Hello. I have a question. How to restore the black color on 1x2 plate with ladder pieces 4175? It seems some of those black pieces start to look white with time. I tried soap and ithe whitening t gets worst. Thanks.

    CLASSIC SPACE PIECE PACK

For those Classic Space fans here, if you could make a direct request to Lego Group what would be? Maybe the restoration of one of the Space theme, maybe a remake of one of the iconic set releases of the era. Those are great requests and wouldn't mind any of those, but in my case like in most AFOLs, we design and build our own sets. For that I've been conducting polls on Lego groups about which new color pieces would you want Lego to make and so far I came with this group. Think about it, a Lego piece pack with new color elements to build Neo Classic Space sets. This is what I´ve come with so far. What piece you think I'm missing?
  3. Hello fellow builders, I present you the Flying Dutchman, the infamous ghost ship from the Pirates of the Caribbean film series, in LEGO! The idea came to me a year ago, while I was sitting at my desk when I cast me eyes upon the 3 official LEGO POTC ships on the top of my shelf: The Black Pearl, The Queen Anne's Revenge, and The Silent Mary. For years I had been waiting for LEGO to release a Flying Dutchman, but to no avail it never came out. Determined to build the ship myself, I embarked on an exciting, challenging but rewarding journey to produce a MOC which would take up its rightful place among my fleet and make it complete. More information can be found here at LEGO IDEAS. If you like it, feel free to support! Here are some renders below (more can be found on my Flickr page): LEGO Flying Dutchman - 1 by Scarvia LEGO Flying Dutchman - 2 by Scarvia LEGO Flying Dutchman - 4 by Scarvia And with the crew: LEGO Flying Dutchman - 6 by Scarvia The infamous triple-barrelled chasers in the bow: Triple-barrelled chasers (Out) by Scarvia Triple-barrelled chasers (In) by Scarvia Thank you for your time.

    I can't Pick a Brick!

I live in a place where no lego stores are near me, like the closest one to me is about an hour away. I want to stock up on lego because I am running out of them, and used bricklink orders, but I want to get new pieces as well. So I am wondering if anyone living in California, or the United States, can ship to me a large cup of pieces, particularly plates and bricks? I am willing to pay like $17 more for shipping & handling.
  5. How come LEGO Universe never got a line of sets? Considering it had a story, the factions and the Nexus could have been the main focus, with spare pieces to use on customizing minifigures. Heck, when the game was out, I envisioned LEGO adding a line where you could buy packs of minifigures that featured different weapons, armor, clothes, and accessories that either fit into LU generally or where part of a faction, like a proto-Minifigure line. I forget if my idea was based around mystery bags or not, but another idea I had was a set that had a collection of minifigures and small builds with tons of weapons and armor from in-game like the boxed collections of minifigures. But childhood ramblings aside, why didn't they promote it like they did with the LEGO Movie with sets? At the very least they could have added onto the price like it was a licensed line and diverge the extra money to the game itself to pay for moderators and admins (maybe even give some free time in the game so kids could try out the wider game, and maybe give their characters a collection of pieces to add to their existing collection in the freebuild islands, cars, and rockets). I remember seeing all the cool gear you could get in-game and how cool the enemies looked, and wondered why they didn't at least make the pieces available in some smaller line so kids (i.e. me and my friends) could use them in their builds and allow them the feeling of making stuff in the game. Wouldn't you like making a mech while having official pieces that had your faction logo and had a 1-to-1 recreation of your actual character's appearance and high-level gear with his pet skunk co-piloting? The only reason I say this is because there were instances where elements would show up in LU and there wouldn't be any real life equivalent, either because the designers took liberties with the pieces and their connections (even though ironically some could have been made real easily as the pieces were just edits of existing ones) or because they designed stuff, like the faction and enemy pieces, that don't have a clean, official real life counterpart. I don't even care if LU can't come back as an MMO, considering how hard it is to run a family friendly one without the world's best team of mods, admins, and (because it's LEGO) software algorithms, but considering how popular it was in general, making the move to sets and another medium for story, like a single player/local multiplayer game, tv show, or full line of comics wouldn't be outside the realm of a possible success. And it wouldn't have even been a bad idea to release the full code (I wouldn't even care if I had to pay for it) for the game to more easily let its own community continue hosting the game by letting them set up their own servers a la Minecraft. I just feel that there was too much wasted when the game ended and TLG left it fully in the dust with little to nothing salvaged.

    V.I.P. Events and More...

Hi All! My apologies if this new topic is placed incorrectly however I'm not sure where else it could possibly belong? I am aware there are VIP events such as VIP early release and double/triple points. When is the triple points weekend event? Is it yearly? Also what's your opinions on VIP early release?
  7. Hi I'm using lego digital designer and I hope I'm not the only one who does this, but I love making my own brick decals or "stickers" by using this method:http://www.rockraidersunited.com/topic/5399-tutorial-adding-custom-decals-into-ldd/ or some other website I forget. But I cant add a decal to this door piece, (58381) I do what the instructions from the link above told me, It works for most pieces but not this one please help.

    New parts wishlist

I would like the Mixels balljoint cup 1x2 plates, but with the cup rotated 90 degrees for greater movement freedom. I could also use 1x2 plate Mixels balljoint cup with the cup on top like 11458 and one with cup on bottom like 24201 or 18677. Mixel cup one end, jumbo cup other end. Mixel ball one end, jumbo ball other end. I would also like a 1x2 plate (or more) with studs on top and bottom (no clutch side). What would you more experienced Lego builders want?
  9. I know that the general sentiment is that printed pieces are less useful than blank ones because they fit into fewer builds. However, some prints are more flexible than others. For example, for space MOCs, control panels, computer displays and keyboards are generally useful. What are your favorite printed parts to use in MOCs?
  10. I have a lot of pieces that have broken over the years, and I noticed the broken bricks option on the LEGO customer service site. I was wondering if there were any rules for that, such as if this option is only for replacing a piece that comes broken in the box, or if it breaks immediately after first use. Most of my broken pieces broke at least a few months after a set was purchased. Does any of this matter? Or is it just for replacing any brick that has broken?
  11. I'll start with mine. I would take a 1x1 brick with 4 knobs, and take one knob away, leaving 3 knobs. I would use it mainly for micro vehicles.
  12. In part 3068bpb0589, appeared in sets 3939, 41005, 41050, 41063, 41103 and 41142, are featured music notes. I discovered, that it's notes for French children's song Frère Jacques, also known as Brother John.
  13. There's a similar thread over in the Licensed forum (http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=118184) but it's mostly devoted to DC & Marvel parts. Also, I know some members of the Star Wars forum do not venture outside of the Galaxy Far, Far, Away here on EB, and this thread could be of use to them. If the mods deem this thread unnecessary, that's fine with me. The list is a little bare at the moment, but it changes a lot, so check back in this thread and at the Lego website for updates. 75094 Shuttle Tydirium Han's Torso- #6112600 Leia's Hair- #64807 Rebel Commando Torso- #6112435 75139 Battle on Takodana Finn's Hair- #21778 Finn's Torso- #6127357 75059 Sandcrawler Forest Green R4 Dome- #6078955 75105 Millennium Falcon Dejarik Table- #6127398 75106 Imperial Assault Carrier Agent Kallus' Hair- #6114885 75093 Death Star Final Duel Luke's Torso- #6114392 Palpatine's Legs- #6080459 Luke's Dark Tan Hair- #4557944 10236 Ewok Village Leia's Braided Hair- #11261 75098 Assault on Hoth Luke' Torso- #6129000

    Rare Parts Shop?

Does anyone know of a good brick link store that sells rare pieces? Like anything that is not common, even prototypes and pre production parts. Thanks
  15. The Title should pretty much tell everything, but heres a short summary: Today I wanted to buy some unique pieces from Bricks and Pieces. Manly Star Wars pieces like Sabine's Helmet. I made my order and got an E-Mail shortly after which said: "We offer a free service to replace LEGO® bricks that were missing or faulty in a new set. After reviewing your account history and parts requests you’ve made over time, we’ve decided to no longer offer this service to you. As a result, we’ve cancelled your order. Any future orders will also be cancelled. You can still buy LEGO bricks and sets elsewhere, but orders placed through LEGO.com, for both Shop and replacement parts, online or over the phone will be automatically cancelled from this point on." I know they assume you abuse the system if you order too much, and I admit ordering some pieces 2 years prior (I was really nitpicky back then about slightly misplaced printings, but anymore thank god). But the point is, I wanted to BUY the pieces. Not get them for free. I entered my credit card informations and they still cancelled it. Why feels like a giant "Screw you" to me. I wouldn't mind if it was an order about missing bricks, but no, I just wanted to buy them and they still treat my like this. Reading this sounds like im ranting really hard, but it isn't really, since they have a reason to be suspicious to me. But what actually unsettles me the most is that they told me that ALL Orders from the Online Store will get cancelled. Every.Single.One. I tried to contact them once because I really had a broken piece to be replaced, but they ignored my E-Mail. Edit: Sorry for the late answer, but I finally asked them about this issue per phone. It did NOT get solved. The woman I talked to explained me that the decision came from a person on an higher position than her and she couldn't do anything about it to change it. Well, now I feel like I just got a giant middle finger shuffed in my face... So I don't really know what to do know. I think a phone call would come in mind, but let me hear what you say about this messy situation.

    AFOL Starter Kit

Hi Everyone, I've been an Afol for the past 3 years, and have a fair idea of what sort of themes I like. However when I was starting out it wasn't that easy figuring out what sets or pieces I should start with, let alone what sort of themes I'd be interested in. Obviously when it comes to themes it's a personal choice, but I thought it might be a nice idea to have a topic where you help out all Afols new to the hobby, with a sort of Starter Parts list. Perhaps if you have a certain theme you enjoy, you'll find that there are certain pieces that you use over and over again. It would have been nice to stumble over something like this when I was starting out, and would have given me a bit more of a focus when it comes to my MOCS. I've got a wide range of theme interests, so I thought I'd kick off with more a basic starter kit that doesn't really focus on any particular theme. Please note I see these as the sort of pieces you should have in bulk, and will stay away from the more specialized pieces, that might not be used as much. Plants Having a variety of plants works in pretty much whatever sort of theme you enjoy. Whether its for landscapes or just to add a couple of details having a lot of these pieces always comes in handy. Plant Brick, Round 1 x 1 with 3 Bamboo Leaves Plant Flower Stem Plant Leaves 4 x 3 Plant Leaves 6 x 5 Plant Leaves 6 x 5 Swordleaf with Clip Green Plant Flower Stem 1 x 1 x 2/3 with 3 Large Leaves Brackets Brackets are great for Snot work - Having a variety of these in multiple colours (or just a couple as they are usually hidden) will help your builds look completely studless! Bracket 1 x 2 - 1 x 2 Bracket 1 x 2 - 1 x 2 Inverted Bracket 1 x 2 - 2 x 2 Inverted Bracket 1 x 2 - 2 x 2 Bricks Bricks are usually found in abundance in most Afols collections, but the ones below can certainly help with your SNOT work. Having a variety of these will certainly help. Brick, Modified 1 x 1 with Stud on 1 Side Brick, Modified 1 x 1 with Studs on 2 Sides Brick, Modified 1 x 1 with Studs on 4 Sides Brick, Modified 1 x 2 with Studs on 1 Side The below Brick is a newish Brick to LEGO, but has certainly come in handy for a variety of MOCS. If you like any sort of buildings you'll need a ton of these in a variety of colours. Brick, Modified 1 x 2 with Masonry Profile (Brick Profile) Hinges Curves are always difficult to produce in LEGO. These pieces may help. Hinge Brick 1 x 4 Swivel Hinge Plate 1 x 4 Swivel Top Plates I dont think there there are any Afols out there who wouldn't place the following piece as one of the most useful pieces LEGO has created. So useful in ensuring that you can offset your bricks! Plate, Modified 1 x 2 with 1 Stud (Jumper) The following pieces are super useful in getting different angles on the builds, and I know Mecha and Robot builders have been waiting for these pieces for a long time! Plate, Modified 1 x 2 with Small Towball Socket on End late, Modified 1 x 2 with Small Towball Socket on Side Plate, Modified 1 x 2 with Towball on Side Slopes I don't think i need to into detail about why slopes are so useful. These are the ones i'd recommend having in bulk. Slope 30 1 x 1 x 2/3 Slope 45 2 x 1 Slope 65 2 x 1 x 2 Slope 75 2 x 1 x 3 Tiles I was going to put a list of tiles here that I thought would come in handy, but quite honestly, whatever tiles you can get your hands on in bulk (and obviously a colour you like) will always be essential. They're super useful, so having a lot of tiles in as many shapes and sizes as possible will definitely benefit you as a builder. Let us us know what your idea of a "Starter Kit" is!
