So, what do you think was the worst constraction set (just singular set, not line or wave, just a singular set.) from BIONICLE and Hero Factory? I namely want to see the worst in terms of poor design, not piece to price count or those other things. Just worst looking construction set. Galidor doesn't count.

Well, I've decided to venture outside of my comfort zone in Technicland, and post some of my stuff here. I've got a number of small and medium size Bionicle and Hero Factory creations that I feel do not justify their own threads, so I'll post them all in this thread. My first thing for this thread is a Bionicle update of a Galidor alien called Ooni. I have no idea if that is the name of the species, or the individual, or whatever, but i kind of like the freak. Ooni is also the only Galidor set I own, and I have a number of fond memories of playing with him. My copy is complete, aside from the other head. If I recall, there was no configuration of Ooni that looked good, and used all of his parts, so that was quite annoying. Anyway, I originally created this thing for the Battle For The Golden Mask contest, but as I was ineligible to enter, he was put in storage until I brought him out now. If I were to enter him, I would have given him a backstory involving being a horrible, twisted freak of nature from another dimension, who has a touch that causes everything around him to mutate horribly. Anyway, on to pictures. Bionicle Ooni by Saberwing007, on Flickr I kept all of his major features, including his weird jaws, color scheme, 4 arms, 4 legs, and 4 eyes. Ooni Details by Saberwing007, on Flickr Given that the small arms on the original are more mechanical looking, I did the same on mine, with the Glatorian fists in DSG. Also, this is literally the most dynamic pose I could get out of the original Ooni, as he is not really good for that, though not for the ratchet joints so much as weird proportions. There is probably going to be more creations to come, and if anybody wants instructions or more pictures, just let me know.

Constraction-class Recon Combat Mech by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr Not much to this really. I liked Hero Factory's final year where they ventured into mechs, and when I saw that the mech windscreen was to come in a new colour, Trans-Neon Orange, in the DC Super Heroes Black Manta set, I knew I had to build a CCBS mech using it. Here's my result. This is actually the first CCBS mech I have built from scratch rather than just slightly modified (even the Stringer Sonic Machine was a mod based off a polybag set), and I built it as to serve a sort of tribute to HF's final year. Positive and constructive comments are more than welcome. In case anybody asks, that's a minifigure form of my avatar in the cockpit. Oh, and I am aware of the contrasting colours in the gatling gun ammo - I forgot to change it out for trans-orange studs before taking the picture

How come we can't download the song "Breakout" from Hero Factory's website? I mean, think about it. We could download Bye Bye Babylon, Gravity Hurts, Closer To The Truth, and Face Me from BIONICLE's website. So why can't we download CryoShell's Hero Factory song? Also, what happened to Hero Factory FM?

Didn't see a thread like this, so I decided to make one. The title is pretty self explanatory, if you have any pictures of constraction, whether it be dioramas, poses, seasonal, etc. Feel free to contribute. Something seasonal I put together. Here we have a small group of bionicle characters who have set aside their differences to celebrate Christmas. Experimentation with lighting effects. I kinda like it. So those are mine. Which is better - BIONICLE 2015 or HERO Factory?

So I've been using Bricklink quite often since I got my debit card a couple of months ago. I love it, it's a fantastic service! But I've noticed something about how they list parts in the CCBS. They title the parts' entries as "Hero Factory XYZ", much like Technic parts are titled as "Technic XYZ". Now while it makes sense that this is the case (Hero Factory was the first CCBS line), I feel that now, the CCBS is much more universal than just being "the Hero Factory system" - especially now Hero Factory is (as far as can be foreseen) dead and gone. So in that case... Shouldn't CCBS parts be listed as "CCBS XYZ" now? Well, I've contacted Bricklink through their helpdesk on this subject. Here's what I wrote: Do you guys agree with my sentiments? Or do you think I've gone overboard with my nerdiness?

Can't believe that this hasn't been a major topic before. Heck, it might've been, it's just been buried under other things since then. Nevertheless, what is your favourite combiner? I'm not asking for the best one, because clearly, that is Gaardus! Don't deny it, he is a work of art. As for my favourite... Well, I rarely got enough sets from a wave to build a complete combiner. I certainly never acquired enough titans to do so (And if I did, I wouldn't have dismanted them to build it anyway. My titans only get dismanted when I cannibalize too many parts to repair them) So my favourite is actually Bohrok Kal Kaita Za. He was the first one I had all the components for, but even then, I could work out what went into him just from the picture of the completed model in the back of Tahnok Kal's instructions, so I built him before I even got the arms, with Gahlok and Lehvak replacing them. Once I did have him complete, he was just fun to play around with, and easy to return to his unmerged form. However... Lava Hawk is adorable. So, what's your favourite?

Look guys, I made a HF MOC! This fellow is extremely originally named Crab Beast. I wanted to make something to fit the current HF theme... For some reason, I don't know why. Probably because giant humanoid sea monsters are cool? Or because I always wanted to use that cool marbled Carapar head? And the Dinosaur heads as pincers? No when I think it, "The Mollusked Menace" would have been better name. But at least this has HF vibes on it. Some more babbling on Cyclopic Bricks as usual. I like feedback, by the way. Feedback is nice. Anyway, enjoy.

Well, I have loved Zoids nearly as long as I have loved LEGO. This is the latest creation from the fusion of these loves. I loved the look of the Hero Factory parts once I had a go at them and after a lot of trail and error I managed to create this Heroic Zaber. A mixture of regular technic, some basic LEGO clips/pins etc and plenty of *pleasepleasepleasework* resulted in my (so far) greatest success. I styled this one after the stalwart Zaber type Zoids as they are my favourite (Up the Empire!). I should have some close-ups to parts once I can get Brickshelf to work for me...

Hi, I just finished up a prototype of a Megazord/Voltron style Hero Factory giant mech. And it doesn't look that great when combined. It's bulky and awkward. Any tips for improving? (I'll try to get pictures of it up if I can.)

So... I've been hinting at this in my signature for a while and the MOC itself is coming along nicely, so I thought I'd make a topic about it. I'm currently working on a head for it, and I wasn't sure which head to use on an MOC that's going to be almost 50cm tall, and bulky - traditional or built from scratch: Hero Factory MOC - Beastfather head ideas WIP by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr I'll reveal the rest of the Beastfather MOC in due course, but for now, I'd like to seek opinion on which head I should use, so please leave your thoughts either here or on Flickr (though here is probably easier ) The one on the left is still a WIP, but it's finished enough to show so you get the idea. I plan to have the rest of the Beast with a black, pearl dark gray, gold, trans-bright green and orange colour scheme, with the dark colours taking dominance, in case that helps.

For some reason I fancied having a crack at creating a Jumper that is more to scale with the 2010-2013 HF sets. So, I used this image for a rough reference as to what bits to use, especially for the legs: And came up with this: LEGO Hero Factory MOC - Jumper (to scale with Hero constraction sets) by TheOneVeyronian, on Flickr As you can see, most of the pieces I had to use weren't available in any of the colours used for the jumper base colours, so it had to be all black. In fact, I don't think I've seen many attempts at these, so I thought I'd try one instead. I could have used the short shoulder torso piece, but I'm very limited in black shells at the moment and what shells you do see was all I had to hand, it would have looked very unarmoured with the other torso. The head should also be the other way around in theory but the only printed version I can get at the moment is in orange, and even then the one that comes with Queen Beast would have looked very odd here anyway. I'll probably end up modding it further anyway. Well, that's all, it's fairly simple, but I hope you enjoyed looking at this MOC!

It's been a very productive day for me today, I've now got a small mecha (my first one actually) to show. I decided that my custom Stringer minifig needed a mech of his own (saw him getting jealous of my custom painted Nex piloting my revamped Evo Walker Turret thing ), so I created this small mech which I call "Stringer Sonic Machine", in keeping with Stringer's typical soundwave and sonic theme. It's equipped with a sonic blaster, a sound blade and an enormous speaker on the back, to which Stringer can pump out the tunes of that one genre of music known to bring down the Beasts... teen pop (I'm joking by the way).
