  1. Hello Eurobrickers! I am here to show off my first complete MOC, the shield generators on Hoth. The final model is a little above 1700 pieces, I have to modify the model slightly for stability purposes, and then I will know for sure. Here is a good look at the Final Model: The base is sturdily constructed and the generators fit on top quite nicely. A look from the side: And a final look from the other side: The model took about a month to design and build. I will make this MOC's files purchasable once I finish (and start) the instruction booklet. Once complete the instructions will come with the excel spreadsheet containing a parts list. The minifigs are not a part of the parts list for anyone wondering! Overall it was a great experience to finally finish my first MOC. Now I just have to figure out how to finish my Invisible Hand Bridge MOC . That one is A LOT more pieces as the bridge is minifig scale and as exact as episode III will allow me to make it. Anyways, enough about that MOC, I hope you enjoy this!
  2. You can tell by the "lower" Lego Ideas project # that I've been thinking about this for some time: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/63523 -- Anyway, people keep asking for instructions. I realize it's a longshot, but the "easiest" way for instructions to happen would be for it to be a real set, so here goes nothing... Note that this stands about zero chance as a "normal" set (obviously). We'd somehow have to convince Lego that there's enough interested people that there could at least be a limited run of 500 or 1000 "Special Limited Collector's Edition" sets made - which means that the price would have to necessarily inflated even more! So think well above 10 cents a brick. Clearly there's a market for collectors to pay thousands of $ for a model they like. The UCS Falcon is reselling for $3500 - I've seen one sold even! Aiii! Other non-Lego movie collectables and art sell for thousands as well. So: There's a market, but it's not the normal Lego market. Clearly most retailers are unlikely to be able to stock and sell a set this large, so it would have to be a special collector's market. Speciality shops can probably sell them, but that all adds to the overhead. Additional, a "small" run means that the per-unit production costs go up. So instead of expecting this model to sell for $2000 or so, we need to show Lego that people are willing to pay twice that. I'll make suggestions as an update, but the comments of the supporters will need to help demonstrate that there does exist such a specialty market. Even so, Lego is going to be hard pressed to do this. That specialty market may exist, but it's not Lego's forte. They may need to contract with others as they do for some of their smaller special runs and non-Lego merchandise. Even so, this isn't as big of a return as tens of thousands of a cheaper set, so they might not feel it's worth their time.

    Full Size BB-8

Our Lego BB-8 - full size, still a work in progress... My Lego BB-8 mostly complete! Here he is talking: (yea, I know it's the old voice, this was right after the movie was released, his voice is better now) BB-8 has his own blog at http://BB-8.Blogspot.com and facebook page http://facebook.com/LegoBB8 and twitter http://twitter.com/LegoBB8 Lego Mouse and BB-8 Dressed for Holidays (Hmm, the "Edit" button is dangerously close to the "Report" button!)
  4. Hey Star Wars fans. I am sure some of you already got the 2016 Obi Wan Starfighter and realized that the cockpit is pretty crap and there is no place for a lightsaber. I am also sure some people have thought of better solutions than I did but I just wanted to share what I did to fix this. With a little 1x1 stud with clasps I made a lightsaber holder below the ship. Here is a pic :) https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1468/24417812182_f8949f2db8_k.jpg' alt='24417812182_f8949f2db8_k.jpg'>Obi Wan MOC by Vincent ST, auf Flickr[/img] I also am thinking of rebuilding this fighters center piece like annakins green interceptor (9494). Any thoughts? I am always happy to interact with people :) Thank you for reading
  5. Hi All I've been building small star wars mocs lately. I usually restrict myself to mainly figs. I've always disliked lego speeder bikes so have made couple of my own variations. They are quite different builds but both despite being built on the same frame. There seems to be a mini fad on these lately... And here is the minifig scale one.
  6. Recently out of my dark ages, and got some nice Christmas gifts these holidays - the 75050 among it. However, the interior of the 75050 was... sparse. It needed some TLC. As luck would have it, I got the 21304 for Christmas as well - the two seemed like a match made in heaven!
  7. Official S@H Description: Help Han Solo escape his frozen prison! Han Solo has been taken to the Carbon-Freezing Chamber and is about to be frozen in a block of solid carbonite! Can he defeat Boba Fett and escape or will he be frozen for all eternity by the Ugnaught? Only you can decide. • Includes 3 minifigures: Han Solo, Boba Fett and an Ugnaught. • Features a control center, freeze bed with freeze function, staircase and an elevator. • Lift Boba Fett into position with the elevator so he can keep guard. • Pull the knob to engage the freeze function. • Includes Boba Fett’s blaster. • Also includes Boba Fett’s helmet • Recreate unforgettable scenes from Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back. • Measures over 5” (13cm) high (with carbonite bed raised), 7” (18cm) wide and 5” (14cm) deep. Box size: 26cm x 19cm x 6cm Weight: Approx 363g Parts: 231 Price: £19.99 (UK) Year of release: 2016 Introduction Longer-term members of Eurobricks will probably be aware that I’m just ever so slightly obsessed by all things Cloud City, so when I heard the first rumours of a new Freezing-Chamber set I was rather excited by the prospect. Did it meet my high expectations? Well, read on and find out! I’ve said it before, but I really don’t understand TLG’s apparent disinterest for Cloud City, especially when you consider the huge array of sets that have been made since 1999. Several of which seem to have very little appeal to anyone (e.g. 7111, 8012, 7252, 6205 and 75024 to name just a few!) and yet whilst we’ve had multiple Droid carriers, AT-ATs, AT-STs, X-Wings, Y-Wings etc, if I recall correctly there’s only been three previous Cloud City-based sets: Firstly, we had 7119 (Twin-Pod Cloud Car) which although adorable is seriously out-dated, 10123 (Cloud City) which is looking similarly a little ‘tired’ these days if I’m being honest, and finally 9678 (Twin-Pod Cloud Car & Bespin) which was released in 2012. Considering that Cloud City takes up a decent percentage of the screen-time in The Empire Strikes Back (aka Episode V) that’s a pretty dismal show over a 15 year period in my opinion I’d always wanted a 10123, but I just couldn’t bring myself to spend the sort of money that a MISB version cost when I left my dark-ages a few years ago, and the cost has spiraled upwards ever-since. I kept thinking that a new version would be produced and, after 5 years of waiting, my dreams have been realised, well sort of, with the release of a brand new and shiny Cloud City-based set for 2016! I'd intended to buy this from Shop at Home as soon as it was available, but it seems to have been on a continual ‘back-order’ since the start of January, so I ended up picking it up from a local store. I usually wait for a decent sale before buying sets for my personal collection, but I was happy to pay the full RRP for it. The box Ok, I’ll admit that I’m a bit biased about this, but it’s a thing of beauty! They’ve captured the feel of the scene really well and, if it wasn’t for Kylo Ren lurking in the top-right corner, it would be just about perfect. The reverse is just as good, with a nice array of images showing specific details and play-features of the set. Top marks TLG designers, the box-art for SW sets keeps raising the bar The contents My initial impression was that it was worth the cost; it’s quite heavy for that price point at about 363g (especially compared to the new Escape Pod). The box is almost filled with two bags plus a set of instructions. The great news is that the set is DSS (Dreaded Sticker Sheet) free! Another TLG oddity is the lack of consistency in the back (numbering) styles; I’m sure that there’s a reason why each of the bags are different but it does seem a little strange! The set consists of 231 parts and there’s a nice array of LBG, DBG, Trans-Orange and Black. It also includes a Dark red 4x6 plate, and a bright Yellow Technic axle which I haven’t encountered before – an interesting addition! The instructions The build Firstly apologies for the rubbish photos. In keeping with my previous reviews, the weather in the UK is typically dismal at the moment and best described as ‘grey and overcast’! The instruction booklet is 68 pages and is broken into 75 steps. I’ve included photos at around 15 page intervals. Page 15 - The partially built Technic assembly to raise/lower/rotate the Carbonite block Page 30 - Technic assembly completed and Chamber platform partially built. Note the torture chamber(?) located on the bottom-right of the set which uses the 4 x 6 Dark red plate. Page 45 - Most of the platform built, part of the elevator in progress Page 58 - The end result. Your own, small but perfectly formed Carbon-Freezing Chamber! The minifigures This will probably be the most interesting part for most; according to Bricklink 3 of the minigures are new. Firstly we have everyone’s favourite bounty Hunter, Boba Fett, who is virtually identical to the version included in the £170 UCS Slave 1. Apart from a lack of arm-printing he looks identical (as shown below) so personally if I didn’t already own the UCS set I’d be more that happy with this as an alternative! Next we have an Ugnaught which is the first ever time that it’s been made in a LEGO form, and the designers have done a great job. I wasn’t too impressed when I saw the initial images, but he’s just about perfect. I would have liked to see him with a spanner (or possibly a white toolbag, but that probably just shows my age and fondness for the old Kenner minifigures) but you can’t have everything. Han (and carbonite) look very similar to the version in the UCS Slave 1 and Jabba’s Palace. The Unusual Suspects Reverse view - not the prettiest....! Comparison - New version (75137 left) and older UCS (75060 right) Summary Previous comments and reviews have highlighted the size, or lack of it. I agree that it isn’t massive, but personally I think that its great value. For £19.99 you get 3 minifigures (or 4 if you include the Carbonite!), a nice mix of 230 parts and a set that which feels solid and is a reasonable replica of the ESB scene. Functions wise, there’s a basic elevator to the right-side of it which is moved up and down via a small lever, and a Technic axle/assembly which enables you to either rotate the Carbonite block around, or move it below the level of the main platform. To be honest, the latter doesn’t work that amazingly, but it could be fun for little ones. In addition, there’s an odd 2x4 black plate which twists on a pivot and the box indicates that Han should be attached to it! I assume that it’s an attempt at replicating the torture room, but I could be wrong! Overall, it’s a great set and my scores are as follows: Minifigures: 8/10 – New Ugnaught (finally!) plus the chance to own a new Boba Fett at a reasonable cost. Parts: 8/10 – For this price point it includes a great selection of parts; lots of Greys, Black and Trans-Orange. The full parts list is available on Bricklink. Design: 8/10 – A great little set, which feels quite solid. The consol and pipes located on the side of the structure are nice additions. Playability: 7/10 - Not bad for a little playset and I’m sure that the target audience (7-12 year olds!) would have quite a lot of fun with it Value: 8/10 – Considering that the former wave of SW sets of a similar size (AAT & T-16 Skyhopper) were both £24.99, this seems very reasonable at £19.99 in the UK. That’s 78% if my maths is any good! C&Cs welcome; I hope that you enjoyed my review

    [MOC] TIE-Raider

I'm not a big fan of Star Wars and I've never made good SW MOC's. So this is the first for a long long time. TIE-Raider by Sunder_59, on Flickr Model on MecaBricks: http://mecabricks.com/en/models/P7l2B9JXa0N
  9. After seeing the new polybag version of Kylo Ren's shuttle I decided to make a version in black with moving and foldable wings. I did a bunch of versions of the body and wings but this works the best with the parts I have. I just need bricklink some black binoculars and I think this is done!
  10. Hey guys! I've been rewatching all the Star Wars movies the last couple weeks in anticipation for The Force Awakens. Now I'm in the mood to make sets LEGO never did! So I started off with the Droid Factory from Episode II: Attack of the Clones! The minifigures I included are Anakin, Padmé, RD-D2, two Geonosians, a Droideka, and two battle droids (one with C3-PO's head.) As usual with my MOCs, I try to make them look like real LEGO sets. So there's tons of play features, like turning the knobs on the sides of the conveyor belts, knocking Padmé into the giant fire pot thing the little platform at the entrance can be pulled back, etc. I actually made a droid factory set in 2013 but didn't like it so I remade it last night. I think it's heaps better than the old one, what about you? Thanks for looking! Feel free to tell me what you think I should make next! I'm thinking the Battle on Geonosis. We'll see!
  11. I've recently been considering making a Star Wars comic based on the events post Episode VII, although they'd be preposterous events that 100% won't happen in Episode VIII. Anyway, I was wondering how long Episode VII must be out for until writing about its events isn't considered a spoiler. No one cares when people write about Darth Vader being Luke's father, and that's a far bigger event than any in the new movie. I could put a warning of spoilers at the start of the comic, although I'm not sure how effective that would be. Also, I'm awful at thinking up comic names, so if anyone has an idea for the name of a Star Wars based LEGO comic, I'd love to hear it.

    [Moc] Sith War Droid C-Series

https://www.instagra.../p/BAoyu-UG_jj/ I present you my C-Series War Droid as seen in swtor. Incom T-65B X-Wing

I set out to create a more screen-accurate minifigure scaled X-Wing, and this is my result. The model is built to accept the canopy used in the new Poe's X-Wing Fighter set (75102), but it is not yet available to use in LDD so I created a stand-in for now. I am collecting the pieces to build the model, which is 1471 elements total. It features a geared S-Foil wing system controlled by the wheel on the back, opening canopy, and positionable landing gear with doors. Please visit my Mocpages to see more of my work. Comments/feedback appreciated!
  14. First of all a shout-out to Delta62, who built and posted an impressive Imperial Troop Transport before I did. To complete my MOCs of iconic ground vehicles from the Star Wars Rebels show, I've finished my minifig-scale version of the Imperial Troop Transport. It is sturdy, and for accuracy in shapes, proportions and details I used the Star Wars Rebels Visual Guide as a reference once again. Here's the model: Here's the vehicle with all doors and hatches on one side opened: The whole top can be pulled off easily to gain acceess to the inside. As you can see, there's a lot of space to transport goods, weapons or troops, as well as a seperate and detailed cockpit section that can hold a driver, an officer and three more passengers. I textured the middle-section of the top so that a few studs are exposed on which cargo boxes holding meilooran-fruits and other luxuries can be attached: Enjoy!

    Find panda!

Just a small MOC completed after a very long and frustrating day at work. In other words... find panda! Enjoy! :)
  16. Hello, I just recently found my old Death Star (Set 10188) and saw all of my old minifigures I used to have. Over the past couple of months I've been getting back into Star Wars and I thought a good way to have something to show for it is a minifig collection. I started looking at websites like Bricklink and even Ebay to find minifigures and felt intimidated by the choices and price. So far I have 29 minifigs and one (an old Boba Fett) coming in the mail. I am 16 and just recently bought a car and have to deal with fixing it and gas, and I am kind of limited by how much money I can spend on minifigs. Should I just slowly add onto it one minifig at a time, or buy battlepacks or sets of minifigures? All help is greatly appreciated, thanks! A picture of my set so far (might be low quality, black figure up front is a protocol droid and in the back is Darth Vader and Darth Sidious)

    [MOD] 7965 top hatch

FIRST POST I've been lurking on these forums for quite a while now, and I finally decided to get an account and post my things... Anyway, the top/bottom hatches of the 7965 and 75105 always bugged me, because the window that the shooter looks through is just a print. I took it upon myself to make a new hatch with the window. I'm not exactly sure how to mount it onto the falcon though...
  18. Hello guys and happy new year. New member in the community, i'm Bill from Greece. After 15-16 years I've decided to buy again some Lego sets. And here they're in some last minute photos until I've find a place for them.

    [MOC] Classic Y-Wing Bomber

When I acquired set 9495 when it was released, I thought it was the perfect Y-Wing. A few years later, I decided to do my own version. Here's what I came up with: One important detail I wanted was for the astromech droid to be able to sit perpendicular to the ship: For the engines, I kept the original 9495 nacelle and engine assembly, but bulked it up with several greebled plates. I really liked the bomb-dropping feature of 9495, so I installed it in my MOC. I hope you like it!
  20. Hi guys, So this is my Moc of a imperial carrier. (my apology for the bad quality of the picture and my english...) This is a support ship in the army of the empire. he can deploy more drop ship, soldier , tie figher and more than a star destroyer and can support infantry on ground with is orbital cannon... front view hangar view (and orbital cannon) side view engine view I take the exemple of this ship to do it. http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/6/6e/GladiatorClassStarDestroyer-SWArmada.png/revision/latest?cb=20150307050511
  21. Whats your favourite aspect of the Star Wars prequels? To me it always were the memorable designs of the various ships and land vehicles. Especially Revenge of the Sith with the Venator Class Republic Cruiser as well the Clone Turbo Tank and the AT-AP Walker featured some of the best the trilogy has to offer in my opinion. The only sad thing here is that those designs got barely any screen time in the movie. The AT-AP in particular is actually never seen fully or is ever focused on, the model just walks trough the background in the Battle of Kashyyyk several times. A real shame since its design and functionality is great and really beats all the other smaller walkers in the Star Wars Universe to me. The second System-Scale Version of the AT-AP from Lego was released last year and its a very good set. Only when you look up source material of the Sniper Tank, you will notice some mistakes and flaws in the design. One of the bigger ones, besides the usual wrong colorization and the play features, is that the Engine of Walker is actually missing. Instead the official Lego AT-AP is hollow on the back side and features some sad big gaps all over the place. So the decision to tackle some of those flaws was a fairly easy. First some reference/source material I used for modding the Lego version: And now for my own modded Lego Version: Besides the usual color tweaks, cover ups and gap filling I really tried to seperate the light and dark bluish gray to recreate the sillhouette of those thick armor plates on the front and sides of the walker, while the legs and the engine are uncovered. The gun on top of the main artillery cannon has been changed as well. The springloaded shooter is gone and instead the control console is now where it belongs (Instead being on the ground). Also the cockpit interior got enhanced and stuffed out. The main technic frame is nearly completely covered, there are more controls and greebling, accessory holders and the inside actually connects with the engine to create a more bulky and authentic look. Some pictures of the official Lego model to compare the MOD to: And while we are at comparisons, together with the big one: What do you guys think? Got any feedback or suggestions? And what do you think about the model itself? Would like to hear your thoughts.
  22. I'm most excited for the new star wars sets and nexo knights.

    [Review] 75049 Snowspeeder

Before starting to review this set, some warning. I’m quite a newbie in the Star Wars Lego universe – just started end of last year. All the sets that I buy are the first ones of their own. That means that I don’t possess any previous old version of them. Thus I can’t compare the set I’m reviewing to the previous ones.

I just bought the new Snowspeeder 75049 on internet. And I’m really happy about it. That’s a set I was looking for all these last months, and what I found was way too expensive. I like Lego, I like Star Wars, I love the Snowspeeder, but I’m not gonna pay a fortune for it.

So when I saw that it was back again, I knew that I needed to buy it.

75049 T-47 Snowspeeder
Pieces: 278
 Minifigs: 3
 Price I paid: 149pln (that’s about 36€ – 48$) – I saw it in a specialized toys shop at 229pln

 1) The box I find the box quite big, bigger than my 2 previous « small » set – A-Wing and Jedi Starfighter. I think that they could cut it by 1/3. Would be great. On the back you can see all the features and play functions of this set – the harpoon, the cockpit and the new missiles. I will write a bit more about these missiles later.

 2) The instructions

What I like on this instructions manual, is the last page, with the inventory of the minifigs of the new sets (I presume).

Some are very tempting. But buying a set just for them. Not for me.

 3) The minifigs Luke, Dak and a Snowtrooper.

I don’t like this kind of skirt on the Snowtrooper. I’m even thinking of removing it. But I love his backpack.

I didn’t have Dak before, and he just looks like any rebel in his pilot gear. Has 2 faces.

Luke is new. Of the 3 Luke I have, this is certainly the best one.

Just one thing, when the heads have 2 faces, I don’t like to see that tiny part of the print below the helmet. You can see what I mean on the picture above.
 4) The building There are 3 bags, with small bags inside them as well.

The first one is for the canon and the cockpit. There second one is for the one wing. The third one is for the other wing. There is one mini fig in each bag.

Great fun building it. Just under 1 hour – the time for my baby son to take his afternoon nap. As usual, I build the set as I’m told in the instruction manual, and then I realize that there is some stuff that I don’t like or that there are some flaws. I really don’t like the new spring-loaded shooters, as for my previous set – the Jedi Starfighter – I removed them. I don’t like the sound of the spring when they are not loaded, and I think it’s kinda dangerous. I don’t want to misfire when I play close to my baby son. And for the harpoon, I removed the cable. I think that this system is not compatible with the snowspeeder. It’s such a primitive way to handle the cable. I didn’t take pictures of my transformation. Just the set as it should be once built. Something that bother me as well is that with the minifigs are inside the cockpit, and we close it, they have to lay down a little. Not such an easy way to fly the ship.
The sticker didn’t bother me even if sometimes it’s not that easy to place them perfectly.

I think that it’s a really good looking snow speeder. But I already loved it before buying it. I love it since the movie.

 5) The ratings

Figs: 9/10 – Nicely detailed, good enough for me. But I’m not a hard die fan of minifigs. I like them, and I can be happy with a simple one.
Building/Design: 8/10 – Beside the spring-loaded shooters that I hate and the cable for the harpoon, the rest is great.
Price: 8/10 BUT – I would have never bought this set full price. I found it in an internet shops with 30% off because it was their Star Wars week. I saw it in a shop at 229pln. Normal retail price is about 195pln – that’s 62$/48€. Horribly expensive. (it’s for that I try to buy the big sets when they are on sale or when people sell them – brand new – on our national eBay).
Overrall: 8/10 – the spring-loaded shooters bother me a lot. As for the cable. Such a prehistoric solution. Hope my english wasn’t too bad ;)

[ML Cad] Lego Star Wars Mosaic

Hello Eurobrickers! Today I would like to show you my Lego Star Wars Mosaic
