  1. Hello everyone, I am proud to assist my friends Sered (http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=81940) and Marco Cancellieri in showing the big A Song of Ice and Fire (know as Game of Thrones for the HBO show) diorama that we together presented at the ItLug Latina 2013 Lugfest. Some information about this diorama: it's 288 studs large and 576 long, making it 2,30 m large and 4,60 long. Sered, as you can see on the linked topic, did an oustanding and unflagging work in building Winterfell. That's so plenty of wonderful details that though the many pictures we took, it doesn't do justice to him. Here there are just a couple of pictures, please click on the previous link to enjoy the work he did: or follow the link https://skydrive.liv...5C5BAC70CE1!124 thanking our great friend Yugo Amaryl. Marco Cancellieri AKA The Chancellor, who always likes (and succeeds) to impress, went into another big job and build none other than the WALL (and Castle Black of course) Again, here are some resized pictures, you can take advantage of Yugo Amaryl's shots again to see them in detail: https://skydrive.liv...5C5BAC70CE1!123 Me and my friend Lothard McLotti went into building the Frey's Twin Towers. Nothing like the above, but nice result though: More to this diorama is being built for the next Legofests. As I speak, people is adding wanting to build another piece of westeros... what will this become? Thank you for watching from Italy!
  2. Mark of Falworth

    (LCC)[Moc] Restoring Justice

This is my entry to the 4th Global Challenge of the Lands of Classic Castle Roleplay. Mark of Falworth and his mighty host laid siege to the equally mighty Lenfel fortress that barred the way to Stonewald. After five days of constant artillery bombardment, the walls were breached only slightly. Just enough for two men to pass through at a time. The Loreesi had a severe time pressure, for to delay even for a week would give the armies of Lenfald time to gather in such force that there would be no chance of escape. So, Mark of Falworth hatched a bold plan. As there was no time to build a battering ram or siege tower, Mark equipped his War Elephants with short ladders so that they became living armored siege towers! And dismounting his Heavy Knights and re-mounting them on the elephants placed his finest fighters within easy reach of the fifteen-foot high wall. The infantry charged towards the tiny hole in the wall, which was thickly filled with furious Lenfels. To clear this obstacle they shot Loreesi fire from a portable tube-pump. The surviving Lenfels hastily withdrew into the courtyard. And on top of all this, five Areani Knights suddenly appeared out of nowhere behind the walls and began cutting down the astonished Lenfels still trying to defend the breach. All these factors combined led to the remarkably speedy overthrow of a castle that was once deemed impenetrable. And Mark of Falworth continued on his quest... ...For the Glory of Loreos! Also check it out on Flickr! And be sure to check out the Video! Thanks for viewing and have a great day! :)

  4. After hunting down the Hand in the swamps near Nocturnus, Kha was exhausted. His sister had died defending Starbowl from Victor’s elemental, and the pain was still fresh. Watch Sal, his passion is strong. The last words Aran said to him as she died. They burned in his mind still. What is it that she meant, he had thought. In the following weeks, it was clear. Saladus was consumed with vengeance, the only thing that he lived for it seemed. Growing up human, with the elves of Aridesti, Saladus had always seemed to be barbaric to the others. Kha knew that it was his humanity that made him seem so to the elves. The longevity of the elves, the lifespan of hundreds of years had bred in a patience, to some it seemed indifference. The Aridesti were a little different, the customs of their people held vengeance as a sacred rite after the death of a loved one. Still, their countenance was not that of the humans. And Saladus was a human in the land of elves. He was a brother to Kha, long before he married Kha’s sister, but still he did not know him like Aran did. Watch Sal, his passion is strong. Now, after traveling from one end of Kaliphlin to the other with Saladus, he had seen a darker side to Sal. The vengeance had driven him to cruelty. Truth be told, it was deserved by those bastards of the Hand. Still, that side of Sal scared him. Kha looked around at the harsh land they found themselves in. Behind them stood the Tower of the Hand, its jagged spires looked like claws reaching for the heavens to tear them down. Here on the borderlands near the Rakath Mountains, the desert met the twisted nightmare landscape of Nocturnus and Kha thought it appeared as if some disease affected the land tainted by Nocturnus and he could see where the infection stopped. The carnage around them was a result of the vengeance Sal so desperately sought. “Where to now?”, Kha asked. He knew the answer before he even asked the question, and said it in his head as Sal responded. “We continue to on to find Victor. I cannot rest until he is dead” Watch Sal, his passion is strong. As Kha looked around, he could see a shelter of pines near the base of the mountain. The large needle covered branches seemed to want to hide the ground beneath from something watching from above, so thick were the branches. “Over there, we can find shelter for the night under those pines.” As they walked across the barren land towards the mountains, Kha could see that there was an abundance of life near the base of the mountain where the pines stood. It was certainly not like Kaliphlin to see that much green life, and it seemed to mark the change in Guilds as well as anything could. As they entered the shelter of the pines, they were met by a woman dressed in brown spun wool. She was carrying a staff, and Kha noticed that she had pouches and poultices strung along her rope belt. “Our apologies for disturbing you ma’am….” Kha began politely. “No need to apologize Kha, it is you whom I seek.” The woman began mysteriously. Kha loosened his sword from its scabbard, a nervous habit from his many years on the road. Kha saw Sal look up sharply at this. “And you as well Saladus.” She finished. “I am Ravenna, a Druid of the ancient order. It has been many years since Historica has been this threatened as it is now from Revolword. In this time of need, we came together again.” “I thought the Druids died out years ago?” Kha felt a strange affinity with this Druid, but needed some answers before he could trust her. With a gentle smile, Ravenna began. “That is what we needed everyone to believe. It is best for us and the realm that no one remembers us. People like Revolword and the Hand do not seek us out and try to usurp our power, because they don’t know we are here. Yet, we have always been around and have had our hands in play for years. We have learned over the centuries that we are better set to help shape and guide from without, than to take direct actions in the directions of the Realm. However, now we have been forced to act. Many of my brothers and sisters have already met with others from the 4 different Guilds and the pieces have been put into action. Elon Chorian, deGothia, General Grimm Vexus, Darecold, Legonardo and Erudhalion Sansael are leading an attack on Victor’s stronghold at Dawn. Others are leading raids across the countryside on Hand strongholds. And then there’s you two.” Kha looked at Sal and could see a glimmer of hope there. Kha knew what Sal was thinking, this was his chance to get into Victor’s stronghold unnoticed and seek his revenge. “What is it that is left for the two of us? And more importantly, why all of this coordination? Is Victor really that strong?” “Not yet, but the powers that he could unlock with the Helm are limitless. His elementals are childrens toys compared to what power is available. Control of the elements has many manifestations, the elast of which is automating them as elementals. Giving life, taking life these are the real powers, but we do not believe that Victor knows this. As for you two, I am bringing you through the carnage directly to Victor. That is what you want is it not Sal?” “It is, and I will gladly accept any help you can give us. However, in preparation for Victor I would like to learn from you what it is he might be able to do with his new power. Might I learn from you as we travel?” Kha had not seen Sal so receptive in nearly month, not since Aran-Salath had been killed by the Hand. This was the Sal he remembered, cunning, smart ready for action. Something nagged at him though, why the sudden change. Watch Sal, his passion is strong. They traveled all night, and Sal was attentive to everything Ravenna had to teach. As the day dawned bright and clear, Kha felt that today really would be the day that Historica changed. The heroes from across Historica gathered outside of Victor’s stronghold and prepared for the assault. The castle on the borders of all 4 guilds seemed to have sprung from nowhere. No one remembered having seen it before. But how could they all have missed something so large! The assault on the main gates was intense and led by Rellik Nam of the Hand. Inside, Kha, Sal and Ravenna had made it into Victor’s throne room. “So, this is the rabble that has come to stop me? You send a distraction to the front gates and distract my forces so that you can take me out…..hahaha. This may be the best entertainment I’ve had in a while!” “Victor, the Druids have gathered and orchestrated this coordinated effort against you. You may find that you powers are subdued and your elementals gone,” Ravenna smiled as she informed him of his predicament. “And now you will die bastard! My wife fell to your thugs, and while I have systematically removed them, you are the focus of my vengeance!” Kha heard the anguish in Sal’s voice, but there was something else too. It seemed as if Sal spoke with hope as well. Watch Sal, his passion is strong. Sal, launched himself at Victor and in a spray of gore, his twin blades ripped Victor’s body into several pieces that fell into the glowing portal in the center of the room. Sal, slowly stood up from the ground and looked at Kha without any emotion in his eyes. “Now Kha, it’s time to bring Aran back to us.” “What are you are talking about Sal? She’s gone there’s nothing you can do!” As he was speaking, he saw Sal crossing the room to the throne. In a frozen horror, Kha saw Sal lift the Helm of the Druids and place it on his head. “You see Kha, Ravenna taught me all about the powers of Druids last night. Victor was a fool, he sought conquest and supreme power through his elemental bullies. But, the power in here that cannot be stopped is that of life and death. With this I can bring Aran back to life!” “Sal, you didn’t listen to me, you only heard the words I spoke! The power of life and death is not to be toyed with!” Ravenna looked desperate and started to approach Sal but stopped abruptly as if frozen. “The power of life and death. You see I did listen, and I know that I can remove your life if necessary, or just suspend it as I am doing now. I don’t want what Victor wanted, and I don’t want to hurt you. I just want my wife back, and I will not allow you to stop me.” “Sal, you still aren’t listening. When you play with these powers, things change. She won’t be what you remember, and it will begin and unraveling of the line between life and death that will blur those lines across Historica!” Ravenna was desperate, but Kha could see that she was powerless to move. “Sal, please….for Aran don’t do this!” Kha pleaded. “For Aran, I am doing this.” Kha watched in horrified fascination as Sal slowly put on the Helm and sat in Victor’s throne. Watch Sal, his passion is strong…. Just some shots of the interior build to show the size and how it is held together, along with the LED's and underlighting. So, here is the end of GoH challenges....I wish I had more time to do more. But, at least we have another round coming!

    Winterfell

Hello! I would you like to show my last MOC, Winterfell from The Games of Thrones. This castle is part of a huge diorama presented at ItLUG - RomaBrick Latina 2013 last weekend. Winterfell counts 16 baseplates 48x48. I have only this photo made with Iphone so the quality is poor. As soon as possibile I'll post photos with higher quality. @Ecclesiastes: I did it! http://www.flickr.com/photos/lord_tristan/sets/72157633362826707/with/8695347715/ Here you are more pics in high quality, thanks to my friend Lego_Amaryl
  6. This is my first build for Challenge VI, used quite a few techniques I've tried before and a new one that I haven't seen used by anyone else before. On the top floor windows I used plate modified with ring to attach the tiles at the sides of the windows because I'd ran out of headlight bricks. The neat thing is using those you can put tiles on the inner part of a 1 wide wall, the SNOT tiles also sit farther into the wall than those attached to headlight brick. Daydelon castle was built recently under the supervision of Glorfindel. After the elemental attacks his old castle was destroyed and not wanting to leave the town defenseless: Glorfindel ordered the construction of a new castle. Now he has rallied several clans that live in the mountains nearby and is riding out to attack Revolword: (scored build 1) And tons more pics including interiors here: http://www.brickbuilt.org/?p=73 After gathering as many men as possible, including Erikur and Sigolf Brimbane, Glorfindel headed for Cedrica. As the troops were passing through northern Avalonia they came across a small group of Avalonians. The group huddled together with the men on the outer edge when it first saw the army . Upon seeing the Mitgardian flag one of the two soldiers in the cluster stepped forward and adressed Glorfindel: "Will you give us aid? The fortress of Cameria was taken by The Hand of Corruption and Cameria has been ravaged. Only we managed to escape with our lives. You have enough soldiers to take the castle back, the army that took the fortress was not large and it is only several days travel from here." Glorfindel answered after some thought: "We will help you, we are on our way to Cedrica but every fortress is valuable." More pics: http://www.brickbuilt.org/?p=278 Glorfindel quickly planned the attack on the fortress and three days later the assault on the Fortress of Cameria began: (scored build 2) Defender's view: The dwarves and some clansmen attack the doors: Looking up the river, as far as I know the bridge design is new: waterfall: Armed with the element of surprise and outnumbering the defenders, the Mitgardian army soon had the fortress captured. Only a couple of the defenders were left alive, and only for questioning... This build was heavily inspired by Sirens-of-Titan's incredible Vostok Fortress.Lots more pics here: http://www.brickbuilt.org/?p=285 After taking control of the fortress Glorfindel and his officers interrogated the two Hand of Corruption soldiers that had survived: (scored build 3) The interrogation: The story these soldiers told was almost unbelievable... Only days before Revolword, with two bodyguards, had come to inspect the town and congratulate the Hand of Corruption forces on another victory: Little did the fool realize how near his doom was. As Revolword left, his own guards and the Hand of Corruption betrayed him: The two bodyguards left at once to tell Rellik Nam of the success of his plans. Revolword never realized Rellik, his supposed ally, was really using the wizard to further his own plan of dominance over Historica. The Hand of Corruption has grown strong while Historica has been weakened... Glorfindel realizing the importance of this event, after confirming the truth of the tale, quickly wrote to Elon Chorian: Then he gave the letter to one of his most trusted soldiers and sent him to find Elon: Revolword has fallen, yet the Hand of Corruption is stronger than ever before and seeks total control of Historica... Here are pictures of some of the other rooms not directly involved in the story: More detail pictures and pictures of the whole thing together here: http://www.brickbuilt.org/?p=399 And yes all these rooms are only one build, they all hook together to form the complete interior. All C&C welcome
  7. Built for the Heroes Guild level Master 1 "Your hero presenting the treasure and slain beast to the king" Mark of Falworth was finally able to complete his journey across the vast expanse of the Galaphona desert. He arrived at the capital city and proceeded to the palace of Lorean to see the Prince Jarius, who he had not seen since his return to Loreos from the magic isles. "Greetings, noble prince! I have brought you a small keepsake from the island of lost souls!" "Greetings, Lord Falworth! The prince said warmly as he stepped from his throne. "Why, is that the head of the mighty dragon Mindarus the cunning!?" "Indeed it is, sire, but he was not so cunning as you would have thought... for I killed him with a trick of my sword." "My goodness Mark, you must have a grand time as you go gallivanting across the world as a knight errant. Slaying mighty dragons, and defeating your adversaries." The prince said with a smile. "Yes, 'tis a noble calling. But right at present I have no errant, and there is nothing I hate worse than inactivity..." "..And that is why I have come to you. There must be something I can do for the Glory of Loreos! Especially with war recently broken out. Perhaps I can assemble a fleet, and raid the coasts of Garheim? Or maybe lead a surprise expedition south to the swamps, and crush the outlaws while they are least suspecting it...?" "Hahaha! If every knight in Loreos was as keen for action as you, nephew, I should be king of Roawia in a fortnight." The prince thought for a moment. "...but I do have a very important mission I would like to set you on. Do you remember when I contracted an alliance with the house of Wenseclaus to secure peace between Loreos and Lenfald?" "Yes, I remember, But the High Lord Godfrey Wenseclaus II died not to long afterwards without an heir, there was much civil disorder as the nobles of Lenfald fought to straighten things out." "Your statement is true, except for one facet. Godfrey Wenseclaus II did, and still does, have a legitimate heir!" Mark took a step backwards in shock. "What!? That is impossible! The reports from Lenfald..." "...Are not always as truthful as they should be, Mark. This scandalous treachery is, no doubt, the work of the evil baron who tried to seize the province after the High Lord died. The true heir was being held prisoner in a small castle to the south of Isil Oro and he just barely managed to escape some weeks ago." "I can still hardly believe it!" Mark shook his head. "Where is the heir now?" The prince smiled. "In the hallway waiting for me to call him in." The prince rang a bell and the door at the end of the hall opened, and a tiny lad of about eleven-years-old skipped towards them. "Mark, allow me to present Lord Chartres Wenseclaus, the true heir to the province of Lenfald." 'Well, welcome to Loreos, Chartres. I hope you have found it pleasant so far?" "Indeed I have Lord Falworth, It is good to be among friends at last!" The prince continued. "I intend to reestablish young Chartres to his rightful place on the throne of Lenfald." "A wise move, Uncle. Such a step would greatly damage the reputation and the cause of the ridiculous imp Triphian." "Indeed, but I am certain that Triphian, having ruled Lenfald for some time, will not give up his title and position to one younger then himself. So we Loreesi must be the force of justice. And I intend to put my best man at the front of this planned restoration." Mark's puzzled expression allowed the prince to continue. "Yes, Mark. As one of my most warlike and powerful vassals you are a perfect choice for the job." "I will gladly serve in any way you need me to, Uncle. But could you be more specific? " "You will take charge of young Chartres, train him in warlike exercises, and lead a substantial force into Lenfald in an attempt to restore him, the true ruler, to the people of that province. A third of the army of Loreos will be at your disposal, that combined with your own extensive forces should be ample for anything you might choose to accomplish." "I could not refuse such a glorious mission! Thank you, Jarius!" "You are entirely welcome, Mark! I am glad to have such a weighty matter off my mind, now that I know everything humanly possible will be done. Godspeed." And with that the prince returned to his throne. Mark of Falworth turned to little Chartres. "Well, lad, it seems we have much work to do." "Indeed, Lord Falworth! I hope we shall be successful!" Chartres smiled beneath his freckles. "I believe we shall. But first... we must find you a good suit of armor." Mark winked. You can also see the pictures and read the story on Flickr! :) Thanks for viewing and have a great day!

    [MOC]The Battle of Drearcliff Pass

Built for the "Epic Contest!" over on Flickr. The empire of Brigadar, with their usual ferocity and cruelty, took by storm the smaller nation of Lietemi. Few escaped the occupation, but a very few did. Including the crown prince Connura, who fled to the kingdom of Anselm for safety. The Brigadarians demanded that Anselm return the prince or suffer the consequences! Anselm refused to send the noble prince to his certain doom, the Brigadarians promptly declared war and attacked the knights of Anselm at Drearcliff pass! Can the heroic knights of Anselm defend themselves from the awful onslaught..... .....Or will they to succumb to the terrible knights of Brigadar!? See all the pictures in the Flickr set, or on Mocpages! Thanks for viewing and have a great day!

    Small tower MOC

Hello to all! I recently acquired another Lego collection off of Kijiji.ca, (a local online classified). I find there is a collection on there at least once a week, kids growing up wanting $$$ for things like laptops and smartphones... Anyways, this box had a bunch of Castle-themed pieces, including these great green roof pieces I believe are from a Harry Potter set? I threw this little tower scene together while I was assimilating his collection into mine. It's crude, but I like it, and it was fun to build during the sorting process! Have a great day Legopolis!

I haven't been building much recently (besides a couple of scenes for Heroica), but I built this small Castle Wall scene back in December. Enjoy! Thanks for viewing! Constructive criticism / pure praise would be appreciated!
  16. Hello, I want to build a huge fantasy era crownies army, but I do not know were to buy the minifigures. Does anyone of you know it? (please not bricklink, I tried that and it didn't work) Currently I have an army of 34 soldiers, I want at least 50, but I am hoping for 100 soldiers. I know, 100 soldiers is not that much, but I am happy with 100 soldiers. If anyone knows where I can buy them, please let me know. Thank you. I am hoping to get 100 of the soldiers in my photo.
  17. hello, I am planning to build a MOC and since it is the first time, I would like to have some pictures where I can see how it is done. Thank you.
  18. Castle Bladefall by mpoh98, on Flickr For the 2013 MocAthalon Team Theocracy. Category: 29. Tropical Paradise. It's cold outside, as Old Man Winter takes his toll on everywhere we all dream of warmer places. Build a tropical paradise you'd rather be vacationing at. Will it be a tourist hot spot or a deserted island? It's up to you, with no size restrictions, and as always the more detailed and creative you are....the bigger the points! Bring some beauty and warmth to those of us who are shoveling snow! As soon as I saw this category, I knew where I would want to be vacationing at....A CASTLE! So here it is! Castle Bladefall was an old english castle, and held its own against many enemies. Now, in modern times, it has been turned into a hotel, and is a favorite vacationing spot, with hiking trails, beaches, and forests to play in. The drawbridge and portcullis have been turned into a stairway and massive door. It contains many gentle wild animals, and some not so gentle. It has horse riding, and many other fun activities. Soli Deo Gloria!
  19. Mark of Falworth

    A Humble Crossing.

Mark of Falworth returned from the Magic Isles with the infuriated Desert Prince, who promptly ordered his lords and vassals to fortify the province from any outside attack. Like many other Loreesi nobles, Mark traveled north to the border of Lenfald. Moving along the river that served as the dividing line between the nations, Mark and his companions found a small and overlooked bridge. One of the knights remarked, "We could destroy this bridge, but then our cavalry would have even fewer places to cross over. Yet if we leave it be, the Lenfels or Garhims could have a whole army over this bridge and into Loreos in a day. What shall we do?" Mark replied with a broad smile. "Change the bridge so that we may cross at any time yet prevent our neighbors from doing the same. " "But how shall we do that?" "I will show you, step by step." A freebuild intro to my LC IX entry. Thanks for viewing and have as great day!

    Castle [MOC]

So this is one of my castles from a while ago (a long time ago) its supposed to fit in with the Fantasy Era sets. Its not really that great but that's okay. It has a working portcullis which can be raised/lowered from the upper deck. After being raised it can be held in place by a peg. I need to take it apart because i need the pieces for another model i'm building now. I would like to buy the pieces but as many of you know, money does not grow on trees. Anyways, if you guys want to give me some feed back that would be cool. Also, i know i made a mistake on the back portion of the castle but to keep the symmetry of the arches on the ends of the back, i over looked it. So avoid pointing that out... it will just make me feel worse about it :P. Thank you http://www.flickr.com/photos/93119516@N07/sets/72157632919577258/
  21. I recently got my old childhood collection back. I unboxed it yesterday and took some photos to share, if anybody is interested. If you have any advice or comments, feel free to post here. I have yet to sift through pieces. Everything seems to be packed up into these Ziploc bags and sorted surprisingly well. I think my mother must have done this. I have to say, it's so strange because my memories of my Lego collection are different from what is actually here. I remember us having repurposed paint buckets for our toys and the Lego was just kind of jumbled up in there, but what I unboxed here... it almost seems to be sorted by set, or at least theme. Who sorted this? I don't want to ramble on too long and bore you all, though. Anyway on with the photos. Here is a shot of everything together as it came out of the bin. Don't squint too hard, because I have other better photos with things grouped. DSC_0044 by ZeyaV, on Flickr I must admit, I had feared the worst. I was expecting everything to be a hopeless jumble, scratched up, abused. But I think we were pretty tame kids and my mom made sure we took care of our things. Rarely would we leave toys out overnight, and it would all go back in the bucket for storage. Sure, there are a couple plates and things here and there that are snapped. But by and large, this is in pretty good condition. Of particular note are the instructions. I would have bet these were long gone! I'm going to have to go through this over time, but these instructions are in good shape. A couple of the ones from way back that we inherited from our cousins are a little torn, but still usable. Again, don't squint too much/long at this photo, but here are all the instructions together in one shot: DSC_0030 by ZeyaV, on Flickr And here are the instructions laid out by theme. Pirates! My favorite theme, especially as an adult. DSC_0033 by ZeyaV, on Flickr And castle! Wow. There's quite a few large sets here. These were some really nice Christmas presents. I remember my big Christmas present at the bottom of my stack was almost always a big Lego set. Well one year it was an Erector set. DSC_0037 by ZeyaV, on Flickr Space! I'm fairly sure the classic space sets were my older cousin's, originally. I definitely remember the parts, such as the technic pieces that make a bendy thing and the brackets with side-facing studs, and the little rocket-like things that face down (usually used as missile cannons or something, hehe). The couple of Blacktron sets were mine though. Also 3 advertisement inserts that probably came from some of these sets. DSC_0041 by ZeyaV, on Flickr And two random Technic sets. DSC_0032 by ZeyaV, on Flickr And last item for the paper goods, the Lego Idea book. Inside, I found a sticker sheet, and one pristine sail from a Castle set. I think I got this when I was getting on the older side, maybe 12 years old, and I don't think I used this book too much. Hardcore video game phase. Spoiled brat. :/ DSC_0010 by ZeyaV, on Flickr DSC_0011 by ZeyaV, on Flickr Anyone know if those stickers came with the book? Edit: L@go confirmed that these stickers are in fact from the idea book. Okay, on to the gratuitous shots of bricks and elements. Keep in mind I'm just sharing photos at this point for anyone interested. I also want to say, this is going to be a long project for me to get these all washed and parted together. I'm thinking that 2013 and into 2014 are going to be light on the Lego purchasing for me. First up, here are all the baseplates (except maybe some very small ones): DSC_0042 by ZeyaV, on Flickr Those are 48x48 light gray baseplates. Do those even get made anymore? They're huge! Also, I'm not sure what the broken plate is on the far right, but it's got to be older, probably from my cousins. I have a dim recollection of snapping it in two as a kid. Lessons learned. On to bags of mostly Pirate stuff: DSC_0013 by ZeyaV, on Flickr DSC_0014 by ZeyaV, on Flickr DSC_0015 by ZeyaV, on Flickr DSC_0016 by ZeyaV, on Flickr DSC_0017 by ZeyaV, on Flickr DSC_0018 by ZeyaV, on Flickr And now onto Castle, which probably makes up 1/3 of all the bricks. So much gray. This is mostly that Basic theme stuff, and I'm hoping the classic space is mixed in there too. DSC_0026 by ZeyaV, on Flickr DSC_0027 by ZeyaV, on Flickr DSC_0028 by ZeyaV, on Flickr DSC_0029 by ZeyaV, on Flickr And that's all the photos I took. Like I said, I have my work cut out for me. My mom liked to use moth balls, and that stuff stinks pretty bad. It's all going to have to get washed. I know there's a thread here somewhere on how to clean Lego, which I'll read up on again. I plan to wash everything (gonna have to be a dishwasher or clothes washer), and then try and put together every set. I figure some of the really old ones like the Sea Plane and Classic Space sets might be lacking some parts, for which I might turn to Bricklink if it's not too painful. I might also try my hand at writing some reviews for these sets, if that would be welcome. But overall, I'm pretty excited. It's going to be a lot of work, but it should be fun. So what do you guys think? Please share any advice or thoughts.

    (LCC) The Purge Conclusion.

The backstory. The three "good" factions in Roawia, (Garheim, Lenfald, and Loreos) decided to join forces and "purge" the magic islands of their evil inhabitants, but things do not always go as planned... Prince Jarius of Loreos stormed into the agreed-upon meeting place, fuming at the lack of support in the latest battle. The Loreesi had gone forward with the attack, expecting reinforcements from their Lenfald and Garheim allies, but had been mowed down and slaughtered when none came to their aid against the heathen foe. He strode up to Lord Triphian and Jhirian Eindrik. He pierced their eyes with his flaming gaze. "How is it that the Loreesi must fight alone, while their allies bask in the shade?! I lost 300 of my best knights, while you all relax!" The Lenfel Lord, replied hotly "I remember nothing about being asked to help thee fight this battle! And If you had brought more soldiers, you wouldn’t have to beg for our help so often!" The now-infuriated prince unsheathed his sword in a flash, and it would have come to blows but for Jhirian Eindrik. Silent until this moment, he boomed "Now this is insupportable! Stay thine arm, desert prince, for you are among equals!" Piqued, Lord Triphian yelped "I can defend mine own self, thou over-bearded Garhim!" Jhirian Eindrik did not reply, but turned a deep shade of purple and sent the Lenfel leader a smoldering glare. Enraged, Jarius charged from camp and ordered all the remaining Loreesi troops to immediately depart from the magic isles... The attempted purge was over as soon as it had begun. Now more serious problems have arisen... war looms once again on the horizon of Roawia. ________________________________ I was also experimenting with taking a picture of a LEGO MOC with a real life background. That's right. No editing. Thanks for viewing and have a great day!

    CCCX Escaping from Africa

Part 1. I sailed out from Genoa with a feeling I would have some adventure and excitement on my voyage to the Levant; little did I know the vessel in which I was traveling would be attacked and destroyed by a fleet of Moorish pirates! I would have most certainly have drowned like my poor companions, but I just managed to climb aboard some wreckage. I stood up and looked about to find out where I was... That was my big mistake. A pirate vessel that had obviously arrived too late to help its allies, came up to where I was floating, and then one of the crew yelled in their coarse language, "Aha! By the beard of Allah, we are too late to fight, but look! Here is a wealthy Frankish merchant judging by his fancy garments! We can secure a large ransom for his safe return!" The rest of the ruffians grunted their approval of this awful scheme. It was then that I wished I had not worn my best suit… Part 2. After three days of sailing In the hands of the Moorish pirates, I arrived on the coast of what must be Africa, however, I didn't get a long look at the place for I was swiftly thrown into a small building with barred windows. I immediately began thinking of a way to escape. So a few days later, at the time I expected my guard to enter, I placed myself next to the window and pressed my face against the bars. When the guard came in I exclaimed, "Who is that damsel there? She is very beautiful, and she passes here frequently." The guard jumped to the window and looked out, As he did so, I slipped his dagger out of his sheath and hid it in my trousers, meanwhile I said, "Do you see her just going around the corner there? Ah! She is gone..." The guard stepped back and grunted, "I never get to see any beautiful damsels about in this wretched place!" He then lurched out of the room, but not without carefully locking the door behind him. Unfortunately for the pirates, I now had the means of unlocking that door... Part 3. The lock to my cell door easily gave way, it being so old and little used. As soon as I stepped out into the street I realized my uncomfortable position, here I was stranded without a penny in a pirate-held town in deepest Africa. I figured the best way out of this scrape was to steal a boat and make for the sea, I found three small fishing boats and the pirate vessel that brought me here. I sneaked onto the pirate vessel and found that it was filled with provisions ready for departure, so I raised anchor and sailed boldly out of the bay just as the sun came over the horizon. I praised the saints for my good luck and set my course for home! I can't wait to see the look on my friends' faces when I sail into Genoa as the captain of a Moorish galley..." The End See the set on Flickr. This is my first entry to the "Daring Escape" category of the CCCX. Thanks for viewing, and have a great day!
  25. My entry into Round 3 of the Middle Earth Lego Olympics. Grant Davis vs. Matthew Oh Category: The King of the Golden Hall The kingdom of Rohan is deteriorating. With Saruman's pillaging, Wormtongue's poisonous words, and virtually a zombie on the throne, hope is all but gone. Use your bricks to show us the rustic beauty of Edoras and the events therein. I had to quickly buy a bricklink order for the roof, but luckily it arrived in time. I had to order 345 tan slopes, and it wasn't enough!!!! Isn't that nuts! I have no clue what I am going to do with them after this round, whether I win or lose. I also heard that my opponent had to order too...this will be an interesting round. Thanks For viewing! Soli Deo Gloria! A rather artistic shot. :D The roof can come off for playability! The Interior One of the walls also opens up for even more playability! Thanks for viewing! Soli Deo Gloria!
