  1. My oldest is currently interested in playing Nexo Knights. But he won't let me use any lava monsters because he has moved onto the new stone monsters. I was looking at the free Toys R Us Nexo Knight monster we got. I thought I had most of the pieces to make a stone monster version. I named the original Hammerhorn due to the prominent horns and the hammer he carried. I've named mine Hornmace even thought the horns are not very prominent. Unfortunately you can't flick the weapon as easily due to the shorter handle but I couldn't find the right piece except in white and I didn't think that would look as good.
  2. Review: 70316 Jestro’s Evil Mobile Introduction I wonder when the last time you caught sight of a siege tower with flaming wheels and a jester's hat rolling towards you... that's right, it must have been in your nightmares after a late night over a LEGO catalogue! Jestro's Evil Mobile is aptly named - a fearsome vehicle that screams things like, "bad guy!" and "RUN!" First of all, here's an "official" picture of the set... Jestro’s Evil Mobile Set Number: 70316 Theme: Nexo Knights Minifigures: 2, plus one large monster and one book with a big mouth Piece Count: 658 Price: USD $59.99 Box & Instructions The Nexo Knight color scheme of blue, silver, and orange has translated over to the box art for this set, giving it quite a high-tech appearance, in fact. At the same time, the rolling green hills with a castle and skyline in the background are reminiscent of previous, more traditional Castle themes. The back of the box illustrates a few of the play possibilities the set offers, and it also dedicates a corner to the Nexo Knights game. Next step is to despoil the box of its lovely contents… five bags numbered one through four (there are two threes), two instruction booklets, a sticker sheet, and a couple of wheels. The instruction booklets follow the box’s design on the front. There are nine stickers printed on a white background, all of them pretty essential for the final design and none too hard to apply. And now! On to… The Minifigures The set includes two standard minifigures: Lance and Jestro. Both have excellently detailed torsos and legs, and Lance’s chrome arms are great. So is his mask, and Jestro’s cape is really nice too. Jestro and Lance both have double sided heads… and they both have cheesy grins, too… Speaking of cheesy grins, the Book of Monsters has got a monster-sized one for you. If books had ears, its face would be split right across. Looks to me like the cover is a pre-applied sticker, but the inside tile is printed. Lastly, we have the large monster in charge of hauling the mobile – we’ll have more to say about him later on but for now, he has a minifigure scaled head with one gargantum eye, and quite an interesting horned helmet perched on top. He also has a pair of wings… which I guess put him in the category of flightless birds… I could totally see this dude in the zoo across from the ostriches, couldn’t you? Construction Process We jump right into the building with the first bag! This builds Lance’s “horse” and the monster. Bag two starts out on the Mobile. It provides the groundwork for the chomping mechanism of the bottom teeth. Bag three is actually two bags. Jestro is evidently a bit fragile physically as well as emotionally… at any rate, he’s been handled with care and is all wrapped up. Lastly comes bag four, and along with it we’ll use the flame orange wheels. And the Mobile is complete! As always, there are a handful of extra pieces… including one that I somehow missed during the building process. Whoopsie. The time spent building was enjoyable – or would have been if it hadn’t been blowing a gale (practically). The grand outdoors is my photo studio, so that complicates matters a bit. There were a few “aha!” moments as things came together, and I especially admired the tires around those flame orange wheels! The Final Set The final set is of a satisfying size, and there are quite a few neat functions packed in there. First of all, let’s take a look at Lance’s horse speeder. The shape of the head has really been nailed here, and the vehicle is instantly recognizable. And I just can’t get over the ingenuity of using a motorcycle covering backwards! Moving on to the Mobile and the monster, the attachment points there are pretty clever. The monster clips on with a clip hinge, and then two chains stretch from the Mobile to his arms. The end result is easy to pull around. The Mobile has a fearsome face, with the narrowest slits of eyes. Speaking of eyes, I’ve noticed that good guy Nexo Knight vehicles use the more neon color of trans-orange, while the villains use the less glaring shade – something I was glad of in this instance, as I far prefer the villains’ color. The bottom teeth grind up and down as the Mobile is wheeled back and forth. At the back of the mobile, the back flap opens to reveal something of a dungeon inside. The skeleton head is a nice touch. On top, there’s also a treasure chest with a few 1x1 round tiles in warm gold. Jestro’s chair has another intriguing function – it can be moved back and forth for a concealed or exposed position. The concealed position just matches the slit in the large black piece facing forwards. What evil vehicle would be complete without catapults? Not this one, that’s for sure. Dual flanking catapults are more than ready to launch flame balls at any decent minifigure who dares show his face! I said that we would talk a bit more about the large monster, and so we shall. He’s chockfull of black jumpers and the new spiky 1x1 slopes in trans-orange, which is fantastic. He also comes with an interesting printed breastplate piece. Conclusion Before Jestro rolls off in his flashy new mobile to show those Nexo Knights a thing or two, let's share a few concluding thoughts on this set. It's fun, whimsical, and has plenty of functions. The alternating red and black color scheme is visually striking and the bulk of the final machine is satisfying and definitely leaves you with the impression that there isn't much this monster can't roll over. And let's not forget Lance's clever futuristic horse - an instantly recognizable design and lots of fun! Playability: 9/10 – What more could you ask for than an opening ramp out back, a detachable monster, chomping teeth, catapults and a movable seat? In a nutshell: this set just begs to be played with! Design: 5/10 – The playable part of the design is spot on, but the overall impression is a confusing one. The large mouth and tiny eyes make the head hard to really understand, and the extra colors such as gold and orange and grey are a little distracting. Also, the vehicle is wide and short for a siege engine, which seems to have been the inspiration. With such massive wheels, it really deserved a second story. Minifigures: 8/10 – There are only two actual minifigures, which for a set this size isn't many, but they're both wonderfully printed and look fantastic. And then there's also the monster, which is very posable and makes use of a great combination of minifigure sized pieces and larger parts. Lastly there's the Book of Monsters, with a great new book mold and a very unique printed tile. Price: 7/10 – This would unquestionably make a great set for any youngster interested in big bad machines. It's much more of a play set than a display piece, which is to be expected. On the other hand, it has some great pieces - lots of 1x1 round plates with holes, for instance! Overall: 7.25/10 – I could certainly recommend this set for children - my siblings had a blast pulling it around for an hour or so (not to say pulling it to pieces...). For me, it's value lies more in the parts - and there's plenty to like there. But if you're looking for a set to display, honestly, this isn't it. The colors and shapes make it too confusing visually, as you have probably noticed in the above pictures (allow me to take the time to assure that it was not the orange background that messed with your eyes... the set really is like that!). So to sum it up: a great set to play with, a fair parts pack, but in my opinion not something that would look good on a shelf. Questions and comments welcome!
  3. I'd like to start this review with an apology. I promised to write this review a few weeks ago, but thanks to some Real Life stuff, I had to delay it. But now I've got some time, and I'll make good use of it. Similiar to the Mini Fortrex we got in Nexo Knight's first year as a freebie, LEGO offers currently a miniature version of the Headquarters (or Jestro's Monstrous Monster Mobile, to literally translate the German name which I frankly adore because it gets shortened as "MoMoMo"), the biggest set of the current Nexo Knight wave. But how well does this set fare compared to its monstrous inspiration? Let's find out! Set number & name: 30378 Shrunken Headquarters Price: This set is currently free, but can only be obtained along with another Nexo Knights set Parts: 44 parts and 1 minifig (according to BrickLink) Release: Late 2016/Early 2017 The bag The front of the bag shows us the set and its pilot, a regular Stone Stomper. I'd like to mention that I generally like the visuals of the background used for this wave. All these blueish ruins give off a very eery and spooky vibe, which fits nicely with the bad guys (while the heroic knights provide some nice contrast). The bag is naturally nowhere as interesting. Well anyway, let's open the bag! The parts Here's the parts overview of the set. Since I'm not really willing to count the parts myself (which I used to do in my reviews of the constraction sets), I cheated and checked BrickLink. According to them, the Shrunken Headquarter contains a total of 44 parts. It's kinda surprising to me that the amount of purple and dark stone grey (the two colours which make most of the color scheme of the baddies) is so short in this set. The building instructions are a folded poster, which is quite common for small sets like this one. Pieces of interest The supposed action feature of the Shrunken Headquarters is a catapult. I'm not sure how old this piece is (EDIT: It debuted in 2010's Kingdoms line), but here's a picture of it for the little catapult enthusiast in all of us. This little TECHNIC-esque piece on the other hand is familiar to me, as it was also used in various G2 Bionicle sets (it might even have debuted in them?). It's a pretty cool-looking part, and I'm happy to get it now in black too. Another nice bonus: The Shrunken Headquarters comes with a total of three of these, but one of them is a spare part, so even if you kept the set built, you'll get one of these connectors for your parts collection. This brick is part of the catapult, and it's a rather exotic piece (at least for me...). Oh hey, a Mixel Ball joint! Correct me if I'm wrong on this, but could the Shrunken Headquartes be the first set to use one of those in a vehicle, just like how the older plates with balls were already used for decades? Either way, it's a pleasant surprise, considering that I actively collect these joints, what with being a constraction nerd. I generally like 1x2 plates in this style, I think the first time I spotted this variant was in the Mini Snowspeeder. The Shrunken Headquarters uses two of these to connect to steam roller-like front section. The Minifig Instead of featuring a specific character like Jestro (similiar to how the Mini Fortrex was piloted by Robin), the Shrunken Headquarters is piloted by a Stone Stomper, which are apparently the lowest-ranking mooks of Jestro's new army. As this picture shows, Stone Stompers are Gargoyle-like humanoids. A front and back view of the figure itself. As you can see, the Stone Stomper got overall some nice printing. He also comes with an alternative facial expression, so it's up to you if the Stone Stomper sports a evil grin or a more aggressive expression. Here's a comparison with one of the mooks of the past wave (my apologies for not knowing his title though). Given the versatility of the color black, the Stone Stomper looks good if you swap the gear around, while the combination of bright red and purple is kinda odd. Building the set The build of the Shrunken Headquarters is rather simple and straight-forward, starting with the front section, followed by the back section, and once both sections are completed, they get united. I think I can let the pictures speak for the most part here. This picture shows you how the roller in the front is assembled. The instructions themselves of course expect you to first assemble the roller completely before you attach it to the vehicle, so I kinda cheated the instructions here to give you a better insight of how it is built. The front section, completed! Now we also got the back section done, so once we've combined both, we get... The finished set Behold, the evil Miniature Monster Mobile (MiMoMo)! Oh right, spare parts. Design and playability As the name implies, the Shrunken Headquarters is based on Jestro's Headquarters, the larges set of this wave. It comes probably to nobody's surprise that a polybag set doesn't emulate every play feature of it's bigger brother, but I think the set does manage to evoke the shape of the MoMoMo. One feature I like about it is how you can alter the height of the front roller. Since I don't own Jestro's Headquarters, I'm not certain if this feature is inspired by a similiar trick of it or not, but it's still a cute little feature. The set's other play feature, the catapult, leaves something to be desired though. Not only is the Stone Stomper in the way of the catapult, the bricks you can fling with it also fly in a rather low arc, and thus, not very far. So good luck hitting anything besides a miniature town with it. Of course, as a miniature set, the Shrunken Headquarters may not be really up to challenge the Nexo Knights - or at least not their Action Suits... ...except for other polybags I guess. While I would have loved to show the Shrunken Headquarters next to the Mini Fortrex, I unfortunately don't own this set, so I went with another polybag instead. Final thoughts Truth be told, I was initially not really interested in this set, mostly because another polybag which popped up around the same time in the Nexo Knights 2017 thread, looked far more appealing to me. However, once I opened the bag and built the set, the Shrunken Headquarters managed to win me over, as the set still has a rather neat design and comes with plenty of unique parts that will be very great for my parts collection. So if you want buy some Nexo Knights in the foreseeable future, make sure to also get this polybag with it. It's a neat little set that I can recommend.

  5. Hello, dear fans of LEGO. I hope many members of this forum knows about LEGO Ideas. So, I take a chance to participate in LEGO Ideas and I need in supporting. If you watch LEGO Nexo Knights, season 2 on Cartoon Network or on YouTube, you could find out that Merlok enclosed necromand Monstrux in 12 spell books. Unfortunalety, in sets of 2016, there were 7 books: Book of Monsters, Book of Evil, Book of Fear, Book of Chaos, Book of Destruction, Book of Revenge, Book of Deception. For full-fledged scene when Book of Monsters is absorbing other 11 books, there are absent Book of Anger, Book of Envy, Book of Greed, Book of Cruelty and Book of Betrayal. My project named Monstrux and the Dark Arena allows to complete scene of episode 10, season 2. It contains Monstrux minifigure, 5 spell books, reduced version of Dark Arena and Giant Book of Monsters. I have only 5 supporters and 58 days. And I've heard about promoting projects on LEGO communities. I hope on your supporting.
  6. Hello everyone, I would like to find out how much my sealed Lego poly bags are but didn't post this in the market topics as I don't want to sell them. I was wondering if anyone knows where to go for a quote or if anyone can give me a quote? Thanks, I really appreciate it. 30371 - Knights cycle (next knights) 5012 - (don't know the name) 30260 - (Lone Ranger polybag) 40138 - Christmas train I'll edit in some others when I've found the set numbers
  7. Hello everyone! I got a bunch of new sets recently and amongst them were three entry-level Nexo Knights sets. So without further ado, lets begin! The Glob Lobber (70318) Nexo Knights is pretty much hit or miss for me (the good guys are mostly miss). This one, I found initially appealing, because of the weird lava-monster-guy with the Mohawk (he is apparently called Flame Thrower), who has really some potential, but also for the quite interesting selection of pieces it contains. These interesting pieces make up a large crossbow with lots of thorns and spikes sticking out of it. There is even something that looks like insect-legs! Despite all the detailing it is not a terribly impressive build though if you ask me. Especially since the shooting mechanism is not made of the cool flick-fire missiles, introduced last year (which are quite prominently featured in the Star Wars sets), but the old-school stud shooters you have to push out of their fasteners – meh. Building the crossbow-thing is pretty simple, as you would expect and nicely sturdy thanks to the use of technic-elements. But the whole build just doesn’t looks especially remarkable to me. It is a quite chunky piece of artillery, but it really asks me for rebuilding it into something way more interesting. Anyway. As I said didn’t really buy the set because of that, so that is ok for me. The minifigures, on the other hand, look more interesting and will give me a lot of fun customizing them. Flame Thrower looks nicely demonic and has quite defined abs printed on, which reminds me on the devil in the 1980s movie Legend. He comes with a little stud-shooter crossbow for him, which I really like a lot. Why he is wearing a quiver though – and even in brown – is beyond my understanding. But it surely will make one of my castle-archers very happy! The Royal Guard looks quite nice, even if his colour-scheme is more like that of a race-driver. But this is Nexo Knights here and that makes him look actually pretty unremarkable, compared to the other characters. All in all I find this is a nice and simple little set, that offers a fair deal of interesting pieces, but sadly not a pretty appealing model. Especially for its price point, it is rather good though. It is maybe not as desirable as sets with more popular characters, like the sets of the Nexo Knights Ultimate-series, (which cost about the same), but surely makes a nice little gift! Ultimate Macy (70331) I really begin to like the smaller Nexo Knights sets. Once you got over the anime-style super-sized weapons and the comic superhero-feel of the characters, they can be pretty rewarding: they are fun looking (if sometimes a bit silly), with quite diverse Minifigures and interesting pieces. Ultimate Macy is a great example of this. The set just looks good and has really something going on with it. They also come for a really decent price, which always helps! As usual for the series, She comes with a display-stand that holds the different types of equipment she has, which makes it relatively simple to change between various nexo-power setups without displacing pieces. Ok, it can be a bit fiddly though to take off and attach all that stuff from her and her plume is prone to fall off from her helmet during the process, but it is pretty impressive what amount of pieces the Lego designers came up to attach to a single minifigure. The visualizations of her different Nexo Powers looks pretty cool though and are nicely distinct, though personally I like it simpler really and like it when my minifigures are able to stand on their feet without help. The visualizations of her different Nexo Powers looks pretty cool though and are nicely distinct, though personally I like it simpler really and like it when my minifigures are able to stand on their feet without help. The Macy minifigure itself shows some very elaborated printing and a pretty cool, but hefty translucent armour with studs on the back where her minigun is attached. The translucency reminds me a lot on the volcanic-glass armour from The Elder Scrolls games btw. She also comes with two faces: one with a confident smirk (and a slight hint of pink lipstick), the other bruised and pretty upset. All in all Ultimate Macy is a pretty sweet set, that offers quite lot for under 10 Euro. If you are looking for interesting pieces for MOCs, the set might be pretty useful for you (as Nexo Knights set usually are). Of course Macy herself wont fit into an authentic medieval setting, but I can clearly see her in a fantasy- or sci-fi-context. If you are a fan of Nexo Knights, she will be a good addition to your line-up anyway. And will bring some impressive fire power! Ultimate General Magmar (70338) As every Ultimate version of the Nexo Knights characters, the general comes with a pretty impressive backpack-thing (the only exception I am aware of is Lavaria, who got a spider torso instead. So much cooler!). While Macy’s backpack last time was all about her huge minigun stud-shooter, the General is more into spinning stuff. His main mode of attack consists of two large rotating fire wheels mounted on arms made of technic-parts. This allows them a quite impressive freedom of articulation and a decent amount of stability. There must be an unwritten rule for Nexo Knights designers that no minifigure hand shall be free, which means that he also got a quite impressive translucent red axe in his right hand in addition to his already pretty impressive armament. The wheels can be replaced by also translucent turbine blades, which act as spinning axes. Both variants do their job quite nicely, but I prefer the fire wheels really. They are just looking a tad more impressive. But really interesting are these parts for me when it comes to potential implementation in MOCs. They both will surely do very well as engine parts for space-ships! There is also a third, more simple Nexo power variant, which consists of only a fighting pole with large fists on both ends (together with the inevitable shield-tile to switch to of course). The fists can be also directly attached to a minifigures hands like huge boxing gloves. This variant looks a bit meagre compared to the others, but again, from a MOC perspective (and Lego is all about building after all), the fists might find their use on an exosuit or a battle robot. Something I actually won’t have considered building before getting this set. Oh, and a nice detail worth to mention: unlike other ultimate-characters, the general is actually able to stand on his own feet without any supporting parts when wearing his backpack. They extend far enough forward to provide a decent counter-weight that stops him from tipping over! The General Magmar minifigure himself features some very neat detailing. Ok, his rubber hair-piece tends to get knocked off pretty easily, but looks pretty cool and barbaric, which definitely suits his character. It is the same piece as the plume on Macy’s helmet, but in black – so lets not be surprised that it sticks on just as “well”. He also comes with a peculiar jaw-protection, which looks like a low visor (did somebody say dental brace?) from a medieval-style helmet, but without helmet. It reminds me quite a lot of this guy here. It is a quite exotic thing but works well on him, no matter how impractical it actually would be in the real world – but this is Nexo Knights after all! What I really like on him though is the armour plates/scales printing on his torso. A nice combination of colours and rib/armour plate/scale patterns: so very evil! Also a nice detail: the back of his head shows this quite impressive printing too. All in all Ultimate General Magmar is a very good example of the Nexo Knights Ultimate series. It features some really cool designs, if you like the style. And if you don’t, then maybe using the set as source for interesting pieces make you happy. I find them quite useful, at least. The highlight of the set though is the very well designed and properly demonic looking minifigure – and all this at a pretty decent price-point. I definitely recommend it! That's it for now! I hope you liked my reviews. If you like to see more pictures, you can find them (amongst other stuff) on the Littleworlds Blog!
  8. Lance's Dragster The second alternate build of LEGO NEXO KNIGHTS Lance's Mecha Horse 70312. The VTOL plane can tilt and spin all four engines, features opening cockpit and cargo bay, folds the weapons for mid-air jousting. Flamethrower is riding a combat scooter and Lance's bot is flying the hovershield. The building tutorial can be again found in my Youtube channel.
  9. Lance's VTOL I would like to introduce my first alternate build of LEGO NEXO KNIGHTS Lance's Mecha Horse 70312. The VTOL plane can tilt and spin all four engines, features opening cockpit and cargo bay, folds the weapons for mid-air jousting. Flamethrower is riding a combat scooter and Lance's bot is flying the hovershield. The building tutorial can be found in my Youtube channel. And the original model.
  10. I wanted to build a better suit of armor for Macy than the ultimate version, and...it kind of just snowballed from there. Features include an opening cockpit, full articulation, rotating dual mace, dual blasters (can be activated via gears) and a brickbuilt shield that can hold a minifig shield. I also replicated her ponytail. When I initially built this and took pictures of it, I slightly underestimated the size of this piece (used in the shield), which LDD doesn't have and I, as such, represented with a Nexo Knights cockpit piece. It's an easy fix, though, requiring simply that I replace the 2x4 slopes with 2x3 ones. Gallery Comments and criticism appreciated!
  11. So, , one of the Bionicle team members accidentally confirmed that Nexo Knights would have a constraction presence ("If we make a new shell, it has to fit in with Nexo Knights, for example."), which is further corroborated by the leaked set names for Nexo Knights including "Action" versions of normal characters. The following "Action" sets have been confirmed for winter 2017: 70363 Action Macy 70364 Action Aaron 70365 Action Axl 70366 Action Lance Furthermore, a comic depicting the creation of such action figures in-universe was present in a recent LEGO magazine (credit to Logan), which may give us an idea of how these figures will look. All in all, seems like there's plenty of reason to open a topic to discuss this, and I hope the moderators approve of my decision to do so. So, time to start speculating!
  12. I thought she deserved a vehicle of her own, but I couldn't really think of many vehicles that'd be useful for a spy, so I decided to go for the classics and build a mini-mecha. To access the mecha's interior, the hood folds up and the chest folds down. Since her Ultimate's main power is beetle bomb, I gave her a little pet beetle. It could be a plushie, but that'd make the launcher completely inexplicable, rather than merely mostly inexplicable. Sadly, I couldn't figure out a way to give it three pairs of legs rather than two. Thoughts? The red light inside the hood is supposed to represent some kind of heat ray device. The tr. red tiles are a stand-in for a Nexo Power shield inlay. When I build it in real life, I'm planning to replace the assembly connecting that little grappling hook to the rest of the mech with a stud launcher. Gallery. Comments and criticism appreciated!
  13. Today is the 500th anniversary of the death of the great painter Hieronymus Bosch. As such, here's a creation inspired by a figure in his Temptation of Saint Anthony. She only really has one function: her back splits in half to store a figure, a few accessories for said figure and several crates of globlins (originally for the shooting function I abandoned when redesigning her head). Not counting her hair or the joints used in the function, she's got 18 points of articulation. For more information on her design process, see here. Gallery Inspiration I hope you guys like her. Comments and criticism appreciated!
  14. Pic 2 Pic 3 Pic 4 Pic 5 Pic 6 Album A Lego chess set based on the Nexo Knights theme. Altogether, including parts that aren't available on LDD (8 Scurrier figs and the helmets for the 2 Ash Attackers), this model would add up to 1022 pieces. The base features storage space for the chess pieces themselves, and two modular sections visually based on the good and evil factions in the theme. The board itself is also modular and separates into four 16x16 sections. The two halves of the board can be separated and stacked on top of one another for storage. The chess pieces themselves all have simple yet uniform bases that allow for easy color-coded identification. The "good" Nexo Knight faction features King Halbert (King), Queen Halbert (Queen), two Royal Soldiers (Bishops), two hover horses (Knights), two Nexo Shields (Rooks), and eight King's Squirebots (Pawns). The "evil" Lava Monster faction features Jestro and the Book of Monsters (King), Lavaria (Queen), two Ash Attackers (Bishops), two evil hover horses (Knights), two Shields of Absorption (Rooks) and eight Scurriers (Pawns). I would love to build this physically and/or submit it to Lego Ideas, but am hesitant due to how obvious the idea is. Lego has released many chess sets in the past, most of them based on Castle themes, so chances are Lego is already considering releasing a chess set for the Nexo Knights theme. I would not want to buy all the necessary figs and parts on Bricklink only for Lego to release a similar set on their own!
  15. Three new additions to and one old minifigure from my display collection. The rear two devils are modded Nexo Knight villains. The front right devil is one I have had for a while. The green devilkin is a recent joiner. I've had the green head and matching hair piece for some time but hadn't worked out how best to use them until a few weeks ago. Questions, comments, concerns?
  16. Hello, it has been great to talk with the Nexo Knights design team in Billund a few days ago - the journey for this new theme has just begun. So, do you collect the Nexo Powers? Best wishes Andres
  17. Had this MOC Sitting in my house for at least a month by now but finally fixed the legs on the second one,so know it is a good time to upload it. I must Thank Mr Greeble for giving me the Idea of Making these Mechs in the first place, so all creative credit goes to him, however these were all made by me. 18. So, for a long time, there had been discussion about making a dragon for Macy here on the Eurobricks forums. I decided to see what I could do. Once I had figured out how to make the mace tail, it started to progress rather quickly, with the head and the main body being finished at the same time, after which it stalled while I tried to figure out the wings. Finally, though, it's done. This beast has 1400+ pieces, and is fully buildable. I expect the real life version to be done sometime in the summer. So here it is, Sir Chompsalot: Side view and size comparison: As you can see here, the legs have a great range of motion (using an internal gearing mechanism for friction), and the tail can be swung using the gear on the back. The little chest holds ammo for the two turrets. The mace tail tip is built around a LEGO Games die piece. The wing-rotors are built in more or less the same manner as the wheels of Jestro's Evil Mobile, and have a good range of motion. Two little blasters on the sides provide covering fire, and aerial assaults are handled by the dual six-stud shooters, which are mounted on turntables on castle turret pieces and can be manned by squirebots. As you can see here, Macy can sit either in the cockpit or stand on the dragon's head. Either place has storage for her mace and shield. Both the upper and the lower jaws of the dragon can move, and in general are supposed to resemble some kind of trash compactor. The forehead can hold a nexo power and the throat has a space to attach 2x2 round bricks for a flame/heat ray effect. The eyes are supposed to resemble giant versions of those the squirebots have. 19. Hello all, I don't normally post here but I recently bought a Nexo Knights set number 70312, Lance's Mecha horse. It came with the tractor beam shield which I have upgraded four times. I got three free shields in the game, but I think I would benefit from having more. So my question is, what shields should I buy off of bricklink; are there any really good shields which are worth buying or any really awful ones that would just be a waste of money? Thanks a lot, Jim
  20. So after some usefull advice from Dr Cogg i managed to make a little mecha for the clay bots , still i think i could improve the legs or arms with the pices that come in the "Clay rumble blade" set if you have any advice it would be really appreciated (I used the blue sword that comes with the Fortrex but the sword that comes with the set can do just as fine) The pictures are kinda big so instead ill link the imgur album http://imgur.com/a/zlgPJ
  21. Hi everyone! I'm super excited for Nexo Knights, it's probably one of my favorite themes already. While we were discussing the theme in the Nexo Knights thread, someone suggested Macy (the red knight) could have a mace-tailed dragon. So I made my own version of it! As usual, I try to make my MOCs look like real LEGO sets. I apologize in advance for the photos, Bluerender's lighting can be a tiny bit shoddy and the bright blue was probably a bad choice. The minifigures I decided to include are Macy, a Flame Thrower, two Globlins, and a Scurrier. The entire set is 376 bricks, probably less if I were to build this physically due to the shield and Scurrier pieces not exisiting in LDD. Also, some of the leg joints would be built differently with new pieces. I believe they work for now. Macy's shield and mace are both "temporary" builds. The dragon has rotating stud shooters on each wing. The build is replaced because, again, no pieces in LDD. I'm sure if I were to build this physically I'd have to alter the end a bit, somehow add a knob that can be turned to shoot the studs. I tried making the dragon look as robotic as I could, so there's silver and all sorts of trans-neon reddish-orange bits. Macy's shield can be fit on the back with the two studs on the back of the shield. Her mace can be placed next to the beginning of the tail. Which, is the main reason I built this, the mace tail! It's hard to build a good enough looking tail that isn't too big and can be swung around to knock the enemy monsters off their feet! The monsters get a small Globlin catapult that can move around on its 3 legs. That's it for now, thanks for viewing! If you have any suggestions for some more Nexo Knights MOCs I could make, feel free to suggest them! Comments are greatly appreciated too.
