  2. LEGO Friends Wheel Bucket Excavator Great Ball Contraption - the Friendly WBE way to move GBC balls It has been a while since I've made a GBC module. This is something fun for the LUG's upcoming event season. I've been sitting on an idea to use those "scoop" pieces in a GBC for a couple of years. The upcoming BWE finally kickstarted my bum to action. It took some trial and error to get them to work. I may have to do more tweaking once it starts going to events. As GBCers know, what works great at home, does not outside the home. Wheel Bucket Excavator GBC by dr_spock_888, on Flickr I still have to make a suitable ball receiving/loading bin. I am not sure the events GBC coordinators will let me use the lid from a take out order of french fries.
  3. Hi all, I'd like to introduce you an alternative build for the 42025 Cargo Plane: the Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) Cargo Plane. It's using only parts from the amazing 42025 Cargo Plane model. You can find the MOC details and building instructions at http://rebrickable.com/mocs/Shutterfreak/42025-model-c-vtol Above image is a LDD rendering. I eventually recreated the model with LDCad and produced instructions with LPub3D. The core design is the official 42025 A model (cargo plane), but I reused the linear actuators that lift the cockpit and the cargo bay and placed them in the engines to allow them to pivot between vertical position (take-off and landing) and horizontal position (cruising). The engines can be tilted while the propellers are running, which makes the VTOL operate as in reality. To demonstrate what this VTOL MOC can do, please check the following small YouTube video fragment: I know I should upload some more photos, I hope o find some time in the near future to do so. I hope you enjoy this MOC.

    [MOC] Steampunk AT-ST

Started doing MOCs a while back and pretty soon got really into the steampunk-theme (probably a few years after everyone else, but oh well... ). 7. This is my take on the 41174 Starlight Inn set that I picked up a few weeks ago. I'm normally not a big fan of sets and usually only sees them as parts pack but I liked the idea of this one. However, I didn't really like the use of some colours and wanted to use them more realistically, e.g. only green plants and leaves and keep the purple and pink for the interior. The structure is made to reflect the set with a kitchen and sitting room at the ground floor, and a bedroom and a balcony with a telescope on the upper floor, as well as the rounded window. No thought has been given to how this would go with whatever stories goes on at the Elves tv show, comics, books or whatever, I don't care about them at all. This is just my try to make a better inn that could go with the Elves minidolls. Thanks for watching! /Etzel

    [MOC] Fabuland Office

Hello! I do not have many bricks, because i am a minifig collector, but i love Fabuland- so i wanted to build something for Frank Fox (my Fabu SigFig/ mini- me). This is what i came up with. Planning to do more Fabuland. [I didn't make a MOC in the past few years. Some years ago i remember creating some kind of pirate ship, but other than that i only built stuff more than ten- fifteen years ago. When i was a child i mainly built spaceships.] The original version: IMG_20160401_110852 by Erhard Maas, on Flickr IMG_20160401_111102 by Erhard Maas, on Flickr The updated version: IMG_20160806_103110 by Erhard Maas, on Flickr IMG_20160806_103324 by Erhard Maas, on Flickr IMG_20160806_103228 by Erhard Maas, on Flickr
  9. Hi there, it's Ryan Smith from Adelaide in Australia. I'm back from hiatus to bring you something new-n-tasty! A box of delicious looking (non-edible) chocolates to tempt either a hungry chocolate fanatic or ideally, this makes a great gift for Mother's Day, Father's Day, Get Well, Christmas, etc. There are 36 kinds in total that consist of milk chocolate, white, dark and a combination of milk/white. Some appear to have cream fillings in them but don't let them fool you! This one is generally for display purposes or if you desire, you can switch out the brick-built chocs for Real Edible Ones! 11. Seats: 1x Batman (Adam West.) My aim was to pack as much detail as possible whilst still having clarity and simplicity into the model without having additional weight to the model e.g. height and length. Two aspects of the model wouldn't have made the outcome as accurate those are the '6141554 - Plate 2X2 27 Deg' and '6141556 - Right Plate 2X2 27Deg' for the front and rear of the model. Additionally the featured stickers are from '75909 - McLaren P1' which add the iconic front details. Ironically they are perfectly shaped for this Batmobile. 12. Hello All, Longtime Lurker with very few posts, so if I have done something wrong here, please let me know. The following is a look at the town my daughter and I have put together. This is what we like to refer to as Dagaville "main street". Like the title says, this is most definitely a work in progress. You will notice a lot of blank spaces, those will be filled with future builds and official Lego Modulars. Some of the intersection baseplates will also be swapped out for straight ones when next I have a chance to get to a Lego store (the nearest is an 8 hour drive away). Next up is a "street view" at the end of main street: The first buildings here are the Highlander Pub and Al's barber. I hope to get another DO in the near future and expand the pub and turn the second floor into a microbrewery and ditch the detective agency all together and move the barber across the street and expand that as well. The main street's major intersection comes complete with traffic lights (although after taking the pictures I noticed my daughter has the vehicles driving UK style, but didn't switch the lights: The highlight of the intersection is the music shop (modified grand emporium), which as you can see (like you'll see with most of the buildings) is not quite finished with some pieces missing (future bricklink orders): The first floor is the record shop: Second floor is the instrument shop: And the top floor is the recording studio. The empty square room in the top right of the picture will have a drum set in it: Diagonally across the intersection is the fire hall. As with most buildings here you will notice it has no roof, this is for play purposes (plus some of the ones that did have a roof kept getting wrecked by my 7 year old twin boys, so I finally just said screw it, no roofs!!): The main entrance: A closeup of the lions heads: and a top-down view of the fire hall: Across the street from the fire hall you will find a pet store with a movie theatre beside it and a cafe/diner beside that: theatre closeup: Theatre top-down view (3 theatres all in different states of being finished): Top-down view of cafe/diner: to the right of the pet shop is a side street that has a vet clinic and some residential (the yellow house will be replaced by another brownstone but mirrored), and I have yet to purchase another road baseplate to finish it off: Vet clinic closeup: top-down view: Beside the fire hall is a train station converted into a bus station with a green space in behind it. the playground is just a prototype with the slide and the bridge being the only permanent pieces: Beside the the bus station is the Police station, also not quite finished and no roof (in some parts) for play purposes. To the right of the station (where you can see a jumble of vehicles) will be another garage for the patrol cars. The current garage is where the prisoner transport vehicles park and unload the crooks: top-down view: Back view of jail cells, break room, and chief's office: Across from the police station is the gas station which I reverse engineered and modified from a picture I saw on flickr which some here might recognize: Top-down view. The yellow bricks are a pop cooler. Beside that is a slurpee machine. In the corner by the door is an ice cream cooler (and a fallen flag from the roof, oops!!) and outside just visible in the window are oil containers. The tall green and white thing beside the building is the propane tank: There is another side street on this end of main street: Which features a juice bar/bakery and will also have a small recycling center across the street in behind the gas station: top-down view: Well, that is it for now. There is room for 6 32x32 size buildings and and 4 16x32 size buildings on the table i built to house our town, so lots more room for new modulars!! Thanks for viewing!!
  13. With the recent release of The Force Awakens, the seventh installment to the Star Wars Franchise (If you haven't heard of TFA, I wouldn't be surprised, almost no advertising and no merchandise was made for the movie), fans have been in love with the newest droid, BB-8. The new look to the droid caused many Lego builders to desire their own, and HenrikLego did just that. Totaling at nearly 11K pieces, Henrik built an enormous droid for a local theater of his, and even included the local community of AFOLs with an LDD file for it. His original topic for this MOC is here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=116949&st=0 After seeing it, I immediately wanted one of my own. After an incredibly long and difficult debate with my wallet, I decided to pursue my own BB-8. Using the LDD File, I generated a parts list for bricklink totaling 10,909 pieces. I looked over the parts needed for this and took note of some of the nuisances. White Brick 2 x 4 (1184 needed) - The part itself is not all that rare, but getting it in new condition (Getting White Bricks in used condition is a nightmare) in that quantity was a challenge. It ultimately ended up costing me 25 cents per brick. White Plate 1 x 2 (1385 needed) - Also very difficult to get in large quantities, but I managed to find it for about 10 cents per piece. White Plate 1 x 3 (527 needed) - It always seems like 1 x 3 plates are a pain to obtain, this was the case here. About 15 cents per piece. Orange Plate 1 x 8 (25 needed) - I did not imagine this piece being very rare, but I ended up placing about 5 orders for it, despite it being cheap. About 10 cents per piece. White Plate 4 x 10 (24 needed) - The large quantity drove the price way up. 48 cents per piece. White Plate 2 x 2 Corner (374 needed) - Once again a hard to find piece that I never would picture as rare. About 12.5 cents per piece. That rounds out the worst bricks and pieces for me, the rest are not very difficult to find, but prepare yourself for about 11 cents per piece, I optimized smaller amount of orders over saving a few cents per piece because shipping charges really drive up the final price. To date I am glad to say that I have ordered all 10,909 pieces, just waiting for them to arrive. However, I have not started designing a desert base for BB-8, I need to work on this ASAP. Once the pieces come in, I of course will have to count them (I am not looking forward to this at all, but more and more it seems that bricklink sellers don't have the ability to count) and check off that everything is in my possession, including parts for a base. I hope to keep you guys updated as much as possible throughout this process, but for now I need to explain to my wallet why an enormous chunk was taken out of it.

    [MOC/MOD] Joker's Funhouse

Hi all, when the Joker Land set was announced last year i was hoping for a great accompaniment to the dynamic duo set from 2012. unfortunately i thought some elements were a bit weak and I didn't like that all of the parts/sections were separated. I decided to take elements and parts from both sets and combine them on one 32x32 base plate, i also wanted to make it look as chaotic as possible and avoid areas looking too neat and tidy... this was also so that it would fit inside my detolf glass display case. anyway here is the current state of the MOD/MOC, i may make further changes to add more elements but its pretty crammed. let me know what you think or any changes you would make :)

    Doctor Who Diorama

So, a couple of months ago I started building a new TARDIS console room, just to see if I could get a working time rotor going up and down in the middle of it (turns out I can). And, well, the project . . . grew somewhat. I still need to invest in some proper lamps but I've done my best to photograph it with the current sunny weather (well, sunny intervals - it is a Bank Holiday) to share with you all. I do hope you enjoy it - I've thrown in as many references as I could fit to all sorts of Doctor Who stories in every medium. Doctor Who Diorama by Librarian-Bot, on Flickr You've had the place redecorated . . . by Librarian-Bot, on Flickr Dress for the occasion by Librarian-Bot, on Flickr Both the Doctor's and the Master's TARDISes are separate modules - took me a while to work out how best to fit them together. The Master's TARDIS by Librarian-Bot, on Flickr And to think it all started as a mild curiosity in a junk yard . . . Just a battered old Police Box by Librarian-Bot, on Flickr As a bonus, here's a little Cyber Tomb-ette using those lovely, lovely (seriously, I need more) Cybermen figures. Modular Cyber Tomb by Librarian-Bot, on Flickr More images and all Doctor Who related MOCs on my flickr can be found here. General housekeeping: I can't claim any credit for the 9th and 10th Doctor figs since I've seen some fairly similar combinations knocking around but I haven't seen the 7th and 8h done this way before. There are two modified pieces in this MOC - a Batman torso with the bat symbol markered over and a crowbar piece scarified for the sake of art. Do let me know what you think!

  18. Hello, Today I present my first MOC I am posting on Eurobricks:- "In the wilderness of Kashyyyk". The idea behind the MOC was to create a "slice" of the world that is Kashyyyk. I've chosen a bright colour scheme to work with as I feel it keeps the MOC rather upbeat as opposed to a fairly dark colour scheme which may be more accurate but more gloomy. Anyway, here is an overview shot. 20160327_130539 by badgersdontvote, on Flickr A reverse shot of the scene. 20160327_130513 by badgersdontvote, on Flickr From the foliage near the river. 20160327_130826 by badgersdontvote, on Flickr Without the figs. 20160327_125217 by badgersdontvote, on Flickr From the back 20160327_125245 by badgersdontvote, on Flickr Thank you for looking, I hope I have formatted the pictures correctly and to an appropriate size. Italian Locomotive Class E326

Hi train lovers. I open this topic to present to You and promote my Italian locomotive E326. Italian Locomotive Class E326 by Cristiano Grassi, su Flickr More than one year ago I launched it on Lego Ideas (here is the link if You want to support the project https://ideas.lego.com/projects/134535) as a digital project. It ends its first year with 279 supports. Bad result. But during this year I was ordering the parts from Bricklink to build the locomotive. So I decided to relaunch the project. It takes 252 supports in 15 days. A better start. I build it with some changes because some parts are very difficult to find and some don't exist in the colors that I need. And yes, I've Painted the Windows because I want this type on the locomotive. Lego Ideas allows submitting existing parts in new colors. I normally don't paint Lego. (And this is an opportunity to have them in reddish brown) My english is not good, so here are some photos.. Italian Locomotive Class E326 by Cristiano Grassi, su Flickr Italian Locomotive Class E326 by Cristiano Grassi, su Flickr Italian Locomotive Class E326 by Cristiano Grassi, su Flickr Italian Locomotive Class E326 by Cristiano Grassi, su Flickr Italian Locomotive Class E326 by Cristiano Grassi, su Flickr Italian Locomotive Class E326 by Cristiano Grassi, su Flickr Italian Locomotive Class E326 by Cristiano Grassi, su Flickr The locomotive is made with 670 parts. It runs good on curves, but it's not motorized. I know I'm a beginner with trains and surely not an expert like the most on this forum, but I've try to do my best here. And I know Ideas probably will never produce a locomotive, but many supports can encourage Lego to produce new locomotives. You can see complete photo gallery here https://www.flickr.c...s/vedosololego/ I hope You like and support this and my other projects on Ideas. Thanks

    [MOC] Super Speedway

Hi All, Here is a build I've made for this year's Sydney Brick Show. All ready to go with a few weeks to spare :) This build was my car mad son's request. Taking me away from my castle comfort zone but a lot of fun to build. More photos up on flickr https://www.flickr.c...th/25953496801/ Thanks

    [MOC] AT-RT

Hey Eurobricks! Here is my newest creation, the All Terrain Recon Transport. I was unsatisfied with all of Lego's versions, so I made my own. Enjoy! Gree would be proud! by Sir Nagol, on Flickr Here is an updated version that allows the rider to sit down. Someone suggested that I replace the blaster with an antenna, which I think is a great idea! 22. This is probably one of the most ridiculous MOCs to be posted here, but it is a combiner of two Toa models from 2015... Lets just say it is a combiner of the two Toa who would least like to be stuck with one another; let alone sharing the same body! Give it up for, Tapaka! Or maybe it is Kopakahu? Or just Kopaka and Loser? Walking must be a chore, especially since it seems Tahu controls one half and Kopaka the other. Looks like Tahu wants to go somewhere Kopaka doesn't... Looks like the argument is heating up and, OHHHH! Ouch, Tahu has thrown a fist into Kopaka's face! Kopaka strikes back with his spear! How will these two ever learn to get along? Are they destined to be the most powerful TwoToa ever? Or are they doomed to become the stars of: Kopaka the Cold Toa 3: Civil War. (Or maybe it should be called Kopaka vs Tahu: Dawn of TwoToa-ness, I don't know...) Hope you enjoyed this silly combiner model! I would like to see what other Twotoa the members on this forum can come up with!
  23. Hey all I have a quick question about the mindstorm sensors. I would like to incorporate the colour sensors into my elevator to use as a reference so the lift knows where to stop.. I will put one sensor in the lift and a light or colour at each floor, I would like to know if I can use the mindstorm sensors directly with the power function motors or if id have to build something separate to turn the PF motors on off etc. I would also like to use this sensor in a similar way to open the powered door operator on the lift for 10 seconds or so, Its taken me a long time to get these power function motors to fit and work properly so I dont want to swap them out for the mindstorm motors. Any advice/help would be really appreciated, I'm considering buying the ev3 set but dont want to unless im certain it can help. a video if you want know what im talking about thanks all trav

    Working Elevator

Hi all, Its not exactly a city but its a building you put into a city.. I've been working on it for a fair while now, mostly its just the elevator shaft with some of the buildings first floor complete, I hope to get this around 10 stories tall fully furnished with offices and conference rooms etc. It works really well the doors are electric and are a copy of how a real elevator works.. as close as i could get it anyway. Its roped like a real elevator and has a counterweight (which still needs more weight in it, I am waiting on 5 more boat weights to even it out). I'm planning on putting a mindstorm colour sensor into the elevator to get it to stop at the right spot at every level.. I've never used the mindstorm gear so I'd love to know if anyone has any ideas on this and I'm also trying to work out a way to incorporate call buttons without putting a push sensor at every level.. Ideas would be appreciated! I dont want to go out and buy an entire mindstorm set unless I know its going to help.. Anyway thats my "city" lol, thanks for your time:) Here's a vid of the elevator being built, enjoy! Trav.
  25. This is the second iteration of "The Bat" that I built. It features an opening cockpit, room for 2 minifigs, movable engine pods, moving rear flaps, and spinning propellers. The most challenging aspect of designing and building it was trying to capture the shape of all the panels on the top and rear of the vehicle.
