  1. My entry for Summer Joust 2022 - Bridging the Gap category. Inspired by the assaults on Lothlorien during the war of the ring. The build is not depicting any particular scene from the books, but just trying to capture a mixture of Peter Jacksons darker style, mixed with the classic 1978 cartoon. 2. Elwyn and Raelyn are on the road again, walking through the forest. All their belongings are carried by their horse. The forest creatures are observing them carefully especially the Woodlings, who follow them secretly inside the Whispering Woods. -- Elwyn the last Ash wood elf travels together with Raelyn. a half elf who had rescued him from the destruction of his land. Raelyn took care of his wounds and if she didn't stop Elwyn from immediately returning to the city, he would have surely died. The great elven city of Nyen Aerthoru was attacked by the Aelshide who summoned demons and corrupted the animals and beasts of the land. -- Elwyn is looking for the elves of the Whispering Woods, to find a way to restore his land and the corrupted city. A path to travel, a quest to complete... by Ids, on Flickr A part of my "the Whispering Woods" mocs: The Whispering Woods | Flickr

    Elvendale

Hi, my name is Josephine. I am creating Elevendale with all my Elves sets (I own them all) I would love to post images and you give me feedback and advice! Thanks. My family and I are moving house so my Lego is getting packed away . Over the next few weeks I am going to be buying pieces and sketching out designs for Elvendale. If you have any pieces that have helped you let me know what ones they are and I should be posting a base sketch in a few days

    Lego Elves Dragon

This is my idea of Ragana's dragon I used Zonya's body with quite a few additions and techniques. I think she turned out really elegant and I cant wait to display her in a moc. Her name is Astori. I'm so sorry for the bad photos
  5. Well, 2.5 years later it's *almost* finished! Here is our moc of Elvendale and the Dragon Sanctuary. What started off as a fairly simple moc of the village quickly got out of hand and grew to include a mountain, our version of the Dragon Sanctuary, a goblin village and more! We took inspiration from the Animated series and the original sets, but added our own twist. Elvendale village includes the bakery, a mining store and a little house. Behind stands the Elvenstar tree. The Dragon School can be found high up on a rocky outcrop, by a high waterfall The Elvenstar Tree Follow the road East of the village (past the mushroom stairs into the Elvenstar Tree) and you'll come to the old windmill that sits above Naida's cove: Take the path west up the mountain and you'll find the entrance to the crystal mine. If you don't like the look of that, cross the winding stream to reach the mountain meadow, but beware - you might be being watched! Look up and you'll see the floating islands... And reaching into the clouds, the Dragon Sanctuary itself... The sanctuary had stood empty for as long as any elf could remember, and a huge tree was taking over. But when the goblins were saved from Kronan, they came to work for the elves and they soon had it back up and running... A bit of plumbing here, a fire there... The queen egg sits on top of a magic pool. The water is piped over the water egg, collected and used to water the branches round the earth egg. The goblins collect the wood and use it to feed the fire under the fire egg, and the hot air rises to turn the fans by the wind egg. Keep going West, and you'll come down the other side of the mountain. Rosalyn's healing hideout stands by the beach, and a mysterious entrance... ...which leads into the underground goblin village! The plants look fearsome, but they're friendly really... Maybe stop for refreshments in the inn? Ah, so that's how they get in! Keep going and you'll find yourself right back where you started - back in Elvendale Village! Of course, walking is fine, but it's much quicker to go by dragon! And here are a couple of bonus pics: Whole thing from the front (sorry about the background, I don't have anywhere big enough to properly photograph it!) And the back: Thanks for looking! There are lots more photos on my Flickr, including WIP and comparisons of the original artwork/sets and our versions. https://www.flickr.com/gp/160994572@N02/535Fa1
  6. Here's my Elves-themed entry to the Eurobricks Flower Show, Noctura's Garden. When she is not wreaking havoc on the Elves, Noctura loves taking a stroll through her garden, a hidden gem in the Shadowlands. More images in the Flickr album. Hope you like it. Comments welcome!
  7. So I've been working on an "Elves" Inspired Modular set that mirrors the Assembly Square Modular Layout. This will be another modular on my "Shadow Goblin Lane" First building for the square will be a bakery. I started out with 41074 as a visual inspiration. Here's my planned layout of square. The bakery will eventually be three stories. I wanted to emphasize curves, add some trees, and make the oven the center piece of the ground floor. I also want to use the wooden doorways as a recurring motif across my Elves Assemble Square. They are a pain in the megablocks and take up too much space.. but Sometimes its fun to tie one hand behind your back. There are two walkup counters on the ground floor, front and back, and the 2nd floor has a fireplace and large balcony for patrons to chill and eat baked goods. The back cobblestones aren't right.. but its a work in progress. Some kind of repeating pattern like this radiating out from the fountain might be fun.. The other buildings on the square will probably be pretty close to the Assembly square buildings. You can see I've reversed the layout and the two buildings with the shared wall are on the opposed side. But I love the dumpster bucket roof of the center building of Assembly Square... and will mainly just be recoloring the rightmost "victorian" building of Assembly Square. I don't think I can get the wooden door arch to fit diagonally in any kind of reliable way, so I may keep a normal door there. I was going to make the fountain a variation of Nadias Secret spa with a waterfall wall on the first level of the center building. but just not enough rough and too busy with it crammed in there.
  8. Does anybody else spend an unreasonably long time trying to cram functional staircases into too small of a space? After finishing off my Goblin Market, I'm busy converting Raganas's Shadow Castle into a Town Hall Modular knock off. I can't wait to put the dragon head tower on top of this, where the clock tower was in the Town Hall. :) My Goal was to replicate ground floor facade of the castle. I ended up making the castle doors double wide. This was an early start that I abandoned, but recently picked up, which lead to the above staircase madness.
  9. Hi all, a while ago I was inspired by Panagliamp to create an Elves themed Mech, and I finally got round to it! It can operate autonomously... ...or it can be piloted. The idea is that it was an old goblin mining mech that Farran found and fixed up. Rear view. A bit messy now I look at it - might try and tidy it up... The main frame is sturdy and quite posable, but bits of plant/crystal tend to fall off. A lot. Targeting system deployed. View of the cockpit. It will (probably) be part of my larger Elves WIP. Comments and suggestions welcome, and thanks again to Panagliamp for the inspiration. (Sneak peek at my WIP...)
  10. On the northern slopes of Pikesteel Mountain, nestled among the trees that blanket its basalt crags and sandy gullies, a complex of ancient structures lay. Seemingly untouched by time, and well hidden from prying eyes, its pure white walls had sheltered generations of Great Elk clansmen when their forest homes were menaced by immeasurable threats, then sat unoccupied in times of peace. But in the wake of the devastation wrought in their lands by the Algus, the elves sought to keep a permanent presence in this haven. The Pikesteel dwarves, for their part, had never been able to find the stronghold on the borders of their domain. Thus, they regarded it as a rumor or legend, and were surprised when the elves requested it, and even more surprised when the elves showed it to them. Some among the dwarves argued that they should claim the fortress for their own, given its situation upon their own domain, yet when scouts were sent to find it without elven guides, the hapless dwarves searched the forest fruitlessly for several weeks before stumbling back through the gates of the mountain, perplexed and looking rather worse for wear. Still, the Pikesteel dwarves were eager to have an ally to shelter their northern flank, and so they ceded the land and even committed to aid the largely nomadic elves with settling into their new, well-fortified home. The expert dwarven craftsmen, guided by elven design sensibilities, seamlessly integrated the elves' improvements with the existing structures. In little time the numbers of the tribe swelled, their kinfolk flocking eagerly to the flourishing citadel, which they called Herfin Telosuren in their tongue, or the Haven of the Great Elk. Travelers pays their respects at an ancient shrine to a god whose name has long since been forgotten to these lands. Admiring the tribe's motif, newly affixed to the Great Tower. The elven chieftain thanks the leader of the dwarven craftsmen for his efforts. The fountain tower looks out over the forested slopes that descend to the great lakes and flat lands to the north.

    [MOC] Fean Walker

Hello Eurobricks! Here I present you a walker I made for my techno-fantasy project. It belongs to a technomagically advanced race called feans. Feanerys was once a prosperous planet inhabited by peaceful people. However, everything has changed when the armies of demons and their undead minions appeared. The feans desperately fought for years in forests and fungal swamps of Feanerys until their Queen decided to open a portal to another world and to leave the doomed homeland. And now they arrived on a new planet inhabited by humans, elves, dwarves and other races. They should unite with local population to make a last stand against the legions of Hell that are about to conquer the entire universe. Fean walkers were developed during the demon invasion on Feanerys and were based on civilian transport. Back in their world, they strode across forests and mushroom swamps and made sudden strikes at the invaders. Now one of these walkers serves in the squad of remaining survivors led by the Queen herself. The walker is painted in pastel pink and purple colors which are traditional for people of Feanerys: Its legs can turn and lift up: At the base of the walker there is a technomagical reactor which supplies the energy. The walker is armed with two cannons which fire ball-like projectiles: Within the projectiles there is hot plasma which is held by antithermal shell and powerful electromagical fields: Upon impact, the shell is torn apart, unleashing destruction on the target - for example - this giant undead spider: A fean pilot controls her walker with a control panel: The cockpit is protected by a windscreen, aided by technomagical force fields on the sides. The empty cockpit with a comfortable seat: The engine is located right behind the cockpit: Thank you for watching and reading! I hope you like this MOC! A bit more photos can be seen on my Flickr!
  12. Hi all, we've still got a way to go on our latest moc, but decided to have a bit of fun while we wait for bricklink orders to arrive. First attempt at anything like this, but we found it hilarious to make. Enjoy! (For anyone wondering, a Jammie Dodger is a kind of biscuit we have in the UK) (Edit: spelling)
  13. Elves in space! Surely that must be the next step in the evolution of the theme Two models are from the Classic Space range, the third you might recognize from another space theme. My biggest problem now is that I have more ideas than I have bricks in the right colours I don't think my daughter want me to take apart all of her sets.... 14. So, I've been pretty miffed about dolls since they came out. I actually was pretty interested in the friends set as a concept as there is a market for it, I just think the dolls were a misstep. Elves, on the otherhand, made dolls even more of a misstep, turning it into a tragedy. For background, I love fantasy, and I love Dungeons & Dragons, and Tolkien, you get the idea. For a while, we've been rather deprived of a proper fantasy setting, and I feel elves could have alleviated to downright fixing this problem. However, I feel that the potential of the theme was diminished when they decided that Dolls and the more 'cutesy' molds would be an integral part of the theme. I don't dislike, in fact I heavily approve of the color decisions, both from a moc perspective, and a theming one to depict a more fantastical and fey fantasy setting. Hell, I'll probably pick up these sets at some point when depicting my D&D groups going through the feywilds! The hair pieces they went with are perfect for stuff like Eldarin, Wood elves, and high elves, even more D&D style gnomes in their younger years (if you haven't picked up on it yet, I'm always hoping Hasbro sells of Wizards of the Coast so that LEGO has an excuse to pick up D&D as a theme!). But going back to the dolls themselves, they lack a great amount of customization (I'm pretty sure the forums have threads on this already), and I feel were a wasted opportunity for more minifigure designs: heads, torsos, legs, accessories, all muddled by introducing the dolls. At least the hair is compatible. I understand that LEGO is trying to vie for a share in the girl's toy market, but I feel that it's not the best way to go about it. For one, they isolate a lot of the LEGO market by using the dolls in the first place, as I know some AFOLs don't like using them as they have very little range of setting or look. Why did LEGO decided to place dolls in one corner of the market when they could have made a really appealing all-rounder simply by using regular minifigures and more interesting molds? Do the dolls have more fans than I give credit for? So, I guess the reason for posting this is, do you think LEGO will come out with a new fantasy set soon? I know Nexo Knights had a really small wave that probably marks its end (didn't keep up with news if it was cancelled or not), and how long is Elves lasting? Are they going to release more Tolkien universe sets with the new Netflix show? Are they ever going to make a new original IP or revive Castle in the near future? I'm not caught up in the current rumor mill or what's been revealed for next year, so I'm wondering if any of this has been addressed recently.
  15. BrickWarriors just released two new sets of custom accessories to bring your elves and dwarves to life! Elves - Helmet, Armor, Shield, Spear, Sword Dwarves - Helmet, Armor, Hammer Happy holidays everyone!
  16. Built on top of an old mine, this castley structure hides a dark dungeon beneath and behind the steps over flowing waters. Combo/ReBuild: Built using only parts from Goblin King's Fortress #41188 and Crystal Mine #41177. Water flows from the old mine cave under the Keep's steps -- with remnants of its past crystal days. From his throne room, Cronan activates the dark portal below to capture an arch enemy into his Dungeon. Who was sucked into the Dungeon through the portal? It's Farran - the earth Elf! The portal's power also pulled the baby earth dragon Floria into this dark underground hole. Farran is strapped onto a stretching rack -- all Cronan has to do is turn the crank with the grey knob and ... "aarrrghh!" He had a secret passage behind the fireplace built-in, so he could escape with coin and jewels. His faithful Shadow bird can use magic to see objects moving on the map near the Keep ... nothing gets by without notice. We can see the baby dragon is chained too!! Poor Farran has been stretched and still doesn't know what secrets Cronan wants! The entrance gate is kept locked. Can anyone help free Farran before the crazy knob cranks the chains even more?
  17. MOD of 41181 Naida's Gondola, with added parts from only 41193 Aira & the Song of the Wind Dragon and 41072 Naida's Secret Spa. Propeller power! Naida uses her compass and spyglass to plot a course, and magic water element to power her journey up the river. Relaxing while cruising along under the canopy -- enjoying her miniature cherry tree's fruit ... The propeller can be lifted out of the water for docking. With the propeller out of the water after docking her gondola, she takes some magic water for her journey ...
  18. WindGuardian Leviosah The protector of wind elements to ensure no one harness its power for evil. Speak her name twice quickly and she will vanish the evil act in a vacuum for all to see. Built with only parts from Elves 41193 Aira & the Song of the Wind Dragon -- of which I adore for the little music house on a cloud! My first ever statuette build. Thanks for meeting her!
  19. So I want to share my latest creation that I took up to Brickfair Virginia a week ago. It is my first real castle/fantasy build and will probably be divisive with some for the use of the Elves mini dolls, but I am okay with that :) Every time I build I try to do something that involves my kids and with a 9 year old daughter, her fascination with the Elves line led to building this. The idea is that this is a sea port where Elves from different kingdoms come and trade goods for Dragon eggs, which they return home with. we have the floating islands which serve as a nesting ground and other rooms, a main castle that has been reclaimed and is in the process of being remodeled and then an island that has a few buildings in it. Some of the figures themselves have been merged with Lego mini figure pieces and capes and hair to soften the cartoon look of the mini dolls. I hope you enjoy, it was a one and done at the show and I am in the process of disassembling most of the build so I can finally work on sorting my lego room...so that I can build a big castle next :) The Elvan Seaport of Elvadion by Martin Harris, on Flickr The Elvan sea port of Elvadion by Martin Harris, on Flickr The Elvan sea port of Elvadion by Martin Harris, on Flickr

  21. Some years ago my friend gifted me Bionicle set 8984 , and I had no idea what to do with it's bulky parts until I had enough pretty red and black brichs that I didn't use in other mocs. Espesially I like that three-leaf piece from one of goblin's plants, I wanted to have nice use of it. Also mecha MOCers like ChybbyBot inspired me very much, I wanted to try to make similar big creature and I had two fun evenings building this one :) To make a story behind I think this beast was builded by goblins for their king to fight Dragon Queen. But she is okay about it because good forces always win! :)
  22. Alright, where should I start? I've been leaving this place for quite a time, so I lost track with some of the old posts. But anyway, I think it might rather be simpler to put all things together in one thread. So I choose to slowly restart in this post from now on. Thanks to the help with a new local print provider, the newer redesigns has a better chance to improve (my decal skill is still awful ). As a new start, I begin with the original franchise with the minidoll lineup Friends, which just began a series of reboot design in this year. 23. Okay, so I've decided to take a shot at building a small village setup for the Lego Elves stuff I've got. The idea is to have a partitioned-off area of my city (maybe two if I add a Shadow World section) accessible only via the 'magic portal', which contains buildings and builds from the Elves theme. Should be fun, right? But I've got a small problem when it comes to the music shop included in 41193 The Song of the Wind Dragon (read 'Wind Wyvern'). It's different to the other buildings in that it's built to be a 'floating island' area, and this I should reflected in the fact that it's built on white plates to represent clouds and on top of terrain that's elevated and slanted to seem like floating islands with the lower part not visible. Which raises a question; how am I supposed to integrate this with the land-based buildings? So I'm opening the field to anyone who's encountered a similar problem and might have a solution. Anyone?
  24. Hello! I had enough minidoll doubles, and I there's not much citizens in my elven kingdom. Sets present some locations, but when main heroes go out, that places look abandoned. So I made some new characters to fix that :) Here's from left to right: Kauri, elf of air. He is happy owner of Farran's precious head and huge violet dreads :) He is crew of airship and Skyra's assistant. Rina, wood elf in armor. I think she is warrior of forest and goblins make her very angry. She constantly keeps her eyes for Treetop Hideaway. Limi, wood elf. Just a peace inhabitant in village with Secret Marketplace :) May be she is a gardener or works in fruit shop :) Flaria, fire elf and powerful magician, lives in the village. At first I wanted to make a male elf, but male head looks not good with Aira's hair. Other views: I added some details with milliput, it's very handy for such work, it don't need baking for hardening. For painting I use Citadel colors. Feel free to share this images anywhere :) P.S. I don't sure if I post it in right place of the forum :( But all discussions about Elves are here so I decided to do this way.
  25. After building some Elves sets, I decided to put my own little shop together from bulk pieces I purchased secondhand. There's not a lot for the interior, so I'm thinking this is more like a little roadside shop than a full building. Shop is run by Naida and a friendly little fox.
