  3. MMV-style Bakery by bobsy26, on Flickr MMV-style Bakery by bobsy26, on Flickr Okay, need a better name. Oh well. So I actually began this design a long time ago, back when the wonderful DesignByMe service was still available. Back then it was a lot slimmer, only had one half (the shop front) and was open at the back, and sold glassware rather than bread. I was never 100% happy with the design, since I'd painted myself into a corner with difficult arrangements of plates for the two floors. So last week I went back to the project and expanded it to more reasonable proportions to fit with the Medieval Market Village scale of building. I widened the building, added the other half which included the massive oven, and re-did the upper floor to be more for living than work (previously it had been a doctor's room, complete with bonesaw and tanks of strange fluids). MMV-style Bakery by bobsy26, on Flickr Apologies that there's only two rendered images for this - the number of transparent pieces makes this an absolute beast to do in PovRay. I had to give up on a close-up of the oven, because the trans round 1x1 studs were taking way too long. It was too dark to see them anyway. MMV-style Bakery by bobsy26, on Flickr MMV-style Bakery by bobsy26, on Flickr The jam jar is a relic of when the shop sold glassware. The shelves originally had wine glasses instead of croissants. That grey cooling tray is intended to display a pretzel, but I couldn't find the piece in LDD, sadly. If I make it for real I'll put one there. Hawken - War is a Machine

Hey everyone! Hawken Just had a big Beta Event for the weekend so I fianlly got off my butt and got some game time in, had a blast! Between this and Mech Warrior Online looks like we'll have lots of Mech goodness for sometime! Hawken has a great Aesthetic so naturally it got my creative juices flowing! I had been having a good run with the Rocketeer mech, so I designed this guy based on it(or at leat it's weapons) Had a lot of fun with this, Hawkens Aesthetic and my Dense Building style meshed really well and I'm really liking hte overall size I got here, big enough for figs but small enough to be able to (relatively) easily build more than one or two! I think I'll try to build something based on the Assault Mech next, I've grown attached to it's big square head! So hit me up with any C&C you guys have, but keep in mind that these won't be you average LDD MOC, these are built and colored with Actual Bricks in mind! There are NO Floating parts, NO iffy connections and NO Parts in un-produced Colors(mistakes still happen thought), just keep it in mind. Mike
  5. So I just downloaded LDD and went to start on something and immediately noticed something that is going to cause me problems. How can I make sure I only use the colors that the brick comes in? For example I was trying to place a road baseplate. I know it comes in green and grey, but what green and grey? It lets me choose red for it even. How can I make sure I use correct colors? Thanks.

    LDD MOC Hi-Rail mow Semi

I've been tinkering around in LDD to mash up a moc based loosely off of 2 lego city sets 3179 utility truck for tool storage 3677 hi-rail pickup, it must be able to ride the rails But. I frankensteined that idea by adding in a bit more 3221, because I wanted it to be a semi 4205, for its rugged off road look and ended up with is!
  7. Hello, I'd like to know if LDD will work on a Windows RT tablet. It seems to me the touch interface is ideal for LDD. However, I can't find any information about LDD working on Windows RT. It's not in the Market, I can see that on Windows 8. If it doesn't work, I'll probably go for a cheaper Android tablet. Does anyone have experience with this?
  8. This is a LDD model rendered using LDD2PovRay and PovRay. This is the last of my CUUSOO project animals for a long time. Maybe it is time for a change. Hope you like it. You can support it here: http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/16971

    LDD MOC Makuta

Haven't touched LDD in a while, but then I was watching Mask of Light again and I noticed how much Makuta's feet looked like the Ben 10 block feet. So, this came about. 1 2 3 4 (new) Download the .lxf file for better views. Wings because wings rule.
  10. We made a short survey, to see what you think of the "LDD and other digital tools" forum and the LDD and LDraw set indexes. We hope to see which things are good and which things can be better. You can fill in this little survey by clicking on this link. The survey is completely anonymous. The closing date is 11 december We hope many people will fill in the survey Thank you in advance for participating!
  11. I have a 1300 piece model of a steam locomotive in LDD (my first attempt at a steam locomotive). I want to order the parts to build it and see if there is anything that needs to be reworked. Is there a way I can repaint the model in LDD easier than going brick by brick? The reason I want to repaint it is so If I need to tweak it I can easily see what parts are new. If not, the alternative would be to use different colored bricks for the new parts. Thanks, Sal WFB, WI

US 1980s Long Nose Tractor Unit

V-LC-21F Hi Guys, Having grown up in the era of such films as 'Smokey and the Bandit', 'Convoy' and 'Duel' i've always had a passion for big American trucks, in the UK due to size constraints and restrictions we've always really had 'Cabovers' be best sellers here. I decided to build one of my favourites, a long nose tractor unit. This has been copied from a Kenworth from around that era. It's only been built in LDD as yet but I hope you like it, the rear has a sleeping area for the driver as when there's beer in TexArcana and they're thirsty in Atlanta every second counts. My next plan is to build a trailer and maybe experiment with an American Cabover like an 'International'. Hope you like it and hope the US builders on here tell me if it looks realistic to them. How it looks in your rear view Feedback always welcome.

    [MOC] WIP Modular Townhouse

Hey guys, I'd like to introduce my WIP Townhouse MOC. With a complicated financial situation ATM, I turned to LDD to start creating something on my own. This is at the same time my first LDD and first modular MOC (but It's 4 story high). The outside is pretty much done, but I'm still not happy with the roof. I'm working on the inside (furniture is OK, but need some more stuff). I'll be glad to have your feedback on that, I do plan to build it for real when I can afford to. The pics are so-so, I'll try to do it better tonight.
  14. Creator set 5867 (Super Speedster) is such a great set, isn't it? All three models are really detailed, inspiring, and fun to build. If you are like me, and you have a weakness for Vintage Roadsters, The Lego Club bonus model instructions make the set even better. I rebuilt that model one afternoon, and pondered one aspect of its design - it makes use of some of the spare black and light bluish grey pieces from the kit to give the impression of a lowered soft-top roof. What would this model look like, if the roof was raised? I had a few spare bits that could be put to good use, so I decided to create a raised roof within the limits of my tiny bit bucket (and similarly-sized brainial gland). Here is the result! Now one doesn't need to consider British Precipitation when debating whether to take part in this year's London to Brighton Run. Huzzah! I'm quite pleased with the overall look, considering the limits of my available pieces, and the constraints on the geometry. The roof assembly actually tilts forward by a few degrees to allow the hinge plates at the back enough clearance. I love it when a plan comes together! The roof's tilt really complements the look of this mod - but it was a "happy accident". The windscreen's connection allowed it to be moved back, which created a gap below the black plates used for the top of the roof. The forward tilt for the whole roof assembly was now possible by using the spare red hinge bricks (and plates) from the main Super Speedster model. Just to make sure that what I was making didn't violate building conventions, I recreated it in LDD. The only thing I couldn't place was the black 1x4 tile below the rear windows. Download the LXF for yourself, you dastardly bounder.

    [MOC] Bowling, (WIP)

Hello all, Just wanted to share my latest (first) MOC....Bowling! I was playing around with LDD for the first time today and whipped this up real quick. Very simple and I plan to add to it. I used SNOT for the lane itself, but I want to add a seating area. I'm having a little trouble trying to figure out how to transfer from the SNOT lane to a regular studs on top seating area. Comments, criticism, questions are all welcome.

    All Hail The Hierarchy!

This model is a part of Ur-Quan Masters CUUSOO project lead by Glen Bricker. link I think that for many people across the world such a words like 'Star Control' and 'Ur-Quan Masters' are iconic. For sure, the games of Star Control universe are unique and awesome, and I rank myself among the fans of this universe. And I made an LDD MOC dedicated to Star Control - the Ur-Quan Dreadnaught.
