    [MOC] (TLBM) Batman's stitching

Hi all together, after quite a long time of rather passive reading, I'll jump in at the deep end and share a little MOC-scene. Did you ever marvel (< ha ha, hidden irony in a Batman-post?) at the source of all these new weird outfits Batman showed up in the latest movie? Quite simple: lonley lounging around in his Batcave, some day while surfing Batstagram, Batwanda and Batsy, and after clicking through endless chains of related-videos in the depth of DIY-posts on Battube, he's got the trendy "self-sewn-bug". Thenceforth he tried out every single idea, no matter how crazy it might have been - he had to stoat it. Come on - which other way would have brought him a pink skirt in his size? You still don't believe? Have a look yourself - some source leaked exclusive insights of his studio to me: (Large versions of the images can be found in the corresponding flickr album.) Cheers Cris

    [MOC] TLBM - Catwomen`s 9 Livez

Catwoman usually sneaks around on Rooftops and dark Allyways, but what if she needs a fast Getaway on the Road? Well in this Case, she can rely on "9 Livez",a lean, mean Streetmachine. It`s the purrfect Mixture between Power and good Looks. The Hotrod is mostly Black but has some small Accents in purple. As you can see,i used some Parts from Catwoman`s Mighty Micro Car and from her recent oversized Bike. So,what do you think of Catwoman`s new Ride? 20170311_175618 20170311_175600 20170311_175510 20170311_175451 20170311_175443 20170311_175316 20170311_175101
  3. The author of the review wishes to thank The LEGO Group for providing of a set for the review! The author of the review wishes to thank VerSen for the Wonderful Photos and for an invitation to write the text for them! ;) The author of the review wishes to thank BaraSH for explanation of the differences between the Two Purple Ladies enlightment of I'm-not-a-comic-fan about the Batman universe! :) This review was written for Russian Fan Forum Lego (aka RFFL, aka phantoms.su) by me and translated into English for Eurobrick. The Lego Batman Movie 70902 Catwoman Catcycle Chase Review Set Number: 70902 Set Name: Catwoman Catcycle Chase Year Released: 2017 Pieces Count: 139 Minifigures Count: 3 Description: Brickset; BrickLink; Bricker;. RRP: $19.99 Price Per Piece: 14.4c This set is based on "The LEGO Batman Movie", which was released in theaters at 8 February 2017. According to the description of the plot of the film, Gotham City once again in danger, so Batman (alter ego of billionaire Bruce Wayne) is going to protect it, but on the advice of his butler Alfred he has to take Robin (Dick Grayson) as his companion, because the superhero adopted him on one of the secular reception. Together they will fight Joker and Harley Quinn, who escaped from the psychiatric hospital. There also will be many other heroes and villains the DC, and it is rumored that there is a chance to see the characters of other popular franchises (such as the Daleks from Doctor Who) in the film. The box and instruction On the box, according to the laws of Hollywood action-scene is depicted: Catwoman makes a U-turn on Catcycle, Batgirl tries to stop her using Bat-a-Rang, and Robin jumps from the roof of a jewelry store on the lamppost, trying to overturn it. However, if you look at the path of Catcycle it's become clear that Catwoman will be able to dodge both) Designers didn't forget to boast that a new type capes are able to fly an epic! Batman dashing smiles at us in the top right corner. The image on the instructions, as always, repeats the image from the box, but the instruction itself looks pretty well-fed for such a small set. Building in the process and random page of instruction. By the way, pay attention to the image on the upper side of the box - Robin jumps so that Batgirl could throw Bat-a-Rang at Catwoman who didn't expect such a dirty trick. I see that they have a great team! Or, perhaps, Robin simply slipped on the peel Bat-a-Rang. :) Unfortunately the set includes stickers - personally I don't like stickers, but there's nothing I can do.. But these stickers are are interesting ones! Firstly, an advertisement of the missing of a cat, which for some reason was photographed meows on the tree. I know who will save it) And secondly, a jewelry store sign is clearly reminiscent of the cat's head, and I somehow have the feeling that Catwoman decided to rob her own store. xD The minifigures In this small set there are three beautiful, very well-detailed figures. I can not help but notice that Robin deprived of utility belt with pockets... Apparently, he doesn't need the pockets, but the girls find these pockets very useful) On the other side the figures look great too. What a spine of Catwoman! If this torso wear shoulder pads, which hide a recognizable zipper tab in the form of a cat's head, you get a suit for cool superheroine of the future or a computer game, so this figure may be used in MOCs as well. Boots on the legsof the characters painted with back side too, not just the front and right and left, as before, that the obvious plus. This is because there are two layers of plastic. And about Batgirl I'll say that she have typical problems of many fem-cosplayers - it's when a ponytail sticks under the mask or helmet (that can ruin the impression of a stern armored robot). It looks funny) Robin (Dick Grayson) is the first Robin, who was taken into care by Batman after the death of his parents who was an acrobats. According to the comics, he has long helped Batman, then became an independent superhero named Nightwing, then became Batman, temporarily replacing Bruce Wayne when Bane broke his spine, then he helping Batman again, met with Barbara Gordon, at that time already Oracle rather than Batgirl, and in the most recent events he becomes Batman in Gotham, while Bruce Wayne becomes Batman worldwide. Robin, as well as Batman, doesn't have superpowers, but have the skills of martial arts, detective skills, and he is a perfect gymnast and a very good athlete. Robin minifigure is funny, especially the glasses. We immediately can see that the comical character is waiting for us in the film! By the way, he has two facial expressions - the smile is on both. Batgirl (Barbara Gordon) is the first Batgirl (except Betty Kane who was excluded from the canon), she was adopted by Commissioner Gordon, after her parents were killed in a car accident. According to the comics, she became a fan of Batman, and even built up a female version of his costume (decided to become a cosplayer xD), then saved Bruce Wayne at the ball masquerade, and later Batman invited her to join the team, ans so she has successfully fought against crime until while the bullet of Joker is damaged her spine, after that she became a hacker nicknamed the Oracle, and helps Batman and Robin by the radio, and the suit of Batgirl later passed to Cassandra Cain. Batgirl minifigure is beautiful from all sides, and now you will understand why. Just look at these shoes! Finally, the Lego starts to not just paint the legs on the side, but to apply the pattern on the side. These straps are perfect! Pattern on hands is less accurate, but also looks cool. Smile and wave! (c) Penguins from a film "The Madagascar" Batgirl has an additional face, it is angry. Catwoman (Selina Kyle) is a professional thief, originally an anti-heroine, and later a good character. According to the comics, she had a difficult childhood, and then she found herself in a orphans' home where cruel headmistress was a peculator, so Selina brought her to clean water, freed the other captives of orphans' home, and rushed to the thieves' life. She got her nickname from a jealous student of Sensei, which she shifted from a position of best student, then she inspired by Batman's example and built herself a suit. In later comics, and even in Nolan's film a romantic relationship shown between Catwoman and Batman. The combination of dark purple with silver - very good color scheme! Pattern on the hands of Catwoman - it's by far the best pattern on the hands in the set, and in general, IMHO, the best pattern on the hands that I have ever seen. However, it's a pity that it is impossible to remove the glasses in any way, as the second face (smiling) is also printed with the mask. Catcycle Catcycle is pretty stable, which is a definite plus for Lego bike, as they tend to fall on its side. Personally, I think he looks very stylish. By the way, if not the name of the set, then it would be unclear that it is CATcycle because there are no markings in the form of cat on it. This means that you can easely put Batgirl on bike, as according to the old films, she also liked to ride motorcycles. And note that she is also in purple suit! ;) Above view allows you to see the curved slope with a pattern showing a speedometer, which shows that the motorcycle has not gain speed yet) However, the speedometer still have cat ears... But this part is easy to replace, and then it will be just a purple bike, suitable for any minifigure. Main view and set functions So once upon a time, of the yellow-yellow dark-dark night Catwoman went to "work". On the way to the jewellery store she found an advertisement of the missing of a cat written by its desperate owners and the rare green trash container that appears in this color only in nine sets. So she walked around the store, the base of which is shown by masonry bricks 1x4, which is great, because it is a rare and useful piece, and because such a masonry at the base of the building can often be seen in reality. And Catwoman opens the door of the shop, which, unfortunately, is always closed, because the sticker "Open" is not included in the set. Maybe that's why she decided to rob it? :) Suspiciously glancing toward VerSen's camera surveillance cameras, Catwoman reaches for ruby, ignoring the diamond. Then she sits down on the Catcycle, which definitetly have not parked there before, so I am still inclined to believe that bike could belong to Batgirl. Cause the bike could not go by itself, isn't it? ;P And then on the roof and on the ground our valiant heroes appear! Robin cheerfully spoil the city property, overturning flimsy lamppost and Batgirl stay on the roof, as if hovering over it (I can not in any way understand how she stand, but it she is clearly stand higher than should, it's some cinema magic, not otherwise!), and watching him with delight! Catwoman's eyesight says "Again they are!". And now - a general view of a set, or "smiles at the camera!". :D Now even Catwoman is happy) Conclusion Pros + beautiful minifigures with detailed patterns, even on all sides of ths legs + rare and useful pieces, like a transparent door, green container and masonry bricks 1x4 + stylish bike that suitable not only for Catwoman + new type of soft capes are able to epic fly in the wind - what else is need for a superhero? xD Cons - stickers, which most AFOLs do not like to stick - no "Open" sticker, so the store will be closed constantly - no faces without masks, that means that the characters can't remove them This set is very, very cool, and will look great on a shelf of a collector! And finally, a little bonus shots) Bonus During the time we discussed the pros and cons, Batgirl flew somewhere) Apparently, she decided that Robin can cope on his own! Just look at this happy guy! xD In my opinion, he is not going to catch anyone, just having fun with a lamppost) Thanks for watching and any comments are very welcomed!

    [MOC]: ACE, "The Chemical Place"

ACE, "The Chemical Place" This was a simple build I created for Rebrick's Best of Batman contest, for the location category. This is my second entry into the contest; my first being the Catmobile. In typical Lego Movie Batman fashion, the un-mopped catwalk is the Red Hood's undoing as he soon finds he's transformed from simple crook into the clown prince of crime himself, the Joker! The build features the infamous origin of the Joker, as based loosely on The Killing Joke. While the front of the build features the memorable open vats of toxic chemicals, a prime example of good safety standards, the exterior features not only a representation of the ACE building itself but also a focus on the result of the Red Hood's slip on the catwalk--his transformation into the Joker. To achieve Joker's reflection in the water, I layered Lego foam mirror pieces from the Modular Line.

Here is a little something I knocked up of Mr Freeze looking after his beloved wife Nora. Thoughts are appreciated :)
  6. It`s already been a Month since i purchased the Catcycle Chase Set from the TLBM. I like it for the Minifigs, but i`ve never been a Motorcycle Fan (i prefer Hotrods, Lowriders, Muscle Cars,Customs or Classics in general). Sure, the usage of that printed Slope is outstanding, one of the big Surprises because usually TLC uses Stickers. Anyways,i was just thinking "what if Catwoman had a Car,and what would suit her?" I think a Hotrod fits her perfectly, they are small but quick and powerful and they turn your Head around,,,rawww! May i present you Catwoman`s "Nine Livez" (yeah,i know that Name is worn out and somewhat corny but it fits. TLBM-Nine Livez-1 TLBM-Nine Livez-2 TLBM-Nine Livez-3 I used the Hotrod from the Speed Champions Set as a Base and modified the Hell out of it. Special Parts like the 4 printed halfround Tiles, the printed 2x2 Slope, the trans purple round Tiles and the purple Rims from the Bike will be reused. The Car will be mostly black but with a few purple Bits build in (motly ones i already have or are easy to get). Windshield and rear window will be trans yellow (luckily i still have a trans yellow 1x4 from the classic Space Age). I also will use Parts from last Year`s Mighty Micro, that black pointy 1x2 Roofslope with printed Cat Eyes and the Tail (i think i have a second one somewhere....) for the Exhaust Pipes or...."Tail Pipes" :D So,what do you think of my Idea?
  7. Hi everyone, I'm RKastar from Hong Kong, this is my first review post on Eurobricks. Here come the speed build review video of another LEGO Batman Movie Polybag - 5004929 Batman Battle Pod. It includes 24 pieces and 1 mini figure. The first 200 customers who purchase HKD1,200 (~USD150) at Toys'r'us Hong Kong can get this set. This is a interesting polybag because it includes a "Pod". Check out the video below and you will find out what inside the pod. You can also check my Youtube Channel The Next Brick Thing for more upcoming videos.
  8. Hi all, I've got 2no 30522 Lego Batman Movie polybags for sale. This is the Batman in the Phantom Zone polybag. Asking for £5 each and will include free 1st class postage to UK addresses only. Cheers, Dean EDIT: Now both sold, apologies for the short life span! Mods - can you lock this please?
  9. My favorite Batman: Brave and the Bold episode is "Last Bat on Earth!". For the Best of Batman rebrick contest I decided to try to create a post-apocalyptic Batcave. I built a new ruined batmobile since I don't have one. I really like how the broken batcomputer came out. It's not entered into the contest yet. I'm debating whether I should do more or perhaps order some more bat figures since it is supposed to be home to humanoid bats.
  10. I recently purchased "The Lego Batman Movie: Making of the Movie". It has concept art, goes behind the scenes, and has alternate designs for the minifigures and vehicles seen in the movie. I definitely recommend it since I feel it is aimed at an older audience than some of the other Lego Batman Movie books. Some of the alternate minifigure and vehicle designs shown in this book were outstanding and others were monstrosities. Below are a few alternate villain designs I would have preferred. This Scarecrow design is unique and creepy and I love the scarf piece he has. His torso print is pretty basic, but the fear gas shooter makes up for it. The scarecrow minifigure we got is cool, but this one looks so much scarier. I really do appreciate the nod to the classic Lego crocodile in the Killer Croc big figure we got, however, this design is awesome. Maybe it is just because I am an Arkham Asylum game fan, but I think his face and collar make him feel more like Killer Croc than the current version. I wish they would have at least kept the bandages on the official Lego version. This Two-Face design looks like someone set fire to a classic Lego minifigure, I love it. I'm not a huge fan of the Two-Face minifigure we got, I do like how it is Billy Dee, however. This design, though would have me paying the $60 for that set. Oh and in case anybody was wondering about the Joker's alternate designs, believe me they are horrendous. So what do you guys think of these designs, do you prefer them to the current minifigures?
  11. Found by local fishermen near Faial Island - Azores, in the middle of the Atlantic.. Must be thousands of years, but very well preserved :) It was a three part challenge with a Batman Movie Minifigure: Vinhete, Vehicle and this one, "in real life" :)
  12. I can't find it anymore but I saw someone's Classic Space Batman and really liked it. I decided to build a Batwing to fit with the figure. It was done quickly so it doesn't have moving wings of flick missiles or anything.

    Need Help with Batman Keychain

Looking if anyone has spotted another odd variant of a Super Hero figure, but this time I'm looking for a keychain. This user posted receiving two blue Batman keychains both with gray hips. Seeing as one person was able to receive two, there must a few more out there. It may be harder to find another decent copy of these since keychains wear pretty quickly when used. I tried reaching out to the person to see if they would be willing to let them go but I got no reply back.

  16. Hello everyone !! I've been a huge fan of the Tumbler most of my life, it's my favorite Batmobile... mainly because this is the one i grew up with, i remember having set 7888 back when i had 8 and being blown away by how "accurate" it was (man i was soooo wrong). I eventually realized this and tried several times to make a Tumbler that was accurate and minifig scale specially after i saw the real thing back on 2012 this wish became more intense but i ultimatelly failed almost every time (You can actually see most of those in my Flickr page...please don't) something was missing... while i was on my free time (this is last year btw) i popped on the BTS disk of Batman Begins for the 100th time lol, the making of the tumbler featurette always inspires me, the whole process of how Nolan planned and how the made it work is just so amazing to me, so i gave it a last try.... fortunally for my own mental sanity... i did it. Here's my Tumbler, i tried to recreate every little thing i could while keeping it down in scale, unfortunally this is waaay too big for 100% minifig scale but i don't care lol. I know it's missing the gold bits near the nose, i re-created those with some levers which i actually painted gold i just switched them back to some black ones so it wouldn't hurt you purist guys concience Needless to say that all the angles were a nightmare to re-create, a fun nightmare non the less, all of them had to look perfect otherwise my perfectionist mind would constantly have an issue with it lol, that's why i call this the "Ultimate Tumbler" because for me it is what i would consider Ultimate within my own standards... now that i think of it, the title does sound a bit too clickbaitty for my taste,,,, ah screw it i'm sticking with it. Here's a side view of the thing. By far one of the parts i'm the happiest with is the back, sure the springs are waay to big and are not in an angle & the handle isn't as big as it should but i think it looks fairly well compared with the real vehicle. Now i hear you say..."Looks neat and all Prime but does it fit a fig?" and the answer is: Yes ! it fits two minifigs as a matter of fact. And that's about it, this has to be my favorite MOC i've done, it was such a fun ride to do and i'm really happy with the result, i actually uploaded this to the Rebrick contest Best of Batman so if you wanna check the page and leave a like and what not over there here's the link: https://www.lego.com/en-us/rebrick/view-entry?c_id={DE2F0F7A-957B-44D3-86D1-F329CD6323C8}&a_id=7f0150b1-5235-49de-a3f8-ac949f8f6739&sortEntry=true Now that the plug is over, thank you guys so much for taking the time to read this, so if you could go trought my usual horrible grammar and spelling well congrats ! Hope you have a great day ! -Prime
  17. Unfortunately nobody has responded to my original German-speaking question in another (German) Lego forum. I try it here: Hello Although I myself have quite a lot of nerdiness to me, technical interests and hobbies, a certain film genre and hobbies that a "serious" adult should not have (?), I can start with the whole superhelden area, the starwarsfilms and also similar series little. Somehow I find the stories boring, very simplistic, humorless, politically far too correct and often too simple knit. Therefore, my question to the older fans (older in the sense of: Having a family of their own, have already participated in the professional life for a long time, the first destiny and crises have brought about, interested in "real" social / political issues - not only image newspaper and Facebook ...): What fascinates you at the superheldenstory, whether film, serial or comic? What is so special for you on Star Wars and similar film series? (No, I'm not interested in why Star Wars is better than Enterprise Enterprise, Battlestar Galactica, or is not). Signature: My nickname which I use in that forum. This text I have automatically translated with the Google translator. Lapidem

TLBM - 1950s GCPD Police Car

Yeah, this Time of the Year you just can`t avoid Lego Batman, especially if you are a Batman Fan anyway. I wanted to build something for those GCPD Cops from the Battlepack and so i decided to build a 50s Style Police Car like the ones they used in the Animated Series. And since Policework in Gotham never sleeps, you can watch Chief O`Hara chasing behind a suspicious Crook. An elegant Hoodslide helps her to get faster behind the Suspect and in the End he was caught. The Car itself was based on the Taxi from the Lego City Undercover Game but modified to be used as a Police Car.I also added some Stickers to the Car and no matter if based on a licensed Theme or not, this Car fits any Lego City perfect, don`t you think? 20170215_192828 20170215_192836 20170215_192856 20170215_192918 20170215_192942 20170215_192958 20170215_193018 20170215_193101 20170215_193329
  19. Hello guys,I found this picture on the internet. I wanted to ask: is it real? I would be delighted if a Lego Batman set was released, which does not directly contain heroes. I really like the design of the policecar. Can you help me? When will it be released? How much will it cost?Thank you. Leaked Set Picture

    [WIP] [MOC] Arkham Asylum

Hello all! As promised in some of my status updates, here is my WIP Arkham Asylum MOC!! (Read the italics in a Batman voice ) Welcome to Arkham Asylum. Walk through the large wooden doors. (The clips holding the rails are skeleton legs. There is a security camera above. But first, take a look at the balcony above. (The grey tile should say "Arkham Asylum", but there's no such print ) Let me show you an aerial view of this place. This is what the inside of Arkham Asylum looks like. But before you walk in, you have to walk through the X-ray. All set. Now see that guy up there, on the second floor? That's Aaron Cash. Here are the two cells which hold the Riddler and Scarecrow. Here's a closer look at the Riddler's cell: And a closer look at Scarecrow's: The other side has two more cells. They hold Two-Face and Catwoman. Here's a closer look at Two-Face's cell: And a closer look at Catwoman's: And here's the eating area. You can catch a bite later if you want, except that the builder of this MOC hasn't built the kitchen yet. So that's my Arkham Asylum WIP MOC! I hope you like it! I do have one request. I don't know what to put in this section. I'm currently considering some crates. Any ideas would be most welcome! C&C welcome too! See you next time! VaderFan2187 out!

    TLBM : Bat Signal

Who doesn`t know the iconic Bat Signal? In pretty much every Incarnation of the Batman Comics, Cartoons and Movies, this repurpused Searchlight was used to either call Batman for Help or to lure him into a Trap. It even made it`s Way into various Lego Sets with the latest Versions being used in the TLBM Sets. They all have something in common:They look okay, but it still could be better. That`s why i took the printed Dish from last Year`s Batman vs Superman Set,some Parts from the TLBM Police Minifig Pack and many Parts from my Parts Bin. And voila, there it is:My very own Bat Signal Vignette, complette with a Rooftop,an Antenna and a little AC Ventilator that can be used to turn the Bat Signal. 20170213_200235 20170213_200242 20170213_200257 20170213_200313 20170213_200321 The dynamic Duo arrives... 20170213_200345 20170213_200405 Um das kleine Diorama abzurunden (und damit Batman was hat um den Enterhaken dran zu hängen) habe ich noch eine kleine Antenne mit Teilen aus der Restekiste gebaut 20170213_200427 Simple but it works... 20170213_200445 20170213_200513 So,what do you think of my newest Creation?
