fourth through Sixth, Four has some nice stories, Five had terrible companions, and I haven't seen much of Six. Just barely enough to say he's not as bad as they say. Oh, and "Would you like a Jelly Baby?" 4: It's a fair design, but prints with scarfs are few and far between. This is one of the more mediocre figures in my opinion. 5: I like this one, but again, while it's not that accurate to his looks, it seems to capture the right essence. 6: Meh, an ok design for this doctor. That's pretty much the only torso for him, but the rest just seems too plain. Seven and Eight, Seven is cool. Eight only got the one movie, but delivered an entertaining performance nevertheless. Still, it was a 90's movie, so it's not that great. 7: Interesting design, love the head, but the torso is a bit off. Tried the umbrella as you can see, but can't say I like it. 8: I really like this design. The torso/leg set is amazing, and the head/hair combo looks great. And now to Modern Who, which is in my opinion, the best of the best. (Except 'Love and Monsters') Nine left way too soon, but was excellent, Ten was great, and Eleven is my favorite. 9: The leather jacket is perfect, but this is a fairly simple design. Probably should have used the normal Lex head, but that was tied up on a different minifigure. 10: Again, quite simple build, no rare parts or anything. Please don't ask why only he gets a Sonic. And if only Lego made an overcoat... 11: Yes, Fezzes are cool, and so are bowties. Can't say I love the hair and head, but they're the best choices out there. Yet again, a pre-existing torso is perfect. There you go! Questions and comments are welcome, thanks for looking! Sorry for the poor pictures, that's the best I can do with my webcam right now. 5. I was recently playing around with gears, and geartrains and came up with a simple yet effective way to make a custom clutch gear: I was really pleased with its effectiveness, and simplicity. Note: The more you gear it down, the harder it is to stop it. Enjoy!

    The 'Nam Wreckin Crew

The Nam Wreckin Crew are the meanest, deadliest, bunch of S.O.B.s ever to pull on a uniform. Pictured here at muster they are selecting their gear for their next mission on Cheeseburger Hill. NWC act as problem solvers for the US army when actions go bad or things just get to hot to handle. Officially these guys don't exist running black Ops for the Administration. The NWC are hand picked and led by the ruthless Sergeant Frank Statton III seen here front and centre. The Team. Darryl "Heavy D" Payton. M60 Support Gunner - Outhouse doors want to be like him when they grow up. Tommy "Thumper" Johnson - Responsible for punching a way into hot zones and droppin' smoke for Copters at the exfil.. Don "Tick Tock" Banner - Demolitions and the teams grease monkey. Bob "Psycho" Busch - Tunnel Rat, No right to be alive but he's still breathing despite being, shot, stabbed and blown up. Seemingly nothing can stop this combat tank. Ralph "Smokey" Polawski - Wants to see the whole world burn and frequently does... Some of the customisation I have done is as follows: Daryl - Painted Boonie Hat The Sarge - Hat String and rank decal Psycho - Bandages wrap round entire body (not really visible) Tommy and Bob added helmet straps Bob custom flamethrower with some painted elements Hope you enjoy them!
  7. Growing up in the 80's I discovered a new comic called "The Punisher" a story about a man out for revenge. Later on I discovered that he debuted in Spiderman ~129 in 1974! Two whole years before I was born. I've been hooked on his adventures ever since. Over the years Frank Castle has been through a lot of changes, some stories were gritty and tense others like Punisher Angel were frankly dumb. To be honest though I loved them all! Punisher Captain America - Marvel teased the Punisher as the new cap when Steve Rogers took a dive. FrankenCastle - When Daken beat Frank and cut off both his arms and head most people thought it was the end for the Punisher, however Morbius and the Legion of Monsters had other ideas. The Punisher - This is pretty much how I see the Punisher in my head, without his 70's costume and tooled uo! Punisher Noir - From the Marvel Noir series. The Mask was a nice touch. 1930's Frank avenges his Fathers death! Punisher Angel - Not at all what you might think! having committed suicide, Frank is given a second chance by his Rubbish Guardian Angel Gadriel who failed to save his family. Gifted supernatural powers and the greatest weapons of Heaven, Frank sets out on a mission from God for a bit... then decides he'd rather just keep doing things his way...
  8. Hello there I would like to show you some of my custom minifigures. These are the old ones, because I'm not making customs anymore (maybe I'll start doing it again in future ). Heath Ledger Joker Clayface The Penguin That's it for now. Please comment :D Sorry for bad quality and bad English :S
  9. Some neat news: Guy Himber (of V&A Steamworks fame) recently unveiled a new Kickstarter project for a series of custom pig and cow minifig-compatible heads to fit the "Pigs vs Cows" theme of BrickCon 2013: http://www.kickstart...r-brickcon-2013 Shots of the prototypes Guy had created to showcase what this project would produce: I've already pledged to the project, and for how great these heads look, hopefully a few Eurobricks members might consider doing so, too and help make them a reality!
  10. The Legion of Doom: Complete The Legion of Doom, from Challenge of the Super Friends created in Minifigure form. Gotta say this took months to put together; but it was well worth it! There’s a variety of Custom and Purist figures. Brainiac is a Custom Printed figure by Green Pea Toys. Names (From Left): Bottom: Solomon Grundy, Cheetah (Custom), Brainiac (Green Pea Toys), Lex Luthor, Scarecrow, Black Manta Middle: Giganta, Toyman, Riddler, Captain Cold (Custom) Top: Gorilla Grodd, Sinestro (Custom), Bizarro Custom Made Figures: Enjoy ~Nemo
  11. Captain Cold Custom Minifigure What you’re looking at is my first attempt at a custom minifigure (Ok, not first, but the best of the numerous failures over the years!) Anyways, I love the character of Captain Cold; and basically I’m sick of waiting to see if he’ll officially show up (In the unlikely event that he does) in a set with the equally (More so) anticipated Flash minifigure. This is made of a few pieces, and I kept to purist in areas of it whenever possible. I’ve painted the Eskimo hat to blue and white, and added some cheap sticky-paper decals on his chest and back. I’ve been trying to build a Legion of Doom for a long time, and Captain Cold is just another step in that long staircase. Anyways, enjoy! Enjoy ~Nemo

    Steam Barons

It is the Age of Steam. The Worlds Resources are dominated by Queen Victorianas' Empire and their main rival Tsar Nikolais' Muscovy. Here we have three "Steam Barons", these are some of the worlds most rich and powerful men. Acting as diplomats and Emissaries they negotiate treaties and trade between the super powers when the factions are not at war! Fellows are war veterans, part human, part automaton, created using the latest technology to repair otherwise fatal wounds, sustained whilst battling for their countries. Depending on the nature their of the wound, their are assigned specific roles in households by Wealthy Patrons . Some are bodyguards, while others with more serious injuries such as head trauma, are no more than butlers. Pictured Left to Right. John Hutton, Laird of Merchiston, Scotland, protected by his fellow Bertrand Stewart, a savage brawler. Alexandri Faberge a profilic inventor, flanked by his fellow Yuri Dostiev a translator. Valentines Day 1929

Spending Valentines Day Alone? Don't worry it could be a lot worse!! February 14, 1929 is infamous in history as the date of the St. Valentine's Day Massacre. Five members of the North Side Irish Gang led by Bugs Moran, plus gang collaborators Reinhardt H. Schwimmer and John May, were stood up against awall of the garage at in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago's North Side, and executed. Two men dressed as Police Officers had brought their guard down allowing other shooters to come in with the Gang e in typical gangster fashion.vely unarmed (not expecting trouble from the Police) while the others were suited and booted. This shot was taken by my photography Guru GlenGmanvespa from flickr. I tablescrapped the fig out of parts from another upload then he worked his magic, shooting the shot using a beast of a camera snoot and some photoshop wizardry to edit the rose and remove a rogue hair which had attached itself to the left arm!? I love how this came out!
  15. Hey guys, just took pictures of some updated custom minifigures: Back row is just standard Batman and Nightwing without the stupid manga hairpiece; In front of them is the Damian Wayne Robin, who I'm actually starting to like; In front of him, Tim Drake's Red Robin and Barbara Gordon Batgirl; Front row is Huntress and Commissioner Gordon. I'd already made Huntress and Commissioner Gordon back in 2007 or so, and decided to update them to fleshies. Batgirl's red hair is sculpted from Sculpey polymer clay, painted with acrylic paint and then sealed.

    MOC: HF Krika

So yeah, the aim of this was to use Krika's parts and concept to create a unique Hero Factory villain. This fella's supposed to be like a giant bug, whose body and limbs have been replaced by super-strong robotic parts by some evil corporation or something. Front Back Size comparison Under the Helmet Thoughts? Comments? Questions?
  18. I'm looking for instructions for custom modular buildings. I would be willing to pay for them on paypal or through bricklink. I prefer them to be done by Cafe Corner standards. I'm mainly looking for some buildings to use some of my CMFs in like the butcher, artist, all the musicians, weightlifter, boxers, and computer programmer.
  19. On the flickr community, There is a lego elder scrolls group. The group is starting to host an elderscrolls rpg. This isn't an advert, Merely an explanation as to why I molded it. This is the Scaled armor piece as seen in TES v: Skyrim. It is only a WIP of course But I thought that I'd share it. And here is the reference picture:
  20. As this was originally a reply to a Request Thread request, I thought I would actually add more and more to it, as I'd love to make some of the James Bond characters from the new movie, Skyfall, but also from the classic films and add them all here. As I get theme done, I'll just add them here, instead of the request thread. Hope you like and as usual your comments and critiques are definitely welcome! (Only have one design done and may not add to this for a while, as I have the Assassin's Creed designs to go back to first) Note: The following designs are original property of the designer and are provided for personal use only, alterations or use of this design for sale are only allowed by permission of the designer James Bond - Skyfall (Daniel Craig version) Though I know it is tradition to keep the eyes dark, Daniel Craig's blue eyes are so distinctive and part of his look, that I think it was necessary and needed to make them light blue. Based on this picture: Clear Version: Silva (Javier Bardem)- Skyfall Here's a work in progress face, as Silva's face is VERY difficult to get right. It may be changed and edited from time to time. For now, at least, I thought I'd release his face for those that would like to print it off and use. I think the best use for this would be with a tan torso and dark brown legs, and the tan swept back hair like here. I will also upload a version with his police decoy outfit soon, so stay tuned. Tan Suit Version (This should be sized correctly to fit the minifigure and will not need to be resized in Microsoft Word if printed off - please let me know if this is not the case) Clear Version:

  22. What if, for beginners, there was a fancy looking kit with tools and instructions for minifig customization? =It would include: -Instructional DVD/CD-ROM -Instructional Booklet -Tips and tricks pamphlet -A simple minifigure (construction worker - looking) -Waterslide decal paper -List of notorious minifig customization entrepreneurs... -Other things I can't think of right now... Anyone have more solid ideas?

    Areani Knights

Hey guys! Here are some custom figures I created a little while ago. I used quite a few Brickwarriors and BrickForge parts. Here's the story I wrote for them... The Order of Areani was founded long time ago, after King Alphundus was killed, and the three brothers split the kingdom. Prince Lorean feared the fate of his father, so he formed a special band of knights, called the Areani. These men swore to protect the prince from any danger that might threaten him. The present Order is rather numerous and wields great power within Roawia. The duties of the members are now more varied as well. and the Order's influence and power continue to expand. They field elite cohorts for the Loreesi armies, and did great service during the first swamp campaign. Fear the Order! For the Glory of Loreos!!! ____________________ The standard outfit and equipment for the members of the Areani. Wielding straight swords and round shields, their simplistic weapons hold a nasty surprise for those who would turn their backs on justice, and more importantly, on the Prince of Loreos. Their armor is perfectly designed to allow full freedom of movement, meaning they can run and fight with perfect agility and ease. Their training is the best imaginable to the point where complex maneuvers are instinctive. Whether it be the top of the highest cathedral, or the deepest darkest swamp, they know where you are. Desert scouts are the snipers, rangers, and special forces of the Order. Wielding composite bows and a variety of curved swords, javelins, and other weapons, their more unique tactics complement perfectly the Standard Areani Knights on their various missions abroad. Thanks For viewing, and have a great day!
  25. With the many requests for some superhero custom designs, I thought I'd create a separate thread for those. These can be from the popular Superhero movies (other than Dark Knight, as I already have a thread for those), or comic book characters. Hope you like them and as usual, I welcome any comments and critiques. Note: the following designs are copyrighted by the designer, so please be sure to use these only for personal use. Any reproductions of these designs for sale must first be okay'd by the designer. Spiderman (Amazing SpiderMan version) Earth Blue version: Dark Blue version (these will be adjusted soon to match these above): Zemo Here's my design for Zemo that was requested. I wasn't sure about actual color styles, as there were so many variations on the web to go by. As I'm not an officianado on Zemo, I thought I'd make one of each color below. Also, what will be most problematic with any design of Zemo is matching a paint that matches these head colors (as there are no purple heads from TLG as of now), which may be tough. If someone has a paint color they would like me to match it to, please feel free to contact me and I can work with you to try and recolor the purple to match. Also, I don't have a reference to go by for the back, so if someone has one they can share that matches this version of Zemo, please forward to me, I'd be very greatful!
