    [MOC] TIE Emancipator

Hey guys! Today I have my latest MOC, the TIE Emancipator. I made this guy when I was experimenting with some tie fighter designs. The wings are a mix of the Tie defender and Darth Vader's Tie. I took a lot of inspiration from Cornwaille's amazing Tie designs, but there are some changes I want to make to make it more in line with 9492. I've finally managed to make renders without making tons of changes. I've also made up a little story to go along with this guy. Lastly, here is the LFX file: New Tie 2.lxf All pics are on my Flickr. Enjoy! The TIE Emancipator was a TIE variant developed shortly after the Battle of Endor, originally intended as as a successor to the TIE Defender, but evolved into it's own fighter. The TIE Emancipator was a heavy fighter / assault craft, boasting 2 light guns, 4 medium guns, 2 heavy cannons, and 2 concussion or proton missile launchers. It could also be outfitted to carry proton torpedoes and proton bombs, depending on the mission. The Emancipator carried heavy shields, but no hyperdrive, since it was intended to work in atmosphere or around capital ships if needed. The Emancipator had the same engines as the TIE Interceptor, but heavily modified to match the speed the TIE Interceptor could output. The Emancipator saw great success as a ground attacker, being able to rip apart rebel bases with ease. As a fighter, it also saw success, but not as great as the other fighters in the Empire's arsenal. It did better at a capitol ship attacker than a dedicated fighter. Although it's success, they're were only a few thousand ever created, joining the group of Imperial fighters that were too few, to late. Sorry for the huge story guys, now onto the fighter itself! Thanks! Any comments are welcome, so say what you like about this guy!
  2. I need this part (4596 Lever Small Base) disconnected from this. In LDD I can only get them connected (like this one), and I don't know if it is possible to seperate them? I need the base part for eyes in a model, so it will look a bit strange if I can't get them seperated. Any help is appreciated!
  3. Hi guys! Here's my first tutorial for animating in LDD, for starters I focused on basic tools and settings in LDD.
  4. The Fondorian at the reception told us his employer was inspecting his mine. The officer I accompany just had to lower his eyebrows a bit to convey he was in a hurry. One of the mine’s hover platforms was assigned to us promptly. Your average platform. Average enough for me to pilot it. I was brought to make sure we didn’t need any unwanted guests. That would only complicate things. So now I’m flying this primitive platform around on this primitive facility. This place where they never end scraping the skin of the planet, to dump it in great piles, in search of whatever preciousness they may find. Because war’s hunger for construction materials is never satisfied. So they dig, dump and search. No need for fancy, clean equipment. The planet doesn’t charge tax for keeping it clean anyway… Between this chain of dusty mountains, inhabited by dirty excavators and with conveyors for trees, a bold white figure stands out. This vision of neatness in all of this toxic chaos. The officer has no doubt is the boss of this mine, inspecting the premises. We’re about in hearing range. [soNE Ep. VI] 2 - Worse than war by Bert.VR, on Flickr “The bounty hunter Boba Fett frequents this place” It wasn’t even a question. “Tell us what you know of him” “No one knows him. How could I help my friends of the Empire?” “Tell us everything, or we’ll make this official” The Fondorian seems the kind of businessman to understand what this implies. “Well, I don’t know him. Not beyond the point of his business. I can’t really say he works for me, but let me say I give him… inspiration. From time to time, when my sales aren’t increasing, I give him ideas what to do. War is great for business, you know. Because war brings fear, and fear brings the want for protection. And for that, you need materials. But war seems such a far-off thing for some people. The fear disappears. The money disappears. So we need to get war back to those people” “And that’s what you need the bounty hunter for” “He eliminates certain well-chosen targets. He destroyers certain facilities. But that’s something every bounty hunter can do. But to make the people believe it were the Rebels, you need the best. You need the best to frighten people with their own illusions, to make them feel unsafe, to make them long for protection, to make them buy, whether they really need it or not. There’s nothing wrong with a bit of terror. On the contrary. It’s good for commerce. And it keeps people awake, always on the lookout for the enemy. And it keeps people asleep, not complaining – this world is perfect, as long as they keep those Rebels outside. That’s why you Imperials let me do this off the books. You’ve known this for ages. But why this sudden interest?” “The bounty hunter was here recently. For a job of you” “People in the junkyards of Ord Mantell seem to think they have nothing to lose. They think everything there has been destroyed already. It was time to make them see that differently. And the loss of a concurrent won’t hurt business” These last words can only faintly be heard from the platform I’m steering back to our ship. But that doesn’t stop me of feeling a deep disgust. Of this man in whose mind resonates only the vocabulary of commerce. It’s not about the planet he is poisoning, it’s about the resources. It’s not about the fear people experience, it’s about what makes them hunger for those resources. Using war as a lucrative selling strategy. Using terror as marketing. There are no casualties, only losses of clients. I thought war was the worst thing imaginable. But people fighting a war are no villains. They want to end the war as soon as possible, in their favour. They are no villains compared to these… They don’t want the war to end. They want it to go on, to be everywhere, to destruct everything as long as it is profitable. This is not a human. This is not even a machine. But these villains could be stopped. If there was no cause, if there were no means to accomplish their goals. War gives them the ideas. And scum like bounty hunters, like Boba Fett, give them the opportunity. He doesn’t question what he’s doing. He can say he’s just the blaster in another’s hand. And he is right. The blaster never questions the actions of that hand. The killing is not his responsibility. But the blaster gave every one the opportunity to murder without having the need of the courage to look into the victims eyes. The blaster invites the user to use it, to kill. And so it is with the bounty hunter. The killer doesn’t even have to see his victim, he never has to touch a weapon. Boba Fett can say he hasn’t killed a soul in his life. But he offers the possibility. And should he who offers the opportunity be a bit less despicable than he who takes it? I never liked the bounty hunter, but now I’m utterly disgusted by him. _____________ LDD File to be found here. I really wanted to go for a different side of Fondor for this one, vast and dirty. I had a lot of fun with the bucket conveyor and the platforms, but the heap of dirt proved to be very difficult, both due to the shape and to the limited amount of bricks in dark orange. I hope you like the way it turned out (with a lot of studs!). It was quite impossible to contain it to the 16x16 base, so I hope the judges are okay with a one stud overhang of some plates. I also had to make the decorations for the torsos of the officer and the pilot. They can be found in this album, if anyone would want to use them for their renders. I hope you like this installment! Comments are always welcome!
  5. I just made these decals for my avatar, and figured I might as well post them if anyone wants them . All of the decals are not to the correct scale, dimensions, or cropping, since I made these specifically for LDD specifications. Feel free to correct the decals to the correct specifications and post them here . Picture 1 - Picture 2 Head Torso Left Arm Right Arm Waist Left Leg Right Leg
  6. Hi, I'm having trouble with LDD on my family computer- After I start it, the loading screen comes up, the bar fills up and then it just crashes. It disappears from Task manager as well. I've already tried all the instructions I found here, I reinstalled the program, deleted the folders, edited the preferences file, updated both Direct X and nVidia drivers, but nothing worked. As for the PC, it's running Windows 7 Home Premium, 32bit on AMD Sempron 145, 2GB RAM, nVidia Point of View GeForce GT 610. Another thing, however- as I've mentioned, this is a family computer- I'm in college and LDD works just fine on my own PC, but I came home a few days ago and tried to set up LDD for my little brother, however, as my family isn't really that good with computers, I have no idea what kind of junk they might have installed or what they could have messed up in this last year while I was in college... So, uh, any other ideas on what might be causing this?

  8. LDD/MLCad 13C Ahoy, gentlemen of fortune and guards of the brick seas. I haven't been on the forum for a long time and now looked over all your creations - they are just magnificent, all of them! I still feel myself like a novice in lego-building.. Anyway, Dunkleosteus' Shipyards are back with this harsh lady. Сonstructed a month ago, only now she has come under your considerate professional eyes. I think this is my last ship based on the prehab hull technology - this method imposes too many limitations. There are 3 type of cannons: - lightweight culverins - heavy carronades - long-range cannons Also you can see a mortar boat on board Maybe later, if I would find a possibility of rendering, the another ship, unusual and frightening, will drop anchor in the bay so that everyone can enjoy its menacing shape Thank you very much for your attention!
  9. OK, I'm starting a new topic on bugs in LDD 4.3.8. Anything may be posted, just as long as you look back to make sure it hasn't been posted already. And as always, kid appropriate. No swearing!

    [MOC] Rocket Racer 3.0

This is how I would imagine Rocket Racer if he came back in a LEGO Racers 3 video game. Tap or click any image to enlarge it. This model is almost buildable in real life. Unfortunately, those angled brackets near the front don't come in blue and white yet. In the meantime, you can enjoy the LXF file, or browse the Brickshelf gallery. -Toa Of Justice
  11. Hey everyone, So, I have a little issue with LDD's latest update(s). Every time I open LDD, it keeps installing the same, slow update (37.68MB, followed by a 36.40MB one, then a 36.18MB one and a 39MB one) and, yet, I don't receive any new elements. In fact, I haven't received many of the new elements that others have apparently received (HF minifigure pieces, Bad Cop's blaster, etc.). Has anyone else had this problem, or have any ideas or suggestions? Thanks

    MOC Orange Robot

Well, Hello everyone! I'm brand spanking new here, so if I'm doing anything wrong, please tell me! I've been lurking for several years now so I have sort of an idea of how things go here? Anyway, on to the topic at hand. I was fiddling with some orange curved bits I have, I think they were armor plates from this set, and thought they would make interesting legs for some sort of robot. So I loaded up LDD and put this together. Say hello to the very creatively named Orange Robot! He's very orange and looks a bit like he's wearing MC Hammer pants. What do you guys think of him? I'm sorry if I'm not supposed to post photos from LDD.
  14. Hello, Eurobricks Technic, Mindstorms and Model Team! I have been without internet for some time, and just logged into Eurobricks again. I cannot embed an image, so here is the image location on postimage org: I am Kieran Chamberlain, and I present to you a rendering of a Harley Davidson custom designed using LDD that I will be building soon. It is my first LDD to POVRAY rendering, and uses the default render settings. The tyres in the render are for representation only, the real model will have tyres synthesized from pnuematic tubing, etc. 98% complete, It comprises a heady 3000+ parts at 65cm length, with the following functional features: -45 degree single cam V-twin engine with two pushrod operated valves per cylinder -Front and rear brakes with hand and foot controls -Springer front suspension -Foot gearshifter with nuetral and first gear -9v motor in gearbox, battery pack disguised as oil tank -Steering Enjoy!
  15. I have been waiting for pics or instructions to surface online if this model, as well as, the Batmobile and The Ghost. Earlier today, I came across a time-lapse video build of Rockets Warbird and built it in LDD. Uploaded to Brickshelf, feel free use and build it, when modded. Should be right, this model is 141 pieces, when you include the 4 pieces to build Rocket, that gives you the 145 pieces stated on the box. Let me know if you find The Ghost or The Batmobile. Thanks, Jamie
  16. Hello, CC small on Flickr For some time that I wished to build a real convertible. Well, I did not manage to hide a real removable roof in the back, but I am not dissatisfied with the result. Anyway, there is already a V6 engine in the trunk. LXF File - Here is the roof design. What do you think about? Thanks.
  17. This is my custom device dock that can hold both my iPod touch and my Windows Phone at once--hence the name iWin. Tap or click any picture to enlarge it. In the front, there are two arms that ratchet down to prevent the device in the lower dock from tipping over when in a vertical orientation. In the rear, there is a knob that can adjust the angle of the iWin's rear frame. All 4 wheels can be unlocked (by pulling out the black bushing pins) for rolling around, or locked in place to act as rubber feet. The iWin can lean back very far, but there are a couple of angled TECHNIC beams that prevent the iWin from collapsing under the weight of any devices it is holding. Those beams also restrict the maximum vertical angle of the iWin. From left to right: iWin holding my Windows Phone (a Nokia Lumia 920 for those interested), iWin holding my 5th-gen iPod touch with an official LEGO case, and iWin holding both of my devices. All of the above pictures (except for the one in which the iWin is leaning back--I used my Lumia 920's own camera for that picture) were taken using a GoPro Hero3+ Silver Edition camera that I won in a sweepstakes. LXF File (current version) LXF File (old prototype, version 1) LXF File (old prototype, version 2) Brickshelf Gallery Bonus: I made a special stand for my iPod touch that attaches to its LEGO case. (These pictures were also taken with the 920's own camera.)
  18. Greetings to all! After seeing the great „50 states in lego form” project, I decided to make one for my country, Hungary, with the 19 counties we have. I wanted only to share it on Hungarian forums, since many of the references I made are not even possible to explain for “outsiders”. But the teaser photo I uploaded was spotted by Eurobrick member Kristel, so the cat was out of the bag and I decided to post here those counties that I have a chance to explain. Those are mainly cover Hungarian traditions. The post have several links to show, what I am talking about J I hope you enjoy! Bács-Kiskun There are sand dunes in Hungary. MOC: Multi-Mover

Let's face it, walking mechs suck. They're unstable, they break down easily, and they cost more to repair. That's why we designed the new 69-series Multi-Mover, the wheeled mech that rolls right over the competition. You can't beat the Multi-Mover for mobility. Many wheeled mechs have trouble taking ramps without overbalancing or losing control, but our patented, fully-articulated leading truck guides the Multi-Mover smoothly over or around any sort of obstacle. When the end of the shift comes around, you're bound to want a bite to eat. Most companies make you leave your lunchbox behind, but the Multi-Mover comes complete with a dedicated secure niche for lunchboxes, or any other cargo you should want to store on board. Our innovative cockpit design allows full 360-degree view of your surroundings, vital when working in a busy warehouse or conducting salvage work on an inhospitable world. And when everything goes terribly wrong, you can rocket away to safety thanks to the built-in propulsion and detachable control platform. No other design can match the reach, range of motion, and sheer strength of the Multi-Mover's fork arm. You'll be able to add whole new levels to your storage shelves! Not every package can be handled by forks, though. For those who deal with M:Tron, we've included a magnetic gripper, and the Multi-Mover has one of our patented grabbers for those awkward packages nothing else will grip. Rest assured, the 69-series Multi-Mover will see you through thousands of hours of heavy hauling. And if it fails, we offer a five-Earth year unlimited warranty. Simply place the Multi-Mover back in its shipping crate and send it back to us with a note detailing the problem, and we'll deliver a replacement within 48 standard hours! So don't wait, visit www.spyriusindustries.com and make a purchase your employees and your banker will thank you for. And, to make it easier for you to put the Multi-Mover to work for you today, for a limited time only we are offering special easy-payment plans to suit your cash flow needs. Spyrius: You need it, we'll get it. (NOTE! This thread is a response to Lind Whisperer's Neo-Classic Space Loadlifter Mech. Anybody got a good idea for a Blacktron industrial mech? How about M:Tron? Or Ice Planet? Maybe Unitron? Bring it on! The cornier, the better.)
  20. I recreated the SDCC 1966 Batmobile from the one picture that is available, and than extended it to it's proper size. The included figs are the ones from the Juniors set. I have no clue what the real back looks like, so I guessed... if anyone has it could they please take a shot of the back of the model? Thanks in advance! I'm 99% sure Batman and Robin will fit... the cape won't allow me to put them in their spots in LDD. LDD file: http://www.mocpages....1406164535m.lxf What do you think?

    [moc] LL-129 'CORVUS'

I'm loving the current "classic space" trend (Benny/ exosuit) and felt it was time to start expanding my NCS fleet. Presenting the concept plans for my next Federation starfighter: LL-129 'CORVUS' Hoping to have this one "brick-built" soon, hope everyone likes it! - As always feedback appreciated.
  22. Since the advent of Benny's Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP! and (soon) LEGO Ideas Exosuit, It seems Classic Space with it's blue/grey/yellow colour scheme and logo is having a great comeback from the 70'ties. Apparently, the Classic Space Madness has also claimed me and my trusty copy of Lego Digital Designer, because I have remade one of my old spaceships to fit in the theme . And so, without any more ado, Ladies and Gentlebricks, I present to you, The N30-C5 Class Gunship: A fine vessel, Isn't she? Please note that It's a NEO Classic-Space MOC, built with many parts that weren't even in concept stage at the Classic Space era. For example the gargantuan canopy, covering the cockpit. Now Speaking of Cockpit...... Here it is, In all it's Trans-Yellow glory, there's a lot of place for the Pilot, the Captain, and an abundance of controlls and blinking lights. Behind Commanders chair, There's a Cargo Bay, and behind it we have...... GUNNERY STATIONS! These twin side cannons are operated by two crew members, and can swivel and rotate. Now I'm thinking, that With some modificatons (adding small rear thrusters), they could be used as detachable scout speeders. These dual plasma cannons can pack quite a punch to some Blacktron ship's hull, but they aren't the most powerful weapon on deck, which is.... The Ion Turret, Here in the delicate female hands of the First Officer. It's devastating firepower (for a gunship, of course), and 360 degrees rotation range, makes N30-C5 a flying space tank. This beastie, if charged to maximum power, can put a hole through a Fregate, but it's better to be careful, and not overcharge it. Other weapons include Flick Fire Torpedoes, Repulsors, Wing guns, and more, to cope with any situation. And no, the blue dome under the trans-yellow dome is not a astromech droid, it's the power shield generator, where do you think we are, Tatooine? ANYWAY, Lets talk about how this beauty moves across the outer space..... And Here we are, at the stern. The imposing Main engine is a masterpiece of engineering, and, It's also equipped with hyperdrive, I won't bore you with numbers and technical mumbo-jumbo, Just want to tell you that this monstrosity of a thruster is powered by a cold fusion reactor, which grants enough speed to flee away from a cluster of Insectoid fighters, not to mention Spyrius Interceptors... Despite It's vast arsenal and thick, titanium alloyed armour, N30-C5 still can meet a tougher adversary. This one particularly has many battle scars and bruises, but this gaping hole through which the reactor is peeking out is a serious problem. It got blown up by some rogue extra-terrestial saucer's blaster. Let's hope that necessary repairs are made as soon as possible. Now, who want's to see the inside of the ship? So, here it is, bird's-eye shot of the ship with removed roof. You can see the cockpit, the cargo bay & weapon storage, the gunnery station, and the reactor chamber. There's a lot of mercantile in the hold, mainly energy crystals traded from a remote M-Tron colony, and alien fossils excavated by some Explorien scientists. You can also see the maintenance robot, recharging it's battery, in other words SLACKING OFF. Get back to work you lazy piece of scrap! That hole in the reactor chamber won't patch itself! Finally, meet the Intrepid Crew! From Left to Right: Captain, Pilot, First Officer, two Gunners, and our lazy robot friend (Sorry for shouting at you, buddy ). I hope you Liked my little trbute to classic Lego Space theme. Goodbye, and have a good day fellow AFOLs. Eggy's out. PS. To any mods around, If my Images are too big please resize them.

    LDD MOC: Boeing 717

Due to financial restrictions, I can't build real models as of yet, so LDD will have to do, I've made several things in the past but this is the first time I decided to showcase a model online Being an aviation fan, I decided to build an airliner using a combination of the big '<insert that tiresome argument>' parts for the cockpit and tail-cone and smaller parts for the wings and tailplane. It contains more details than you would get in a typical CITY set, it has obvious cockpit and passenger seating put it also contains separate first and economy (known as coach class in America), folding seat for a flight attendant, fully featured galley and a bathroom in the tail-cone (not pictured). Also not pictured is inverted roof pieces used to represent overhead compartments (although these make it difficult for minifigs to fit in comfortably) and clocks hanging from the ceiling in the aisle Constructive criticism is encouraged and accepted. 717.lxf

    [WIP] Imperial Shuttle

A little while back, I was working on modding 7166-1 in LDD, which led me to build a new cockpit, which I posted here. Since then, I decided I should make a new body for the shuttle, as the original started to look bad with the new cockpit on it. The project as a whole is a little further along than in the pictures, with custom wings already built, but I thought that some input would be helpful. A few shortcomings that I have encountered so far are that there will likely be no room for any figs, which is a let down. A prime example of why I decided to post here. besides that, the whole building style is very odd, and may not hold up in real life, as there is no physics in LDD. At this point in the build, I'm kinda stuck. Studying the build will be my main priority for now. Until then, here are the pictures! I would add the LDD file, but it is too big for this sites uploader. Any help on that? Front view, showing off the cockpit and the body. The wings aren't attached for now, but will be soon. 3/4 shot, showing off the rest of the body. The top fin area comes straight off the TLG version, but could change in the future. Lastly, the back. I haven't decided what to do about it yet, as I'm not sure of the playability of the model. I may end up adding a door, or just sealing it off. Any C&C welcome, as well as suggestions on how to improve the model.
