    [MOC] Kylo Ren shuttle

Hi, I present you my version of the suttle of Kylo Ren. It's not an UCS (some details are differents) but it correspond to the idea that I have of this ship : a black shadow. I kept the sytem to open the cockpit at the front and the back, but I didn't worked inside yet. At the begining, wings could be vertical, but considering the weight of wings, I have to change and they are fixed (but it's only to display in my dedicated room) Complete album flickr of this MOC : https://www.flickr.com/photos/138759056@N05/albums/72157687270801021 IMG_20171019_175236 IMG_20171019_175013 IMG_20171019_175203 IMG_20171019_175101 IMG_20171019_174854 IMG_20171019_175026 IMG_20171019_175051 IMG_20171019_175328 IMG_20171019_175306 IMG_20171019_175738 IMG_20171019_175643 IMG_20171019_175546 IMG_20171019_175505 IMG_20171019_175343 IMG_20171019_175844 IMG_20171019_175922

  5. Yes, ANOTHER thread with MOD´s of the Imperial Shuttle and First Order TIE. :) Well I thought I´d share these anyway. The Imperial shuttle is one of my favourite vehicles of the OT, so what started with a couple of tiles ended up with a couple of Bricklink orders. The wings are made in the same way as the top fin (and UCS wings). Bricks and Technic beams. The end result turned out very nice. The cockpit needed to be thinner when made out of all white parts. The designers of 75094 and 10212 used gray in a very clever way to make the cockpit look thin yet still hold figs. In my flickr there is a before and after photo of the cockpit during the mod. There is no room for a copilot anymore but the troop area remained unchanged. Alot of tweaks and rebuilds later I feel finished. There is room for improvement but at the moment i´m satisfied. b] shuttle01 by mordatre, on Flickr shuttle03 by mordatre, on Flickr shuttle04 by mordatre, on Flickr shuttle08 by mordatre, on Flickr And now the First Order Special Forces TIE Fighter 75101. Main differences are the now white wings and the inner spokes on the wings. The inner spokes are, as you know a problem since the first TIE Fighter released. I am satisfied with the solution I came up with using technic connectors and axles. I tried using longer axles but then they bent outwards because of the plates, so I used the shorter ones for a sleeker look. The top cannon got rebuilt to look more like the one on Hasbro´s model. I also extended the main body so the model is two studs wider than the official set. FOSpecialForcesTIE01 by mordatre, on Flickr FOSpecialForcesTIE02 by mordatre, on Flickr FOSpecialForcesTIE04 by mordatre, on Flickr There is already a great version of the standard FO TIE in this forum by user belkor. He inspired me to make my own. I based mine on 75101. I´m currently awaiting parts to incorporate the spokes on the inside of the wings as I did on my Special Forces TIE. Other than that this one is also two studs wider. FirstorderTIEfighter02 by mordatre, on Flickr FirstorderTIEfighter04 by mordatre, on Flickr FirstorderTIEfighter03 by mordatre, on Flickr
  6. The Platipus Class Imperial Shuttle never saw extensive service. It was designed to be slightly smaller than the Tydirium Class with heavy missile armament, but its dependency on supply lines quickly got the project cancelled after a handful of them saw limited action against pirate raiders. The foot soldiers liked it because it was a mix between a Tank Buster and a Transport vehicle ( MI-24 Hind wink wink ) I wanted to design something that had the marks of a Star Wars craft with added shapes inspired by real life animals (Platipus) and aquatic insects (Water beetle) with a Tie Advanced jammed in there :D The craft has no internals. It is just for display. Feedback is welcome
  7. Hello guys, I have finished now the Imperial Shuttle I started already a while ago: Now all of the functions actually work, and the details of the ship have been finished so that everything should look as smooth as possible. The work was pretty hard balance between accurate looks, working functions and durability, and I am now quite happy with the result. ^^ Here is a video showing the functions that include: - 2 x lasercannons - 2 x missiles - Backcannon All of the cannons are launched by pressing different buttons at the bottom of the ship. The mechanisms behind this are rather complicated and they are based on the use of fishing wire that delivers the force to the right place. - Wings automatically turn the landing gear open and close. Also, the white covering plates of the landing gear open and close automatically. The wingcannons also turn up and down automatically, though on the video they are a little jammed. - Boarding ramp and an opening and accessible hatch. - Removable walls, wall and cockpit canopy. - Cockpit seats 4 minifigures, the interior has 2 seats, but can accomodate a platoon of up to 8+ minifigures or even more, if you don't care about comfort. - Samppu
  8. Finally got my Kylo Ren command shuttle converted to all black with red viewing port and folding wings. I think it turned out decent and is still very playable and swooshable! Started on it last January, but became addicted to Star Wars Battlefront for way too long after getting a PS4 at Christmas. Anyway with the recent release of Krennic's shuttle in mostly all black, I got inspired to pick up the black pieces from many Bricklink orders and finish my conversion of Kylo Ren's shuttle. I wish I could have gotten the red viewing port "fangs" to transition a little better into the top portion, but it still looks pretty good from a distance. Removing all the cross linked technic beams opened up a lot of room in the interior. I added two sets of the technic rotation joint disks to each wing and now they have three clickable positions for folding up and down. 75104 Kylo Ren Command Shuttle MOD by Shawn Minkey, on Flickr 75104 Kylo Ren Command Shuttle MOD by Shawn Minkey, on Flickr 75104 Kylo Ren Command Shuttle MOD by Shawn Minkey, on Flickr 75104 Kylo Ren Command ShuttleIMG_4497 MOD by Shawn Minkey, on Flickr 75104 Kylo Ren Command Shuttle MOD by Shawn Minkey, on Flickr 75104 Kylo Ren Command Shuttle MOD by Shawn Minkey, on Flickr 75104 Kylo Ren Command Shuttle MOD by Shawn Minkey, on Flickr 75104 Kylo Ren Command Shuttle MOD by Shawn Minkey, on Flickr 75104 Kylo Ren Command Shuttle MOD by Shawn Minkey, on Flickr 75104 Kylo Ren Command Shuttle MOD by Shawn Minkey, on Flickr 75104 Kylo Ren Command Shuttle MOD by Shawn Minkey, on Flickr 75104 Kylo Ren Command Shuttle MOD by Shawn Minkey, on Flickr 75104 Kylo Ren Command Shuttle MOD by Shawn Minkey, on Flickr Command Shuttles Comparison by Shawn Minkey, on Flickr Command Shuttles Comparison by Shawn Minkey, on Flickr
  9. Hey guys. I thought I would post a video of my Airport. I "think" I am finally done messing with it for a while. It now has a general aviation area, a much larger main terminal, a rebuilt tower, a seaport and many other improvements. I also wanted to incorporate the new airplane sets that came out this year. So here it is. Hope you like the airport. Next project is finding a place for the modular coming out in Jan!
  10. This is my movie-accurate Lambda-Class Imperial Shuttle, designed from pictures of the movie model, set photos of the full-scale mockup used for filming, and the book Star Wars Complete Cross Sections. It is highly detailed inside and out, with a full interior with space for 6 minifigures in the cockpit and a further 18 in the cargo/passenger compartment and a detailed drive section. The wings are fully positionable, as is the boarding ramp, wing cannons, and fully retracting landing gear. The MOC borrowed the basic head design from the UCS model but is 1.5 times larger and much more faithful to the source material. This MOC took a week to build, with particular challenges in the wing fold mechanism and landing gear. Would love to hear feedback! http://mocpages.com/moc.php/380384

  12. Hi all, I wanted to present this MOC that I built originally for the Evolved contest on FBTB but due to various circumstances, I could not complete it on time. Anyway, I thought it was a brilliant contest idea and therefore I decided to complete my MOC eventually. The most important aspect of a MOC contest is not winning. It is not even participating, but it is definitively building one's own creations. :D Therefore, please let me present you my Sheathipede-class transport shuttle Evolved. Thirty years after the fall of Palpatine, the First Order is running at full speed its rearmament program. In order to be able to quickly ship troops to all corners of the known and unknown galaxy, the First Order looks toward reliable, effective, multi-purpose transport ships providing a flexible and large freight capacity. Some of the First Orders engineers decided to base their design on an old separatist shuttle dating from the Clone Wars: the Sheathipede. And they made it evolve... 13. Location: E11 - The Fascini Cluster Tags: Vehicle, Spaceship, Land Vehicle, Exploration, Civil --Weekly Explorer's Transmission-- --Log of Eagle-Eye Silver-- --12 Oktobrinali 3815-- After Kawashita spent some time mining Sector E11, a treaty was struck to share the awesomnium-rich asteroid field between Kawashita and Octan Corp. The sharing agreement gives Octan Corp. the opportunity to acquire the precious resource. I’ve been piloting an OT-14 Zelus dropship-style shuttle this past week making cargo runs between the large asteroids in the Fascini Cluster. It’s fairly menial work, confirming a different manifest a few times a day and running between asteroid and fleet endlessly. At least the Zelus is nimble and quick. The four Pegasus TFG thrusters are controlled independently by the flight control computer and that vectoring makes for impressive maneuverability for landing and docking as well as at high speed. There’re even rumors of Octan SpecOps modifying some of these shuttles for their use, and of course painting them black. After piloting this thing for a week, I can certainly see the appeal. --End-- I really need to build more in the week! More pics tomorrow-ish, I need some sleep...
  14. Hi All, Back in february I started to work with LEGO trains again, after many years. One thing I wanted, was to see if I could make a train wagon to transport the Shuttles (set 10231) orange tank! I don't have any Maersk trains or anything like it, but anyway, the build started. So, after some trials and errors, I ended up with this design: IMG_0502 by Marook, on Flickr It's basically two ends with a long rod inbetween, normally seen on some huge trucks with special transport (like windmill parts etc..) The end looks like this, up close: IMG_0503 by Marook, on Flickr And here is the middle facing side: IMG_0504 by Marook, on Flickr Loaded, it looks like this: IMG_0505 by Marook, on Flickr IMG_0507 by Marook, on Flickr As far as I could meassure, it's 47 studs long without the tank loaded. I still need something to fix the tank during transport, but it's actually quite stable, and runs LEGO curves fine.. Hope you like it..

    [MOC] Upsilon-class Lander

Figured I wanted to make somethin' like a Sentinel-class Shuttle to carry all the shiny stormtroopers I got for Christmas, but since 1. I don't have the correct color or shape of colors to make a perfect Sentinel and 2. I also wanted my shuttle to carry AT-STs, I decided to go my own way with this. So, here is construction log one: As you can see, I have a tidy little gearbox that the wings are attatched to. Here's the crank that operates it (I'll turn it in to something prettier later.) And here's with the wings folded down. That's it for today! Come back tomorrow for more!

Back by [DustyBricks], on Flickr 9. Controls by [DustyBricks], on Flickr Hello all, this Galileo 7 shuttlecraft from the original Star Trek series is my latest creation. Once again, I tried to build it like a Lego set with as many play features as possible. This build depicts the shuttlecraft Galileo 7 landing on Taurus II only to meet a large, stone/spear throwing anthropoid on the planet surface, as in the original episode "Galileo Seven". So, yeah, I'm in a very Star trek mood... Anyway, Enjoy! Video with all of the play features: https://flic.kr/p/qmVBVY

  18. The Imperial Base located in...I don´t know where...in a frozen planet in an uncharted system where the Imperial troops try to secure new energy sources and raw materials for sustaining the military effort. Although the basis of the troops are snowtroopers (109), there is a small platoon of the Special Operations Unit. This unit has many tasks, and one of them is to complement the reconaissance work of some of the drones. And these drones sometimes find a valuable prey. As soon as the location of the prey is known, a squad is send to get the pray because the Base Commander wants to arrange a BBQ. However, they don´t always arrive on time and nothing but bones is what they find. Oh! A wampa! This is rather a dangerous enemy! And the troops open fire, of course, in self defense. But a wounded wampa is a very dangerous creature, and more if it is at point blank. And the result is a stormtrooper with a leg amputated. Fortunately, the attack was reported and the evacuation APD was sent. The Base hospital was calmed. The medical officer was checking his IMPBOOK profile. The APD landed and two off-duty snowies were sent with a stretcher to help in the movement to the operating room. One of his fellows takes his leg before the injured stomtrooper gets inside. Quickly!!! The medical droid, also known as "You´d rather not meet me" is ready and starts the work. Wow! The leg is in place! It is so fast that the stormtrooper runs away. His fellow and the doctor are impressed. Have two additional pics of the Hospital. Enjoy! You can check it on mocpages, http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/393662

    [WIP] New Shuttle Cockpit

Recently I've been working on modding a 7166-1 Imperial shuttle, and I decided that I should make a new cockpit. The current one is a little unfaithful, so I took a crack at it. The cockpit should be quite small and thin, which I tried to encompass in my new cockpit. Any suggestions and comments are welcome. If anyone wants, here is the current LFX file:Imperial shuttle mods 2.lxf One problem is there will probably not be room for any figs, but it would look better. The underside. Still no floor.
  20. The border between the prosperous Galactic core and the more lawless Rim is loosely defined, but most legitimate traders use the American colony world of New Washington as the unofficial border. The spaceport is clean and and well kept and the bribes are low. Many different classes and types of ships, on either side of the law, pass through New Washington, including Hangar B-51. Below are some of the security-cortex images. [[OOC: I was a little bored of taking photos of ships on a blank background, and wanted to test out creating a backdrop with some character to it. [Micro MOC] Diplomatic Shuttle

Swiftsure-class Diplomatic Shuttle by TenorPenny, on Flickr Swiftsure-class Diplomatic Shuttle by TenorPenny, on Flickr Swiftsure-class Diplomatic Shuttle by TenorPenny, on Flickr Decked out white, the universal colour of peace and neutrality, the Swiftsure is used in times of war by the great Solar Navies to ferry important diplomats and personnel from place to place, with all organised military forces having agreed to never attack such a shuttle, on pain of court martial. Two ion engines make the shuttle as quick as it's namesake, whilst the roomy interior has room for a head of state and their entire retinue to travel in comfort and style. The Swiftsure's reputation has been tarnished just once, when the Italian Fascist League stole one, loaded it with explosives and managed to get close enough to the Earth defensive net to destroy half of the New Washington solar platform, with significant loss of life. Ever since, the Swiftsure computer cores have been upgraded to carry layers and layers of code, in order to confirm and double confirm identifies of the crew and people on board. [Micro MOC] AS-27 Escort Shuttle

AS-27 Escort Shuttle by skapunkplaything, on Flickr AS-27 Escort Shuttle by skapunkplaything, on Flickr AS-27 Escort Shuttle by skapunkplaything, on Flickr The '27 was first commissioned for the wealthy gas traders of Saturn at the turn of the century, but has seen widespread use in a number of areas since. These traders were highly prized targets of kidnappers and pirates throughout the Sol System and beyond, and soon realised that if they failed to travel well armed, they might as well not travel at all. In that vein, the '27 was designed and put into production by the military arm of Lockheed-Franklin. With a thick, duranium armoured hide and three (one heavy dorsal, two underslung medium) plasma cannons, it was at first deemed too well armed for civilian use. A couple of bribes later, and the AS-27 was rolled out and bought in droves by wealthy VIPs, traders, governments and NGOs. It has since, of course, made it's way into more unscrupulous hands and has been used as a boarding craft, gunship and loot-boat. Length: 39m Crew: 2. Passengers: 25, or 12 armoured marines. Armament: 1 x Heavy Plasma Cannon (dorsal). 2 x Medium Plasma turrets. Computer: MS2700H (under licence)

    MOC: Transit / Airport Shuttle

Just thought I'd show you guys one of my newest little MOCs: a Transit shuttle. This shuttle has multiple uses in various cities/towns across the world. Most popular include transit and airport services. It also is one of my first MOCs to be completely pre-designed using LDD. Here's a YT video showing some features.
  24. I recently stumbled on the work of Master Beef (with fries) on flickr, and his work is very impressive. Take for example his Lambda-class shuttle: Somehow he manages to interrupt the smoothness and appears to have altered some of the angles of the ‘real’ vehicle — and yet the model is unmistakeable, it looks very Star Wars-ish, and it looks refined, done with seemingly tacked-on shapes but with purpose, like good greebling. Plus there’s some very nice shaping in there. And don’t miss his other Star Wars MOCs, like his Y-wing and his 74-Z:
