    Vehicles in my town: updates

Hello people! This summer I've updated several MOC vehicles in my town. Hope you'll enjoy! first, the taxi: now converted to 6-wide and a few more realistic touches; The TV van has been updated too; Tow truck totally rebuilt; more realistic look for the hot rod; total rebult for the ambulance too; Mail delivery van converted in a 3-wheeled van (like an Ape Piaggio) so it can move with more agilty into narrow streets; and finally the car transported, with updated mechanism: Hope you liked these vehicles and if you want to see more check my flickt gallery: Salvatore | Flickr
  4. I like the official set 40469 Tuk Tuk, but somehow I am not satisfied it is a little bit out of minifigure scale. So I design one by myself. I also posted the building instruction in the video. Welcome to take a look:

Tribute to Syd Mead: The Metrokab

Small tribute to a great industrial designer and neofuturistic concept artist who left this world just two days ago. He was a great influence on many works of science fiction (Blade Runner for example). This cubicle on wheels is based on the Metrocabs that roam the streets in the ever so rainy Los Angeles in Blade Runner. IMG_20191231_205609 IMG_20191231_205516 IMG_20191231_205701 IMG_20191231_205645 IMG_20191231_205632 The MOC itself might be a bit older, but i decided to make a few new pictures of it (still getting familiar with my pop up photo cube) Has Syd Mead, his works or his style ever inspired you? Well, how about a big roundup and show all your cyberpunk and/or near future-eque MOCs

    [MOC] VINTAGE YELLOW TAXI

Hi everyone This is my new MOC. A vintage taxi loosely based on American style taxicabs from the 1950's / 60's. The model is 6 studs wide and contains 187 parts. I've designed this model as my entry in a contest currently running on LEGO Ideas. The brief is to design a vintage car to compliment the style of the LEGO modular buildings. i felt that a taxi would fit the bill pretty well, especially with the more recent American style modulars like Downtown Diner and Corner Garage. Anyway It's a long shot but if I was lucky enough to win the contest then this model would be released as a future gift with purchase set. Here's the link to contest entry over on LEGO Ideas. VINTAGE YELLOW TAXICAB The trunk can be opened to provide plenty of space for luggage. there is enough space inside the taxi to seat three minifigures. Here's a pic showing the taxi alongside 2 of my MOC modular buildings which are both also on LEGO Ideas, Bricks & Blooms and Brick Town Police Station. I hope you like the model, feel free to let me know what you think.

  13. Here are my latest, Actually completed and posted on the last day of the last year. I am a big child and I wanted to make some cute old-timers, and are there cuter cars than those from the 40's? Anyway, I made toys I could play with when I put my kids off to sleep and so I did. Everything opens and each model's got something extra. For example Fleetmaster Fastback version which is the police vehicle's got guns and a rifle. Coupe version for the Fire Chief's got some fire extinguishers, Sedan version which is the TAXI's got 2 suitcases and the Delivery stretched Ambulance version some medical gear an oxigen tank, water tank with a pipe and a gurney. I hope you like these and if you want to see more it's on Flickr. Just click on the pic

[MOC] Lego City Future - Hovercab

Lego City Future - Hovercab ------------------------------------ Inspired by the amazing Shapes of Gerald Riedmann`s Work i designed another neat little Hovercar for my "Lego City Future" Scenario. This Taxi Van was build for tight urban Landscapes.Large Doors ensure the easy Entrance of Passengers on both Sides and the Taxi can be piloted by a biological Humanoid and a Droid. The Roof shows a bit of Advertising and the rear End houses the powerful Antigrav Engine. 20170709_181529 20170709_181548 20170709_181554 20170709_181613 20170709_181637 20170709_181645 20170709_181717 This Model was quite fun to build, even if it has some minor Kinks. The dark green Roofs were actually just used until some black or yellow Parts can be found but after a while i really started to like the Color Combination of yellow, black and dark green. Hope you like this new MOC,Comments are always welcome.

Öncam & Egzoz Inc. chauffeur services mineral oils & lubricants Team Öncam & Egzoz by Filius Rucilo on Flickr. Öncams are ottoman immigrants in second and third generation ... Well ... emm, they are Germans! As the ancestors of the Candagios the Öncams migrate in the early 50th to Cross-Axleton for working at LMW motorworks. After work and on weekends they not only do a second job as taxi-drivers but breed many more little ottomans. (in the 50th there was no Turkish satellite TV available...) 15 years ago the old father Öncam realized that his children and grandchildren will never go "home" to turkey because they are all Germans. They only spent their holidays in Turkey.However. After the old Josef Fuhmacher retired, Öncams took over the fuel station and the taxi central in Snottingen. He turned eBay upside down for snatching historic Octan Sings, oil cabinets and fuel pumps. His personal highlight is the old cash register. Octan-Figure by Filius Rucilo on Flickr. Today is big reopening of the fuel station. In last second Erwin Pumpöler delivers fresh fuel into the underground tanks. Hakan Güler, chief mechanican at Önvam&Egzoz Inc., blow up the giant Octan figure this morning and is now helping Erwin at filling the tanks. In the afternoon the Octan Racong Team will visit the fuel station with the huge 4x4 Offraoder. Hakan is big fan of the team an wears already the Octan-Racing-Shirt for welcome the racing team. Filling up the Underground tanks by Filius Rucilo on Flickr. Meanwhile the first customer refueld his car an pay for the gas. Handan Egzos-Öncam today operates the cash desk. Normally she manages the taxi central but today the temporary staff does her job. Cash Desk by Filius Rucilo on Flickr. Rriiiiiiinngggg! Taxi for Schrippenkneter, Bricksuferstraße, to train station please! Taxi Central by Filius Rucilo on Flickr. Now the moment of Adem Özwurst comes up! The talented taxi driver and Elvis fan knows all shortenings and radar traps in Snottingen. Every time you have a discussion with him the talk ends at "Elvis" and "driving Memphis". So let's keep fingers crossed that this order really goes to the train station... Adem Ützwurst by Filius Rucilo on Flickr. Hakan Güler( Chief Mechanican ) Erwin Pumpöler ( Octan-Truck Driver ) customers and passerby Statistics First documents of the Fuelstation dated in October 2015. I finalized the MOC on LDD in November 2016 and bought the parts form January to April 2017. The final build up was done in end of April 2017. The MOC consists of 5.800 parts plus street elements and vehicles we have overall 7.700 parts. The taxi cars and the Limo are rebricks of 60050 (Taxi) and 60102 (Limo). Some elements of the Octan-Figure are not available in the desired color, so i've took grey ones. Find more pictures on Flickr. More storys about Snottingen at snottingen.de (Only german) And now something totally different: I apologize for my terrible english. :-)
  16. And if they do,how do those Plastic Sheep arrive, maybe with a Taxi? Well,i can`t answer these Questions for sure, but i guess most People got the Reference to the Movie "Blade Runner" that was based on the Book "Do Androids dream of electric Sheep?" Sure,we all admire the cool dark blue hovering Police Spinner or maybe even Deckards infamous Sedan. But what about all the other Cars that showed up randomly in the Movie? One of these Cars is the Metrokab. This Taxi might not be pretty but it gets the Job done and if you insist on arriving at Home dry without getting soaked in the Rain then this should be your Mode of Transportation by Choice. 20161108_210048 by Christian Weber, auf Flickr 20161108_210108 by Christian Weber, auf Flickr 20161108_210120 by Christian Weber, auf Flickr 20161108_184330 by Christian Weber, auf Flickr 20161108_184321 by Christian Weber, auf Flickr 20161108_210339 by Christian Weber, auf Flickr 20161108_210320 by Christian Weber, auf Flickr 20161108_210305 by Christian Weber, auf Flickr 20161108_210230 by Christian Weber, auf Flickr 20161108_210211 by Christian Weber, auf Flickr 20161108_210201 by Christian Weber, auf Flickr 20161108_210150 by Christian Weber, auf Flickr 20161108_210145 by Christian Weber, auf Flickr I used various Pictures and Concept Drawings as a Guideline on how to build my own Version. This Car perfectly represents how they imagined futuristic Cars in the early 80s.Covered Wheels,Vents and ribbed Surfaces everywhere and don`t forget those massive Bumpers. I really hope you Guys like my newest MOC and it would be nice to see some Comments.
  17. Lego City Future - Vintage Hovercab A while ago i presented you a sleek and modern Hovercab. This aerodynamic Vehicle was build from Day 1 as a Hovercar and was build for Speed and even for flying in higher Altitutes,so you could even call a Cab in the 200th Floor of your Apartmentcomplex. Compared to this,my newest MOC rather depicts a sluggish and old Vehicle from the so called "Rubber-Era" which was the Time when all Vehicles were still earthbound and moved on Rubbertyres. As you may know by now, converting an existing 4 wheeled Car into a Hovercar by replacing most of the Drivetrain and the Chassis by some Aftermarket Hover-Engines is cheaper than bying a new Hovercar.Taxes and Insurance are also way lower because they cause less Accidents and they preserve historic Vehicles. When this Yellow Cab was still new,it was a large, almost enormous and elegant Car with a powerfull Engine and a Suspension you might think the Car was floating on Clouds. Not much has changed since then.Still big, still comfortable and under the Hood a huge and powerful Engine.Sure, nowadays,it`s an electric Plasma-Turbine but it`s the Idea that Counts. The only Downside:Better don`t try to float over Structures taller than 3 Meters. The Hoverpads can defeat Gravity up to a certain Point.but try to get higher and you will hit the Ground like a Rock. I also added some Pictures with my earlier build Hovercab, which depicts the modern Hovercar. Hope you like my newest MOC and enjoyed a bit my little history about Hovercars in Lego World...
  18. Ladies and Gentlemen, feast your Eyes on my newest Addition to my "Lego City Future" Theme: the Yellow Cab! Everyone needs a Cab from Time to Time. And if you need a fast one, better call for Frank. He has the fastest yellow Cab in Lego City and also one of the coolest.Huge Air Intakes and some wild Graphics on the Hood make it look as fast as it is. Sure, some Customers might need a Barf Bag after a Ride in Frank`s Cab but they sure are never late. There`s only one Problem:From Time to Time Frank gets into Trouble with the local Police....of course because of speeding :D I hope you like my newest Moc.Comments are welcome
  19. Hi all, some of you may have seen the underfloor of this car already. It has been built as a slot car from scratch, that's why it's the most stable slot car we have so far. Some facts: 7 studs wide. Fits 3 whole minifigs, even 4, when omitting the rear windows. To my own surprise it is possible to seat 2 figs side by side even in such a setup which increases the possibilities very much. Don't know why I haven't tried this before ... The car has the usual slot car chassis with moveable rear and steerable front axle, see www.flickr.com/photos/er0l/10383446935/. Hey All, This build is still a WIP but I like where it is at right now so I thought I'd let everyone take a look. It is a Dune Taxi modeled after a beetle. I was initially inspired by this image. Let me know what you think. Thanks! rongYIREN
