  1. Nal Hutta was a hot, swampy planet located in the galaxy's Outer Rim Territories that was the homeworld of the Hutt species. The planet was a haven for the criminal elements of the galaxy. We can find here also Bounty Hunter Enclaves, such as this one here. My build to celebrate May 4th. This is my first Star Wars MOC, wanted to build something with my new Mandos. C&C welcome! Sorry for the background, I took them in my store.
  2. Hi all, please find enjoy my latest creation below. This is my interpretation of a Jawa 'Junk Shop' using pieces only available within set 75020 (Jabba's Sail Barge). This design is part of my Tatooine themed building series (labelled TATxx, where the xx increases with each build). This specific build is intended for any Tatooine themed layout, but is built with TAT02 in mind [not available at the time of publishing, but the WIP can be seen in photo below with the steps and figures]. This is one of two planned side builds towards TAT02, the other is a modified cantina bar seen in the same photo. This design is minfigure scale (to a Jawa) and is a random assortment of 'junk' and other bits - from food (infamous blue milk icecream?!), pots and pans and vehicle parts. You will probably find a Sandcrawler nearby delivering new items. As this uses parts only available from 75020, I've included a few 'spare parts' in the parts list (in reddish brown, replacing the six DBG equivalent pieces) for a more aesthetically pleasing model. Note that the photos and rendered photograph do use these spare parts in place of the DGB in the parts list. Note: The sail isn't modelled in the instructions or 3D Studio model so is not included in the photos, but is in the parts list. Please refer to the actual photos for the installation Studio believes there is a collision - in reality the pieces press against one another, but does not cause any physical issues (that I know of), other than part 90258 can detach from the base easily - which may be linked, (or I suspect it is the weight of the sail construction). Printed pieces seen in the TAT02 preview are Firestar Toys custom prints Instructions and Studio files are available here for anyone interested https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-32425/azzer86/jawa-junk-shop/#comments As a side note, this is my first time using Studio and I found it much easier than LDraw, so I plan to revamp my TAT01 file in the next few weeks. Enjoy and feedback/comments welcome!

From TLG regarding packaging: The decision has been made to change the packaging for future “LEGO® exclusive” Star Wars™ sets to include the UCS seal and de-link from the core Star Wars packaging. In addition to the packaging change an update has been made to the building instructions. The building instructions will have additional pages detailing the model’s connection to the movie and its development process. Much as the Creator Expert badge differentiates the larger models from the core assortment the goal of this change is to better communicate to builders that these sets represent our biggest building challenge in the LEGO® Star Wars™ theme.

    75220 Sandcrawler MOD WIP

I just couldn't resist to post a couple WIP pictures of my improved Sandcrawler. I purchased two of the new light bricks from B&P and incorporated them into the design. There are still some orders pending to arrive to finish the interior and some features but the lights look really nice. For the exterior I just performed the usual gap filling and increased detailing of surfaces. I will post more pictures once it's finished but feel free to ask if you want to see any specific area.
  5. Hello, I'm currently trying different thing with my instructions, so I made some small pictures videos. The last one is building instructions for the Treadwell droid from the Jawa sale. You can see it in my youtube channel here: BUILDING INSTRUCTIONS VIDEO And here's a photo of the real thing. Your feedbackS, comments etc.. are welcome as I want to improve my future videos. Enjoy.

  7. My (last minute) entry: Jawa Droid Shop Battlepack Recreate an action packed scene never seen in the Star Wars™ Saga! Create epic (and slightly dodgy) deals with this fantastic new battle pack. Help the Jawa repair droids with the blacksmith-style hammar with absolutely no functions, and lift up droids with the crane to be fixed. Or, why not customize your droids with other parts (included) to get that unique droid look? Don't forget to turn the vapouriser on or your little cloaked friend will collapse in the swealtering heat. Will the Tatooine resident™ get a cheap deal, or will the crafty Jawa™ sell him a duff piece of junk? Or maybe the Jawa™ will die of dehydration and the Tatooine resident™ will get a freebie? YOU DECIDE!!!!! Includes 2 minifigures and 2 droids: Jawa™, random Tatooine resident™, and two Astromech droids™. Play features: Repair droids! SWBPC by Lord Tyrus, on Flickr Lift droids! [SWBP] – Jawa Ambush

JAWA AMBUSH BATTLE PACK One minifig I always wished was available outside of expensive Sandcrawler sets are Jawas. Please find my SWBP entry images below - a Droid being ambushed in a Jawa Battle Pack playset. Features 3 Jawas (all slightly different in colour, cape style, hood) and an Astromech droid to be 'salvaged'. The cliff-face is hinged and can swing around. The desert incline can be moved to suit your display setup. The cliff face can swing 180 degrees to make a deeper cave to hide in if you are a Jawa... Or the droid can hide in the cave to try and avoid the gaze of those glowing yellow eyes. Where did R2-R7 go? "Utinni!" - a gentle push of the droid with your finger down the desert incline ends with the droid being shot with an ion-pulse and falling front-first onto the track (the lugs on the track enhance this play-feature), ready for the Jawas to take back to their Sandcrawler.

  10. Grahaym tracks podracers while practicing to gain information on their speed and equipment before the next race.
  11. I would like to introduce you a combination of microscale and rather big volume vehicle, that roams Tatooine deserts - the Jawa's Sandcrawler: It took slightly over 100 brick to build, of which most came to the superstructure of the vehicle to adapt the original look of a desert battered hull. Despite the scale, the vehicle has retractable front ramp: As you have probably noticed on previous photo, there has been a change in the undercarriage - the first version had simple liftarm-style tracks. Those were gradually changed to movable ones - first using rubber tires, than chainlink system. Both fore and aft carriages can be rotated in limited range. Recreation from the movie: "Wait, what's that? A transport. I'm saved. Over here!" ... and something less official, cut from the New Hope footage: ”-We are looking for the droids, found by you in the nearby sector. Surrender them immediately. - Mombay m'bwa dooka. Ya e'um pukay. Utinni, nekkel juuvar obwegadada!*” You know what happened next... * This is my junk. I won't sell. Beware, you (cenzored)! Enjoy the rest of the gallery on Flickr.
  12. Although I'm predominantly into historical/fantasy/mythological minifigures, I've always had a soft spot for Jawas, so I decided to add one to my small SW collection. I considered getting an official TLC one on the secondary market but they're fairly expensive. Instead, I MOCed one mostly from parts I already had plus a few third-party pieces. Some of the LEGO parts - specifically, the hood and short legs - are the same as those in TLC's Jawas, though none of the parts came from an official Jawa. What do you think of the minifig? I'm thinking of MOCing a small diorama with this guy and an official R2-D2 minifig.
