  1. Lord Vladivus

    Of Kazzar and Witches

It is a well known fact that the Kazzar are not particulary enamoured of the Witches of the Moruth Swamps. At least, since the witches have started to steal valuable Kassava claws from the various tribes, to make drugs that are much sought after by the Black Spire. So, when a travelling Swamp Witch reaches a Shadowmere Guard encampment at the base of Shadowwmere's great black walls, the grizzled Kazzar Blackcloak commanding the small detachment of veteran zombie warriors is swift to react. Only a swiftly barked command from an inspecting Fenrir Bloodcloak saves the witch from a gruesome disembowlment by a Kassava lance. The witch arrives. The Kazzar Blackcloak. The Witch herself, apparently of Mitgardian descent. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- C+C welcome! I'm not too sure on the style of pictures, was fiddling around with some editing software.

    First snow

First snow (1) by David de Rijke, on Flickr and a (poorly) edited version, just to try it out :) patrol4 by David de Rijke, on Flickr First snow (2) by David de Rijke, on Flickr First snow (3) by David de Rijke, on Flickr For this one, I wanted to try to make a smooth snowscape. I added the footprints by having a few studs, I think it turned out fine. The fence is a last-minute addition, as I was buying stuff for sinterklaas when I saw black thread, so I bought that. Alas I do not have any kind of photo editing program left on my laptop, yet with the camera of my 'new' used phone I think I did better than before concerning photography :P Also I found some tricks to enhance the lighting in my room.

    AoM: Aslo The Ale Salesman

Even far north, where snowy blizzards frequently occur, the few outposts that far north still need resupplying now and then. But the paths are treacherous, and the wooden supports holding the snow back have been known to collapse. Only few brave salesmen dare to travel in these areas, but being few the profits are great. And of course a simple horse would not withstand the cold, more, appropriate, creatures are used. A build that happened to tie in with AoM and this years CCCXIV, also partially inspired by scenes in Game of Thrones for the ice/snow wall. A Northern Guardsman fills up on ale for his outpost Aslo and the Mitgardian snow horse, along with the specifically built sled And just the landscape: Also happier with the photography for this one -Thanks for looking! :)

    Weyworth Keep

One of Sir Uridius Dratiphe's Mitgardian seats, Weyworth Keep is situated at the head of one of the many sources of the great Adeler River, and, like Uridius' Keep, was built into the snow-clad mountain itself! Within the huge wooden doors, standing to protect the Keep from any assault, life goes on as usual - one of the younger castle-dwellers feeds the horses in the stables, and the others go on with their normal activity as well. A young fisherman looks for a catch out by the waterfall to help out with their suppers... And a couple of forestmen sneak around the corner of the tower (just because there's always someone or another who likes sneaking around, you know! ) Dressed in the colours of Weyworth Keep, the guards keep a sharp lookout for any stray Algus, or any visitors coming to see Sir Uridius. There is more to Weyworth Keep, though, than meets the eye! I had a lot of fun building the snow-covered mountain with a large removable section behind the castle to give access to the full interior behind: A few Interior Shots: Sir Uridius Dratiphe himself, who has been staying at Weyworth for some time recently: And a squire wanders about leisurely above: While the castle smith works away trying to get a straight sword out of this piece of iron! Poor guy... Down the other corridor: And a couple more pictures of the interior: A last overview: My largest, and quite possibly my favorite, build yet, this took about two months to completely build, but it was destroyed remarkably shortly after photography (and about 24 hours later no two pieces of the build were still attached, except Sir Uridius himself) for all that! If the peacefulness of it isn't enough for you, there are some pictures of it under siege for the Colossal Battle Contest (but most certainly not built for GoH!) on my photostream. Glad to finally be posting something here again, and I'm very happy to finally have a proper castle in Mitgardia as well! Thanks a lot for viewing, C&C are most certainly welcome!

    AoM: Gatehouse Phase I

AoM: Defence, gatehouse phase I Near the border between Mitgardia and Avalonia, a small town surrounded by a wooden wall, with gates at each entrance, a guard watches whoever enters, the Mitgardian banner flowing in the wind. A farmer leaves the town to sell his produce. A small build I whipped up today after getting back from holiday, after realising the next build for my character story would go well for Gatehouse phase II, just needed a phase I to precede it -Thanks for looking!

    Pt. 1.2: Blood Lord Reunion

The next part of my character story, check out part 1, and part 2. A few days after part 1. After the kidnapping of men by barbarians in Teridyan, a meeting was called in the map room of the M.I.S. manor, reuniting 3 high ranking members: The Blood Lords. Demm, head of Blood lords, vice-chief of the M.I.S. - So, you must be wondering why I have summoned you here? Krew, first Blood Lord, the Crow-Keeper - Well I most certainly am. Demm - I received a message from a friend in Teridyan, there has been another silent attack and kidnapping... Obara, second Blood Lord, the Key-Keeper - We are yet to solve the last one. Demm - But this time the situation has gotten worse, a member of the M.I.S. has been removed during this attack a few days ago. Kan, third Blood Lord, leader of the M.I.S. Northern Guardsmen - Who is it? Demm - Finnak Sern, known as Fin. Obara - I met him on a few occasions, I cannot imagine he'd be an easy man to kidnap. Demm - We believe this attack is related to the others, so based of witnesses, the attackers are large, barbaric looking men, who come in the night and take the men only, leaving everything else untouched. We've narrowed down the location of the attackers and hopefully their prisoners to somewhere in Mitgardia. Kan - It's not that that is not much to go on, but all of Mitgardia is a rather broad search area, not to mention we've had M.I.S. specialists investigating these kidnappings for over a year now... Demm - Which is why I've called upon you three, Krew, we need you to provide an eye in the sky, use your crows to search the land far and wide. Krew - As you wish sir. Demm - Obara, I believe a man matching the description of the attackers is in your custody after getting injured during one of their little raids, we need as much information off him as possible, and by any means. Obara - Very well sir, we interrogated him when he was sent in to no success, but I won't fail this time. Demm - Kan, as much as your services are not required at the moment, as soon as the location of these men has been revealed we'll need your guardsmen to strike and recover any Mitgardian prisoners. Kan - Aye,it would be my pleasure m'lord, I'll get the boys prepared. Demm - And I wish to present you head of our rangers, Thomas, he and his men will search all Mitgardia for the Barbarians. Thomas- Good evening gentlemen, wish I could chat but I believe we all have work to do. Demm - Good luck to you all. A few months later. Krew - Sir my crows found nothing, we've searched all the land for a trace of the barbarians for months now, and word from Obara says the prisoner was no use, we have nothing... Thomas - The same for my rangers sir... Demm - This is most unusual, and leaves two solutions, either they aren't in Mitguardia, Avalonians or Nocturnians maybe, or... Krew - No, that's not possible sir, the only thing up there is ice creatures and snow! Thomas - What we are dealing with are no ice creatures, yet no man could survive up there. Demm - Someone must go, someone must venture through the snow and ice... Thomas - I will go, I knew Fin, I shall not let him down. Krew - Alone? Thomas - I will take any willing rangers, but if none agree, yes, I shall go alone. Demm - The best of luck to you master ranger, you will go where very few dare, brave the Frozen Beyond. Thomas - Thank you sir, I shall return and with the location needed. Possibly my largest GoH build so far, starting off with just the map and then expanding, the map was rather fun to build, and I tried to make it as accurate as I could. Sorry the story kinda jumps through time here though going back to before part 2, and then to after it. Without minifigs: -Thanks for looking!
  7. Sibard Harthsol trudged through the miserable morning snow. The sun was rising over the tall Mitgardian peaks, painting the fields golden. Despite the beautiful scene that lay before him, Harthsol's thoughts were as damp as his boots. He was beginning to believe that his master (the mighty and true ruler of all Historica Lord Raavage) had lead him on a wild goose chase. Sending him to this barren, cold, miserable land to die alone. He tried to remember his masters command but he could only gather fragments. Something about dwarves and pies. Harthsol shrugged his shoulders, anything would be better than this bloody snow, what he would give to be back at home in the swamp with a good barrel of rum. His thoughts started to wander until he spotted a spire of smoke. Hoping that it meant the end of his journey he headed towards it. When he had finally reached his destination he found out it was in fact a small dwarven village. Before he had even passed through the gates a booming voice met him. "Welcome captain Harthsol, to the beautiful village of Awsder." A large (for dwarven standards) dwarf strode towards Harthsol. He was built like a barrel, his long red plaited beard fell over his chest plate. He pulled Harthsol into a hug and gave him a pat on the back, leaving Harthsol winded. "Come in, come in, My name Is Brofendur Fuhnt and I am honored to have a man of Lord Raavage in my village. I am sure that our pies will exceed your standard, after all, we all know Mitgardians make the best pie." Harthsol laughed in his head, Mitgardians and pies? The thought was hilarious, yet Harthsol replied with a nod and followed him into the village, wondering what sort of 'pies' the dwarves had conjured up. Brofendur lead him on a winding path, through rows of crooked houses. As they walked Brofendur continued to ramble on about how to make the best pies, although Harthsol was too tired to listen to what properties fyhe root possesses. "Fhye root can make the pastry extremely flame proof..." Harthsol checked the sun, about midday he guessed. "...which can certainly help when a pie is being heated..." A pub caught Harthsol's attention, well he know where he would be spending the.. "...by a dragon" That stopped Sibard Harthsol in his tracks. "A dragon?" Harthsol spluttered "yes a dragon, i'll show you" Brofendur told him as if it were not at all unusual. He lead Harthsol to a small balcony over a large pit, and sure enough there was a dragon. Its black scales glinting in the sunlight. Dwarves milled around the working area, carrying ingredients and working on new recipes. Brofendur saw the nervous look on Harthsol's face and laughed. "You don't have to be scared of her, we have guards keeping her at bay at all times" "With those little toothpicks?!?" Harthsol asked, terrified. "oh well, better that then nothing eh, anyway she's a vegetarian so you've got nothing to fear" I sighed, it wasn't the most relaxing thought but it was more comforting know that you weren't going to be eaten any time soon. "so why do you need a dragon?" Harthsol questioned, wondering why in the world they had a dragon. Well the bigger the pie, the bigger the oven. And since we make very big pies we needed a very big oven. so I thought 'why not use a dragon?', so we did." Brofendur told me. "would you like to try some?" Harthsol felt his stomach rumble, "Of course" he replied, his mouth dribbling already. A fresh pie, recently cooked hung on a crane. It was lowered and then eventually carried by six dwarves up to us. Brofendur cut a large slice and offered it to Harthsol which he greedily accepted. The pie was the best he had had in a long while, stuffed full of meat and cooked to perfection. "This Is amazing" Harthsol managed through bites of pie, "but you know this is a enchanted pumpkin pie contest, not a meat pie contest right?" "Of course" Brofendur replied, "we added a little bit of pumpkin for flavoring and as for being 'enchanted' I guess there is a little magic in the making so..." "Eh" Harthsol shrugged his shoulders "good enough for my standards, anyway, I doubt they care that much." "Well that's good because I almost thought I might have to bribe yo..." "Now before we finish up here I need you to answer a couple of questions" Harthsol interrupted "first off, where are the ingredients from?" As our mountain is too cold to grow ingredients we order only the finest pastry from the furthest reaches of Kaliphin. As for the meat, That comes from the most tender beef farms of the isolated isles of Isaile, located in eastern Avalonia." "Good, good, what about your work place condition?" "We keep a clean work area with a nonalcoholic policy" Brofendur told me proudly. The work place looked clean enough but Harthsol did not think the nonalcoholic policy was enforced enough by the look of the drunk sagged behind a couple of barrels. "Well thank you for your time Mr Fuhnt, I will tell my lord to expect you at the official judging of the pies and long live Lord Raavage." "Thank you captain and long live Lord Raavage, the true king of all Historica." Brofendur's kitchen by Jed cameron, on Flickr The dragon (with light brick on) A lot of Blood (not really), sweat and tears went into this. It is by far my most complex moc yet and really really dodgy. You see, this moc took a little fall off my desk. When I put the chunks back together I found: A. the base was uneven and the whole thing was on a slight lean. B. I couldn't stack the bricks tightly together since it would risk breaking the rock work. Despite this I carried on and eventually built my best moc yet (In my opinion). This week (about a month ago now) has also been incredibly busy for me, With my show I was in ending, school finishing for the holidays and my birthday (10 years with Lego :D). As always c&c welcomed and hope you enjoy. Sorry I had to use a sheet, it was too big for my normal layout.
  8. Second build for my character story, explaining his 2 year absence, part 1. A few days after part 1. After waking up with an excruciating headache from the knife hilt, the second thing I noticed was the icy cold I'd woken up to. The sound of footsteps and something being dragged across the snow could also be heard. My body had been wrapped in a nearly soft cloth, presumably to keep me from freezing to death, and had been tied down, my head still in the bag they put on me what I'm guessing must be a few nights ago now. I was laying on something hard, but not as cold as stone, so wood, that would also explain the dragging sound, I was tied to a sled. Yet no horse could be heard, only men, remembering the two men who attacked me in my room; large brutes, but strong enough to pull a heavy sleigh through the snow in such temperatures for days on end? What kind of men was I dealing with, barbarians, savages...? Counting the times we stopped assuming they were nights, it had been just over a month, dragged through the snow on a sled with little food and water. The first week I'd struggled, trying to find a way to untie myself and escape, a cold cylindrical object regularly bumped my head through the sack, a sword hilt? But after that, the cold, the lack of food, water, and very little sleep, I felt close to death. It almost got my once, they'd placed me on a boat, and the rocking motion without any sense of direction almost made be very sick, nearly throwing up inside the bag, which would not have ended well. I couldn't help but noticed how the temperature continued to drop, meaning one of two things, we were going up into mountains, but we haven't climbed any substantial slopes, or we were going North, very far North. So like I said, taking a break from AoM to continue my character story a bit. -Thanks for looking!
  9. The Black Spire calls for reinforcements. The gears of war are finally put in motion and the terrible, most devastating fate of the Darklands takes its course. While the armies of Historica march to Nocturnus, a single colossus comes down the northern Rakath at the border to Mitgardia; the giant seeks neither glory nor riches, the pure lust for destruction and chaos makes him leaving his home in the mountains and entering the vale. Where he plagues the land, he erases villages. He devours the cattle and leaves nothing but desolation and death.
  10. Building for the Spire read first: For days now they had been marching through the mountains. Yvern had found a pretty large group of Bulls willing to join them, after talking to Davok. Now the expedition, under formal lead of Thornn and Spyrus, and Davok and Yvern, was crossing the Kyrrath Mountains. Tonight they could rest in the ruins of an ancient abandoned Orc fortress, Khazrat. Yet when they came closer, there was an unusual stench in the air. Spyrus and Davok went on, while the rest halted. When they neared the entrance to the fortress, Spyrus said: "This is Orc-scent. That would be that Resistance regiment. See? He didn't wipe them out, filthy Yudha. "How did you call me?" An unwelcome but familiar face appeared above them, just outside the gate the ruins of Khazrat Spyrus: "Why... what... what are you doing here?" Yudha: "Easy...helping my new friends to prevent some impetuous young men from assisting the spire... They pay me well enough" Davok: "Treacherous scum... Is mony indeed all you are after?" Yet Yudha disappeared through the gate. Davok: "The fortress will be occupied. Yet there is no way back now. The fortress doors have rotten away over time, so our best chances are to rush in..", and he shouted a signal. Immediatly the whole expedition started to run, with their weapons ready, not knowing where the enemy might appear... the ruins of Khazrat the ruins of Khazrat the ruins of Khazrat the ruins of Khazrat So, I have been working on this for a pretty long time: I wanted to hit some birds with one stone: I wanted to make ruins, and to make a round tower. I am pretty happy with the architecture of the (front) wall and the tower, yet they don't really get the attention they deserve in this build, I think. The tower has an half collapsed part, and the wall has some chunk out of it, made with different slope bricks.
  11. Over the years, the small arms stall eventually evolved into a full-fledged forge and store. Gungnir's Point. After many winters of selling arms and protection, Bjorn Hamarmund put his time into learning the trade, to forge the weapons he sells, ensuring quality in every slit, stab, and slice. Gungnir's point was established. I have built multiple slight variations of Gungnir's Point, in order to give an idea of the evolution of the shop. Please don't mind the mess in a couple of the photos. I also wanted to showcase the Mitgardian tribesmen who have allied themselves with Ulfraut. C&C very much welcome, my friends.

    AoM: Gate phase 3

My phase 3 for the Gate category of AoM. I hope this is sufficient for the title :D I had fun making this, because I did not plan anything, and just looked how it would turn out. The building has some interiors, but the bad part of not planning, is that I couldn't really make pictures of the inside :P Im quite happy with how it turned out, especially with the stonework. I need to work on the roofing though, yet thanks for the guide SK :P I spent most of my salary on lego this month, but maybe I should go for a suitable camera one time. One way, I feel the money used for a camera could have been spent for bricks, but the pictures will probably improve a lot :) Usually I edit the photos with photoshop, but due to me quitting my studies, I do not have the license to use it anymore. Im starting an IT study this year, so I might get the licenses at discount :D Gatehouse phase 3, AoM by David de Rijke, on Flickr
  13. High Baron Vindavin

    AoM gatehouse phase 1

This is a gatehouse situated on the norther outskirts of Odinshire (Odinshire is what I have decided to name the village Lord Clutchski rules over) and serves as a guarded entrance to the village and first line of defense. Here, we see an archer standing watch and a knight leaving for a routine patrol to find lost travelers, or unwanted guests. sorry about the fuzzy picture that's also an attachment, I have been having some weird problems wit the URL pictures. it says that "you are not allowed to use that image extension in this community." even though I have done the exact same thing before. Weird. https://1drv.ms/i/s!Ag1BfaoqmAZShixnY7M0ej_A2J8l this should work better.

    Dragon Taming

See the previous tales: Wyndor's Saga: Chapter 1 -What Has Past- Chapter 2 -What Has Past- Chapter 3 The Green Dragon Inn Bustle at Treacleheim At the Gates of Budd-apest Dragon-Forged Blade in Treacleheim Charlemagne's Residence Wyndor, Charlemagne, and the rest of their party made their way up a trail in the Rakath Mountains. After Charlemagne had come back from Ulandus, he had kept some of their dragons around. He hoped one of them would be willing to help Wyndor. These particular dragons were trained to be comfortable around humans and other humanoids. But they were still dragons and as such could not be made to do anything they didn’t want to do. Thankfully these dragons were pretty clear about whether they liked a person or not and after showing their approval became very loyal. Charlemagne was explaining all of this to Wyndor and Valenice as they came to the dragon grounds. Wyndor spied one particular dragon that just seemed to call to him. He started to approach the beast and immediately the dragon came up to him. There was obviously a connection and Wyndor knew this was just the answer he needed to take on the Algus threat and allow him to return to Mitgardia. He and Valanice climbed onto the dragon’s back. “I imagine we’ll be able to get back home faster than the horse rides it took to get us here” said Valanice. “Yes, hopefully we won’t be too late!” responded Wyndor. Looking down at Charlemagne he asked, “How can we ever repay you?” “Just be ready to return the favor if ever we need it” answered Charlemagne. And with that the dragon began beating his wings and took off to carry his passengers back to Dalig Ulv. As Charlemagne, Hildegard, Morpheus and Balthazar watched them fade into the distance, a huge shadowed loomed up behind them… OoC: Please note that this build was simply put together to help act as pictures for the transition in the story. It's a lot of recycled parts and is very plain. Sometimes I find I need to do that to get over a mental block so I can keep building and telling the parts of the story that come more naturally to me. The dragon was built for the next part of the story that will be coming soon.

    Nordheim Harbormaster

The third module of a large collab build that Isaac and I are building for Brickfair, Virginia. First module, second module. We’ll be posting one new module a week. The harbor-master’s house and tower both have full interiors. The tower is only one half of the gatehouse, which is why the arch has nothing on top of it. The harbor-master’s house sits in the corner of the Nordheim Docks, and all incoming traffic is registered there. The winter lull gives the harbor-master plenty of time to catch up on his records, inside his cozy home. I would like to claim UoP credits for: General Building: Interior Design Lots more pictures on Brickbuilt All C&C much appreciated
  17. Book III is coming to an end, and that means we all will have to make a choice. For some of us, this will be obvious, but for me... I'll show you what I mean: VS CC is very welcome, and please let me know wich one you favour. A special thanks to SK and InnovaLUG for hosting the Summer Joust, in wich I will also enter the vignette category with these two. Thanks for watching, see you next time!
  18. Mitgardia5rs_140616 by Gabriel Thomson, on Flickr] Runa Hoskuldottir spoke the words of leaving with care and reverence, asking the gods and the ancestors to bless the journey they were about to embark upon. The man by her side stood silent, but he made the offerings at the right time, as she had instructed him, the coins of passage falling into the sacred bowl in a pattern that promised fair winds. The ritual over, she turned to look at him, smiling. “Well Erland, we shall have no trouble until we reach the mainland at least. A good start.” Erland lifted his careworn face to meet her eyes. “Perhaps I am the trouble on the road. I know your father doesn’t approve of our betrothal, and how can I blame him? He knows next to nothing of me, and I cannot remember enough to quell his fears. Perhaps Sigurd was right and they should have left me to be claimed by the waves, at least that way your family would not be deprived of you in this hour!” Runa snorted impatience. It was one of the things he loved about her, how little patience she had for his doubt and self-pity. “Don’t talk nonsense, betrothed. Do you think I could remain deceived about your true nature after months of nursing you back to health? You are a good man, I know it, and when we find your family, you will know it again too. As for Sigurd and Bjarke, they are superstitious fools to think that you are ill-omened just because they lost their best fishhook the day they found you floating in the wreckage of that ship. The gods are not responsible for their carelessness!” Erland smiled. “Well, perhaps it shall be as you say. But we certainly won’t have fair winds to the mainland unless we move soon, no matter what the gods say. Is Olaf ready to go?” Runa reached down to stroke the stocky grey cat at her feet. “Come then Olaf! I have packed a snack for you on the boat.” He miowed in response and trotted down the steps toward the jetty, with the couple following close behind him. To be continued… So i hope this will become a bit of a multi-build storyline... it started mainly cause i realised just how little of Historica i'd built in, and i wanted a reason to roam about a bit. I'd never built in Mitgardia before now either, so i just had to kick things off there. But i do want to build more in Peregrinus as well (which has been woefully neglected by me), so the story might become slow going! 19. Captain Braunsfeld

    Captain Mitgardia

In times of danger a new hero is born. A Mitgardian dwarf, strengthened and lengthened by magic, is ready for the challenge (be it Algus or anything): CAPTAIN MITGARDIA He goes by the name of Stevor, son of Rogvor. (I thought of giving him a wooden shield first, but that might not have worked out ) C&C Welcome!
  20. In the south of Mitgardia lays a small castle called Sudheim Keep. It's design is based on Nordheim Keep, but altough it's brother is build for, Sudheim Keep is build for peace. It is there, that Drondil signs a pact with three of the mightiest powers of Mitgardia, and even Historica. Tonight, Daydelon, Thorshaven and Drondil sign a pact to change Historica's history! Again, inspired by Soccerkid6 (I know, it's kinda becoming a habit. I should probably put it in my signature ). It's based on one of his older castles, while the name refers to the best castle ever build. These angled roofs were a real pain in the megablocks, but I hope you like it! CC very appreciated!

    AoM: Wall phase 1

So here is the first of some incoming builds. I wanted to create a wooden wall without pallisade bricks, I think I succeeded. (Quite partsconsuming though :) ) This was the first time I ever touched those 3-leave plants, I just ordered them and never had them before, so I had to try how to work with them. (apparently they are much more flexible than I imagined) The trumpet is gonna pop up a lot, I play it myself so I love that brick. It is also my first real shot on an irregular base, I think it turned out fine, but it could have been much smoother. I actually want to create my own settlement, im working on a story for it right now, this will be included too. Frost Dragons

An improved version of my ice dragon model from December last year. This one is stronger, using mixed joints and the wings are further forward. In my opinion it look a lot better then the original one, which can be seen here- https://www.flickr.c...ve/23381215452/ . This was part of my display for the Sydney Brick Show (16th & 17th of April).

    Proof of power

I realized it is 1st of may today. Do not expect too much here, this is an older build collab with my 10y/o brother, I tried some building techniques here (walls that are a half stud deeper, orange wall/ 'toilet') and was left with too little time and bricks to finish it, But I brought my minifigs and prepared this castle for a quick story before the due date :D I just agreed at the homefront that I'll need a better camera and that I will make a lego studio somewhere. My next build will be small and detailed instead of big and too little bricks:) I tried to edit these pictures but I fail with photoshop :) So, enough self-negativity and I hope you like the story progressing :D Oh by the way, I finally purchased some flags in the ríght colors (green/yellow), so now I can show my own allegiance as well. Part one Swearing Allegiance Bull's Eye Fortress After the arrival of the strangers, it was done with the quiet in the Bull's Eye. 'My king, the men are not happy with your decision. They don't trust these strangers, and some are preaching to revolt.' With these words Davok disturbed Ryban in his private room. Ryban stood there, gazing to his weapons hanging on the wall, where first the picture of his wife shined, before she disappeared. They looked outside, and indeed, it seemed like the assembled men grew angry. Some abused the fact they had to muster to speak to all the Bulls at once. Then, suddenly, the guards all blew their trumpets. A band of warriors was sighted, heading to the fortress. They carried Kaliphlin banners. The envoy from Nocturnus saw them, and they headed to the gate, shouting that these men came for them, and thus they would deal with them. While his guard prepared his axe, the envoy seemed like he was channeling something. Flames seemed to grew from his hands, and from the inside of the walls sounded yells, both terrifying and enthousiastic shouts. Then he put his hands together, and a beam of flames was aimed towards the attackers, creating a fiery zone before their feet. None of them was burned, nonetheless. They turned around and started to run, apparently it was not that good an idea to invade this fortress. Loud cheers sounded from the battlements, as the Bulls saw they could trust these strangers. Davok realized that all of the invaders had seemed quite northern, none of them had a tan colored skin. Also, the envoy said he knew the attackers even before he could see in that direction. Something seemed wrong here, somehow he had the idea there was something going on... Post was too large, More pictures:

    Mitgardian Love

After long talks and many couriers, Alric's wife Elysabeth has decided to build a Mitgardian ambassady. She hired one of Nordheim's most famous architects to put a Northern building in an Avalonian landscape. Of course, the building features full interiors: In the central hall, Elysabeth and Nordheim's ambassador Hollr are talking about trade agreements. Maybe an alliance follows... So, I always liked Mitgardia, but Soccerkid's and kabel's builds kindled a true love for the north in my heart. The building itself uses only "Mitgardian" techniques, while the environnement is based on Full Plate and DC. Special thanks to SK for helping out with the roof (who is better now then on most of the images) and to Halhi141 for the stained glass windows
