    Nocturnan Travelers

With the war leaving many Nocturnans homeless, small bands of tavelers have been leaving Nocturnas unoticed. Having to travel through the swamps and marshes this particular group( and many more) are now headed towards regions of southern Avalonia and north western Kaliphlin. Daydelon Cottage

This is my Phase 1 build for the House category in AoM. This was a fairly simple build, I tried some new furniture designs and tried to make the house look like a common medieval cottage. Many new houses have been springing up in Daydelon, half-timber cottages with thatch roofs are common because of their low cost and quick construction. All C&C welcome
  3. This is my first entry for the Age of Mitgardia freebuild challenge After William, Maxime and Alexander walked trough the woods of Mitgardia for a few days, they decided that it was time to search for a place where they could rest. They were exhausted and needed sleep and food. They found a river full of fish and now they just had to find a safe place to rest. There was a big rock a few meters from the river and after finding out that there was a hollow space underneath it, they decided that this would be their home for the next couple of days. William climbed on top of the rock and had an amazing view. He could see that they were not far away from a little village, because he saw smoke coming up above the hills, but for now, they're too tired to travel further. William stayed on top of the naturally shaped tower to watch out for any hunters or dangerous animals. William Bright on top of the rock The hollow space underneath the rock, covered with leaves to protect them from unwanted visitors. Without the minifig. I'm a newbie to building MOC's and the small amount of bricks I have doesn't really compensate that but I hope that, with your C&C and these phase builds, I keep getting better at it. So, I would really appreciate any C&C from you guys Thanks for viewing.

    Crossing Lake Talon

Since rogueang released the Historica Settlements task, I've starting planning a dock scene and this is the ferry that makes trips back and forth between Vanguard and the mainland where the crop fields are located. The swift breeze rolls off the lake and blows in Headil's long hair. The young lad enjoyed making trips with his father to see the fields. Amidst the grunts of the rowers, Lenfel makes sure his son doesn't fall into the water that he stares into so deeply. Lenfel holding his curious son and Gela having drink after going to see Atlas. The Captain of the ferry with the plank used for boarding beside him. Reagan Lanthorn returning to the city with her guards. Eli enjoying the lake scenery. I mainly posted this to get another freebuild done before the first deadline comes and I think I might be able to get another private vessel posted before the end of the month. Thanks for viewing!
  5. As the light shined through the luminous windows, Sir Infernum could tell something was amiss. He could hear less laughter, less of the loud and joyous sounds that accompany an average Mitgardian day. Today he heard less of these pleasant sounds and more rushed, quiet whispers, rumors circulation through the city. The rumors spoke of the recent events happening near the border, of the sudden disappearance of warriors, noblemen, and workers, as well as the raids on small Mitgardian towns and outposts. The people wondered if these events could ever make their way to Arcium... Could they? As these thoughts passed through Sir Infernum's head the heavy door into the hallway slid open. In stepped a man dressed in traveling clothes, one that looked familiar to Sir Infernum... "Who comes there?" asked Sir Infernum's second in command, Rarghof, who faithfully stood beside his friend. The man flashed a smile, and Infernum's suspicions were confirmed. Infernum: Leave us, for a minute, Rarghof... Rargof: Of course. Infernum walked up to the man. Infernum: Glorfindel? Is that you? Glorfindel: Of course! It's good to see you my friend! Infernum: To what do I owe this visit? And why are you dressed like that, my friend? Glorfindel (face darkening): Elon has a mission for us... We're going to the border, getting to the roots of theses dark happenings... Alright, that's the story! Here's a few more shots! They're not as good as usual(I had to take them inside). Note the SNOT floors. Stained glass! Door. Hope you liked the story and build! Look forward to SK's next installment!
  6. Note: this build is a response to Kaitan's freebuild, which you should read first. Warning: violent content / images ahead Officials confirmed today that a number of Imperial peacekeeping troops and civilians were killed on Friday, when a bomb exploded in the sewers under their garrison. Witnesses described a chaotic scene, as the screams of the dying mixed with the shouts of surviving troopers, torn between treating their fallen comrades and securing the scene from further attack. The bomb's detonation, just under the surface of the street, left nearby troops with horrific injuries. Several troops that survived the initial blast died from blood loss before they could be taken to bacta tanks. Officials said the confirmed death toll of 16 includes 5 civilian casualties: 2 passersby, and 3 detainees who were being questioned inside the garrison. The regional governor vowed to hunt down and apprehend the extremists responsible for this dastardly deed. Already, several battalions of fresh troops have arrived and are locking down parts of the city. The longer term ramifications of this attack remain to be seen. ------------- Out of character disclaimer: Sometimes on the internet we don't come across as intended, so I want to clarify that this build isn't meant to be a personal attack on Kaitan in any way. His build was actually pretty rad, but ... I can't let the rebels get away with too much
  7. Built on the back of a crumbling old wall section no longer used, by-product of the expansion of the city, the Sultan's Plate is not the fanciest food joint in the city of Sultan's Gate, but it is one of the most popular. Conveniently located near a main circulation artery, the once dusty warehouse is now a haven for travelers and locals alike. The place is run by Laebon, an associate of Q'adris (the owner), an elf who was crippled in battle decades ago and found refuge and solace in Kaliphlin. What he lacks in muscular capabilities is more than compensated by his excellent social skills. Drop by if you are ever in the city and would like to experience a warm welcome, delicious wine and a fulfilling meal. Laebon Kitchen Overexcited Soldier If you have noticed the studs on top of the walls, those are for the attachable ceiling. For point matters in the Sultan's Gate community build, this build is small (<33x33). I would also like to claim the following UoP DoH credits (3 total): [General Building] Interior Design, [Anthropology] - City Life, [Anthropology] Life in Kaliphlin Edit: Added links to all pictures, added another image with roof

    Valdrfell Stables

Here is my Phase III Stables build for AoM. I'd like to gain credit for the following UoP certifications: roofing [Architecture], wall techniques [Architecture] (for the log cabin), roof rakes [Architecture], and raising livestock [Agriculture and Zoology]= 4 credits This was my first try using tilted walls (for the foundation of the tower), and I think they worked pretty well. This was also my first time building a log cabin using SNOT 1x1 round bricks. All three buildings have a full interior and all the doors/trapdoor function. And I tried using a dark grey background rather than white in hopes of having the snow show up better. Any feedback on that? Trained Great Wolves are in high demand and fortified stables have become common in Mitgardia. Valdrfell Stables is a fortified stables located in the Clan Lands of Mitgardia. The fortress has a stable inside, and a corral just outside to train the great wolves in. More pictures can be found here: link All C&C welcome
  9. I'd like to receive UoP credit for flowers and dense foliage landscaping [Landscape Design] = 1 credit. The second installment in the collab between myself and Infernum. Many grotesque happenings at the Mitgardia/Nocturnus border have been reported. Trying to discover what is going on, two Mitgardian soldiers were sent to one of many Mitgardian watchtowers at the border... "Look! The tower has been destroyed!" cried one of the soldiers as they came into view of what used to be a strong stone and wood tower. "And a Mitgardian soldier's helmet left speared on our flag," growled the other. "Come, we must report this to Chorian immediately," and with that the two soldiers set off for Valholl... I used a different camera for these pictures, so no more blurry sections from a scratched lens. All C&C welcome
  10. The walls of Stoneroda. The town had seen better days. It's destruction hadn't dimmed the indomitable Mitgardian spirit though, and the town was being rebuilt as a garrison for Mitgardia's soldiers. The current political unrest between Mitgardia and Kaliphlin reared it's ugly head, with a mounted Mitgardian soldier dragging a chained privateer in the colours of Kaliphlin behind him. Mitgardian soldiers up here have grim countenaces. Further along the walls a famous bearded lady of Mitgardia observes the work of stonemasons as they build the wall that will surround Stoneroda. Inside the town's walls, the atmosphere is cheerier, with the bustle of life in Mitgardia watched over by guards on the walls. A suave Avalonian woos a delighted Mitgardian woman with flowers in his favourite colour: pink! A dwarven weaponsmith works hard to supply Stoneroda's garrison with high quality weapons. In the midst of all of this, Lord Vladivus arrives accompanied by Necromancer Krell. His scouts have recently discovered the demise of Corocus, and has tracked the murderers to Stoneroda, where Vladivus is meeting a famed Mitgardian hunter- Sigvald Kabelsson. Lord Vladivus: "Greetings Sigvald, I trust you have the information I seek?" Sigvald: "I do indeed. It is a sad time, it would appear the Black Spire's reach extends far. I tracked a party of soldiers fleeing Nocturnus through Mitgardia. They passed along the road towards Avalonia. One of them carried a mighty sword that seemed to glow of it's own accord- such witchcraft does not sit well with me. I fear you may find the answers you seek in Avalonia my friend." Vladivus: "You're help has been invaluable." He turns to Krell. "Well, it seems it is to Avalonia that I must travel. Prepare the troops, and have them meet me at my ancestral home. This heresy must end." .................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................. So, a freebuild to explain my characters presence in Avalonia when the challenge starts. I went to Mitgardia, as 1) I wanted to build there, and 2) Some of the characters will probably crop up in the Mitgradia challenges, so I wanted to introduce them now. Obviously Stoneroda is kabel's town, so credit goes to him, I hope I've done it justice. I tried to channel some of his building style, without compromising on mine. Tricky. C+C very welcome, this is the biggest MOC I've attempted to date, and whilst I'm pleased with it, I keep coming back to it and fiddling. I'm more used to smaller MOCs! As ever, more pictures on my Flickr. Cheers.
  11. "We can't miss our meeting with the Duke!" Cried one of the two men, as he hurried his pace. "No need to worry we'll be there plenty early." Said the second man, who was beginning to grow tired of the first's constant worrying. "This could bring our trade company up a level! A deal with a duke, I can't believe it!" The two had been traveling for two days, from their hometown to the border Nocturnus share with Mitgardia, where they planned to meet, and do business with the duke in charge of one of Mitgardia's embassies in Nocturnus. "We're almost there! I think the bridge over this rotten swamp this just up ahead!" They walked for about five more minutes, until they were stopped in their tracks by the sight ahead of them. They wouldn't be doing any business with the duke today. " The bridge... it's gone..." One of the men said in shock. "This isn't possible, how could it have sunk into the swamp! These routes are always well maintained!" Then they saw it. On the other side of swamp, where the bridge used to lead, there were only two remnants of the bridge. All the rest was gone. Only two timbers remained. They had the words "KEEP OUT!" eerily scratched onto them... And under the timbers was the duke's hat... The two Mitgardians. The bridge. The whole MOC. This is the first installment of the collab between me and SK, entitled "Darkness in Mitgardia". Stay tuned for the continuation of the story, from SK!
  12. Here is my phase II Stables build for AoM. This was a fun quick build that let me try building some more viking-esque buildings, and try a pine tree design that I haven't used before (credit for which goes to Blake Baer). The stables has a full interior and all the doors work. Great wolves are common in the clan lands of Mitgardia and some have been captured and tamed. Great wolves are smaller than a horse, but are quite strong and almost as fast. A wolf stable is quite similar to a normal horse stable: There are some more pictures here: link Any comments/criticism welcome, phase III will be coming before long
  13. [When last we saw Olin and his trusty hose Sigrd, they were trekking sadly through endless snow, dragging their anvil behind them.] At one point, Olin was convinced that there was nothing but snow and ice, and there would never be green again. He and Sigrd the horse had walked in silence for days, hoping to find a village, a trade caravan - even a goat path would have sufficed, as it might have pointed them in a direction. And then... suddenly... a river, glittering in the sun and running with pieces of ice! And a bridge! And plant life of some sort! Olin's heart soared, and he and Sigrd made quickly for the bridge over the river. They stopped at the near side of the bridge. "Sigrd" asked Olin, "why is this bridge here? Is this even, technically, a river? I am pretty sure I could jump over it." Sigrd peered at the river, and then nodded his head in agreement. The horse approached the bank and prepared to step easily across, when suddenly: "Olin the Smith!" boomed a voice across the water. The travelers looked up in shock, to see a strange old man on the other side. "Hail to you, old man!" said Olin, who was impressed by the oldster's mustache. He was also impressed by his hat, which glowed blue and had some sort of a... feather? blue flame? ... on top of it. The man also held a stick which glowed a bright blue at one end. "How do you know me?" "Never mind!" boomed the man. "I know all that I need to know, and I come to make you a trade. I know you need money to pay the dwarves. In return, I need something of you. Will you do it?" Olin was about to ask what was being asked of him, but Sigrd stomped a hoof worryingly near his foot. Sigrd was very practical, and was not about to let this chance of treasure escape by foolishly asking about conditions and trades. Olin simply nodded. "Very well!" said the old man. "It is done!" Olin looked down and saw 2 jewels at his feet, a green and a yellow. When he looked up, the old man was gone! "That was strange, yes, Sigrd? But oh well, on we go!" He approached the bridge, when suddenly... suspicious looking fellows! "Ah!" said Olin to himself. "Another bearded person! Perhaps he can explain what that old man wanted." But before he could ask, the bearded one with the worrying-looking axe shouted "Take him down! He serves the old man!" Before the smith knew what was happening, one of the three rushed onto the bridge, and came screaming at him waving a huge sword that, very obviously, had not seen the care of a good blacksmith! Olin fell back onto the bridge, dropping his hammer. This was trouble! But then: help, in the form of an angry Sigrd, who splashed into the stream river and bounded over the bridge, knocking the assailant off - and knocking him out! In the meantime, Olin scrambled off the bridge and retrieved his hammer. With all the might a confused blacksmith can muster, he swung and laid out the attacker with the mace. This second assailant floated away slowly in the cold water. At this point, the bearded gentleman - presumably the leader of the ruffians - decided he had had enough. He turned and fled, dropping his axe and a piece of parchment as he ran! Olin tried to pursue him, hammer held proudly high, but in the end he decided against it. After all, he had not eaten properly in a few days, and Sigrd would want to be getting along on their journey. Instead, he picked up the axe - the haft of the axe would serve nicely for his hammer, giving him a better grip - and he tucked the parchment away in his bad. He recognized the writing as some kind of clan runes, but he could not read them. "So many mysteries!" said Olin. Sigrd snorted, to remind Olin that the greatest mystery of all was where they might find a good meal. The two companions traveled on, following the river towards what they hoped was a town.

    Small Help

See the previous tales: Wyndor's Saga Chapter 1 Part 1: A Tragic Beginning Part 2: A Rude Awakening Part 3 Intro: An Evil Plot Part 3: A Timely Friend Part 4: Small Help (Momments after this picture was taken, the man walked back into his house and we join Wyndor on his journey.) Wyndor didn’t know if more Black Spire troops would arrive or what other evils dwelt in the church so he and Steiner made a sled to carry the unconscious Natolyth and started trudging through the swamplands. After an hour of dragging Steiner said, “Ah, I’m not so good with directions **muttering under his breathe: though you’ll never hear me admit it** but we are heading north to Mitgardia right?” “Honestly, I haven’t given our direction much thought. I’m just trying to find someone to help us,” responded Wyndor. “Here, this house looks inhabited, maybe its occupant can help us.” They crossed the small stream and made their way to the small cottage. Steiner knocked on the door and a small man answered. “Hello, may I help you?” The man asked. “Yes,” responded Wyndor, “We are not native to Nocturnus and have run into a bit of trouble. My brother here is very ill. We would be indebted to you if you would help us.” “Certainly good sir, I would never turn away a traveler in need. Balor the midget, at your service.” He said. “Midget!” Steiner exclaimed, “You’re no midget! They’re just fairy tales! You must be a dwarf **muttering under his breathe: Yes indeed this dwarf is an imposter!**” “I assure you good sir, I am indeed a midget. Perhaps you have been listening to lies by one Mister Jackson. I’ve heard that he is going around telling people that dwarves wear short stubble for beards instead of growing them out as all dwarves do unless they are exiles,” Balor explained. “I am neither an exile nor one of Mister Jacksons fictional characters. And as you can see, I have no long beard, and therefore my claim of being a midget is true.” “I don’t mean to interrupt this important argument,” Wydnor said, “but my brother desperately needs a physician!” “My deepest apologies good sir, please bring him inside my humble abode. I am fairly adept in the art of healing and will do my best to assist your poor brother,” Balor responded. After a couple days Natolyth was back on his feet. He had over exerted himself trying out his newly gained magical knowledge and simply needed rest and a few herbs. Edea’s brainwashing had allowed her to use Natolyth for her own means, but also had the advantageous effect of leaving her knowledge of spells and magic imprinted on Natolyth’s memories. He had fully regained his faculties and was still able to cast magic. “Now that Natolyth is back on his feet **muttering under his breathe: and looking a lot less evil than before**,” Steiner said one morning, “shall we make our way back North, Wyndor?” “Nay, I must still find my other lost brother,” Wyndor responded. “Balor and I have been taking and he has heard rumor of a strong Mitgardian fighting in Kaliphlin. He started fighting around the same time as my brother’s disappearance. I have no other leads on my brother’s whereabouts so I must needs travel to Kaliphlin.” “I wish you well Wyndor. It has been an honor to fight at your side but I must return to Fangnorst **muttering under his breathe: surely they have missed me and will rejoice to see me return!**” said Steiner in reply. “Here, I want Skandi to travel with you. He has been my faithful owl for many years. If you have need of aid, send him with a message and he will find me.” Turning to Balor he said, “Fairly well good Balor. I think you for your hospitality and if I ever I should meet this liar, Mister Jackson, I will defend thine honor.” “Thank you Steiner,” Balor answered. “It has been my pleasure to assist you in learning the differences between my kind and the dwarves.” With that, Steiner set off to the North. Later that day Wyndor and Natolyth took to the road as well, heading West to Kaliphlin. OoC: All feedback is welcome!
  15. Hi all, today I'd like to present my first MOC for the 2014: A ruined bridge in the swamp. For the architecture style I was inspired by Erebor and Dol Guldur's architectures from the film The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug; I like them and I will use them again in the future. Thinking about Dol Guldur, I tried to build a ruined bridge sinking in a swamp and I think it came quite well. As a part of DoH program, I'd like to claim: 1 credit for trees (the tree on right, taken from Derfel Cadarn's guide to build a medieval village), 1 credit for studs up rocks and cliffs and 1 credit for Geography: Swamp. Enjoy!
  16. Here we are, this is my first SoNE freebuild and I'd like it will be judge. On Nar Eurbrikka, the rebel cell with the trooper Wedge09 is planning a mission in the north to recover a transmission control unit lost in the ice. Away from prying eyes, the squad is having the last briefing before the mission; while the trooper Wedge09, his command officer and another experienced soldier are having the briefing with the general in the upper floor, the other two members of the squad is preparing their equipment on the main floor. Hope you like it, C&C are always welcome and enjoy!
  17. There once was a king in Historica, who wanted a new weapon. He ordered a powerful wizard to make him a tube of some kind that shoots tiny arrows very far. "Ok, I will see what I can do", the wizard said. He went home and started experimenting. "Nope, this isn't good", he kept mumbling to everything he made. At last he invented something that gave a small explosion. "That is good, but it needs a bigger explosion". So he went back to the king and asked him to give him more money to research. The king was getting impatient and said: "I want that new weapon by the end of the week. If you haven't finished it by sundown on Sunday, you will be killed." "Good luck with that, but I still need that money". The king was getting angrier and angrier, but he gave the wizard a chest full of shiny things. "Go now, and finish that weapon!" The wizard went back to his house, and he accidentally put a little bit too much of everything in the cauldron. When he put the last ingredient in, the whole thing exploded with a very loud bang. "Oops". The wizard was dead. When the king send his men to capture the wizard when he didn't show up with the weapon at sundown on Sunday, the found only ruins of the house of the wizard. They went back to the castle to report it. The king was very angry and he grabbed his sword, killed the guards and then killed himself with his own sword. After him nobody wanted to make guns, remembering all the horrible things that happened last time. Not only were the wizard, the guards and the king dead, the whole city was infected with the smoke and almost everybody died a slow and painful dead. Later generations were talking about the Black Dead, as all the victims were covered in black boils. Nobody wanted to create that again. Now you know why nobody uses guns in Historica. Hope you liked it! Check out my Flickr to see more pics.

    [SoNE] Safe in a can

Repairing the speeder took quite some time and the heat was getting unbearable in the armor. I found out that the two troopers were clones and for that they complained quite a lot about the way the Empire handles troopers. They both agreed that the battle conditions on Hoth were the worst ever by far. I guess I was lucky that time having the knowledge of radars and navigation I was put on an AT-AT bridge. Hope you guys like it, C&C welcome and I'd like this to be judged

    The Town of Daydelon

This is an entry for the Medieval Town category of the Colossal Castle Contest. My younger brother, whose builds I often post in Historic Themes, helped me build this. There are three buildings in the scene: a bakery (the red building), a inn (the tan building), and a church. All the buildings have full interiors and all the doors work. I'm quite pleased with how this turned out and it will be staying together a bit longer than my builds generally do (a few days at least ). I'd like to receive UoP credit for: half-timbered Tudor style [Architecture], stained glass [General Building], and city scene [Anthropology] = 3 credits Daydelon has become a very busy town. The church in the center of town has had many new buildings spring up around it, including a bakery and inn: To see more pictures go here All C&C welcome
  20. I practiced with terrain slopes, and decided to put an entire castle around it. Here is the finished result. Alfadas Mandredson is travelling again, and this time he brought a few Mitgardian soldiers with him. Offcourse he needs somewhere to sleep, but he is not welcome everywhere. His reputation proceeded him and about every soldier in the castle was called to action. Hope you like it, and please comment! The dungeon with a captive orc and skelleton. And ofcourse the orc got a weapon, killed a guard and is chasing another one. O, and the dungeon is also used for wine. The guard is a rookie, so it is about the first time he sees an orcs, and will it be the last time? Another level down, the dwarfs. And what are dwarfs without some shiny gold? And another level down, the orcs. Give me my yummy chicken back! Ha ha, poking human is very fun! That's it. Hope you liked it!

    Dwarves Dropping Eaves

Guests were traveling from every corner of Historica for Damaxius' grand celebration and the dwarves of Mitgardia's southern mountains were among the throng. As much as they loved to party, they hated big political affairs such as this one far more. In spite of this, the prospect of forging new trade relationships would have been enough to set their caravan on its way to Kaliphlin but for this trip they had far greater motivation. When the rumors spread that some of the most detestable figures in Historica would be smuggled in for the party it sent shockwaves through many political circles. Many of the elf lords of Avalonia were livid and refused to attend in protest but the dwarves saw in this rare gathering an opportunity. Long had they hated the Drow with a passion to rival the elves and many years they spent sealing the gaps between the roots of the mountains to prevent Mitgardia from being defiled with the countless tunnels that lay hidden and twisted beneath the rest of Historica. Lately, the Drow had been ambushing trading caravans; leaving most of its cargo but taking any surviving dwarves to the Underdeep. With whispers of war brewing in Nocturnus, the dwarves hoped to catch a glimpse into what mischief the Drow were planning and what evils might lay in the deep shadow of the east. Khor went to the party and talked to a few of the movers and shakers of Kaliphlin; finding more than a few overeager to agree to new trade relationships thanks to the strong Dwarven ale. A couple of days later when the city reopened for business as usual, he went about delivering some of the ale he had brought in expectation of a buyer and prepared a timely accident. I had a hose sticking through the ground and coming out beneath the table but I lost it outside somewhere when I went to take pictures... The wagon: The minifigs: As always, C&C wanted and thank you for looking.

    Kaldrfell Castle

Well here is what I've been working on for just a bit over a month: Kaldrfell Castle. I took inspiration from many different castle builders, but here are some that inspired specific sections or details in the castle: Ecclesiastes, Kayne, Eklund, peggyjdb, Buurli Burri, Andhe, and legonardo. There is a full interior in every building, and the keep lifts off and hinges open. Also every door/trapdoor, and the drawbridge and portcullis are all functional. Interior buildings inside the castle include: a smithy, servant's house, stable, and chicken coop. And I think I came up with a new archer slit design, it can be seen on all the buildings except the rounded tower. Basically you center a 1x3 arch so that it has a half stud offset on each side and the use brick modified with stud to hold tiles to fill the gaps. You could make pretty much the same windows with going to the bother of centering them, but I like the texture you get when you do. The pictures should explain the design much better than this description. Kaldrfell Castle looks out onto a small lake in the Heavenly Mountains and protects the city of Kaldrfell which is built around the lake. Lord Nordan and Lady Deonne, Glorfindel's parents, rule Kaldrfell. Here Glorfindel pays them a visit: There are tons of details so be sure to check out more pics here: link All C&C greatly appreciated
  23. Read Part 1 HERE, Part 2 HERE and Part 3 HERE. "The apple tree that had stood watch over the grave burned, it's death sending a smoky signal into the sky. The wind was still, not even daring to fan the flames that flickered from the leaves. Blood stained the ground, running in rivulets away from an elderly Nocurnian, the shining red liquid reflecting the horror of the creatures desecrating the grave; a hunchbacked raven, an Avalonian warrior, and a soldier of the Hand of Corruption, bearing the colours of the Black Spire. Raven: "This is the resting place of that which we have sought for all these years. I cannot believe the guardian thought he could defend it." The raven gestured to the Avalonian warrior. "Sir Natas, if you had simply killed the woman and her damned child, you would now be in a position to make a play for the Avalonian Leadership. Ravaage is displeased. It is only the lack of other Avalonians willing to follow Ravaage that has kept you in the running for this. Consider yourself incredibly lucky." Sir Natas: "M'lord Zurias, I swear my fealty to Ravaage once again. I will not make another mistake." Zurias: "See that you don't. The sword, it is a symbol of the right to rule in Vladivus home in Avalonia, but the foolish half-breed doesn't realise it's significance." Sir Natas: "Yes m'lord." Zurias: "Take it. Feel it's significance in your hands." Sir Natas took the sword from the mess of bones in the ruined grave, hefting it in his hand. As he looked closely at the blade, an inscription in Elvish was apparent, describing the bearer of the sword as entitled to rule a land in Avalonia. Sir Natas: "It feels good. It is well made this sword. A true relic of the times before Avalonia and a united Historica." Zurias: "Leave the reminiscing, you have work to do. Gather your men, and travel to Avalonia. You must set yourself up as a ruler of lands. Plans are coming to fruition. Do not fail us. You will regret it. Go now, and with haste." The group dispersed heading out in opposite directions, each heading towards inevitable encounters..." This is the final build for my story of Lord Vladivus, and predominantly sets up what will hopefully be my storyline in Avalonia when the Book II challenges reach that guild. It also introduce Zurias, who is going to become a sort of nemesis for Vladivus. C+C welcome.

    Nordheim Village

Legonardo inspired the roofs of the houses and Eklund inspired the roof on the well. I researched vikings a bit for this build and tried to make the houses historically accurate. There is only one room in each house and the deep benches serve both as seats and beds. Each house has a fire and a hole in the roof to let the smoke out. The children in the build are doing some of things most common for viking children: the boys haul water, learn carpentry, and practice fighting, while the girls help cook and weave wool. The village of Nordheim lies in the Clan Lands of Mitgardia: There are more pictures here: link All comments/criticism appreciated Also I'd like to receive UoP credits for: wall techniques (wooden walls) [architecture], village life [anthropology] = 2 credits

    Fortress Illing'vress'ive

In a huge cavern below the rakath mountains, across the lava sea with lava falls, lies the ancient home home of the house Baen'und - fortress "Illing'vress'ive". Due to it's unique location it was never conquered, and it is very unlikely that it will ever be attacked.
