  1. Hello Eurobricks, "The Blocky Guide to parenting / Internet-Research" is my english version of "Der kleine eckige Erziehungsratgeber / Recherche" - Brickfilm, with 2 awards at STEINEREI, german brickfilmfestival. "Best Animation" & "Best Voice Performance". To make it more enjoyable for non-german speakers i also wanted and made a english version - so have fun: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o3uqVWuPNvM ******** german original version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3G9FSW-Wpf0&t=21s ******** a little look behind the scenes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7QxIK4j2sI ********* little story behind the clip: original-voices (german version) are from a radio-comedy. fortuitously i was listening to the episode "Recherche" and i could not believe my ears, hearing them talking about LEGO, "LEGO-Films" and that in combination with german poet "Goethe" and brickfilms with his poems. I made such brickfilms and called the producer for research in the product and my remix-idea. We both had a lough - and sure they had seen some of my animated clips and wrote that episode. I asked for permission to make it a "lego-Film" again and here we are. 3 years later - because the project was sleeping in my head a long time. planed that with minifigs first, but made it different, as it was also a long dream having some kind of brick-based Stop-Motion-Puppets. They are based somehow on the LEGO 31019 (Monkey) - a set i really liked and used for animation in clips before. But you know - it´s descended from the apes Have fun, Steffen

  3. Hi Eurobricks and swashbucklers. I haven't posted much of my own making in recent years, simply because well.. let's just say I'm a bit lazy. Sorry! Back in 2015-2016 when I was 15 -16 years old (I know, easy to remember) I started messing around a bit with a custom built ship and No. 6721 "Imperial Flagship" (which was one of the last second hand set I bought). It was also at that time I discovered the Aubrey-Maturin novels, and began devouring them in a way you don't expect from someone my age. I also found out a movie adaption was made, containing various elements from the novels. I watched it, and again, and again, and I became a bit obsessed with the story and historical accuracy. And I was (and still am) a lego fan. So 1+1 is 2, ey? I grabbed a green robe and tried recreating a scene! Thanks to a friend who helped me with final cut pro and my mother for sewing the sails, I am very glad I can present to you a movie I should've released three years ago! Here's something I had much fun working on, with vague images, laughable special effects and the occasional video thrown in. Please enjoy. I hope I inspire someone to make a perfect version of this. Kind regards, Captain Edward, or on youtube: Jiskpirate P.S. Be sure to check out my older animations on my channel, with some being reasonably successful, although not too good. For me, my channel is one big plaza of nostalgia.
  4. This is my second episode of Teddy and Panda Pablo. Teddy is an unlucky guy and Panda Pablo is his friend. Hope you like it and please share your feedback with me!!

  6. Youtube Link Under the command of Captain Jonathan Archer, the NX-01 crew answers an urgent distress call only to quickly find themselves deep over their heads on a planet without any land mass. A Pritchard Studios Production. For more information, and to follow the progress of the film, see here. For some time I've been developing the idea for a Star Trek fanfilm. It's finally to the stage where I have something to show off! While the teaser here is entirely CG, the film itself will be mostly stop-motion, with effects shots and scenes of the ship rendered in Blender.

  10. Hey, everyone. I'm planning to start a stop-motion brickfilming hobby, and there's one piece I am looking for. I need multiple copies of the minifigure torso & arms of Velma Dinkley from Scooby-Doo. BrickLink - Part 973pb2063c01 - Velma Torso I'm having no luck finding any copies of this piece anywhere on the Internet, and the Velma minifigure tends to be very expensive. So I could use some help from you guys. If anyone has any Velma minifigures that include her torso & arms or the minifigure piece alone, please feel free to reply if you're interested in helping me and I'll Private Message you. Thanks!

  13. Just realized I haven't posted a film here in a while. Might as well change that! A Stormtrooper gets into a little trouble... My first attempt at melding live action and stop-motion animation. It was made for a compilation of funny videos that had a tight deadline, and so is a bit rushed. However, I hope you enjoy it anyway.

  15. Good morning to you all. If several of you read this text diagonally, I'll be direct. YES, there is an test of MOC . With the agreement of the Eurobricks staff, We are here to announce a new competition in the AFOL universe. It is soberly entitled Summercontest2018. Every Monday morning, we will come to announce you a new event and you will generally have one week to participate. For each event, the 3 winners arriving at the top of the ranking will leave with magnificent prizes provided by our partners such as BrickWarriors, Brickstuff and of course LEGO. At each event, participants will obtain ranking points. These points will be added to each new round and then added to the general classification of the competition. It is not necessary to participate in all events, but the members of the podium who have accumulated the most points during the different events will receive an exclusive badge on their BàB profile as well as other surprises. As we are super nice, we give you the list of the tests in advance, just to put you in condition and to allow you to set your evenings between friends Week #1 : Script Contest (July 2 to July 8) Week #2 : Adaptation Contest (July 9 to July 14) Week #3 : Set design contest (July 16 to July 22) Week #4 : Animation Contest (July 23 to July 29) Week #5 : Soundtrack Contest (July 30 to August 5) Week #6 : Animation Contest (August 5 to August 12) Week #7 : Storyboard Contest (August 13 to August 19) Week #8 : Brickfilm contest (August 20 to September 2) We have arranged to insert a non brickfilmic proof and a brickfilmic proof each time, in order to avoid you the overdose! We hope you like this concept and that many of you will participate! We know that the brickfilm certainly rejects it, that's why, some tests are created to allow to participate without having any knowledge in the animation of a brickfilm. Writing a script, building a set... are easily achievable for an amateur MOCer. It is not necessary to have been a member of Brick-à-Brack to participate. The contest is open to all for all events you choose to participate. As you can imagine, a contest per week for two months is going to be complicated to manage for its staff, even if a lot of things have been prepared in advance we will have to judge the entries and it might take time, so if you don't want to participate in an event, that you are curious to discover the brickfilm, you want to offer us a helping hand to become a member of the jury. Of course, if you get on the jury, you become ineligible for the test you are marking. You can't be everywhere at once! Sorry: Send us a small MP if you feel like it. See you on July 2, 2018 for the announcement of the first event! May fate be favourable to you! We are at your disposal to answer your questions on this topic. find our old contests here
