Yeah archived projects become unsearchable, so unless you have the direct url it is impossible to find them. Funny when they said in the email that "This way fans can still admire your creation" when you can't find them?? I heard that LEGO are planning on releasing a reboot of the Pirate theme for 2020/2021, but best not to spread fake news so let's just wait and see.

I have bad news guys, my Flying Dutchman project got archived only just know, and I was close to 4000 supporters :( Here's the email from LEGO IDEAS for proof that no more ships will be allowed. I can even confirm that tombungee's Endeavour, Stortebricker's Rolling Dutchman, Skulls1234's HMS Surprise, Kolonialbeamter's Royal Flagship, Micro_Model_Maker's Maelstrom Duel, Xman's H.M.S. Ideas, Naboo1's HMS Surprise, SaltyFish's Tintin - The Unicorn, Ian Malcolm's Wreck in the Abyss, Red Spaceman's Skull's Eye Schooner, Bricky_Brick's Sword of the Seas ,and Babyteeth's Spanish Galleon Warship and Caribbean Pirate Galleon have been archived as they can no longer be supported and be commented on. It appears all of these submissions were rejected today. The only ship I see remaining is tombungee's Empress and Babyteeth's Caribbean Clipper, though the latter has reached 10k supporters but I am sure that it will be archived soon just like the rest. So disappointing. I don't know what's going to happen with the pirate forts/outposts but there's really no point in posting ships anymore. LEGO IDEAS is basically broken guys ;)

https://legoideas.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/356076-license-conflicts-and-resolutions Looking at the website above ^ it says they've updated the rules on the 17th of April, and it's not just Pirate Bay anymore but Pirate Ship concept as well. I think that means no ships will be allowed unless it's anything related to POTC, and the ships currently in the supporting stage won't be accepted if they get the 10k support ?

Not true. The Guidelines on LEGO Ideas states that: meaning cloth sails which already exist can be used, even in different colours. They just don't want people to ask for a new cloth or make their own cloth. For example, the cloth sails I used in the Flying Dutchman on this thread, are the same ones that were used in the official LEGO Black Pearl and Queen Anne's Revenge set.
  5. Thank you very much! I made sure it was similar in size to the other official LEGO POTC ships so it would fit with the theme, and it's at 2556 piece count after many adjustments, which I think is a good compromise between size and amount of detail, considering how intricate the real ship is. And aye it surprises me too, we'll never know why. ?‍♂️
  6. Thank you so much! I thoroughly enjoyed building it and every second was worth it - glad you like it. D O Y O U? Thank you, much appreciated!
  7. Hello fellow builders, I present you the Flying Dutchman, the infamous ghost ship from the Pirates of the Caribbean film series, in LEGO! The idea came to me a year ago, while I was sitting at my desk when I cast me eyes upon the 3 official LEGO POTC ships on the top of my shelf: The Black Pearl, The Queen Anne's Revenge, and The Silent Mary. For years I had been waiting for LEGO to release a Flying Dutchman, but to no avail it never came out. Determined to build the ship myself, I embarked on an exciting, challenging but rewarding journey to produce a MOC which would take up its rightful place among my fleet and make it complete. More information can be found here at LEGO IDEAS. If you like it, feel free to support! Here are some renders below (more can be found on my Flickr page): LEGO Flying Dutchman - 1 by Scarvia LEGO Flying Dutchman - 2 by Scarvia LEGO Flying Dutchman - 4 by Scarvia And with the crew: LEGO Flying Dutchman - 6 by Scarvia The infamous triple-barrelled chasers in the bow: Triple-barrelled chasers (Out) by Scarvia Triple-barrelled chasers (In) by Scarvia Thank you for your time.

Aye but they removed the license from the list of Active Licenses, since they're no longer selling any POTC product (the Silent Mary has retired not long ago)

For a time I’ve been building a Flying Dutchman since LEGO never released it, and I’ve just uploaded my model on LEGO IDEAS, link’s here if you're interested. I’m open to any criticism/suggestions :)
