    LEGO Modular Hospital

Behold HOSPITAL cabinets idea... posted in ideas (support if you'd like to have it as a set) The whole concept behind this idea is to divide into sections several parts of the hospital with their specific medical specialties - in this example we have a stomatologist (commonly named dentist) a general medicine or pediatrician office (you decide XD) and a recovery room. You can check other ideas for this at my flickr/ portfolio account- https://www.flickr.com/photos/79651650@N03/ - somewhere in the mix of all my ideas. WIth one set you can connect 3 modules vertically or horizontally making it a regular standard square building or you can buy several sets and expand as much as you want or your wallet allows it XD Thanks for reading all this through. I hope I can count on your support to take this project into the next level. Cheers!

    Classic vs. New Lego airplanes

Hello Everyone I would like to discuss a point that many adult Lego plane enthusiasts probably think about. What is better the old classic smaller planes of the past, or the new large and more realistic planes of today. I am going to try to give an unbiased opinion because I have had many smaller planes as a child. In my Opinion the older classic planes are better for airports in city layouts because they are smaller and allow for realistic size airports and runways. They are also great because they use few specialized parts. On the other hand the new larger planes are much more realistic and allow for more play inside with over 15 seats in most of them. They are also better for layouts purely dedicated to the airport. It allows for massive and impressive airports. They are also more fun for smaller children who think bigger is always better. This is only my opinion. Share yours below and provide an opinion. Thank you in advance.

    Stands for figures

So does anyone here have any good stands that they had made for their figures? I made a stand once for 2015 Lewa, and while it got him in the air it did not really get him in a dynamic pose. It felt very 2D, so does anyone have any good stands that they have made or have seen.

  9. I need a copy of 5002946 Silver Centurion to complete my Iron Man armor collection and can't find one anywhere. I've checked every GameStop in my area, and the aftermarket prices are sky-high. I'd rather trade with a fellow EB'er then dish out $50+ to some Ebay scalper. I'd also be open to potentially trading for 5002957 Admiral Yularen. Here's what I have: Retail Polybags: 30286 Christmas Tree 30275 TIE Advanced Prototype 30311 Swamp Police Helicopter 30212 Mirkwood Elf Guard 30472 Parrot 30274 AT-DP 30303 The Joker's Bumper Car 30276 First Order Special Forces TIE Fighter 30349 City Car 30130 Mini Black Pearl Exclusive Minifigure Polybags: 5002145 Rocket Raccoon 5002125 Electro 5001621 Han Solo (Hoth) 5002948 C-3PO 30603 Batman Classic TV Series - Mr. Freeze Sets: 5004077 Target 2015 Minifigure Cube (Includes City Diver, Chima Wolf, Ninjago Kai, and DC Lightning Lad) I also have a lot of lightly used CMF's, just ask. Mostly S3 and later. I'd prefer to stay in the US or Canada, but I'd be open to trading internationally only if that deal involves the Centurion. Please PM me if interested. I have completed successful trades with fred67 and Legocrazy81 (now Vindicare) who can hopefully vouch for my trustworthiness. EDIT: Freeze is gone and I no longer need the Centurion, thanks to a helpful Brickset member. If somebody still wants to swap for Yularen, I'm open.

  11. Are you having trouble accessing the Mecabricks website? I have important designs stored on there, and I hope all is not lost. I keep on having a "connection reset" error. Is anyone else having trouble getting to Mecabricks? I hope its just a routine site maintenence.

  13. Dose Anybody know when the next LDD update is out?
  14. Hi! I am very interested in your opinions on this? First time in my life i purchased some Lego which are sealed in their boxes, and from 1982. Would you open those? I'm keeping some polybags sealed with minifigs in them (like Martian Manhunter, Lego Universe astronaut... etc.), thinking about their value might increase, but this is a whole different ball game for me. I would like to open these. But i am not sure what to do/ what would be the "right" thing to do; i mean all that history, and the fact someone kept them closed for this long.
  15. Hello everyone, I present you another motorized and remotely controlled hot rod – Black coupe. My goal was to make mid-sized model with realistic suspension and working engine. Regarding size and functions it is somewhere in between my models “Fire bucket” and “Lucky 13”. Dimensions: 41 studs long, 19 studs wide, 13 – 14.5 studs high and weighs 804 g. PF components: 1 L motor - driving, 1 M motor - steering, 1 8878 battery, 1 IR receiver As you all know, with motorized creations, it is always a problem to place PF parts so they don't influence overall appearance of a model. In my previous hot rods, I used place under the false engine to put PF motors and as a result, false engine had to be higher than in a real car. That was a little bit frustrating but I didn't see any other option. So with this hot rod, I wanted to avoid that at any cost. Some compromise had to be made so I decided to use just one L motor for driving (accepting the fact that it won’t be very fast) and to put it under the driver’s seat. M motor for steering is placed next to it, under the passenger’s seat. As a result, smaller custom made V8 engine is placed lower on the chassis - right where it would be in a real model. Other functions: Working suspension - I wasn’t 100% satisfied with the suspension of my previous hot rods (they worked but weren’t realistic enough) so I really wanted to make improvement in that area. Development of the front solid axle and rear live axle, leaf spring suspension (with all the links and dumpers) was, at least for me, most important and most challenging part of this model (considering the scale). Front: solid axle, leaf spring Rear: Height-adjustable, live axle, leaf spring Working steering wheel – drag link steering Development of the small custom V8 with moving parts (working pistons, radiator fan and a generator) was the most satisfying part of this build Working door handles – openable suicide doors Trunk door can be opened – behind it is a mechanism for adjustment of rear height of the vehicle (manually controlled gear) and battery (easy to turn on/off and charging). Roof can be removed easily Retractable rear license plate – controlled with a fake handbrake lever inside the cabin I just love this function, I had it already on my Lucky 13, but for this build, I wanted it to be controlled from the cabin (driver's seat) for more realistic appearance. Features: Custom chrome parts – wheels, headlights, radiator grill, door handles and rear view mirrors Interior – red seats and dashboard I hope you'll like it, please comment and tell me what you think More photos: http://www.flickr.co...157666582891052

    Hey, I'm Owen.

Hi! I'm Owen. I'm a film student in my fifth semester, and I've been into Lego-collecting and building most of my life. I haven't been a part of a forum community in a bit, and I thought it would be good to have others perspective on creations and ideas I might have, as well as where to get certain components that may be difficult to find. I'm a big comic-book fan, and have currently been working on collecting a lot of the Lego Marvel stuff, and have been trying to make the figures and sets more comic-accurate using (mostly) only stock pieces, as well as creating my own stuff.

  18. Seats: 1x Batman (Adam West.) My aim was to pack as much detail as possible whilst still having clarity and simplicity into the model without having additional weight to the model e.g. height and length. Two aspects of the model wouldn't have made the outcome as accurate those are the '6141554 - Plate 2X2 27 Deg' and '6141556 - Right Plate 2X2 27Deg' for the front and rear of the model. Additionally the featured stickers are from '75909 - McLaren P1' which add the iconic front details. Ironically they are perfectly shaped for this Batmobile. 21. Hello again! These are my customs of the 9th and 10th Doctors. 9th: - Sculpted hairpiece - Electrical tape jacket - Custom decal for torso 10th: - Sculpted hairpiece - Custom decals for shoes - Screwdriver is Lego tubing, electrical tape and procreate clay, then painted. It actually flips in and out too! Comments & criticism is greatly appreciated.
  22. So . . . with nothing on the schedule for Saturday evening, I decided to hit up a few lego store for the inspirations. Pick-a-brick wall often make me aspire to build cool stuff. Anyhow, I'm picking the bricks and this Asian man approaches. Says: "You look like an expert, how does this work?" So I'm telling him about how you fill one of the two different sized buckets with parts and pay. And then he starts asking questions, like how do you know what you want, then finally realizes that I'm 37 and buying for myself, there's not a son or kid involved, etc. He's kinda blown away.. He's got a 5-7 year old with him in tow apparently his birthday is coming up, and he wants to take him to the Lego Discoverland or whatever it's called. I told him about buying junk, getting the polybag and the coupon and where the Discoverland thingy is in Toronto. He's 47 had lego as a child and is completely unfamiliar with the idea of never letting lego go, he starts asking what I do with the lego, organize, build, etc. My stuff, instruction stuff, etc And he tells me of the battle, his son gets the set, assembles the set, set collects dust (I fight this with myself lots). He wants his son to just free build, and some ideas how to get him to be more creative, etc. I give him some ideas and break out the cellphone and show some pics of my MOC's and lego in general, he has his son look. He starts asking what I do for a career now, etc. The biggest thing that lego has taught me is budgeting of resources, and how you only have so much lego, to make your dreams come true. Life is like this too. Then . . . this kinda shocked me. He turns to his son and says: "I want you to be like him" and points at me. When I checked out, I emptied my polybag into my shopping bag and gave them the remains with the coupon. It was . . . . cool. People are honest with their kids, I was kind of expecting more of a "it's neat how he still like lego but kinda creepy" reaction. I'm a confident speaker, and have good pressence, but didn't expect that to garner that kind of reaction. Shook the dudes' hand twice.

    [MOC] AT-RT

Hey Eurobricks! Here is my newest creation, the All Terrain Recon Transport. I was unsatisfied with all of Lego's versions, so I made my own. Enjoy! Gree would be proud! by Sir Nagol, on Flickr Here is an updated version that allows the rider to sit down. Someone suggested that I replace the blaster with an antenna, which I think is a great idea!
