    [MOC] Bookshelf Library WIP

Hey guys, I wanted to show you the latest thing I'm working on. It's a library inspired by the Kansas City Library's Parking Garage facade. I'm in the process of building it from real bricks and haven't done the interior yet. Here it is in our LUGs recent show.

    [MOC] A little French Corner

Hi everybody, This is my new MOC named a little french corner. I tried an original architecture, i did'n't took any model of real buildings that i usually do, so be nice with me ;) I made an haircut saloon on the left with his appartment on the 2nd and 3rd floor. In the middle, you have a fish market with the bricks of the 21310 lego ideas, with his restaurant where you can pick the fish and eat it on the 2nd floor. And on the right, a corridor with an elevator to access the last floor with a french radio named "BTLV" wich i'm a big fan (i always listen it in podcast when i'm making my legos...) For the last picture, it's a photo of me at age 6, with my father who passed away in june, he bought my first legos and create my passion... i want to dedicate this creation to my papa... [MOC] Liebherr TA 240

Hi, I would like to show you a MOC of a Liebherr TA 240 articulated dumper. The dumper is in 1:38 (or 1:37,5) so it nearly fits the minifig-scale. The cabin offers enough space for a driver and the rear axles are built with some kind of suspension. I really hope you like this MOC even the TA 240 isn't everyones favourite in terms of design :D You will find a few more images here Have a nice evening Chris
  6. Hello everyone,This is our latest project, the Main Square of Crema, a town in the Northern part of Italy. We represented the Cathedral (2016, see Discussion), the facade of the Palace of the Bishop (2018, in yellow), part of the City Hall (2018, with the tower and some interior). We are aware that the buildings need lots of improvements, concering both structure and quality details, but for now we didn't want to devote all of our time to this work and so this is a beta version which we hope to improve in the next years. We decided to add a Christmas atmosphere to the layout (forgive some improper clothes :P), but the idea is to transform it in a rainy layout, something quite uncommon. The whole MOC is made up of about 17.000 LEGO bricks. I add to this post some pictures of the city, so that you can compare them to the model. More pictures on Flickr.I will add some better when I have time to organize an adequate photo setting. Every suggestion is definitely welcome; we hope you will like our MOC! :)Thanks for reading,FBros

    [MOC] Prater Ferris Wheel

Hi all,We're back again to show you another old MOC, the Prater Ferris Wheel. The ferris wheel is built on the mechanism of the #4957 LEGO set and the style is that of the Prater in Wien, while the café and the park are invented. The work consists of about 8000 LEGO bricks (80 minifigures included). You can notice plenty of details, including people taking a selfie, fallen leaves, frightened people escaping from the park, jogging guys, pretty girls, elegant couples waiting for their high-class wagon, men at work, plants, bike raks and so on. Here are some photos; you can find more on our Flickr profile. Thanks for visiting! FBros

    E-Tronix (Electrical goods store)

My 7th Modular Building! This has been been around for a while now, and I've finally finished It's a second-hand electrics store, something along the lines of Cash Converters. TV's, computers, Hi-Fi equipment and musical instruments. FIRST FLOOR: E-Tronix - main entrance, with main sales desk. Also on this floor there is a lift that can be accessed from the rear alley or through the back office. SECOND FLOOR: E-Tronix second floor - PC's, TV's, Hi-fi, and musical instruments for sale. THIRD FLOOR: Stock room. - Racks of shelving with several cardboard boxes! It's a bit of a mess, could do with a tidy up! Hope you enjoy. Please feel free to leave me a comment if you have any questions or comments! Craig, August 2018

Nowadays, we're working on the adjacent square, with the goal to complete it in a few years. We will be posting updates very soon. As for the MOC itself, we chose a 1:75 scale, so that it could be populated with minifigs, without being too huge and expensive. The Cathedral consists of about 9600 bricks. Some techniques were inspired by others' works, while some were developed for the purpose of maintaining the most possible similarity to the real Cathedral. Hope you will enjoy! Every suggestion is welcome! FBros

    MOC: Sun 'n' Surf

Hello fellow EB members; I've made a small MOC to experiment with different techniques and see what I can do with narrower buildings to what I'm used to. This is a Mediterranean influenced street with a Surf shop, restaurant and place to buy ice cream. It's taken a month or so to put together, no interiors but 3 pics to show you what I've come up with; If you have any comments or questions about techniques etc, please ask! If you wish to view them at Flickr you can find them here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/52656812@N04/ Cheers!

    [MOC] Shell Tanker

Hell again, wanted to share another moc I made, this one was more ambitious, and contains a lot of pieces for such a small model. I quite like trucks, semi's etc, so I did a whole series of them in LDD, and took the plunge to get the actual bricks to make one, the Shell Tanker. It's a little nod to set 671 Sgell Petrol Tanker which I had as a a kid. It's a small model only 4 studs wide, but I tried to put as much detail as I could in it. such as the mirrors on the cab, smokestack, shovel for spills ;). I had an idea for the trailer, borrowed from the small enterprise I did, which worked out well for a rounded brick based tanker. The cab on it's own, with the mirror showing, it's own petrol (gas) tanks, smoke stack and shovel ;) The trailer has a kick stand to support it on it's own when detached from the cab, and I tried put in some details as best I could such as the control gages tile and valve in this shot; On the other side, the hose connectors to supply the fuel at the Lego Town petrol station: A last shot of the whole tanker, from a different angle: A few more photos on my Flickr: MOC Shell Tanker Thanks for looking again, and hoped you liked it. As a final thought, with some colour changes, this could become an Octan Tanker as well.

  17. Hi everyone You may have seen my MOC modular buildings on here recently, The Queen Bricktoria and Brick Square Post Office. For my new project I've decided to build something completely different. This is also my first ever entry as a Lego Ideas project. "A roaring fire and a full head of steam, the old traction engine is ready for work!" I have created a scene set some time during the early 20th century. Farmers are working in the fields with their steam traction engine, affectionately known as "The Old Workhorse". The model includes a detailed mini fig scale traction engine, a wagon and various other accessories and mini builds. THE TRACTION ENGINE The main feature of the model is the traction engine itself. I've used a classic green and red livery with polished brass lining and details. There are several interesting parts used to create this engine including paint roller handles and mini fig syringes used to create the piping around the boiler and inside the cab. A system of cogs ensures that the flywheel spins around as the traction engine is pushed forward. A detailed cab interior includes steering wheel, controls and a firebox door that can be opened and closed to reveal the burning fire inside. The front wheel axle can be pivoted left and right. THE WAGON I've also included a wagon/trailer that can be coupled to the back of the traction engine and used to carry the various accessories included with the model. The sides of the wagon can be dropped down to provide loading access for the mini figs. There is space at the front of the wagon to hold tools and mini fig accessories. MINIFIGURES & OTHER ACCESSORIES Included with the model are 2 mini figs, a dog, a rat and several mini builds including tree stumps, logs and rocks. These are all designed to be carried and towed in the wagon. THE FINISHED MODEL The overall model contains 480 pieces. Here is a shot of The Old Workhorse, steaming past the buildings in my MOC modular street. LEGO IDEAS As mentioned earlier this is my first entry as a Lego Ideas project. If you like what you see then I really would be so grateful if you could please support my project on Lego Ideas, and help The Old Workhorse to gather steam. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/2a2ec583-9836-4868-8dc7-6b3bb0a2fe80 Thank you very much for taking the time to read this and I hope you like the model. Feel free to let me know what you think. If you'd like to see more pictures, there are many more on my Flickr page. Edit: I've added a new brick built version of the model on page 2 of this topic.

  19. So I'm wondering if it's possible to squeeze the Creator Pirate Rollercoaster into my village somewhere. Whether or not I can will probably decide whether or not I get it. Which brings me to the question; are there any ways people who already have the set have discovered to make it more ergonomical? Modding it to incorporate other things around, under or over it? So that it takes up less space? Please advise!

    Pirates truck with track sweeper

This all terrain truck has a SECRET FEATURE: It can have a pair of palm leaves connecting to the rear of the car. When the truck moves, the leaves move from one side to the other, removing road tracks when the pirates are escaping through dirt roads. You can see it working in the video. Besides that, it also has doors and hood cover that opens. The back cover can be removed, so it can be used in two configurations. It is a improved version from another one I made ten years ago... I know there is a "Pirates theme" here in Eurobricks but I didn't post there because I think it is for old traditional pirates, not those ones. More pictures in the album.

    MOC: The Brixton Hotel

Hello EB members and all! I put together a quick build (Quick for me - 1 month!) whilst I was waiting for a delivery for another project and got pretty into this 1930's Art-Deco themed hotel MOC. I very much enjoy doing interiors and this was a good excuse to have a go at some new SNOT techniques - for me. The new rounded tiles were a great alternative to an otherwise straight patterned floor. It was also fun to go with some darker colours for a change, although I found them very difficult to photograph with all the reflections. Shout out to @timmyc1983 - I stole the name for the hotel after your town layout, I suppose every town needs a hotel though! Thanks again! Anyway on with the pics, all 3 of them; You can view them at Flickr here if you prefer: https://www.flickr.com/photos/52656812@N04/ Comments, questions about techniques etc all welcome! Cheers!
  23. If you're a fan of Modular Buildings, then this MOC has two buildings in one, with tons of detail in both. Bricked1980 brings us this Post Office and Fish & Chip shop hybrid to add to his ever-increasing line of Modulars. Head on over to the Town Forum for a better look at the buildings, their interiors, and the Post Office Van!

    [MOC] BRICK SQUARE POST OFFICE

Hi everyone I'd like to present my latest MOC, and the follow up to my previous Modular, "The Queen Bricktoria Pub". This time I've designed another British style building, a Post Office, set some time during the late 1950's. There is much more to it than just a Post Office though. Read on to find out more... As you can see this modular building has 3 floors and is built on a 32 x 32 base plate. I have designed it to appear as 2 separate buildings situated around a small town square. The post office is intended to be the main focus of the model but the building on the right also contains a fish & chip shop and other businesses. The Minifigures I've included 6 minifigs with this MOC. From left to right they are: Post Office Worker, Post Office Manager, The Postman, Chip Shop Owner, Cafe Barista and a Business man. Brick Square and Ground Level Details Both the buildings are arranged around "Brick Square". I've included a small flowering tree in the centre of the square and outside the post office there is a pillar box, bench, rubbish bin and flower pots. Outside the fish and chip shop is a table with parasol. The Pillar box is a simple build made up from 2x2 round bricks, plates and tiles, stacked up and held together with a technic axle running through the middle. The shaped slot section towards the top is made from a red wheel flipped on its side. Sandwiched between both buildings is a shared stairwell which can be accessed from the street. This is how the minifigs access the upper floors. The Post Office The pictures below show the interior of the post office. Mail Sorting Office On the floor above the post office is the room where all the mail gets sorted, ready to be sent out. This room is accessed via the stair well outside the post office. Fish & Chip Shop Another iconic British building - a fish and Chip Shop. The shop sells chips, battered fish, burgers, sausages and drinks. Coffee Shop Above the Fish & Ship Shop is a little cafe with a coffee machine, cake stand, table and seat. In the corner of the cafe is a stair case leading up to the top floor. Office Above the cafe is an office used by a local businessman. I've included a desk with drawers, telephone and paperwork. There is also a grandfather clock and plant pots. Mail Van I have also included a vehicle with this MOC, a vintage style Mail van. The Finished Model Here is a shot of the Brick Square Post Office, alongside my other modulars, The Queen Bricktoria and Convenience Store. If you'd like to read more about these other MOCs then follow the links below. Convenience Store Queen Bricktoria Thanks very much for reading. If you'd like to see more pictures of the Brick Square Post Office then head across to my Flickr page, I've added over 60 pictures of it there. I hope you like my latest MOC, feel free to leave comments and let me know what you think. EDIT: Building instructions for this MOC are now available from Rebrickable at the following link https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-22101/Bricked1980/brick-square-post-office/#comments
