    [MOC] Turaga Vakama

"New legends awake, but old lessons must be remembered. This is the way of the Bionicle." +=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+ Hey guys. I've started to do a new project: building the Matoran and Turaga from G1. Or at least most of them. A shoutout to CallanLof for the hand design. He does some cool Bionicle stuff, so you might want to check him out. C&C most certainly welcome!

    [MOC] Toa Cetro and Dendro

TOA CETRO AND DENDRO A 2016-esque revamp of my 2015 MOC, Cetro. While Cetro does have an animal companion in the form of Dendro, the two don't "unite" like this year's Toa do with the elemental creatures. Cetro uses my TW2 gearbox design. Toa Mata Revamps

It's been a long time coming, but I've finally completed my Toa Mata revamps. Group shot by Kalhiki, on Flickr So this was a project that I've been wanting to complete for a while. Basically the goal was to have revamps of all six Toa Mata, however, there were a few conditions to this goal. Mainly, I wanted to use the original feet, weapons and masks since those are the most iconic. In terms of design, they needed the back gear (even though it does nothing here aside from added aesthetics), and they had to be no bigger than the original Toa Mata (actually ended up being shorter). There were some other design aspects I wanted like the chest balljoint (and Gali's socket chest), using the Toa Metru head, and general proportions (Onua and Pohatu). I started the builds with the limbs since I wanted to use that boat stud technique. Once that was done, it was off to the torso. Took me a while to figure out a good waist articulation method, but the Mixel balljoint was definitely the way to go. Overall, it was kinda tough trying to figure out how to build so small. Once I had the limbs, I was pretty much locked at that size. All that was left was to get the parts for everyone (lucked out and found all the Toa sans Pohatu at a flea market), and the end result is what we have here. I'm quite happy with how they turned out. Some colors needed to be altered since they weren't available. Also had to change the eye colors since I wanted to use the Metru heads, but I feel the substitutions made worked out well. Few more pics, spoilers for cleanliness. ONUA POHATU GALI KOPAKA LEWA TAHU More pictures on the Flickr album including front and back shots, and a size comparison.

the toa Steven may be small but he is mighty his razor shield will cut through the opposition and his wrist mounted blaster is great for when the going gets tough.
  7. The Mugbearer

    The Toa Hagah

The Hagah were an elite group of Toa assigned to Makuta Teridax. When his betrayal was uncovered, the six went rogue. All of them, except for Norik and Iruini, were captured and mutated by Roodaka into Rahagah. Norik and Iruini lasted a little longer before surrendering to the Vortixx and succumbing to her powers. The following designs are based off Demitsorou's drawings, particularly this Toa Hagah lineup. Norik, a Toa of Fire, was the leader of the Toa Hagah, Possessing infinite patience, unusual for a Toa of Fire, Norik was an exemplary leader and a hero. He wears the Great Kanohi Pehkui, Mask of Diminishment. Bomonga, a Toa of Earth, was the deputy leader of the Toa Hagah. He used to be a quiet type, preferring to work alone and employing stealth tactics. Despite that, got famous for wrangling a Tahtorak Dragon by using his Mask Power to become as large as the beast itself. Bomonga wears the Great Mask of Growth, shaped after Great Kanohi Hau. Iruini, a Toa of Air, may seem grim and even cynical, but deep inside he cares a great deal about his teammates. He used to be the only Toa Hagah to ever raise a concern over Rahi, showing his devotion to the safety of the Matoran. Iruini wears the Great Kanohi Kualsi, Mask of Quick Travel. Kualus, a Toa of Ice. Always eloquent and classy, even as mutated Rahagah, Kualus enjoyed the company of avian Rahi. He wears the Great Kanohi Mask of Rahi Control shaped after Great Rau. Gaaki, a Toa of Water, wears a Great Mask of Clairvoyance, shaped after Noble Kanohi Ruru. The mask has an unfortunate habit of activating on its own and impose great stress on its wielder, which made Teridax’s betrayal all that much painful for Toa Gaaki. Pouks, a Toa of Stone. He’s loud and boisterous and believes in direct approaches in everything, which makes him come off as brutally honest at times. Pouks wears the Great Mask of Emulation, shaped after Great Kanohi Elda. All models are made in Lego Digital Designer, rendered in POV-Ray and post-processed in Adobe Photoshop.
  8. A wandering Toa, haunted by the deaths of his fallen comrades... more photos A MOC that I've had sitting around for about a year now. I didn't put it up since I have much much better MOCs sitting around. I figured if I didn't post it now then I'd never get around to it. Its veeeeeeeeery MOCpages but that's the style I was doing when I built it so whatever lol.

    [MOC] Agents: the Glowfish

Hello everyone! My quick entry into this year's Bio-Cup miraculously granted me a pass into the first round. I finished 70 out of 81 in the Preliminaries and in the first round was to compete against two other builders, including, ahem, the leader of the preliminary match. So I decided to give it my best shot. The theme was Agents/UltraAgents/AlphaTeam, and luckily found a link to the beautiful glowing octopus from set 8636, the one that also features my favourite minifigure, the Slime Face. The link allowed me to bring forth all of my glow-in-the-dark pieces (I do not own much Bionicle or CCBS otherwise, so this was a life-saver) - 40 "marbled" ones in total. This was also my very first figure-building experience, so keep that in mind please. Thank you! Much like the Octopus, the Glowfish is not intended as an antagonist, despite its, well, creepy mouth. The tails (tentacles?) are fully flexible, although only in one plane, but the foremost pair can also hinge up and down slightly at the base. I think it complements the set nicely, adds immense playability and overall serves as a good tribute to the glowing Octopus. The "glow shot" was a must and I think it turned out passable. Thanks for viewing, I really enjoyed building this!

    [MOC] The Necromancer

Though he may appear gentlemanly, the necromancer always has a trick up his sleeve... Flickr post More photos Originally built for the Knight's Kingdom open collab on Flickr. When I realized I no longer had my Vladek head, he was transformed into what you see now. Heavily inspired by Patrick Bigg's Nuju.
  12. Alright, now that LEGO has announced 21311 Voltron, the first ever LEGO set to be based on an anime series originally from Japan, I can imagine LEGO doing an anime adaptation of their properties. My pick would be Bionicle: The Mata-Nui Saga! Based on the Mata-Nui timeline, Season 1 could cover the 2001 storyline, Season 2 covering 2002, Season 3 with 2003 and onwards. If LEGO ever decides to remake their classic Bionicle sets as a tie-in, I think it'd be pretty interesting to see. Oh, and believe it or not, the word "Bionicle" can also be translated into Japanese! バイオニクル - Baionikuru Does anyone think Bionicle could work out as a Japanese anime as long as it stays true to the source material?
  13. "Toa... so dramatic. This time, your farewell will be forever, brother." — Nidhiki to Lhikan Hello, guys! Here is my new bonkle MOC. And yeah, it's Metru Nui revamp again, like my last year's Rorzahk. The nostalgia for the Dark Hunters recently returned to the Russian Bio-community and I couldn't resist) It may be interesting to continue to develop this concept of dark anti-utopian version of Metru Nui. What do you think?
  14. When the 'So long for sunny days'-challenge on Lowlug was announced, I immediately thought about combining LEGO's currently most populair theme with a slew of sets that, in the Netherlands at least, are being sold on the secondhand market for less than a few cents and thus wasn't so popular after all by the majority. A combination Brickheadz-Bionicle, so to speak. As soon as I got that idea down, I remembered an old promotional video from 2001 that had the Toa Mata Tahu surfing over lava and molten rocks inside a volcano, which I wanted to recreate. So I grabbed some bricks, order a lot of trans-orange parts from Bricklink and after 2 months of building, I now proudly present my MOC: Because I had to combine Bionicle with Brickheadz, the official head of Tahu had to be replaced by a brickbuild Brickheadz-ified version. And as cherry on top, I constructed a fitting mask that is only attached to the head by 1 stud. And of course I wanted the lava, just like in the real world, to glow. Fortunately I could borrow 50 trans-orange Light Stax 2x4 bricks from a fellow Lowlug-member, all of which I built into this model. And let me say, in real life, the lighting effects are even more astounding. You can view a full set of photos of this moc on my Brickshelf. And don't forget to like and share this MOC on Facebook.

    [MOC] Lucas

A small and kind robot who's always happy to lend a helping hand... If he could just get over his crippling anxiety. More photos A little robot I've had sitting around for a while. nothing super special but he is kinda cute.
  16. Some years ago my friend gifted me Bionicle set 8984 , and I had no idea what to do with it's bulky parts until I had enough pretty red and black brichs that I didn't use in other mocs. Espesially I like that three-leaf piece from one of goblin's plants, I wanted to have nice use of it. Also mecha MOCers like ChybbyBot inspired me very much, I wanted to try to make similar big creature and I had two fun evenings building this one :) To make a story behind I think this beast was builded by goblins for their king to fight Dragon Queen. But she is okay about it because good forces always win! :)

    [MOC] Pinhead and Armstrong

    [MOC] Leroy

A small but hardworking toxic waste disposal droid. When he discovers life growing in the most unusual of places, he vows to protect it. Imgur album Leroy was an unusual build as he began as something a bit more sinister. Original I wanted to make an evil brain in a jar, but it wasn't turning out like I hoped. When I noticed that the round shape of his body gave him a softer, gentler look, I decided to give him a little flowerpot to really push it.
  19. The 6th rahkshi in my group, Gurahk ended up with a really neat color scheme. Transparent orange felt like a good fit for the disintegration power. I also designed the staff to be reminiscent of the original gurahk's staff. It has lasers embedded in the center. The flight mode looks really good on this one. Rahkshi project 2016 nears completion, here's what I have so far for the last one, Spectrahk; As soon as he's done, I'll take some group shots. Thanks for looking!
  20. One of 3 g2 rahkshi I've been working on, This one is based on the old rahkshi of chain lightning, which sadly never had a story role but did officially exist. This model has a swiveling waist, functional kraata compartment, a flight mode, and mean looking staff that can split in half to form swords. There's a stage 1 chain lightning kraata in its back. I'm almost done with a Vorahk and just started making a Turahk. might do a gravity rahkshi too, it had blue and silver colors, and I have a spare dark blue head. Also, does anyone know how to embed pictures without them being giant?

I'm on a roll building stuff recently. This time, a I've managed to make a hard-suit for a TechnicFig who had no legs. Bohrok done right.

Here are few pics i took of a bohrok moc i did. It doesn't curve up to a ball though. But the cool hunched look of the bohrok i was after was pretty good. Here's some pics. I added an upgrade blaster to the right arm as an higher ranking bohrok. (i don't really read lore or follow it so i don't care.) Honest thoughts?

  24. Pikotu Beetles are small, hungry insectoid rahi found in the dampest places of Le-Wahi. They are most numerous in the Lake Pala area just south of the Tren Krom break, and the Fau Swamp near Kini-Nui. They eat spongy vegetation such as vines and leaves, and love the humid, fresh water areas they live near. Some have a ram-like protrusion from their head, others have a large, horn-like claw. They use these for defense against predators such as brakas and hoi turtles. Click the image for HQ boxart. Full render "Male" (Blue) Full render "Female" (Black) Full render back view (closed) Full render back view (open) Comments and critique welcome. This larger MOC uses parts from pre-2004, some color exceptions were made. The MOC itself has a unique function to unleash it's wings as you lift the elytra. The gear function is fairly simple, and isn't very ergonomic. I originally wanted to make a button feature, but everything collided with the head. The two separate models have almost the same number of parts, the blue one having a single extra piece. I think these are some of my favorite MOCs I've done, even if the function isn't very ergonomic. I hope you enjoy this MOC and the future MOCs I create.
  25. My new Lego Gundam MOC, base on a Gundam in season 2 of the series "Mobile suit Gundam 00", piloted by main character. This mobile suit later will attach with the mobile armor 0-Raiser to become 00 Raiser which is very powerful. Name: 00 Gundam Code: GN-0000 Upgrade form: 00 Raiser Pilot: Setsuna F Seiei Power source: 2 GN-Drive (Twin-drive). Series: Mobile suit Gundam 00 Weapon: 2 GN-sword, 2 beam saber. Compare to my previous MOC from "Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans" which i wanted to simple and easy to build the inner frame. This time, i purposely want the frame have more articulation and the out side armor become more accurate to the real design. ***For all articulation and detail, please check the video : No weapon view: LEGO 00 Gundam GN-0000 by demon demon demon, trên Flickr LEGO 00 Gundam GN-0000 by demon demon demon, trên Flickr LEGO 00 Gundam GN-0000 by demon demon demon, trên Flickr LEGO 00 Gundam GN-0000 by demon demon demon, trên Flickr LEGO 00 Gundam GN-0000 by demon demon demon, trên Flickr The twin-drive can be rotated to the front: LEGO 00 Gundam GN-0000 by demon demon demon, trên Flickr LEGO 00 Gundam GN-0000 by demon demon demon, trên Flickr Two GN-sword can be attach on both sides: LEGO 00 Gundam GN-0000 by demon demon demon, trên Flickr LEGO 00 Gundam GN-0000 by demon demon demon, trên Flickr LEGO 00 Gundam GN-0000 by demon demon demon, trên Flickr LEGO 00 Gundam GN-0000 by demon demon demon, trên Flickr LEGO 00 Gundam GN-0000 by demon demon demon, trên Flickr Holding GN-sword: LEGO 00 Gundam GN-0000 by demon demon demon, trên Flickr LEGO 00 Gundam GN-0000 by demon demon demon, trên Flickr LEGO 00 Gundam GN-0000 by demon demon demon, trên Flickr LEGO 00 Gundam GN-0000 by demon demon demon, trên Flickr LEGO 00 Gundam GN-0000 by demon demon demon, trên Flickr LEGO 00 Gundam GN-0000 by demon demon demon, trên Flickr LEGO 00 Gundam GN-0000 by demon demon demon, trên Flickr LEGO 00 Gundam GN-0000 by demon demon demon, trên Flickr LEGO 00 Gundam GN-0000 by demon demon demon, trên Flickr LEGO 00 Gundam GN-0000 by demon demon demon, trên Flickr LEGO 00 Gundam GN-0000 by demon demon demon, trên Flickr LEGO 00 Gundam GN-0000 by demon demon demon, trên Flickr Two GN-sword can transform to gun mode.
