    Team Fortress 2 [MOC]

"Team Fortress 2 is centered around two opposing teams competing for an objective. These two teams are meant to represent a demolition and a construction company as a part of the backstory: Reliable Excavation Demolition (RED) and Builders League United (BLU). Players can choose to play as one of nine classes in these teams, each with their own unique strengths, weaknesses, abilities, and roles" - Wiki TF2 maps have a similar and fairly consistant art scheme so its safe to say this map isnt based of a specific scene but I took inspiration for quite a lot of maps, the most noticable being; Dustbowl, Badwater and Upward. With all that information in mind, like Saxton Hale himself, lets jump straight into the action! Blu Team are pushing against red who are defending their Inteligance briefcase (Basicly a flag in CTF). Demoman Drinking on the Job and a Heavy Medic combo pushing against a Scout. Pyro doing well spy checking! "Snipings' a good job mate!". Sniper poking out the window, engineer builidng a level 3 sentry and a Spy about to kill the engineer. The blue engineer below (myself) is stealing the briefcase! Red medic respawning...again... Teams! Demoman, Heavy, Medic, Engineer, Spyand Pyro. Scout, Soldier, Spy, Sniper, Engineer and medic. I hope you enjoyed it, let me know what you think and check out the Brickshelf page -Mightyslickpancake
  2. Finished my last SWAT TEAM Lego Minifigures . Each Minifigure is made with a Custom Design and parts, I hope you like it!
  3. Due to some work, non-work and other EB-related activities, I haven't been able to maintain/visit the Technic Forum as much as I would like. Therefor I figured that having an extra Regulator on-board is beneficial for both EB and myself. After discussion with other staff members we have decided to nominate Milan. He already has been answering your questions during the latest Technic contest and I am convinced he will continue to do so on a Technic forum wide basis. So I asked Milan if he is up for the task of Technic Regulator and he confirmed. However, one of his questions was whether he could still join Technic contests. Usually staff members aren't eligible to enter contests, but since Milan really loves to enter contests, I said he would still be allowed to participate. If there are any objections, please let me know. I'm sure we can work something out. For those of you interested in what a Regulator does. Here's a short list of activities: Show your presence by simply participating in your theme forum. Help maintaining indexes (details to be agreed with the theme forum responsible(s)). Resize oversized pics or point to our manuals for helping members to resize them themselves. Help members with basic questions like posting pics, deep linking, etc (by pointing to manuals). Etc So, Milan, welcome on board! Live long and prosper.
  4. Hello everyone... per an article I read a few weeks ago, the German National Football Team minifigures are going to be released on May 14th... that is just a few days away from today... for those AFOLs who have no access to buying directly in stores that are across the pond or next to the border of Germany, how would you go about acquiring a complete set?... I want to avoid eBay if at all possible, so any AFOLs out there willing to help those of us who are stuck?... (not sure if there has been a discussion devoted to this - my apologies if there is already)
  5. REVIEW - 42044 - DISPLAY TEAM JET INTRODUCTION The smallest of the 2016 sets, is the Display Team Jet. It doesn't seem to have lots of functionality, but maybe the landing gear is retractable. This set kind of reminds me to the 9394 - Jet Plane, although it's obviously a lot smaller. As you can read in my review of the 42052 - Heavy Lift Helicopter basically anything flying is +1 for me, so let's find out if this set also fits the bill. Note: All images can be clicked for hi-res versions. SET INFORMATION Number: 42044 Title: Display Team Jet Theme: Technic Released: 2016 Part Count: 113 Box Weight: 193 gr Box Dimensions: 15,4 cm x 13,8 cm x 5,9 cm Set Price (MSRP): € 9,99 Price per Part: € 0,088 Links: Brickset, Bricklink THE BOX Being a small set, it obviously comes in a small box. The Display Team Jet is an Aerobatics Jet, used in air shows. On the box it's flying rather high, but at least it's at a safe distance from the crowd. Front side shows the main model, together with a small section indicating you can use Digital Building instructions to build this model. BACK SIDE The back side shows the B-model, a Stunt Plane. And again a reference to the apps for Digital Building instructions. More on the Stunt Plane later. CONTENT OF THE BOX The box contains: 2 Instructions Booklets (A- and B-model) 1 Sticker Sheet 3 Technic Liftarms 2 Bags INSTRUCTION BOOKLETS Both the instructions for the A- and B-model are included in the box. STICKER SHEET A lot of stickers for such a small set. Apparently no panel is left untouched. LIFTARMS Three liftarms unsealed, nothing out of the ordinary for a small set. BAGS Two bags containing the rest of the parts. HIGHLIGHTED PARTS This section describes the new and/or otherwise interesting parts. YELLOW 5L AXLES The 5L Axle in Yellow has never been released before, so it's one of the new parts for this year. BLACK 7L FLEX AXLES For the layman this seems a common part, but the 7L Soft Axle actually has never been released in black before. Combined with the re-release of the 19L Soft Axle in black, this will open up lots of possibilities. For those of you thinking you've read this text before; you are right, the new Drag Racer contains these new 7L Flex Axles too. WHITE PANELS This small set comes with a whopping 10 panels. Great for the ones who like panels. Not so great if you think TLG is using too much panels lately. RUDDER This part, the Small Bionicle Wing, is the same as the one used in last year's 42033 - Record Breaker. PART LIST This set contains 113 parts, all listed below. THE BUILD This is the collection of parts, used to build the Jet. It sure looks like we are getting a landing gear. The build is fun, but pretty straightforward. There aren't any special or cool techniques used in this set. It almost took me more time to apply all the stickers than to build the actual model. FINISHED MODEL The finished Jet does look cool though. The white and yellow color scheme, combined with the stickers, work really well. I have seen people refer to the plane as being orange, but it's definitely yellow. Technic (or LEGO in general) tends to have some color variation when it comes to yellow. I do concur this is the warmer variant of yellow, but it's not orange. The back of the plane looks nice too, although I am not a big fan of the rudder part. It looks too detailed, compared to the other panels. It's not a big deal though, and maybe it's just me. PARTS LEFT Only three common parts left. FEATURES AND FUNCTIONS This set has a single feature and that is a retractable landing gear. It's operated by the black 12T Double Bevel Gear near the cockpit. In the following picture you can see the landing gear retracted. This image shows the landing gear when the plane is ready for landing. Hopefully the pilot will roll the plane before landing, but you probably know what I mean VIDEO Here's s short video demonstrating the Display Team Jet. B-MODEL This set also includes the building instructions for the B-model, a Stunt Plane. The building experience for the Stunt Plane is more or less the same as for the Jet. Well, what do you expect when both models are planes with a limited number of parts. For an alternative model the Stunt Plane looks fine. There's not a lot of functionality in this plane, but it's worth mentioning that the tail wheel allows the plane to roll on a flat surface. The plane also has working propellors. Both functions are demonstrated in the video. Unfortunately, the landing gear of the Stunt Plane is not retractable. PARTS LEFT A couple of extra leftover parts, but it's nice to see that most of the parts have been used in the B-model as well. Actually, there's probably an extra yellow Technic Smooth 1/2 Bush left. I just found it on my desk, but it could belong to one of the other sets. VIDEO Here's a video demonstrating the Stunt Plane. SUMMARY Two nice planes for 13 bucks, that's basically what you get. Both models look good and the set has some interesting new parts. Especially the 7L Flex Axle will be very popular. It comes with a decent collection of white panel, although they are very common nowadays. Both models have limited functionality, but each of them has at least one function to give the model some playability for kids, other than the swooshability that is. Okay, it might lack some proper functions, but I still think kids will love this set. I can see kids running around with one of the planes in their hands. All in all I think this set delivers what you'd expect. SCORE Let's see how this set flies! Remember that the grades are based on it being a small set. Obviously a set like this, cannot be compared with a Mercedes flagship. 8 DESIGN For a small set, the model looks very authentic. 7 BUILDING EXPERIENCE No surprises. 7 FEATURES Just the retractable landing gear. 8 PLAYABILITY It has swooshability, so I see kids running around with this model. 7 PARTS Lots of panels, if you are into that. 8 VALUE FOR MONEY Can't go wrong with these small sets. 7,5 FUN FOR KIDS More image can be found on my Flickr page. Thank you for reading. I hope you enjoyed it.
  6. After few month i finished my largest Model Team creation so far. As i am not very good with technic bricks, this is one of a kind, special edition, only rear wheel drive Land Rover :) Its motorized, working steering and lights, but cause of the weight i didnt connect IR receiver and cables, but its ready to do that. Weight with batteries is over 5000g so it hardly stands on wheels, for that reason there are 16 shocks absorbers, 8 didnt hold the vehicle up. Weight: 5000g Lenght: 553 mm, 70 studs Wide: 264 mm, 34 studs (including mirrors) Height: 260 mm, 33 studs Stickers are temporary, must find better font. More photos and details. https://www.flickr.c...th/15182048387/ A small vignette with the car: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=100720
  7. Hi Everyone, Just want to share a video and some photos of a MOC I recently finished. The aim was to make a compact studless chassis with a studded body over it. The result is that the bodywork can be easily taken off and the chassis can be reused for other models. More photos and instructions can be seen on Rebrickable: http://rebrickable.c...s/night-phoenix Thanks!

  9. MODEL TEAM CONTEST - RESULTS Although there weren't that many contestants, the Model Team contest still was a great success. It was nice to see that each entry was outstanding, and again, voting proved to be very hard. The outcome was very close. It has been a neck and neck race for 1st and 2nd place. Here we go.... 1st James Bond Lotus Esprit by Jeroen Ottens Entry Topic - Discussion Topic After his 3rd prize winning Grand Prix Racer in the Mini Build Contest, Jeroen has proven that he masters multiple building styles. His James Bond version of the Lotus Esprit is nothing short of spectacular! Congratulations! 2nd Camper Tricycle by Milan Entry Topic - Discussion Topic Words cannot describe how well this MOC is executed. Not to mention the originality. How do you come up with stuff like this. Good enough for 1st place, but 2nd is a great score nonetheless. 3rd Three-axle Compact Crane by Erik Leppen Entry Topic - Discussion Topic The color scheme, design and functionality combine three elements into a well executed MOC. This second Dutchie completes the Top 3 with a Bronze medal. Looking at the results it seems that the Dutch are good at Model Team building I will contact the winners via PM to handle their prizes. 10. I'm usually a train builder, and this is my first Bionicle MOC since 2009... TAHU - TOA OF FIRE 700 years after the defeat of Makuta, Tahu is still the leader of the Toa Nuva... or what remains of it. Tahu has witnessed the Battera War, where an indescribable army of machines had destroyed half of the Toa that had survived Makuta's reign of Terror before his defeat. He saw Kopaka calmly go to his death at the hands of the Machine army in a battle of mutual self-destruction. Kopaka destroyed the Machines, but Gali never forgave Tahu for not stopping the Toa of Ice from destroying himself in that final battle. He witnessed Gali swim off into the oceans of once what was called Aqua Magna, never to return. Her reason for doing so was revealed to Tahu, but this has never been told to anyone else. He now has bigger things to worry about: someone or something is picking off the Toa Nuva one by one... and he might just be next! SETREX - TOA OF IRON This Toa of Iron was originally a Matoran of Iron who received a strange stone from Kopaka just before he rode off to his doom. When Kopaka died, the stone transformed Setrex into a Toa. With his new-found powers, Setrex set about making his new Kanohi mask, from a chunk of protodermis and a old Iron Wolf skull. He created a new type of Kanohi, one he sort of after Kopaka.. This mask has the power of seeing the unseen, like shielded or invisible objects become visible in slightly hazy form to Setrex. The reason for the Iron Wolf skull was simple: Toa Kopaka was always a kind of Lone Wolf, and his mask of X-Ray vision was the inspiration for the power type. Now he lives on, in a way, in the Kanohi Kopak. The Toa of Iron has now joined forces with the remaining Toa Nuva, (Tahu & Takanuva) and a shadow Toa named Vercaz in search of the being - or beings - who wants the Nuva dead. VERCAZ - TOA OF TWILIGHT Created from a Matoran of Light that had been drained of his light by the Makuta 700+ years ago, Vercaz the shadow matoran was turned into a Toa of Shadow artificially by an unknown process. After the defeat of the Makuta by Mata Nui, the shadow Toa wandered the wastes of Spherus Magna and eventually came to the shrine of the Mask of Life. Touching the mask in a effort to put it on, he was blasted by the Toa of Light, Takanuva. The mask cured his evil-tainted soul, and the Toa restored his light halfway. Now called the Toa of Twilight, Vercaz has turned to the side of good. He has half the powers of a Toa of Shadow and half of a Toa of Light. However, Vercaz still has nightmares about his time as a Toa of Shadow, and he worries about the fine balance he must walk. He has set off on a quest with Takanuva, Tahu Toa of fire, and Setrex, a toa of Iron to find the ones responsible for the deaths of Onua, Pohatu, & Lewa. The whole team, minus Takanuva. 11. MODEL TEAM VEHICLE Entering the last contest (Mini Build) with a Model Team creation wasn't allowed. To compensate we are now looking for Model Team creations...and Model Team only! We know there's a thin line between Model Team and Creator Series, so we won't be overly critical about the entries. If you want to know more about what is considered Model Team, here's an elaborate topic about it. DESCRIPTION Build a LEGO Model Team vehicle with a maximum size of 46 x 16 STUDS. For example: Truck Jeep Formula One Car Boat Helicopter ... In my opinion Model Team is a model with a Technic chassis, a brick built bodywork and a couple of functions/features. DEADLINE Deadline date is October 3rd, 2014. Contest will be closed on Saturday the 4th, so you will have the entire Friday to build. Closing time on Saturday is whenever I feel like it (most likely after breakfast), so consider Friday to be the deadline. CONTEST SPECIFIC RULES AND REGULATIONS Maximum size is 46 x 16 STUDS (rear view mirrors and comparable parts sticking out don't count towards the width of the vehicle). NO Electronics (PF, Mindstorms, etc) are allowed. Only OFFICIAL LEGO parts. No chrome unless it's official LEGO (see previous rule) Ropes/Strings, rubber bands and pneumatic tubing need to be official LEGO parts. Set must have at least one, preferably more, functions. Aesthetics do count. ONLY Model Team. GENERAL RULES AND RESTRICTIONS The contest is open to all EB members (also new members). Members who joined EB after the start of the contest can be banned from voting (when vote rigging is suspected). Voting rules will be explained later in the voting topic. One entry per member. Entries need to be new (never posted anywhere previously). Only physical builds, so no LDD or other virtual entry. If you have any doubts about the suitability of your entry contact me. All entries are to include only real LEGO. No clone brands, 3rd party parts, or digital entries allowed. Decals (stickers) will be allowed if you've made them yourself, but no cutting, sculpting or modifying parts. Entries are to be placed in the (soon to be created) entry topic in this forum. Entries not in the (soon to be created) entry topic are not eligible for voting. The entry post may be edited at any time up to the end of the contest, so feel free to make improvements if you wish. We reserve the right to disqualify any entry that does not follow these rules. These rules can be changed whenever we see fit to ensure that people follow the intent of the contest. Staff members are not eligible for winning prizes. WHAT DO I NEED TO ENTER? All participant need to create a discussion topic and create a post in the entry topic. DISCUSSION TOPIC A discussion topic starting with [MT]. ENTRY POST The entry post (in the soon to be created entry topic) should contain: Entry name Short summary of the functions. Promotional image (this one should kick megablocks!) The promotional image needs to be clear and crisp image, which really shows the model in it's best way. Think of it as the image on the box. Building a great MOC is one thing, but a decent presentation really helps you to get more votes. Like the Mini Build contest a composite image is allowed. PRIZES For this contest the prizes aren't sponsored by TLG, so they are a bit different than you are used to. I have come across two Model Team sets, which I will donate to the 1st and 2nd place winners. Both sets are in okay condition, although they haven't fully stood the test of time. Some of the white parts have turned a bit yellowish, but I still think both sets are well worth having in your collection. The 3rd prize winner will receive a Creator set, which I more or less consider a Mini Model Team set. I will probably unpack the set and flatten the box, so I can send it using an envelop. Disclaimer: I will send these sets out myself. When something goes wrong and the set is missing in action, I won't be able to replace it. 1st PRIZE 5580 - Highway Rig 2nd PRIZE 5510 - Off-Road 4x4 3rd PRIZE 31018 - Highway Cruiser
  12. MODEL TEAM VOTING TOPIC This topic will be used as a voting topic for the Model Team contest. VOTING RULES AND REGULATIONS Voting scheme uses the old Formula One style point distribution (10, 6, 4, 3, 2 and 1 POINT) You need to assign 10 points to the 1st place, 6 points to the second and so one. You need to vote for 6 ENTRIES (no more, no less) Clearly mention the ENTRY NUMBER and the NUMBER OF POINTS per entry that you vote on. If you joined Eurobricks after the start of the contest, you can be banned from voting (when vote rigging is suspected) You may NOT vote for your own entry. In the event of a tie for any place the Technic Staff will decide which entry wins. Our decision is final. Questions about voting can be asked in the Model Team Contest Information. For example (entries randomly chosen for example): --- comments can be placed above the votes 5: 10 (no comments here please) 6: 6 1: 4 9: 3 7: 2 3: 1 Or comments can be placed below the votes ---- NOTES Please use this exact notation NUMBER: VOTES (with a colon). Please use this thread only for voting. You may explain why you made your choice, but any general discussion should take place in the Model Team Contest Information Topic. Comments should be placed ABOVE or BELOW the votes. Please don't comment on the same line as the votes. VOTING CRITERIA The idea about this contest is to create a Model Team model which reflects the old school Model Team style using a modern approach. 14. I present my 1980 Red Trans Am. It is a very sturdy build. Functions include steering via the red knob on trunk (Think 1978 948: Go-Kart), removable T-tops, and opening doors. http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// And video https://www.youtube....h?v=b_T4HSlT0PY
  15. I present my 1987 Porsche 911 Turbo Slant Nose. I went for form over function on this build. It has opening doors and engine compartment. I followed a blue print for this model that I blew up to 155% on the copier at work. It translated to 14 studs wide by 36 studs long. I pride myself on making sturdy models (no large pieces held on by 1 stud here) and this one is no exception to my standards. I am very happy with how the Mixel ball joints worked out on the window framing, as they are fairly new pieces and I haven’t seen it done before. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
