[MOC] - Tatooine with UCS Slave I

Hi, as you can see on my nick i´m fullfilling whishes from the past :) I was a big fan and stopped with Lego in the age of 14 like most others here i guess. Then in december of 2015 i bought the new UCS Tie fighter. I saw so much new parts and variations of older ones, couldn´t trust my eyes. 4 days after the Tie i bought the Slave I and build it extra slow over 3 days. It was my first get in touch with real SNOT building. Where to start? somewhere on a big baseplate that needed most of my old parts. Unfortunately i didn´t make that much pictures of building progress. You sure have seen this design before, for the Millenium Falcon but as we know Slave I has also been on Tatoine there is no problem right? :) some € and many hours later, testing different ways to make rectangle bricks round - and also reading a good manual about SNOT i´m finally done. It´s looks too nacked and too clean atm but i´m willing to add much more details to this moc, which was just designed as a "stand" for the UCS. today i added the moisture vaporator, i´m looking for some other minifigures too and want to redesign the small house which looks soooo boring. Opinions welcome

  5. Hello! This project took me around 1 month to finish. One month for 50'ish seconds movie. That includes 5 days of actual shooting. Thinking, planning, writing, editing, montage and of course building took the rest of that time. Warning! I suggest to watch movie before continue reading because text contains spoilers. Ah, and it might be worth to watch 2 times, because action is pretty fast and can be hard to notice all the flavors. 9493 Heavy MODS-W.I.P

Hello everyone!!. So i´ve been an X-Wing fanatic since i was 5. And when i got my 9493 about 3 years ago i was pretty happy, but since i bought it something felt wrong. I started doing Mods when we first saw 75102,one mod lead to another and well here it is thus far. I did Luke´s X-Wing since his color scheme it´s my favorite, also some mods are not my ideas i took a lot of inspiration from marchetti36´s X-Wing so credit to him.I won´t use this background since i don´t like it,i´ll take proper photos when it´s finished. So most of what i´ve done are color changes(some of the pieces here are temporary, and will be changed) and some other one´s for example it has the structural changes to use 75102 Windshield. This color scheme is based after several models that seem accurate to the Movie-Prop.Unfortunally i wasn´t abble to brick-built the gray line next to the Tan marks,if i found a way to use bricks there i´ll use that but for now it´s painted :/ The cocpit has been modified to look a bit more accurate,it has more controls & a control stick, also has storage for the lightsaber hilt. The back was one of the ugliest parts IMO so i cover the Technic holes(in a pretty cheap way) and made the back of the main body accurate,The mechanism is fully functional. The R2 unit now sits horizontally !! Also re-did the greeble( i didn´t knew you could fit a stud beetween two hinge bricks). That´s the reference photo i used for the greeble. Here´s a Break-down of how i did the greeble for those of you that want to built it. And i added an UCS style stand. Hope you like the MOD´s so far,i´ll be updating this topic everytime i do some progress so stay tuned. If you have any suggestion i´ll be happy to hear it. Regards. -Prime.
  7. You can tell by the "lower" Lego Ideas project # that I've been thinking about this for some time: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/63523 -- Anyway, people keep asking for instructions. I realize it's a longshot, but the "easiest" way for instructions to happen would be for it to be a real set, so here goes nothing... Note that this stands about zero chance as a "normal" set (obviously). We'd somehow have to convince Lego that there's enough interested people that there could at least be a limited run of 500 or 1000 "Special Limited Collector's Edition" sets made - which means that the price would have to necessarily inflated even more! So think well above 10 cents a brick. Clearly there's a market for collectors to pay thousands of $ for a model they like. The UCS Falcon is reselling for $3500 - I've seen one sold even! Aiii! Other non-Lego movie collectables and art sell for thousands as well. So: There's a market, but it's not the normal Lego market. Clearly most retailers are unlikely to be able to stock and sell a set this large, so it would have to be a special collector's market. Speciality shops can probably sell them, but that all adds to the overhead. Additional, a "small" run means that the per-unit production costs go up. So instead of expecting this model to sell for $2000 or so, we need to show Lego that people are willing to pay twice that. I'll make suggestions as an update, but the comments of the supporters will need to help demonstrate that there does exist such a specialty market. Even so, Lego is going to be hard pressed to do this. That specialty market may exist, but it's not Lego's forte. They may need to contract with others as they do for some of their smaller special runs and non-Lego merchandise. Even so, this isn't as big of a return as tens of thousands of a cheaper set, so they might not feel it's worth their time.

    Heavily Modified X-Wing

Here is our heavily modified (less than 25 original pieces) set 9493 'Friendly Wing' that we entered into Brickfair Alabama this weekend. This is the latest Firendsified Star Wars ship that we had built and was perfect as the Lego group were holding a contest for the best 'friendlyfied' official lego set, which we won. These vehicles are always well received with visitors and especially my daughter. The wings function perfectly and the minifig fits in and out of the cockpit also. thanks for looking! TT-1 MECH

This is my attempt on Mech machine inspired by all the game and sci-fi action movies. It is the assasin walker - TT-1. Piloted by no other than the famous Boba Fett Prototype. The challege of this mech is to make the foundation strong enough to support the heavy, rotatable torso. The armors can be adjusted for firing enemies from all directions. When it is in its turbo mode, the back panel plates flip up for better resistance. Hope you will like it. Please follow my flickr account : Ivan Bricklim for more MOC. 15. Haven't seen any MOCs of the new white TIEs from Star Wars 7 yet, wanted to change that. Have this. The first of Sienar's TIEs with a more efficient white-painted solar cell, the TIE/cs utilizes five long range disruptor cannons, fed by two large power sources on the top of the wing struts. The extremely high rate of fire on the high-powered disruptor cannons necessitated the use of two "static emitter arrays", or SEAs. The bright flashes of the excess electric arcs emanating from the SEAs and the heavy strobe effect of the disruptor cannons earned the TIE/cs the nickname "Blinder". Later models were given an anti-flash protective layer on the cockpit, as to not damage the pilot's eyes. MORE HERE gaaah, mods please change name to just [The Force Awakens MOC] TIE/cs "Blinder" please
  16. Designed my first SHIiP (Seriously Huge Investment in Parts). DondoDyne SC-8030 "Goblin", a heavily armored gunboat on-par with the Skipray Blastboat. Eight ball-jointed engines, attached to four swiveling hubs for maximum maneuverability in and out of atmospheres. No reliance on repulsorlift or antigravity systems, making it perform equally across all environments, terrestrial or no. The bright red "shoot me here" fuel tanks are highly combustible, and when destroyed, often cause a chain reaction destroying all tanks, and causing damage to nearby ships. Perfect for suicide missions! The two rear crew are gunners, and the forward crew is made up of a pilot and co-pilot, the co-pilot having control of the lower turret, as well as the fuel, inertia, electrical, and communication systems. The pilot must balance use of the twin concussion missile launchers, five forward mounted laser cannons, the proton torpedo launcher, and the eight individually articulated engines. The swiveling hubs function on the s-foil system, so that's one thing off of the cluttered mind of a Goblin pilot. The pilot and co-pilot need to be trained heavily, and trained together. If one messes up, there's a big chance of it barreling into the ground while on fire and spinning. comments/criticism? these images can be found in my "musings" folder, i'll make a dedicated folder for this when i build it irl

    [MOC] Episode 7 Speeder

This is the speeder as seen in the Star Wars Episode 7 trailer 1 teaser. In that part of the video, it is run by actress Daisy Ridley. What's confusing in there, is that in the starting close up of the speeder , we can see a hand weapon, maybe a light saber, and on the following view of the speeder leaving, the lightsaber is clearly not present. On this rendering the speeder is based on a three-wheeled motorcycle part, and I have been trying to render most of the details and the overhall shape and feeling. Hope you'll like it. Hope you like it. You can download the LDD lxf from http://www.repubrick...mid=144〈=en

  21. Hi everyone! While being on a trip in Denmark, I've been able to get my hands on the Stormtrooper Sergeant Polybag. It's seems that this one is pretty rare, considering there is none on Bricklink (yet), and only one available on Ebay. How so? This one is, so far, only available in the BR shops...and supposedly "only gave away when you come by dressed as a Stormtrooper". As it is not indicated, you will also have to ask (nicely) to the BR shops staff :) Here are some pictures. Sorry for the quality but I didn't have any proper white background. Nothing interesting on the back of the package, except maybe the reference 5002938 - Item : 6105721 which I forgot to shoot. What do you get? 5 parts + a tissus epaulet (similar to other lego cloaks). Good thing is, the blaster is a classic style one...Less playability, but doesn't look like a pickle pot launcher. Now, let's compare with some other Troopers. Below, you can see the one from the Troop Transport battlepack (blue marks on the helmet), and the one from the Ewoks Village : And here is the one from the polybag : So basically, you get almost the same trooper as in the battlepack, with a classic blaster and an epaulet...But if you look in details, the lines below the eyes are black (instead of grey for the battlepack troopers). Maybe this little detail will get you excited and send you to a new "Find this polybag" quest? If not, then what we complain about? This polybag is available for free, no minimum buy or so :) The only thing that bother me - just a little bit - is that you can't rise the right arm with the blaster in it, thank you epaulet! Maybe that's why troopers can't shoot properly... Anyway, hope you like this left handed little guy! Could be a nice adition to the current Battlepack :)
  22. AYB 10, is the Hal Datta clan's classification of ugly made up of two B-Wing airfoils attached to a Y-wing cockpit by a TIE frame, and powered by a dangerously overclocked A-wing fusion reactor. The reactor feeds two relatively underpowered ion engines, upgraded from stock TIE fighter engines. The majority of the power goes to exciting the tibanna gas held in the tip-tanks, which consequently lets out an incredibly powerful blaster bolt that can penetrate every grade of armor up to that found on AT-ATs. In addition to that, it has twin proton torpedo launchers in the nose, and two high-intensity rapid lasers in the wingtips. The AYB 10s are only sent into battle when accompanied by either airspeeders or YB-3030s, depending on whether or not the battle is in-atmosphere. This particular AYB 10 belongs to a skilled Duro pilot by the name of Gleska, meaning "free-spirited sky". She lives up to that name by being the top AYB pilot in the entire Hal Datta fleet. 23. The Oordelay, a race in favor of Imperial rule, has had Aethersprite light fighters in service since the dawn of the Empire. Their use has dwindled, and as of the destruction of the second Death Star, only 23 remain in service with the Oordelay royal guard. Impressed by Plo Koon's custom fighter, the Oordali ministry of defense ordered many of these ships during the clone wars to supplement their navy and air force. The Aethersprites are the only non-Oordali designed or produced ships in their fleet. Unlike the "jedi starfighter" used in the clone wars, this later-model Aethersprite is hyperspace-capable, as is the escape pod. In addition to being slightly larger, it has been designated the R-1 in Oordali service. The ajar torpedo tubes fire custom, long-range homing torpedoes are paired with two large repeating lasers in-line with the engines. Instead of an astromech droid, the space in front of the cockpit has been turned into a pressurized cargo hold, often containing a hardcase full of survival equipment, a blaster of the pilot's preference, and a royal cortosis-phrik alloy shield. More pictures >>> https://www.flickr.c...57649668105989/ [i didn't change much because it reminded me of Chris Foss' spaceship art but the set itself was too tacky and overdesigned imo]
