  1. This was my entry to the Medieval Husbandry category, of the CCC XII, over on Classic-Castle: Link to more pictures: Link All C&C appreciated
  2. Hi. This is the first time I've posted a MOC on Eurobricks, and I'm a bit nervous doing so given the high standard on here. But I've learnt a lot from seeing what the awesome builders on this forum create, so here goes. This is something I put together a few months ago. It started as an attempt to build an arched bridge with no arch pieces and grew from there. Hopefully whats happening is self explanatory from the title! ;-) Give Way to Wizards! Give Way To Wizards 7 by Magma Xenoliths, on Flickr (Edit 17August: Changed the first pic to reflect feedback about the original overview being a bit static) Original Overview: Give Way To Wizards 1 by Magma Xenoliths, on Flickr Close up of the "action" Give Way To Wizards 3 by Magma Xenoliths, on Flickr Reverse Angle Give Way To Wizards 6 by Magma Xenoliths, on Flickr No special techniques or anything - just trying things I've seen on here and online. I wanted to build something for the local Lego show as I've never built anything for it before so that will be another first for me. Thanks for looking. Edit: Album here for completionists: https://www.flickr.c...157654102415161
  3. Hello fellow AFOL Few days ago I decided to build something with the content of 21116 Crafting Box. I wanted to follow my "builder instinct" No instructions. I ended up building a sort of bridge. It looked suited for some Fantasy scene. I added few more bricks and I created this little MOC. I know it's not a great one but I had very limited resources for this project. Also this is my first MOC after a very long (about 10 years) absence from the Lego hobby, so any comment, feedback, criticism is highly appreciated. Anyway, here is a background story" for the diorama: "The Elves rule the Kingdom with wisdom and justice, bringing order and peace among the Land. Or so they claim. There are those who consider them invaders forcing their traditions and believes on the subjugated populations. Sometimes it’s hard to discern the hero from the villain, the savior from the conqueror. When doubt and contempt are paired with weapons and powerful magic, it can mean only one thing: war. The number of the insurgents grows each day. Operating clandestinely to avoid the inquisitive scrutiny of the “Open Eye”, one of the most dreaded Elven organizations, they fight to overthrow the current rulers. In a desperate attempt to capture the Elf Queen and force the Monarchy to sign a treaty, the rebels hired the infamous outlaw known as “Golden Terror” and the legendary “Clumsy Ninja”. By skills, bribes and a lot of luck they managed to sneak inside the “Temple of Five Seasons”. Relying on greater numbers the rebels plan to succeed but it won’t be an easy task. The Queen’s guard is one of the most skillful warriors, wielding a weapon that is stuff of legend and the Queen herself is a powerful mage. Who will prevail in this epic confrontation? " You can see more, high resolution, photos on my blog MOC: Protecting the Queen
  4. This weekend I had some time for Lego again, and started to build the bridge of a Star Destroyer. It is based off imagery from the Clone Wars series - especially the beginning of the season 1 episode Jedi Crash - but I guess I could also use it for my OT minifigs. I plan to make this one as big as my brick collection allows, which is now pretty huge already. I'd like to add the large room behind the commando bridge part shown here, and a level below, connected by two turbolifts. Here's what I've got so far. The outside is built very clean, and the windows look on the outside like here on the inside:
  5. I'd like to receive UoP credit for: trees [Landscape Design], flowing water [Hydrology], and river scene [Geography]= 3 credits Fossgard river is famous for its many waterfalls, the most prominent of which is simply called Fossgard Falls. Many bridges span the river, and Infernum and Glorfindel are now crossing on one of the smaller bridges... "What do you think we're up against?" Infernum asked Glorfindel. "No idea, but I imagine we'll find out within several days. The border isn't far now," Glorfindel replied. "And whatever it is, we'll make it wish it had never come into Mitgardia." This was my first time building a waterfall that splits, and I also tried a new tree technique. All C&C welcome
  6. Hello everyone, I started with a landscape 3 months ago. The landscape is 2 by 5 large plates (48x48) big. I wanted to create a landscape that includes every ninja set I possess. The landscape will be exposed next month in a shop in my hometown Hoorn. It is in the Netherlands. The link to the pictures. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=541308 There are quite a lot pictures. My first MOC I post on eurobricks. Sander P.S. I cannot upload any files. Files are too big.
  7. Hi there, I am new to this forum ... I recently acquired the bridge set 3774 (pre-owned), immediately I found the train does not go through the bridge, ie: stuck on both the incline as well as delcine1/2 on the bridge. In another word, it won't go thru. I had brand new battery and the wheels are clean free of dust or hair. Has anyone experience similar or any tricks and technique to make it run ?? Cheers ! -D
  8. Lord Brickington was finally back in Albion! He was on his way to see Rex. When he arrived on the outskirts he realized that it would be a busy spring day, thus the main gate would be very crowded. To escape the crowds, Lord Brickington went to a alternative gate known as Gaffon gate. No one but guards and a few Albion citizens were around and he liked that. ______________________________________________________________________________________ Yet another build from me. I will be building all week to make up for the next two coming weeks. Very sorry for the bad editing in the last photo. Enjoy!
  9. Rockwork inspired by ZC and kabel The Moorue bridge spans the Moorue river, it is currently controlled by The Hand of Corruption. Joktan and Jayan are sneaking supplies to a family of refugees: All C&C welcome
  10. A simple creation depicting the Bifröst Battle at the end of the movie Thor. I rather like how the rainbow turned out, and I think it's the coolest part. “What you seek is a bridge.” “Like, like an Einstein-Rosen Bridge?” “More like a rainbow bridge.” Enjoy ~Nemo
  11. Mark of Falworth returned from the Magic Isles with the infuriated Desert Prince, who promptly ordered his lords and vassals to fortify the province from any outside attack. Like many other Loreesi nobles, Mark traveled north to the border of Lenfald. Moving along the river that served as the dividing line between the nations, Mark and his companions found a small and overlooked bridge. One of the knights remarked, "We could destroy this bridge, but then our cavalry would have even fewer places to cross over. Yet if we leave it be, the Lenfels or Garhims could have a whole army over this bridge and into Loreos in a day. What shall we do?" Mark replied with a broad smile. "Change the bridge so that we may cross at any time yet prevent our neighbors from doing the same. " "But how shall we do that?" "I will show you, step by step." A freebuild intro to my LC IX entry. Thanks for viewing and have as great day!
  12. Thanks to de Gothia for letting me put this build in Benoic! As usual on the farm, there’s much to be done: feeding, watering, and milking the goats, feeding the chickens, and most importantly: heading back to the house for some breakfast. Lots more pictures here: Link C&C very much appreciated
  13. Riverwatch Falls A watchtower protecting a bridge over a wild river, situated just above a small waterfall. Semaphore tower with signal engineers, signal fire and drawbridge included. Built as part of a Local Challenge for the Lands of Roawia. More images in the flickr album.

  15. This MOC is based on the Transporter Bridge in Newport, South Wales. I built it to a LEGO Architecture scale as an entry to the 2014 Eurobricks Event: Architecture Contest. We had to build a local landmark. Ever since I was a child I always found the bridge fascinating, looking at it as we passed it on the road and operating the model that was in the Kingsway Centre. So I just had to build it for the contest. While I had hoped to build it out of blue bricks, some of the more vital parts don't appear in that colour so dark blueish grey it had to be. I also used embroidery thread to get the cables as correct as I could, regular LEGO tubes were too rigid to use and the string from sets was too thin. It seems I am not the only one to think it is rather representative of the local area since it also appears in the NATO Summit logo. A big thanks to CopMike for the custom printed (bi-lingual!) tiles I finally got 'round to posting it.
