  1. Dear all I am new to Eurobricks but felt it would be a worthwhile experience to join up and share something with you. In essence, I am looking for some help and or advice. I have been a serious collector of LEGO for around 7 years and have manged to build up, in my most humble of opinions, a rather large collection. All of my items items are either Marvel, DC or Cuusoo/ Ideas with a very small amount of loose Star Wars minifigures, promotional LEGO giveaways etc. Every single set, polybag, book, DVD, comic etc has been purchased, bubble wrapped, boxed and stored safely. 99% of the collection is mint and sealed with a few exceptions which are near mint but still sealed. Not one item has been opened. It has been an obsession of mine for a while and the collection has been built up and cared for extremely well. However, space is now becoming a bit of an issue so I posed the question to myself, "What on earth am I going to do with all this LEGO?" In summary, I have 310 lots made up from sets, keyrings, books, dvds, polybags and specials. I have multiples of some sets. I have every single Cuusoo/ Ideas set every made, 116 DC Comics lots, 123 Marvel Comics lots and 35 Marvel/ DC keyrings. With Comic Con and USA exclusives aside, I have every single DC and Marvel set, polybag, magnet, book and keyring released since 2011. I honestly do not know what to do. Do I keep going knowing that Marvel and DC sets will continue to be released probably after I have gone, do I bite the bullet and sell them all or do I just stop buying and sit on them all for a few years? Any help or advice would be hugely appreciated. I have a detailed spreadsheet of the entire collection. If anyone would like to see it, please just ask. With thanks in advance
  2. If there a Cinematic Universe based upon a particular franchise you'd like to see adapted, or aren't pleased with the direction it is currently going? Is there a book, graphic novel, or series of novels you'd love to see come to the big screen? Is there a movie you think deserves a new remake or reimagining? Is there a cinematic adaptation of a certain source material you think would perhaps instead be better suited for the small screen, as a TV show or Mini-Series? If you have any better ideas on how Hollywood can handle adapting some of your favorite books, movies, graphic novels, videogames, and more, these are only a few questions to help express your opinions on what you would do instead!
  3. Hi all, Here is my LEGO version of Buzz Lightyear. About a year ago I noticed there weren't too many large-scale, detailed versions of the figure online. So I started putting bricks together, the old-fashioned way, no LDD etc. I started from the feet and legs up, wanting to use the 8x4x6 cone halves as shins. (Now that they're available in white, thanks to the Saturn V). The 8x4x6 cone halves really set the scale, since they provided the best shape for the legs out of every solution that I tried. Creating the round shape of the chest took quite a lot of work, but I'm pretty happy about the way it looks now. Things worked pretty smoothly, all the way up until the head. Boy, it's mighty tricky to create a nice-looking face out of bricks in that scale. So, after some attempts I gave into the grand compromise - to sacrifice the proportions and use the smaller-scale head and helmet from the set 7592. Perhaps the lack of Buzz Lightyear builds is largely due to the difficulty of creating a nice face to scale. I still haven't given up on the brick-built head. Maybe. What are your thoughts on my effort? You can see more and better pictures on my LEGO Ideas entry. If you think my Buzz has something good goin' on, I would also appreciate your support on the entry :) https://ideas.lego.com/projects/a514663e-9d97-4421-a89e-70278749244f

    Ideas Fishing Village

So, it appears that Ideas builder RobenAnne is determined to start his own Winter Village-esque series of buildings. Starting with the one everyone's seen, 21310 Old Fishing Store, it seems like three new buildings are going to be joining it; the makings of an early nineteenth century beachfront if I ever saw one. We have The Lighthouse, The Dive Shop, and Boat House Diner. Personally, I'm looking forwards to Boat House Diner the most; it will surely be able to take pride of place in my village's docks. What does everyone think? (Couldn't upload images, but they can be found at this link;) https://www.brothers-brick.com/2018/01/08/7-new-projects-qualify-lego-ideas-review-news/

  14. Dear Community, I'd like to introduce to you my Lego version(s) of the spaceship "Comet" (Cyberlab in France) of the 80s anime tv series "Captain Future" (Capitaine Flam in France, Capitan Futuro in Italy and (I guess) Spain). Captain Future was created by Edmond Hamilton in the 40s and became popular in Europe in the 80s when it was produced for television by a japan company. Captain Future is the hero of this series who fights enemies like the space emperor or Victor Corvo together with his crew, the shapeshifting android Otho, the robot Grag and the living brain Prof Simon Wright. He is one of the very few heroes who actually built his spaceship by himself. In summer I started building my own Version of the iconic spaceship Comet, which is 76cm Long and built from app. 2700 bricks. Captain Future's Comet (please vote on ideas.lego.com) by Prinz Toran, auf Flickr Captain Future's Comet (please vote on ideas.lego.com) by Prinz Toran, auf Flickr Captain Future's Comet (please vote on ideas.lego.com) by Prinz Toran, auf Flickr Captain Future and his Crew, the shapeshifting Android Otho, the Robot Grag and Joan Landor (designed by @MikeRyffranck, thanks mate) Captain Future und seine Crew by Prinz Toran, auf Flickr Prof Simon Wright - the living brain Professor Simon Wright by Prinz Toran, auf Flickr The Cosmoliner Cosmoliner by Prinz Toran, auf Flickr Actually building spheres was fun to do, so I also added two smaller versions to the collection. The Comet - Mini Version Comet Mini by Prinz Toran, auf Flickr The Comet - Nano Version Comet Nano by Prinz Toran, auf Flickr And I also drew the building instruction for those two. But that wasn't that much fun so I decided to leave this task for the big Comet up to the guys of Lego and I put that version on Lego Ideas. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/241d6069-b879-4d79-b50b-0257727498e3 If you like it, I would be very happy if you'd support my project (and maybe tell all your friends about it ;-) ) You can also take a look on my flickr, for Building instructions and more... 17. Crash Bandicoot has been a videogame icon for over two decades. The orange marsupial jumped, smashed, and spun his way onto the Playstation when I was a kid, and I have loved the character ever since. I remember spending hours playing through all three original games, as well as getting friends together to play Crash Bash and Crash Team Racing. Crash features 27 points of articulation, including a swiveling waist, adjustable ears, and tweakable eyebrows. While Crash is very flexible, he is also quite sturdy. This is thanks to a carefuly selected choice of joint elemenents ranging from socket click hinges to large and small ball joints. The part count for Crash rings up at exactly 800 elements! Thank you for taking the time to check out my model! If you would like to see more photos, I have them up on my Flickr page. If you would like to see this potentially become an official LEGO Set, please support my project on LEGO Ideas.

    Choosing a set

Hello. I'm new here so hopefully this is the right place for this topic. I've been wanting to get an advanced build type of set and have had my eye on the modular buildings for a few years now. I happen to have some spare cash so that I can finally get one. But of course deciding is proving rather difficult. Looking at just modular buildings it came down to three for me: Parisian Restaurant, Detective's Office, and Brick Bank. I'm leaning towards Parisian Restaurant, partially because it is the most aesthetically pleasing for me, but also because it has been out the longest, so will probably be retired soonest (am I right?). But the recent release of Old Fishing Store has me thinking about that set as it looks very nice too. Not to mention Destiny's Bounty. I know totally not in line with the others but still a very cool set. Thoughts?
  19. This topic's discussion has now shifted over to Lego Ideas' latest "gift-with-purchase" contest, as named in the topic's current title. Details for this contest are presented in this topic's fourth reply. The former title of this topic was The Brick Fan's Future Gift-With-Purchase Contest from Lego's CET. OK, this pretty cool. The Lego Community Engagement Team is asking readers of Allen Tran's The Brick Fan to offer up ideas for some future "gift-with-purchase" sets. Here is the article and quoted details below: Lego Looking for Ideas for Future Gift-With-Purchase Items
  20. Hello, everybody! We are Nikita and Polina from Moscow. We present our project at LEGO IDEAS! KIOSK NO 2 Britain's first red Telephone Box Although we live in Russia, we are big fans of England. We have all LEGO sets associated with the country, the Beatles' one as well. The only thing that we were always in need of was one of the prominent symbols of England – the Red Phone Booth. We do hope that you will enjoy our rendering of this amazing and legendary art-object and it will become a new set and a successful part of the history of Lego. Please support our project! Thank you all!

    The Glacier Falls Lodge!

This was one of my first large-scale MOCs, that came before the Orient Express Thriller or Winterfield Academy were even conceived! (back in 2014) I had watched the miniseries for "The Shining", and I've always been enamored with National Park lodges. So, the product was The Glacier Falls Lodge, the official lodge for Brickler Mountain National Park! A perfect getaway destination/luxury hotel catering to any minifig's vacation needs! This MOC went through at least six different iterations, before finally being pared down to a (very) downsized version fit for LEGO Ideas. At its prime, though, the Lodge contained an enormous lobby, full dining room and kitchen, and several guest rooms upstairs, with two bathrooms per floor (kind of in the style of Chico Hot Springs in Montana). The first iteration was built in 2014, during that summer we had a major fire that caused us to evacuate. This hotel was thrown in a box and taken with us in a car at night fleeing to Seattle. Later, when the fire season was over and we returned, the hotel sat on the desk for several months without being worked on. The Second Iteration had a change to the tower, it was more octagonal and separated from the roof. And I used the Town Hall Skylights for the Lobby. The Third Iteration sadly has no pictures, as my computer had crashed and we lost them. But it was pretty ugly. I had the idea to try and make octagonal towers on either side of the main doors, with the idea not turning out very well. That iteration was fragile, and fell apart easily. The Fourth Iteration was a HUGE model, with an upgraded, fancier porch and a sign out front! This was also when I made it into more of a Victorian style hotel, with a large wrap around porch, and the two towers on either side. These were half-octagonal towers, which made it a lot easier to stay together. (I had actually figured out how to build them, and gotten the pieces for it). The roof was a major challenge, but we made it work! This iteration also had an enormous, well thought out and beautifully built dining room, as well as a large kitchen with three to four walk in freezers! The Fifth Iteration was downsized in terms of length to make it fit through the door, lol! The basic hotel structure remained the same, however, with the exception of a large rearranging of the rooms inside. This was the first project that I submitted to LEGO Ideas, before having to downsize it again for it to be accepted. This was by far the best iteration of the six, and the only one we have interior pictures of. 5th Iteration furniture and Grand Fireplace 5th Iteration First Floor Porch Detail Lobby Facing the Dining Room Lobby picture 2 Piano Music Room Lobby Picture 3 The cool part was that the interior walls of the 5th Iteration were removable! 1st/2nd floors This was also the first iteration to have major interior decorating and fancy chandeliers! The 6th and Final Iteration of this MOC kept most of the basic structure, subtracting much of the width, in order to make the 3000 piece LEGO Ideas limit. This unfortunately was at the cost of sacrificing the entirety of the interior minus several pieces of furniture. This iteration currently, sadly does not exist anymore. It was torn down and the pieces used for Winterfield Academy (pictured below) However the 6th Iteration is still up on LEGO Ideas right now, and currently has 2036 Supporters! If you would like to give your support as well, I'll include the link here. We would really appreciate any support given! :) https://ideas.lego.com/projects/66655f37-9622-4836-a2cb-797e916f4e2b Anyways, that's the whole story on the MOC! This was by far (not counting my disastrous attempt at a county courthouse when I was 15) my first successful MOC that I thought looked relatively decent! Please tell me what you think, anything you like about it, etc., in your replies! I'll finish with a couple shots from last December and our promotional Winter Photoshoot! :) Thanks for reading! :)
  23. Hi folks, I am not only new here, but also currently trying to get my Ideas project to become the first ever DUPLO submission reaching 100 supporters. There have been thousands and thousands of projects submitted, but only a handful of DUPLO ideas. I actually like DUPLO bricks better than LEGO bricks... are there other people around, having the same "disorder" ? And of course I'd really like to know what you think about my project: DUPLO Mysteries of The White House: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/865fd7d2-ac55-4162-a098-80fa99d458cb If you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer them - I mean, obviously there are not too many adults around building MOCs with DUPLO bricks, so don't hesitate to ask.

    Lego Ideas Theme

Hi everyone! This is my first post, so please bare with me... I would love to make a model for Lego Ideas, but need a good theme; idea. Maybe have any ideas? I would like a theme; idea that the Lego community in general would like. Something that can earn a lot of support. Maybe some old theme that I can redo, or maybe even something totally new. It should also be something that wouldn't have a lot of copyright issues, etc. so that it wouldn't be to hard for the Lego Group to actually pass it through if it ever got 10,000 supporters. Thanks, I'm looking forward to hear your thoughts...

    Classic Space Mobile Laboratory

First of all, greetings! I'm new here, I'm polish fan of LEGO and other toys, mostly Transformers and other action figures. I'm slightly reckonisable among polish YT toys community thanks to my polish toy reviews on channel called "Benny's Plastic World". I'm also fan of SW, comic book heroes, giant robots, Discworld, cartoons and other nerdy stuff. As the Afol I'm mostly fan of the old castle and space themes, and also Bionicle and other construction figures. Today I would like to present you my space MOC, an homage for Classic Space series. Mobile Laboratory is a three part model, each you can play apart, or attach them together. There is vehicle on treads, laboratory itself and the platform with the little mech suit. The staff contains three classic space astronauts and a little robot. Vehicle has movable radar and the locker with tools. Laboratory has openable door and roof, movable chair for the minifig, some computers and the second locker. Mech suit is pretty posable with ball jointed legs and feet and bendy like arms. Also, each astronaut has his own cup for tea or coffie :) More photos on my tumblr blog with tag "classic space" - https://bennyplasticworld.tumblr.com/search/classic I submitted this MOC for LEGO Ideas. If you like it I would appreciate your support! - https://ideas.lego.com/projects/486f4782-27cf-4a30-a440-d16fbd08b828
