  1. Bought it last year and finally opened it today and made this video review: THE GOOD: Awesome Mixed Tape!!!!! Nice mirco scale builds of the original model! THE NOT SO GOOD: More detailed prints for Nebula? Overall, must buy if you are a Guardians of the Galaxy fans! Don't have any negatives about this set, the printing for Nebula is really like NICE TO HAVE.

    [MOC] Second Ravager Ship

My Ravager Attack set included the stickers twice. It made me wonder if I could build a second Ravager ship. I didn't try to alter the scale or anything. It is merely an attempt to reproduce the lego version without the needed pieces. The design has two big flaws, the green cockpit and the black/red/dark gray circles on the wings. Despite having the extra stickers I haven't applied them. This is because I don't like stickers and the piece for the ravager symbol has a hole which is not ideal to apply a sticker to. Lego and my version together:

    [MOD] 2017 Milano Set

Here is my MOD for the LEGO 2017 Milano! It's pretty shabby but I did it quickly. Crucial though: You need 2x of this piece: 1x1 round with bar First, comparison photo of the old and new. (I added eyes). Since Nebula can go to the back, the main cockpit now sits four Guardians (can't add Baby Groot :( ) Now we go to the back of the Milano (I added an engine MOD as well) Remove the roof piece And put Nebula inside! If anyone is interested, please PM me your email and I will send you the LDD. Thanks for looking! VaderFan2187
  4. Hi everyone. I wanted to make a new topic so we could talk about lego games we expect. What I expect is as follows: Lego Batman 4 / The Lego Batman Movie Game Lego Guardians of The Galaxy Lego Justice League
  5. Hello, this is a quick little MOC I made about how I see the Guardians of the Galaxy and the Avengers meeting for the first time. Lets just say it isn't very welcoming. Thanks for looking at my MOC. Tell me what you think! ~Davids19
  6. This was supposed to be my new Lego Ideas project, but Lego in its wisdom has added a rule back in April stating that it will no longer accept any submissions that fall under the licenses in the TLG's current portfolio. So nothing from the Guardians of the Galaxy is allowed because Lego is already making GotG sets. It's a great move, making the Lego Ideas all the more useful, because you can now forget any SW, Disney, Marvel or DC projects, and probably many vehicular projects too. Thank you Lego! Anyway, the least I could do in this situation was to make free building instructions for this figurine, which are available here: http://sariel.pl/downloads/ The figurine itself could surely be more polished in terms of looks and operation (I suspect the movements would be smoother if it was driven using a chain instead of a rubber band), but as you can imagine I was severely disheartened after learning that I can stick my idea where the sun doesn't shine, and I just wanted this creation to be done.
  7. I can't be the only one hyped for this movie, right? Here are all the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 trailers: It looks like it's going to be a movie that's frickin' awesome! (only he didn't use frickin…) Here is a thread where we can discuss the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 film!
  8. I am selling a 100% complete NYCC/SDCC/NYTF collection that I am willing to split up and sell the pieces individually.Condition:All items are mint unless otherwise noted. These are probably the best condition you'll be able to find anywhere as I pride myself on only offering the best. Shipping (US+WW):Shipping within the continental US is free + extra cost if you want insurance. Shipping outside of the continental US will be charged at cost only. You will be invoiced after the item has been shipped so that you're only charged exact cost.Pictures:More can be provided upon request, just ask!Pricing:Some items were listed on eBay by other sellers, in which case the price I listed below is cheaper than theirs. Some items are not listed on eBay or Bricklink, therefore I had to estimate my own prices mostly based off of previous sales. A LOT MORE TO COME! I'm clearing out almost an entire 100% complete Super Hero/Marvel/Batman collection. There are minifigures, polybags, and sets (NIB) galore. The minifigures are either loose or come in gorgeous plastic cases with a comic backdrop. I haven't had a chance to go through and inventory everything yet, so stay tuned. I've posted a few pictures of the polybag/minifigure offerings to come in the next few weeks at the end of this post.Items: #sh028 + #sh027 NYTF Iron Man and Captain America Mint PM for Info #41491-1 SDCC 2016 Brick Heads 41491 Batman and Joker no 0984 Mint 155 #41492-1 SDCC 2016 Brick Heads 41492 Iron Man and Captain America no 0894 Mint 190 #41493-1 SDCC 2016 Brick Heads 41493 Black Panther and Dr. Strange no 1363 Mint 145 #41490-1 SDCC 2016 Brick Heads 41490 Superman and Wonder Woman no 0590 Mint 165 #comcon050-1 SDCC 2016 ATOM Mint 195 #comcon029-1 SDCC 2016 Steve Rogers Mint 245 #comcon048-1 SDCC 2015 Throne of Ultron no 0380 Mint 140 #comcon047-1 SCDD 2015 Action Comics #1 Superman no 0981 Mint 330 #comcon045-1 SDCC 2015 Arsenal Mint 200 #comcon046-1 SDCC 2015 Sam Wilson Captain America Mint 220 #comcon034-1 SDCC 2014 Rocket Raccoon's Warbird no 0413 Mint 220 #comcon035-1 SDCC 2014 The Collector AFA 8.5 Stan Lee 800 #comcon037-1 SDCC 2014 Batman Classic TV Series Batmobile no 0127 Mint 400 #comcon036-1 SDCC 2014 Batman Zur-En-Arrh Mint 490 #comcon028-1 SDCC 2013 Spiderman Mint 2800 #comcon027-1 SDCC 2013 Spider Woman Mint 2000 #comcon030-1 SDCC 2013 Green Arrow Mint 1600 #comcon029-1 SDCC 2013 Black Superman Mint 1450 #comcon013-1 SDCC 2011 Green Lantern NM 300 #comcon014-1 SDCC 2011 Batman NM 750 #comcon020-1 SDCC 2012 Shazaam NM 400 #comcon022-1 SDCC 2012 Bizzaro NM 400 #comcon021-1 SDCC 2012 Phoenix NM 400 #comcon023-1 SDCC 2012 Black Spiderman NM 350 #comcon018-1 NYCC 2011 Batman AFA 9.0 850 #comcon017-1 NYCC 2011 Superman AFA 9.0 1200 #comcon052-1 NYCC 2016 Batgirl Mint $30 #comcon038-1 SDCC Bard the Bowman NM $65 #comcon040-1 SDCC Unikitty NM $110 #comcon049-1 SDCC Bionicle Skull Scorpio Mask NM $35 Thanks for reading.Again, please stay tuned for a nearly complete collection of NIB Super Hero/Marvel/Batman sets, other sets, and more rare items. Thanks,Samuel

    Rocket Racoon's warbird

Here is my Rocket's Warbird, one of the Ravager ships from Guardians of the Galaxy Rocket's Warbird 3 by The Solitary Dark, on Flickr Rocket's Warbird 5 by The Solitary Dark, on Flickr My son is a huge Rocket fan, so as soon as the movie was over he asked me to build the Warbird. I could not think of a better way to build the beak, so used Marcos Bessa's design from the Milano.

    [MOD] 2014 Milano Set

One thing that always bugged me about the 2014 Milano set is how, even though it was far larger than the 2017 one, both had the same seating capacity (4). So I decided to MOD it to see how many people it could fit! First, here is the cockpit: Please ignore the pink lines, I didn't notice it when I took the screenshot Apart from the interior, nothing else on the Milano was changed. Lift off the roof and this is the interior: It seats 10 passengers! 5 people in the front… …and 5 people at the back: It's a simple MOD really, and I have seen MODs to this set that are much better, but if you want the LDD file you can PM me your email and I will send it to you. (If you already have PMed me your email, just send me another PM asking for the LDD file) Thanks for looking! VaderFan2187

  12. This is the real Warbird, which I took me quite some effort. I spent quite some time researching on the net, and found quite some photos of the spaceship Rocket rode on, but most of them were concept art, not the final version. I also bought the book "GOTG: Art of the Movie", and it did have some useful images and sketches, but still the older version, which has two pairs of wings. I finally looked at the movie and got some shots of the final Warbird... And here it is, the final Warbird, which is part of the Ravager fleet. The wings are the hardest part since I really want to get the profile as close as the real thing possible. I am glad that it turns out great in the end. The back is also beautiful, with the twin engine jets. I also control its size by comparing its size to the Milano, taking the same ratio of the planes from the book and applying them to the Lego version. And you can also see I used some of the sticks from the Raccoon polybag. Perhaps to make it even closer to the real thing, the windshield will need some more special stickers, but I won't do that now, haha! Hope you all like it! :D
  13. After buying out both Marvel and Lucasfilm, Disney knew it was a no-brainer to do a crossover joining the two franchises. The results, however, were disastrous; after landing on Naboo, the Guardians of the Galaxy realized with unease that it looked almost exactly like their home planet Xandar. Deciding that the planets could not coexist in the same universe, the Guardians set out to wipe Naboo from the continuum. Having already obliterated the Gungans (yay Guardians!), the team made their way toward Theed, where they would fight the Naboo Starfleet in a final confrontation to determine the fate of the planet. The Milano Spaceship A battle-damaged Naboo Starfighter Star-Lord thinking about velociraptors for some reason The last remnants of Naboo's ground support Gamora getting to know the locals Theed from a distance Rocket and Groot decide to sit this mission out

[SWvsM] - Cat B - We are Groot

Knowing that even the Nova Corps and Yondu's ships would not be enough to combat Ronan's might, the Guardians enlisted the aid of the Rebel fleet to launch their attack on the Dark Aster. Just as Ronan was about to destroy Star-Lord in his own throne room, Wedge Antilles bravely crashed his starfighter through the ship and knocked him back into his throne. With the Dark Aster set on a collision course with the surface of Xandar, Groot sacrificed himself by forming a protective ball around the two pilots, which would have been a lot more emotional had he not grown back to life ten minutes later. Edit: Well, this is embarassing...I posted my entry without giving it a title. Just pretend it reads [sWvsM] - Cat B - We are Groot.
  15. Star Captain Star Captain likes to think of himself as the group's leader, but for the past few years he's become a recluse, sitting out missions in his hoverchair while the rest of the crew goes on adventures without him. He's thinking about retiring from the pirate life and becoming a construction worker, or maybe a raptor trainer. Lady Gamma Lady Gamma is the crew's chief weapons designer and war correspondent. Her habit of building guns that promptly blow up in their users' faces has labelled her as the 'Deadliest Woman in the Galaxy'. Roger the Cabin Boy Roger the Raccoon-Boy was found digging around in the galley's garbage chute. Instead of throwing him out or putting him in the dinner pot, the crew decided to adopt him as their cabin boy. While there's no doubt that he can cook a mean stew, the others wish that he would start wearing pants. GORT GORT used to be king of an entire race of tree-squids, but turned pirate once they realized he was selling them out to a paper company and ran him off the planet. The crew now uses him to store all the treasure they steal acquire. The only words he ever says are 'garble garble'; the others think he's just being weird, but the truth it that he can't speak because his mouth is full of treasure. Destructor He used to be called Steve the Sunny Space Skull, but after his planet was destroyed by the Dread Pirate Ronan, a venomous rage was unleashed inside him and he became known as Destructor. Wielding twin daggers, Destructor will obliterate everything and everyone in his path. He's a lot of fun at parties. Saurokan The Dread Pirate Ronan was infamous for extracting the life essence from innocent seamen and placing them inside robotic bodies, effectively building an army of slaves. The only remnant of their former lives as honest sailors is their penchant for wearing colorful bandannas.
  16. After a post by a fellow member, I learned that 76021 was already in shelves at the Houston LEGO Store. What followed can be best described as "sheer joy." I had been looking forward to this set since initial descriptions surfaced. A Marvel set that's larger than 400 pieces? A set based on Guardians of the Galaxy, one of the comics on my pull list? I was sold. But did the Milano Spaceship Rescue turn out as well as I'd hoped? Is it truly "all that and a bag of chips?" Read on to find out... Name: The Milano Spaceship Rescue Theme: LEGO Marvel Superheroes Year: 2014 Pieces: 665 Minifigs: 5 Minifigures Price: USD $74.99 Minifigures: There are 5 minifigures included, 4 of which are exclusive. The Sakaaran appears in all three sets based on the film. I'll start with Star-Lord, the rebellious prince of Spartax. Star-Lord wears a maroon jumpsuit for space flight. His facial expressions are snarky and angry, similar to most of the other LEGO Marvel Superheroes. His hair is pretty common to find these days, nothing to get excited about. I am excited, however, by his new dual blasters. They're very accurate to the comics and to what we've seen of the film so far. He also comes with a helmet complete with hair! It doesn't look as bad as you might expect. He doesn't tower over minifigures, but it's fairly noticeable. And he has this gun... thing? I'm sure all will be explained in the film. Next up is Gamora, the most dangerous assassin in the galaxy and the daughter of Thanos, the Mad Titan. Her jumpsuit is basically the female counterpart to Star-Lord's, which makes them seem more like a team. Her hair is unique, and useful to MOCers wanting to create a punk rock/pop star. Drax the Destroyer, a being created with the sole purpose of killing Thanos, completes the Guardians included here. He is controversially grey, falling victim to what I'll call "concept art" syndrome, much like sleeveless widow's peak Mandarin. Drax is adorned with tattoos across his torso and on his arms. If you look closely, you can see little LEGO skulls. Neat-o! Ronan the Accuser, the Supreme Accuser of the Kree Empire, takes the role as lead villain, though he is much more (morally) grey in the comics. Only time will tell if the film will follow that characterization. He has a nice headdress that doesn't fold his cape up too much. He also wields the Universal Weapon and carries what I presume to be one of the infinity gems, or stones as they are called in the MCU. The Sakaaran appears to be a member of the Shadow People, the creators of the Old Power. He looks A-OK! Pretty menacing, but forgettable on the whole. His weapon is generic enough to be used for space themed MOCs. The Necrocraft Cockpit Open The Sakaaran sits at the controls... The engine Beauty shot! The Sakaaran ship, or Necrofighter in proper terms, is a nice inclusion. Menacing, swooshable, and equipped with two new spring missiles. The controls are simple, but at least they're there (I'm looking at you, Extremis helicopter...). The Milano Well equipped for any battle... I was surprised that the designer didn't include any of the new spring missiles. There's plenty of room underneath (as you'll see later on). They're super functional and I'm mildly disappointed that we didn't get any to add to the fire power of the Guardians. Thrusters The underside Just a quick note, it's nice that the big holes on the underside are covered by large thrusters. It's not perfect but it gets the job done. Rear view The interior Gamora's controls are a printed tile, previously seen in some of the Star Wars sets... Aurebesh lettering? Mark your calendars, everyone: Disney is planning a crossover. Might the Millennium Falcon meet the Milano? Seating (and a fire extinguisher) ...and some more seating! Are you "Hooked on a Feeling?" Get ready for lift off! Comparison with 6869 Quinjet Aerial Attack Conclusions... So that's the Milano! Overall this was a joy. The interior is great: spacious, plenty of seating, a very detailed cockpit, lot's of free clips. What's not to love? The window in the back is a nice surprise and gives it some atmosphere. Another nice surprise is the stereo! I imagine that'll be a bigger plot point in the film than we previously thought. Can somebody say: "That's momma Star-Lord's mixtape?" Back on track: The build was nicely paced, I was never bored. The ship is heavy and full of features so you feel like you're getting your money's worth. Both fighters are very swooshable. There are a smattering of new elements for the MOCers and the figures will leave all of the Marvel fans and kids happy. If I had some criticisms, they're that the wings take a little time to adjust because the ball joints are very close together so it was difficult to position them correctly. Also the lack of Groot as a potted plant is disappointing given how easy it would have been to include. Perhaps he doesn't have that ability in the film, only time will tell. But in the end... Playability: 10/10 (No spring missiles for the Milano, but the interior, swooshability, and Sakaaran Necrofighter more than make up for it) Design: 10/10 (I see no problems here. As I said before, the build is excellently paced and the Milano is very sturdy) Price: 9/10 (665 pieces is average for $74. It's forgivable though because the Milano is pretty heavy so you feel like you get your money's worth and there is so much playability) Overall: 10/10 (Don't delay come June 1!) Bonus As a little celebration of the LEGO Marvel Universe entering the cosmic realm, I took a group photo of all of the characters we have thus far...

    MOC Rocket Racoon Warbird

Hi, this is my first MOC. Picked up the Rocket Racoon polybag over the weekend and was going to build a Warbird using the SDCC set instructions. However, that set looks nothing like the actual ship so wanted to build one closer to the actual artwork I've seen online of the ship.
  18. Hey everyone. I've recently got into customizing minifigs and I have decided to make my own Custom Minifigs : Guardians of The Galaxy based on the latest GoG comics. This Project will include Starlord, Gamora, Rocket, Groot, Drax and Iron Man Space Armor Mk III. ---Custom Minifig 1: Groot--- I've chosen to kickstart the project by building Groot since I felt it was the easiest to customize since he looks like a humanoid tree which does not require any specific symmetrical design. (Note : This custom Groot is more based on the movie version which I think looks better than the comic version) For Groot I've used a Woody minifig from the Toy Story series as the base. The height of the minifig is just perfect to represent Groot being taller than the rest of the Guardians. I then used Tamiya's Epoxy Putty on the minifig to sculpt the head, chest, back, legs and arms. I also used a random extra head I found in my storage while the hands are made from Wolverine's claws. The eyes are actually Gundam Customization parts which I bought from a local hobby store. It took me awhile to get the actual look that I wanted for Groot as not only this was my first time customizing a minifig but also my first time using any type of epoxy putty. Nonetheless,it turned out ok so far. Below are pictures of my Custom Groot Minifig (still in progress). My friend Benny Lee is helping me out with most of the paintjob for this whole project, so I will update on the finish custom minifig soon. For more pictures click here. Status : 100% Complete ---Custom Minifig 2: Iron Man Space Armor Mark III a.k.a Deep Space Armor--- Status : In Progress ---Custom Minifig 3:--- ---Custom Minifig 4:--- ---Custom Minifig 5:--- ---Custom Minifig 6:--- (Note : more updates on my next custom minifigs soon) Hope you guys like this project, thanks for checking out this topic and lemme know what you think. Cheers!

  21. Hi. I live in a part of Canada where the nearest Lego store is hours away. I usually buy Lego from Toys R Us or Walmart. I have been anticipating the release of the GoG sets for a couple of months, just like everybody else, but I'm having a hard time getting concrete info about when I can expect to see them in stores. Some stuff here comes later. I checked out a Lego Store recently in London and they had a lot of stuff that I've never seen in Canada, mostly Lego Movie sets and new Mixels (series 2?). I am guessing we may get things here a little behind everywhere else. Can anyone shed some insight into this?
