Hello all, I started on a Tintin project for Brickvention 2015, because there isn't a Tintin line I have needed to find someone who could create the minifigure parts (torso and heads) for this project. After a long time of research and going through some expensive quotes. I am still looking at the moment for a cheap pad printer company that can do 1 or 2 of each print still at a low price, if you know anyone please help out!

Would you use custom Technic parts?
robuko posted a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I am not really a Technic Moccer but I am curious. If there was a custom option of buying cheap versions of rare parts like 19l flex axles, would you use them? I think I would for non structural parts, but not for structural parts. -
I can't yet decide whether I like these Chinese custom figures but these are cool, and it kind of gives you an idea how force ghosts could look. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281425811976

Hi there I'm trying to make a minifig with blue skin but am stuck on the head; the official Lego ones just don't have the right expressions. Does anyone know if there are any custom printed heads out there? Cheers MW

Who are the most experienced minifig customizers at Eurobricks? I.e. someone who design design a torso decal that looks like something the LEGO Group would release themselves? Ideally those who is interested in historic themes... particularly those relating to LEGO Pirates.

hello, since a bit of time i decided to rebuilt some lego's, but i do not wanted to scrap my other rides;-) so i bought a 42029, because i think it is a fantastic truck to begin with:-) started from a stock 42029, i changed the length of the bed, put in a proper v8, rebuild front and rear fenders, put big 8110 wheels on it, make it rc. other things like a exhaust in the rear, the top ones still standing, it is powered by 2 l motors and the servo motor. next is the lenghtening of the cabin;-) here are some pics enjoy and comment;-)

Well, I still checked in on EuroBricks only with a different name, although later (when it is available profile) I change my nickname on the DSCustoms. This is my first topic here on EuroBricks. I'm not going to write a new tex because of my bad English, and just copy what I have written on Flickr. https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3740/14266722856_2a81aefeac_o.jpg Post-Apoc mercenary by DSCustoms, on Flickr This is my first difficult custom. I've been doing it for about a week and painted about 3-4 hours. I created it under the influence of Fallout and InSomnia, and I was happy with the result. Mod to minifigures were made of epoxy glue and painted from Tamiya paints. Enjoy! (P.S. Sorry for my bad English)

MOC: LEGO Movie CMF Display Stand (Collectable Minifigures)
Lucifer Adams posted a topic in Special LEGO Themes
Hi everyone! After some very kind words from users here in regards to my large black (but a bit boring) CMF Display Stand (HERE), I wanted to share with you the display stand I made for the LEGO Movie CMF figures. There was no question for me that the Movie minifigures should get their own stand, since they are not part of the main CMF lineup (remember when these were rumoured to be Series 12?). So with that in mind, I had decide on how to display them. Using the amazing LEGO Movie logo was a no-brainer! The 'THE' is my favourite part of the logo! The logo is a separate unit to the minifigure stands and looks really effective as a MOC when displayed on its own. The yellow and black tiles that you can see at the front and back of the logo are part of a support plate structure that prevents the logo from overbalancing and tipping forward or backwards. The logo was the easy bit compared to the rest of this MOC. I had a lot of trouble thinking of a way to display the Minifigures around the logo and what I kept coming back to was the 'construction' theme of the movie and of the posters in particular. So with that in mind, I went with the idea of scaffolding and made a kind of scaffolding framework that would stand underneath the logo and curl around it. The scaffolding uses 304 of the 'Light Sword / Wand' parts in light bluish gray. Getting each of the eight stands to be identical in size and shape required very careful and precise use of a pair of pliers (suitably padded) to insert each wand to the correct depth. Pushing one wand in too deep or not enough would alter the shape of the individual stand. I learnt this early on when my second stand was a different size to my first. I had to scrap them both and start again, using a larger frame made of plates that fit around the stand, making sure the insertion depth was consistent between stands. As I did on my previous CMF stand, I printed out custom stickers with the character's name and applied them to 1x4 white tiles to act as nameplates. Thanks for looking! You can view the full album on Flickr HERE.- 12 replies

Are there any useful guides / guidelines regarding dyeing LEGO parts? In particular Minifigure parts? Any products to avoid? Any methods better than others? Thanks!

[MOC] WeirdCab HotRod IR/RC
HorcikDesigns posted a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hi. When building Trial Truck for next race of Czech LTTT competition, I have decieded to build something really fast. I have not succeeded, this one is not fast, On the other hand, this is my first hot-rod with classic body style (my Willys-rod was something "special" :D ) So, this one is equipped with one 5292 RC buggy motor geared down from 20t bevel gear to new-style diff (see photo of chassis in album), one servo for steering, and both of them are powered by one Li-Po BB. This BB also powers two sets of lights. Unfortunatelly, probably because of weight of this car the V2 reciever often overheats and shuts down for a while the drive motor. In video you could see more info about it. (however, my Movie Maker or YTprofile is probably broken, it makes strange effects :D) More photos: WeirdCab HotRod WeirdCab HotRod WeirdCab HotRod WeirdCab HotRod WeirdCab HotRod WeirdCab HotRod WeirdCab HotRod chassis Hope you like it, critique or comments welcomed ;) -
After a discussion with LuxorV and Dr Leg O'Brick, We came to a conclusion that Community was the best place to put this thread. Here Kre-O decals will be produced so that you can customize your Kreons to your heart's content. Kre-O themes are as followed Star Trek Transformers G.I Joe Battleship Dungeons and Dragons Cityville Invasion Decals will be made from that list of themes. Here are some I made earlier General Trelane (Retired) Harry Mudd These decals were inspired by Star Trek: The Original Series Kre-O decals are the same size as Lego decals at width, but are slightly shorter at the length I look forward to seeing what you can come up with, - END OF LINE -

Changing Color of Technic Parts
__________________________ posted a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hey EBers, I want to change the color of the parts in 8110 Unimog. Any advice on what technique (painting, dyeing, etc.) would be best? I'm totally inexperienced with this stuff. This would be to enhance the look of the vehicle with an all-black bed, chassis, etc. Thanks, have a good day! -
[MOC] The Ghost Rider, Spirit of vengeance, Figure scale MOC
The Joker1 posted a topic in LEGO Licensed
Hey guys, As a massive marvel fan and motorbike fan I am naturally in love with the original spirit of vengeance from ghost rider 1. I have always planned to make the bike as a MOC but never got round to it. However with the release of the agents flame headpiece and with inspiration from ACpins fantastic creation I finally got round to it. Initially I had planned to go with something very similar to ACpins however i found that a tad large, So starting from scratch here's the result. The grievous head is sadly in bad condition as i got it in a trade many years ago. Ghostbusters - Arm Logo Pad Printed (Group Project )
CustomJoe_MD posted a topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
--------------------------THE CAMPAIGN IS NOW ON STANDBYE awaiting new developments http://farm4.staticf..._52ca668221.jpg This is the official "Give your Ghostbusters Minifigs a better arm project" Since the Lego set minifigs don't have the logo printed in the right arm and it's 4 of them per set, I got the idea to have arms printed with the logo in the 3 colors (red, white and black tracing). This will be an enhancement for the Official Minifigures this is the post where the madness began. http://www.eurobrick...25#entry1830330 Now the way I see it in order to make it affordable, we need to pay as a group for the parts and the printing in order for the cost to come down. The alternative would be some kind of business model/venture like other customized pieces are sold in the specialized stores we all know about (the usual suspects). I'm thinking Europe only, but that could change. I have a printing team that can do it at Lego levels of quality (have samples on the way to make sure) The graphic work is free basically, it's everywhere, I mean it's the freaking Gbusters logo, right? So what I'd like to know is are YOU(EB members) interested in making this happen, is this something YOU want, and are willing to help it happen. I'm waiting on pricing and business arrangements to work themselves out, before I delve into the nitty gritty of it. As soon as I have something work out, I'll need: 1-To know how many people want them(a public list will be posted here) 2-Who is able and has the trust of the community to work as a distribution hub (basically you would coordinate within your area or Country) Let's call you the Helpers. 3-Pricing (it's 4 minifig arms, for bricks sake it shouldn't cost us an arm and a leg) 4-How will we Coordinate things.Delivery points or some kind of tree/grapevine system. 5-Other Printers that can do the job as well or better/cheapper etc. 6-Inter fan site Coordination (basically who is active on other sites that would share our objective) Now some questions, should this be a kickstarter type thing? Should we just Cuusoo the arm print, or petition Lego to make it (they could go for it, maybe??) Let me know bellow what you think, keep it concise if possible and let's try and aproach this as a wargame scenario, by objectives and go go go till we make it. Brick on peeps. ---------------------------------- UPDATE2: 22-02-2014 Flickr page: http://www.flickr.co...05/12688000995/ email: Legomazingtoys.eu ("at") gmail.com Right now just to see interest level (there is NO commitment until we have pricing) I'd like those interested to send an Email or PM with the following info: All personal data will be kept confidential ------------------------ First + Last Name City + Country If EB member - Forum name (and paste a link to your profile page - saves me the work) ----------------------- In the text put one of these options: 1- I want to have the lego arms printed with Ghostbusters (and tell us how many you need for yourself) 2- I want to help/join the project - Ghostbusters printed lego arm 3- I support the Ghostbusters printed lego arm logo campaign but not sure if I'll buy the official set yet ----------------------------------------- This will help check the interest levels and see how we can organize ourselves in groups by location. KEEP spreading the word it's working, and if anyone has a conduit to someone official at Lego besides the ambassador here let me know (PM me if you do or email)- 46 replies
