Here's a fun build I put together live on Twitch last night, Tigger from Winnie-the-Pooh! Built to celebrate the release of Christopher Robin this week! Hope you all like him!
  2. Hello everybody, a long time ago I was lucky enough to have my Millennium Falcon kindly blogged on these pages... Today I would like to present you my latest little model, a Mini Scale version of Sleeping Beauty Castle from Disneyland Paris. If you enjoy this build, you can find more pictures on my MOC-page. http://www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/433830 I am giving a shot on Lego(R) Ideas, so, if you like it, please support it: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/156528 Many thanks for watching, keep building, keep dreaming!
  3. Alright, where should I start? I've been leaving this place for quite a time, so I lost track with some of the old posts. But anyway, I think it might rather be simpler to put all things together in one thread. So I choose to slowly restart in this post from now on. Thanks to the help with a new local print provider, the newer redesigns has a better chance to improve (my decal skill is still awful ). As a new start, I begin with the original franchise with the minidoll lineup Friends, which just began a series of reboot design in this year. 7. Hi All, This build was a collaboration with my wife that we did for the Sydney Brick Show. The precinct includes All Star Arena, tennis courts, a playground, a church, park and shops. The arena features Disney on Ice with four swap out stage sets. I will be posting more pictures on flickr over the next week or two showing different areas of the build. If you are interested head over to my flickr stream at https://www.flickr.com/photos/brickknight/
  8. My first attempt at a Beaker Muppet MOC. I was inspired by the Henson Retrospectacle concert in New Zealand a few weeks ago, and by trying to use the new balloon piece as a Muppet nose. Now I know it works the next step is to make the head more cylindrical, shape the body and articulate the arms. Stay tuned...
  9. Hi-ho everyone, It's my very first time to share any of my projects on the forums. I enjoy building projects based on the many works of Jim Henson, like the Muppets. He was a really big creative influence on me growing up. In many ways, I think Jim's creativity is a really great fit for LEGO. They both tickle the imagination. I hope you'll check out my work. If you like any of my projects, please consider supporting me on LEGO Ideas. Thank you so much!

  12. Hi all, Here is my LEGO version of Buzz Lightyear. About a year ago I noticed there weren't too many large-scale, detailed versions of the figure online. So I started putting bricks together, the old-fashioned way, no LDD etc. I started from the feet and legs up, wanting to use the 8x4x6 cone halves as shins. (Now that they're available in white, thanks to the Saturn V). The 8x4x6 cone halves really set the scale, since they provided the best shape for the legs out of every solution that I tried. Creating the round shape of the chest took quite a lot of work, but I'm pretty happy about the way it looks now. Things worked pretty smoothly, all the way up until the head. Boy, it's mighty tricky to create a nice-looking face out of bricks in that scale. So, after some attempts I gave into the grand compromise - to sacrifice the proportions and use the smaller-scale head and helmet from the set 7592. Perhaps the lack of Buzz Lightyear builds is largely due to the difficulty of creating a nice face to scale. I still haven't given up on the brick-built head. Maybe. What are your thoughts on my effort? You can see more and better pictures on my LEGO Ideas entry. If you think my Buzz has something good goin' on, I would also appreciate your support on the entry :) https://ideas.lego.com/projects/a514663e-9d97-4421-a89e-70278749244f
  13. Piloted by RX-24, the Starspeeder 3000 offered direct service to the forest moon of Endor for 23 years from its original spaceport location in Disneyland. While the RX-series of droids were known for unstable personalities, the Endor-bound shuttles did *occasionally* reach their proper destination. Star Tours operated as one of the galaxy's premier travel agencies. See more images on Flickr ----- An addition to my growing collection of Disneyland ride vehicles, the Starspeeder 3000 was an obvious next model to tackle. Star Tours opened in January 1987, allowing visitors to fly into the Star Wars universe themselves for the first time. The ship's pilot Rex - voiced by Paul Reubens - ends up missing Endor and instead diving into the trench run to destroy the Death Star. The original Star Tours closed in 2010, transforming into a new version of the ride "Star Tours: The Adventures Continue." This Starspeeder model - in the original Star Tours livery - features working doors.
  14. Hi there everyone! This is my first real MOC post that I've put a lot of work into so please be kind I decided to create what a potential second line up could look like for another Disney CMF Series. I have a rational for every character I chose and if you've got any questions feel free to ask me below or PM me. All of the figures and pictures can be on my flickr linked below, and if you want to swing by there and leave a favourite or follow me to see my further updates it'd be much appreciated A few things to note. First off the figures are all hand drawn and I am working towards creating a better way to merge the hand drawing and digital aspects of the figures. If you recall the packaging for the first CMF was Blue and the colour I have chosen here is Yellow this is of course to reflect how the first non-licensed CMF was Yellow and the second Blue (Bit of Irony I guess). I have also included characters I felt were left out or needed to complete the figures that came in the 1st wave. For example the inclusion of Woody, Lilo, and Goofy. I have also tried to keep about the same amount of villains as there were in the original and plan to do so in future ones as well (If you guys like them of course ). Oh one last thing to note I think is that this is almost identical to the wishlist I created over a year ago so if there is someone you'd like to see me do I'll try to squeeze them into a future line (Only if they fit my criteria though). Also forgot to say that @Robert8 and his creations was a huge inspiration to do this, so thanks! So with out further ado.... 15. Hi, I would like to show you my moc of the WDW Cinderella Castle. Original LEGO one is too big to store in my house and I stumbled upon this wonderful creation [MOC] Cinderella Castle from which I got more than an inspiration, but this was still too much for me in difficulty, price and dimensions. So I compressed everything in a 12x12 baseplate but i think I still managed to capture the magic of the castle. I hope to add some better photos as soon as possible, my idea is to put it inside an IKEA HÄRLIGA glass case like this other creation , i created it to fit inside (but still couldn't manage to buy one to check if the side tower fits ). MOC - Snow White Cottage

My LEGO version of the Snow White and the 7 dwarfs cottage (based on Thomas Kinkade depiction). I watched the movie when I was a kid and I vividly remember how I wanted to live in a cottage in the woods after seeing this one! Although I rushed the build a bit, it was fun to build because I haven't build something "castle" for a long time and I wanted to try some new stuff like the roof or the newer shades of greens or play around with the vegetation using odd pieces and parts. Still some things didn't came out as I planned but I wanted to finish this to make room for other projects. Thanks to Markus for coming everyday to my desk and give me some hints and motivation! :D Hope you guys like it! Just like a doll's house

    Thunderquack

As a kid I was a big fan of Darkwing Duck, and his fabulous jet plane Thunderquack was subject to many MOCs. Now, having access to a larger selection of pieces in dark pink and dark purple and with more developed building skills, I decided to make a new attempt. Let's get dangerous! LEGO Toy Story 4 sets for 2018!!!

In the sets we might have all of our beloved main characters, like Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Rex, Bullseye, Slinky Dog, Hamm, the Aliens, Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head, and so on. When the trailer releases, I'll have more thoughts on sets. More characters: Mr. Pricklepants, Trixie, Buttercup, and a bunch of others.
  21. "The Crash at Crater Canyon (part 1)" is a thrilling two-part episode of the 1950s / 60s TV series Woody's Roundup. In this episode, Jessie the yodeling cow-girl is knocked out by Prospector Stinky Pete, as she had discovered Pete's plans for Sheriff Woody and the town he protects via the mine tunnels under the town filled with dynamite and nitroglycerin, set to blow up high noon the next day to destroy the town in a giant sinkhole. Jessie is then placed unconscious on a steam loco which is uncoupled from it's train and sent hurtling uncontrollably through the wilderness to Crater Canyon, where it will meet the Cannonball passenger train on the bridge. (Thus destroying the only fast way to town and keeping Jessie out of the way for the town to explode with Woody saving Jessie and not in town to stop Pete's plan.) Naturally, Woody rides out on his horse (Bullseye) to save Jessie, who has at this point woken up and discovered the throttle lever missing and steam loco's brakes disconnected. This episode ends with this scene above: Jessie reaching for Bullseye and Woody while both trains are barreling towards each other and certain destruction, while the timer on the clock in town square ticks ever closer to noon. What happens in the next episode will never be known, as the show was pulled from the airways as the film office where the future episodes and unfinished scripts were kept burned to the ground, destroying all the un-aired episodes. It is assumed, though, that Woody rescues Jessie, stops the town from exploding, and jails Pete all before the credits roll. The real scene takes place on my Eads bridge with engines 2 and 3, plus the passenger train for the latter loco. The yellow steamer is not even finished: the side not shown is missing one wheel and moving piston and was carefully staged to hide this fact! The story behind the picture is 100% fake, as the Woody's Roundup only exists in Disney / Pixar "Toy Story" films. (specifically the second one) I tried using every to make the story sound believable for that era of TV it was set in, such at the middle 1950's to early 60s when Howdy Doody and Westerns in general were very popular. What do you guys think?

[ MOC ] Modular Disney Store

The first shop along the main street of V City is a small one with a big name. The new Disney Store offers different products of its several franchises, including PIXAR and Star Wars. The client (of course I am making this up) wants a small modern building, but contains some essence of its brand. Undoubtedly the castle becomes the starting point for my design brainstorming session. My initial idea is a little box with a castle, and I began to break down the important elements from the castle to form the design language. I converted the moat into the planters by the sides of the entrance, and created a frame to signify a portal to the magical worlds. That can be seen from some castles where you will have a big portal at the bridge across the moat. The facade profile of the building comes from the two side towers above, and I only extracted the cut-corner shape. This slightly chamfered entrance also helps the portal stand out better. The building interior is simple, and is divided into several themes. First it is the Star Wars zone, where guests can find a lot of Star Wars toy and apparels. You can also design your own lightsaber at the “Build Your Own Lightsaber” shelf, and I made reference from the existing shops in Disneyland. Another side is the traditional Disney products, from traditional Disney stories. You can find girl items and dolls (you may ask about teddy bear, and yes Disney has one called Duffy and Shelliemay!), and also some cups and bottles. The deco is simple with wood planks, with the famous clock of Cinderella. Up the stairs will be 1/F, where you are greeted by the Toy Story shelf and the Lightyear figure. You can try the 3-eye Alien headpiece! Turning around is the much anticipated Frozen shelf, with all the icy items you can purchase! See that girl who is in love with the Snowgie cushions? You can also meet Elsa, Anna and Olaf and take pictures with them! Then you will see the little food corner, facing the staircase to the roof top. I spent quite some time to work out the fixtures, and I am happy that they look very much like the real thing inside Disneyland. The roof is a little green playground for kids, and you can meet the two iconic characters of Disney, Mickey and Minnie! Kids are queuing up to take great pictures with them, and later you will see even more other characters around the year. While I can design a simple hinged door on the rooftop, I created this version so that the panel can be folded up once more to avoid visual intrusion (if it is one big panel, it will stand up and be seen behind the tower on the front elevation! Not good!) Of course, I need a photo with my wife, Mickey and Minnie! Let's have a group photo, all the Disney characters with the shop! (okay, Buzz forgot to come out as he is still inside on the 1/F!) Hope you all enjoy it!
